Treat you & your date to this gem of a place! I had the filet and my wife had the salmon. Both were delicious. The brussel sprouts were incredible! They convinced us to try the butter cake. DEAR LORD IN HEAVEN!!!!! Wow! Do not go and miss this!

Visited Cincinnati for the Bengals game and took friends to Losanti -- perfect choice. We sat outside with great weather and even better service. I had the 7oz filet mignon with charred onion mashed potatoes, elote-style corn, and grilled asparagus. Everything was cooked perfectly, and the $3 compound butter was absolutely worth it. The potatoes were amazing, and while I wish there was a bit more asparagus, the flavors were spot-on. Drinks were great too -- the espresso martini was fresh and not pre-made. For dessert, we split a skillet cookie with ice cream and a butter cake -- both fantastic. For six people with wine, cocktails, apps, and entrées, the bill was about $600 -- a great deal for the quality. Losanti beats the big chains easily. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Cincinnati!

We went to Losanti after the FC game because it was in walking distance. Wait time: about 15 minutes with reservations. Atmosphere: very crowded and loud. Service: our server was well rehearsed with all the items on the menu, was very helpful, and very attentive. Food: I thought the food was good. I believe the whole table ordered steaks. They were all cooked exactly how we asked. No complaints. Price: a little pricey for what you get but standard for a place like this. $$$$ Cleanliness: extremely clean

Our second experience here was even better than the first. I really think the Mac and cheese is what weighed down the previous experience because we ordered steaks, fries, and the eggplant Parmesan and it was all outstanding! Service was excellent and we sat outside which was lovely on a warmer day. We also tried the butter cake, which is a glorified pancake with a scoop of ice cream - it was good but not the kind of dessert we would normally get, nor would we order it again. This has become one of our favorite date spots!

Burrata, mussels, grilled bread. Really really good.

Once again they hit a home run - oysters from New Brunswick were delicious, a hearty Gem salad, the burrata and pear over the grilled bread was wonderful, the espresso martini was as good as everyone says it is (!), the filet mignon needed NO accompaniment of sauce because THAT'S the mark of a great steak well-prepared, and the service from entering to exiting and everything in between was top notch. A very comfortable environment in which to enjoy all that great food. For a great meal I don't think you can do any better. 5 stars again for you, Losanti!

Espresso Martinis - seriously awesome job from the bartender.

Really enjoyed our recent visit to Losanti, and we will definitely be back! Cozy and intimate seating (not small per se; you're close to other diners but it didn't seem that cramped, but then again we had a corner booth?). Food was EXCELLENT - my wife had a filet and I had the Lobster Americaine, which I thought was spectacular. We also ordered the burrata appetizer (good) and an onion mashed potatoes as a side - the mashed potatoes were shockingly good! We did order a side meatball as well, which was just OK. One of the real stars was the drinks - my wife and I both ordered espresso martinis, which literally may have been one of the best espresso martinis I have ever had; they make theirs with a caramel Baileys (per our waiter) which I have to try the next time I make one at home! Don't miss out on Losanti - they did an excellent job and we will definitely be back!

Losanti is a wonderful choice for a special date night. The ambiance is romantic, the staff is friendly and very helpful with the menu, and the food is delicious. My husband and I stopped in before a show and enjoyed everything we got!

Losanti is one of our top restaurants in Cincinnati and we take every opportunity we can to visit for a nice meal. We went for our anniversary most recently and it was excellent as usual. We had the burrata and crab cake appetizers. I don't usually like peach but the burrata was still excellent while the crab cake was meaty and delicious. The green beans with the crab cake were a little too rich for me but had a nice flavor. After the appetizers, I was already feeling full and wishing I'd paced myself better, but our entrees were worth it. I had the chicken parm which comes with spaghetti. It's a huge portion and such comfort food. My husband had the steak with roasted garlic on it and said it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. On the side, we shared the macaroni and cheese and truffle fries. I'm not the biggest fan of mac, but this one has a deep and delicious umami flavor, totally worth trying. The truffle fries were indulgent and one of my favorite things on the table! In previous visits, we've had the giant meatballs, mushrooms, and wedge salad - all are amazing so I included photos of those too. Service is always top notch and the setting is excellent too. It's in an old building and it usually has just the right lighting, etc. On our anniversary, they put out a small placecard, which I thought was a nice touch.

