I recently had dinner here with my daughter and we both enjoyed it quite a bit. The food was very good and the service excellent. What we ordered: Espresso Martini N/A Cocktail Tuna Poke Nachos 18 Hour Short Rib Stuffed Chicken The cocktails were great! The complimentary bread was ok. Presentation was lacking since it's served in a white paper bag. The tuna poke nachos were awesome! My daughter and I finished them off easily. So good! Our entrees were just as delicious. The stuffed chicken came with mashed potatoes, carrots and green beans. My daughter said it was excellent. My short rib was amazing. The only complaint would be that the ravioli was very undercooked. Located in picturesque Mariemont, I put this on my list after noticing it by the movie theater. The red interior was visibly stunning and I loved the ambiance. We went early in the evening on Friday, and it wasn't too crowded at all. Service was quick and friendly. I really enjoyed the bread that came with the meal. We ordered the Ruby Red Trout and Stuffed Chicken. Both were very tasty, but I think the Stuffed Chicken came out on top out of the two. My husband and I finally tried this place since moving to Terrace Park two and a half years ago, I do t know what took so long! We went on a beautiful evening, went early to make sure we got a spot on the patio (reservations are for inside only). It's such a cute patio, makes you feel like you're in Europe. Our server was very sweet and attentive. We started with some wonderful gin cocktails and the tuna tartare which was fantastic. We split the Quarter salad, we went with the half size which was just right. For dinner I had the duck which was amazing and my husband had the scallops which is a house favorite for a good reason, get them you won't regret it! Went there tonight for the first time with my two kids. A close friend of mine works there and another one had a benefit for a foundation she supposed. I had the steak frites with the garlic mushrooms and it was amazing. My kids especially loved the French fries and they reminded me of fair fries. I got the Key Lime tart to bring home and can't wait to try it. The restaurant was very quaint and loved the ambiance. We have been coming to Quarter Bistro for many years. Their quality is always consistent, and we love the atmosphere. Tuna tartar is one of our favorites, as well as the flatbreads that our son enjoys. Filet mignon on risotto bed is delicious. I must keep reminding myself to ask for light salt in my dishes since that is how I like my food. Historically, some dishes there were too salty for my taste, but I can order them the way I prefer. I also like the easiness of getting the reservations there, even on busy days. The staff is very well organized and trained. We never had any issues with the rudeness or unattentiveness. My only recommendation for this business is to work (change) on the menu more often since staying with almost identical menus for years might not be good for keeping regular clients. read more

A great little bar for a few cocktails then seated in a cool dining area. We started with the Calamari which was perfectly battered and fried. As much as I wanted to love Quarter Bistro, I was a little disappointed. I first saw pictures of QB's food on Instagram and marked it on my "to try list". I finally got around to trying QB and in my opinion it fell a little short. We went when they first opened at around 4 or 5 pm so there wasn't a wait. We were seated immediately and the server begin to take our drink orders. The service was good and speedy but the food wasn't all that great. We ordered wine to go with our meals and I can say their wine was pretty good. We started by ordering side salads as our appetizer. I ordered the Quarter Salad and my husband ordered the Caesar Salad. The Quarter Salad had Artisan Greens, Golden Raisin, Amaretto Almond, Crouton, Sherry Vinaigrette. It was actually very tasty and I enjoyed the salad. My husband also enjoyed his Caesar. For dinner, I ordered the Scottish Salmon and my husband ordered the Gerber Chicken. It seems like they keep the overall main dishes the same but change the sides according to season. My dish came with house-made pasta and a pea and mushroom succotash. The salmon was cooked nice but the whole dish lacked a little in flavor. The pasta texture also wasn't quite right. The noodle shells were a little mushy and didn't hold up. They looked nice on the plate but when you went to cut into them they fall apart. The mushroom and peas were pretty good. My husband's chicken was bland but his risotto was pretty tasty. His green beans were typical restaurant green beans, crunchy and bland. Overall, I had been wanting to try QB for awhile and when I finally did the food was mediocre. Maybe we'll come back to give it another try but it will honestly be awhile as there are plenty of other restaurants in the area that have better tasting food. read more

It's early January when the weather fluctuates between cold and miserable. You're burnt out from all the holiday chaos, so what do you want when dining out? NO SURPRISES! One of my favorite spots is The Quarter Bistro because when it comes to consistency, great service and relaxing atmosphere, they can't be beaten! Over the years, it's become the preferred gathering place for my circle of friends to reconnect and catch up. Their wine list has something for everyone but then again I'm not an expert. I just know what suits me. The chef always has a mouthwatering special to tempt you but tonight I opted for their hamburger. It's one of the few places I feel confident in ordering a rare burger. After all the varying menus I've sampled during the holidays, I needed the simple pleasures of a great burger and fries. Our server was attentive but not annoying. My spouse and I went to Quarter Bistro for a Thursday dinner meal. Decor was out of a 1980's movie. The server was borderline snotty. All tables around us where served before us, even though we ordered before the other people came in. $12 arugula salad was lackluster. Arugula salad with shaker parmesan and dressing? Bread served in a to go bag. Mussels were fishy, steak sandwich was wellllll done. My husband is a 40 year chef starting when he was 14 cleaning dishes. We also owned our own restaurant for 8 years. Full disclosure this is my go-to establishment when dining in Cincinnati. Adam, the GM, runs a tight ship and employs a solid staff. The food is solidly a 4.5 out of 5 all the time. The service is consistently a 5 out of 5. Add to this that The Quarter is located in a scenic east side cincinnati neighborhood (post dining it makes for an excellent place to walk). Go and try it. Price points are a little higher, but you get what you pay for !!! read more

