This is my third time at this restaurant and it's been positive up to today. We got here on Mother's Day at 4:30. They were already out of there pork chops, which is a main course. How can you not anticipate a big crowd on a major day? Even though the menu clearly says you can upgrade to a signature side, we were told that was a typo. Then mash potatoes aren't available till after 5, on a popular holiday, even though the menu make no mention of that. They took a special date and really cast bad vibes on it. read more

Its awesome and from my understanding they do weekly specials as well as daily specials and different theme nights like trivia, karaoke, bingo, etc. The staff is nice enough and the food was delicious, the menu is super extensive. I have now visited David's three times, and I cannot say enough nice things about the fantastic neighborhood gem. The atmosphere and warm friendly staff are perfect. The food is wonderful. This place used to be the Iron Skillet, so our expectations were high . We had been hearing some good buzz about this place, so we ate here on a Sunday nite. This is the only day that they normally have prime rib which is my favorite entree. I got that and my wife ordered the pork chop, She said it was at least the second best pork chop she has had in her entire life. There was a disparity in one menu item's description and what was brought, so the server brought the manager who corrected the problem quickly and cheerfully. The air conditioner was working overtime, so bring an overgarment if you are cold-blooded. Our server was Sabrina who was friendly and attentive. We started with the Saratoga chips followed by entrees of Salmon Florentine, chicken Caesar, burger and baked potatoes. Everything was yummy and well cooked. We went here for lunch yesterday with family, a 12 top. Our server was Alyssa. We waited as long as we could for part of our party. Alyssa was patient. We finally ordered without the late comers. Even with the order finally in the wait time was very long, though not the server's fault. We heard the kitchen staff was short, but still. The food began to trickle out, with the first item being my salad, I loved that the salad plate was cold, then ten minutes later three others received their food, and so on, you get the picture. The late comers finally arrived and now Alyssa had to readjust her management of the table with seat changes and etc. Anyhow, that's how the delivery of food went. The food itself was not a treat. Some at the table ordered the Cod Basket, including myself, and they were pretty much cold and greasy and unenjoyable. I'm not sure about other folks, but I did not hear anyone raving about how good their meal was. The ambiance was kind of fun, though the small back room where we were was loud. I felt sorry for the other two tables that had to endure the noise. I feel that Alyssa did her best considering all circumstances. I will say that the floor was very slippery with the wetness from the rain, almost icy-like slippery. Be warned on a rainy day. Sorry to say that we will not be back for a return visit. We have too many lunch options between my house and David's Kitchen and Bar. read more

This is such a hidden gem. Truly! We've been to this establishment multiple times. Every single thing, down to the signature cocktails have been incredible. Pretzel app, best cheese squares I've ever had! Burgers, amazing. Chicken sandwiches, incredible! Fries, so good (and I'm really not a French fry fan) every single thing we've ever had here has been amazing. All the food and condiments are house made. I absolutely love this place. First time trying the new David's restaurant. Interior of the restaurant wasn't changed much from previous one. Staff was prompt and efficient. Our fish sandwiches were hot, crispy and delicious. Probably one of the best I've had. The grilled asparagus was seasoned a little salty but had a freshly grilled taste. Technically their fries were waffle fries. They are not my husband's favorite but he ate them readily. We will try the Saratoga chips next time. This is a pleasant place on the East side of town to have lunch or dinner. read more

A buddy of mine was playing music and we decided to go check this place out. It was amazing!!!! From the food to the staff. All 5 Stars. I was blown away by the fried cheese for starters. They take a chunk of fresh sliced cheese and batter it with this amazing breading and fried perfectly. I wanted to steal more off other people's plates. Then they made a french fry like I've never had. So good. Those came with this Hot Chicken sandwich with slaw which was the best one in the city. I will 100% be back. The waitress told me that they do all kinds of cool stuff during the week. Karaoke, music , and a vinyl night where a DJ plays your album you bring. And if all that's not enough. So far, we've eaten the short rib sandwich, the Philly cheese steak, chicken tenders, and the chicken bacon ranch flat bread. It was all so good! The fries are AMAZING! Had to go back for round 2! Thursday at 5:30 busy busy busy! Seated within 5 minutes very quick with our beverages. I ordered the seasonal salmon Florentine. Charbroiled salmon fresh cut. served over sautéed spinach and peppers and capers in a lemon butter sauce. Absolutely divine, salmon cooked to perfection and very very hot. The spinach was not overcooked and very flavorful in the lemon butter caper sauce. I highly recommend I will be returning to check out other menu items. Great job. Best dining experience we've had in quite some time. We arrived at the restaurant around 7pm on a Saturday night, party of 2 and we were told about a 35 minute wait. However we had just enough time to get a drink at the bar and we were called to our table maybe 5 minutes after we arrived. Appetizer and Dinner was made to perfection, both of us had steaks, my wife got the steak Diane and I the ribeye. All night the owner Mr. David was out in the dining room making sure everyone was thoroughly enjoying themselves. They had a one man band playing and singing, not to loudly but just enough to add to the whole experience. If ou have a chance, I highly advise giving them a try, it is worth it. read more

This was our first visit to David's for our family of 5 and I have to say the experience was average for a Saturday. We were seated right away upstairs. There was live music but it was much quieter where we sat, making it easier to communicate with our kiddos. My husband and I both agreed we would love to come back for a date night. The menu is very heavy in appetizers and sandwiches which seemed a little off given it was dinner time. Maybe try a smaller menu with more seasonally appropriate specials or separate lunch and dinner menus to better highlight the sandwiches. Obviously it's personal preference but I just wouldn't typically go for a sandwich at dinner time. Food started strong with the giant pretzel (definitely try the mustard). It was very fresh and came out super hot. I really wanted to rave about the short rib because it was cooked beautifully and absolutely tender but it was missing some acid. A balsamic or red wine reduction would have put it over the top. I could also tell it was sitting a little while before they brought it out as it wasn't even remotely hot. The garden salad was an afterthought. Spring mix of greens that was a little brown with pre-shredded cheese and bottled Italian dressing. I'm not expecting a side salad to blow my mind but it left a lot to be desired. The fries were a big surprise. They had that fresh cut vibe and reminded me of the duck fat fries from taste of Belgium. You could make an entire menu around loaded fries they were so good. I love seeing out of the ordinary items on the kids menu. The steak bites were a creative idea, but my sons were well done and a little challenging for him to eat. Next time I'd ask for them to be cooked closer to med-rare. My kids love dips, so it would have been more enjoyable for them to have some dip options too (not detracting points for this, just a suggestion). As far as service, our waitress seemed stressed. She was trying her best to be attentive but we would go long periods of time without seeing her and she wasn't super engaging. I do wonder if it had to do with where we were seated or some sort of breakdown in systems. Being upstairs seems like a logistical nightmare for waitstaff! There were a few other things that I felt could be improved that I won't go into since I've already written a book. Overall, not a bad experience. I love getting to support a local business, trying food that's a little more out of the ordinary and would love to go back another time to see if it was just an off night. We need more out of the box restaurants so my advice to the David's team is to just keep refining. You're so close to being a really special place that your community will cherish! read more