Only good things to say about this place! The food was unique and delicious. Service was good and we loved the patio atmosphere on a beautiful evening. We are surprised this place isn't talked about more! It has a diverse menu and we enjoyed everything we tried. We started with the kale Caesar salad and Burrata appetizer which were both good! The filet with blue cheese butter was incredible, cooked exactly as I asked with amazing flavor. The Parmesan fries were really good as well! My husband got the lobster pasta and he loved it. We finished with the butter cake with gelato and it was very unique and tasty, but huge and extremely sweet- I definitely recommend splitting! We look forward to coming back.

I live in California but came to Losanti with friends who live in Cincinnati. It was dinner on a weeknight but we made reservations and sat "outside" (a covered area closed off from weather. The ambiance was ok but looked much better inside - go for inside if you can! The food exceeded my expectations and so did the price! I was not expecting California type pricing in Cincinnati. Price aside, the service was friendly and helpful. The food was definitely the highlight and dessert was so good. (The friends for company weren't bad either lol) I'd visit again!

Great food. Great service! Great ambiance. Cheap no but great yes. Started with a couple oysters, moved on to the meatballs (incredible) and bone marrow (delicious!). Didn't get a picture of the filet or the butter cake dessert. Both delicious. I'd come back just to try the lobster dish.

long story short: good food, but overpriced & some issues with execution We walked in as a group of 5 & were thrilled that they had seating available. We were seated outside, which was lit with strands of lights & heated. It was a very environment, & shockingly warm despite the cold weather. Our server was knowledgeable & kind, but I must complain that they did not do anything special for the birthday we were celebrating; I understand not adding a candle in the cake isn't a huge deal, but I was hoping for some celebratory flair. We thoroughly enjoyed our cocktails, but I was shocked to see that the non-alcoholic options were the same price as the alcohol-containing drinks. To me, that seems like a scam; I am a huge supporter of mocktails, but $15 is a crazy price to pay for one. We ordered the steak frites & the burger. Both were delicious, but the steak frites had some issues. First, the steak is tiny; when they first brought the order out, I thought it was a half portion, as the steak appeared to be half of a normal cut. For $40, it was an embarrassingly small amount of meat. Second, it was lukewarm at best. We told our server, who offered to reheat it, but it was brought back still barely warm. That being said, the entrees were delicious. I was especially impressed with the burger, which was well worth $18 price tag. We also got house salad, but it was incredibly bland, even with the salami & olives. I would not recommend this salad. Next was dessert: the immaculate butter cake. In the past, it was served hot & this cake was slightly warm, which was slightly disappointing. But temperature aside, it is one of the best desserts I've ever had. I would come to Losanti for the butter cake alone.

Taking my hubby on a date here.. was curious if I should sit in the enclosed patio or inside? The pictures seem like the inside is kind of small and bunched together: the outside looks a little more airy and spaced out. Is this the case?

Yes, the inside is bunched together, but don't go there. It's pricey, stuffy, and the food is just OK...

Are they kid friendly?

It is a small space but when I went there was a family with two little girls and one was celebrating her birthday. Depending on where you sit a high chair may not be ideal for the smaller seating areas.

We sat at the bar for dinner, during Restaurant week and decided to order a few items off the regular menu. The bartender Matt was great and extremely helpful. It is a very cute space, I did not go upstairs, but the bar area is very nice. We had the salmon with broccolini and roasted red peppers which was pretty good. We also had the hummus plate - the hummus and pita chips were good, although I didn't really like the quinoa only because it has a very heavy vinegar on it. I did not eat the pierogies because they have cheese in them, but my friend did and really loved them! It is street parking, so be mindful of that.