They first told us the wait would be 45 minutes to be seated outside. However the wait was a lot shorter and we were seated within 10 minutes of our arrival. The food was incredible, but the service wasn't great, it took about 30 minutes between courses to get what we needed. Also we needed to ask for bread. read more

My husband and I came on a Thursday night around 6:30. It was not busy, and we had no wait to get a table. It was clean and comfortable with a retro atmosphere and romantic lighting with fresh roses on the table. Our server was very nice, but frequented a couple of tables that seemed to be regulars, which caused a delay in our service and getting our food after others who had been seated after us. It took about 45 minutes for our entrees to come out after ordering. The crabcake was good, but very wet and doughy in the middle. My husband's burger was ok. The bun was so wet it fell apart after 2 bites. And the same with my Wagyu steak tacos where the shell was so wet it fell apart. Everything tasted fine besides that. We started with baked stuffed mushrooms, garden salad, and a shrimp entouffee over rice. Everything was outstanding. However we got the cheesecake for dessert. This was an OMG moment. There is something in this that is not in any other I've had. I said I don't know if I'll ever get it anywhere else again. Nothing will measure up, and I've had some great cheesecake. With an intimate atmosphere, Quarter Bistro has the ambience of a posh European cafe. I was really hoping to sit outside and enjoy the gorgeous weather, but unfortunately there wasn't a free table. Oh well... On to the food- I started with the quarter salad with almonds and golden raisins. Yum! I also tried their watermelon and jalapeño gazpacho. It was light and refreshing- perfect for a summer evening. Our starters were also accompanied by freshly baked bread. SWOON! Unfortunately, however, we waited about an hour between our starter and main course. Considering the restaurant was only half full, the service we received was rather disappointing. Eventually, we got our main course. I had the Scottish Salmon. The salmon was cooked to perfection. I found the sauce to be overly sweet with the pineapple, and the bok choy was dry, tough, and virtually inedible. The table also ordered some truffle fries--which the server forgot--after waiting 15 minutes, the finally came. OMG!!! These are the best fries I've ever had! No ketchup necessary! I ordered a large Caesar salad this evening and was disappointed beyond belief. Here's why: 1. The Romaine was about half the amount I've received before 2. I asked for three sides of Caesar dressing... I got 3 HALF sides of dressing 3. I asked for two sides of goat cheese... I got a quarter of ONE side of goat cheese 4. I asked for a side of anchovies... I received two and A HALF anchovies 5. I asked for a plastic to-go container (easier to shake the dressing with the salad) and goat cheese croquettes (which they have for their beet salad on the current menu); I have no problem with either of these items, as I understand why they may be low on croquettes or plastic to-go containers I afterward texted the General Manager, explaining that I rarely complain, but for $15.50, it was the sorriest salad I'd ever seen out of that kitchen. His response? "Sorry to hear that." I would definitely not recommend this restaurant at this point in time. If I could leave a zero star rating, I surely would. It seems that they, like everyone else at this point, are price gouging, ignoring customer complaints, keeping their heads in the past instead of the present (looking toward the future), and ignoring lapses in product and service instead of seeing feedback as an opportunity to improve. This was our first visit to Quarter Bistro, and we have only great things to say about our experience. The overall ambiance was friendly, colorful, and festive. Every aspect of our dinner was first class, starting with the menu selections. I had the crab and corn chowder as a starter. My entrée was absolutely superb ( Verlasso Salmon -- Goat Cheese & Pesto Tortellini, Cherry Tomato, Tomato Jam, Sauteed English Peas Wild Mushroom, & Cauliflower, Ramp Beurre Blanc). The service was excellent from beginning to end. And the bartenders were generous with the drinks (cocktails and wine). Kudos to Executive Chef Chris Montgomery, Sous Chef Ty Byrd, and to all the Managers and Support Staff !!! I was a little skeptical of this place at first (not sure why). Abby and I had dinner here before seeing a show at the Mariemont Theater, and it was fantastic. It was one of those last nice mild days of October, and we sat outside. The courtyard was very pleasant. The wine and alcohol selection is solid. Service was fast and friendly, but the food was the real star. I had the Jamaican Pork Medallion, and it was delicious. It was perfectly seasoned. All the flavors came together just right. Abby got some kind of pasta dish that doesn't seem to be on the menu anymore. We liked it so much that after the show we came back for an after dinner drink and dessert. We shared some kind of delicious chocolate dessert and I had an Irish coffee. Perfect end to a great date night. My husband and I visited here within the last month or so. We are trying to visit local Cincy restaurants more versus the chains we are always going to so my husband found this on Open Table. It has a cute atmosphere but it quickly became less charming when we were literally seated next to another couple along a wall...literally a plant between the tables and the other woman moved her coat so as to not impose on my space on the bench seat a foot away from her. It was like we were having a double date with a couple we didn't know. The moscato was good and our server was a very polite gentleman. The food was ok for the price. You could tell it is very popular with the older crowd and it was filling up with regulars the entire time we were there on a Friday night.
