If you are an onion ring fan, look no further. Huge, crispy, flavorful, and the sauce selection is incredible. Best we've had in 15 years of searching! Their salad is a great accompaniment to the rings. Friendly, consistent, and specials are delicious. Worth a right turn over the bridge!

Well this place was a surprise and a delight. They home make most of their food. Everything we had was pretty good really. Service was good, place was clean. I want to come back for Margarita Monday, Tito's Tuesday or Wine Wednesday. Not sure what any of those specials mean- but sounds fun! -Mini beef burgers were excellent! Love that you could choose as many toppings as you wanted! - Salad was excellent, like that you can get this as a side option instead of just fries or onion rings. - Fried pickles were really good and I don't like fried food or pickles :) - Wings were pretty standard. - Motz Sticks - love that they were homemade and super gooey. Wish there was less oregano in the batter because it threw the taste off for me. - Fries were okay. Pretty sure they are homemade.

You know what's wonderful? Ludlow Tavern. This is how you make a dive bar. Ludlow Tavern is the kind of place where everyone knows your name, but will likely forget it by the end of the night. Why? Because the beer selection is great and the atmosphere just makes you want to order "just one more." When it comes to bar food, Ludlow Tavern is top-notch. The sliders (I ordered the turkey sliders; $8 combo) were delicious and the cheese stix ($6) were regretfully awesome. It's the kind of bar food that you can tell is fresh and that, at least most of the food isn't coming from a bag in the freezer. The fries were just okay, but lacked any memorable flavor. Ludlow Tavern's patio is fantastic. The only downside to the patio is that they allow smoking (only on the patio). On the plus side, the patio is dog-friendly, so there were mammals that I actually liked there. On a warm day, order a local brew ($5.50) or a raspberry margarita ($6), sit on the porch, pet a dog, and enjoy bliss.

Wow! What a way to spend our 1 year wedding anniversary! I loved this place…read more It has been a few months since eating here but I still find myself thinking about it. Our next trip to Cincinnati; It will be extremely difficult to stay away from here. We spent the day in Newport and around Cincinnati and wanted somewhere nice for the occasion. I was iffy on this place at first... you can throw a rock all over America and hit a place with 'Barrel' in the name these days. The Yelp reviews swing both ways here but I'm here to tell you my take... because it swings so far towards the 5 stars that it's very much a 6 or 7 star place(maybe more). We gauged our arrival time based on other activities that day. We wanted ample time at the nearby Lego exhibit so when we arrived there, we made a reservation for 4:30-5. Eating early and making our way back to Louisville was a great idea. The entire time we were there, no one else came in so we had the entire place to ourselves(It was a Friday). The atmosphere is homey but during busy times, I could see it being noisy. The booths could easily fit 6 people comfortably... probably 8 in some cases depending on how wide some of you are. Special Note: This place highlights The Parrillada Experience for Two on their menu and we wanted it! We didn't order it because at a price tag of 130-and pictures online, we didn't want it to be a failed outing. After our first trip, The Parrillada Exp will be on the agenda next time. It's a mixture of different steaks, sausages, shrimp, sides, and salads. Definitely worth the cost. On to the food: Sausage App - Argentine Chorizo. Farmhouse Sausage. Grilled Ciabatta. Hearts of Palm. Green/Red chimichurri. Pepper Relish. I don't like ordering this type of dish when I go places because you never know if it's going to be delicious or very bad. It ended up being super delicious. We couldn't make up our mind which sauce we liked the best and which meat we liked the best. App PERFECTION! Land and Sea - This is what my wife went with. Asada Skirt Steak. Jumbo Shrimp. Asparagus. Red chimichurri butter. I had bites of the shrimp and it was good. I had to save room for my dish. Wagyu Denver Cut - I went back and forth. Lobster ravioli being on the menu almost made my decision instant but I was going back and forth between ravioli, steak, and a few other things. I asked the server which he recommended of the 4 Chef's cuts. He recommended two... one of which was the Wagyu so I went with it. I wasn't disappointed AT ALL. He mentioned that the Wagyu Denver Cut was a new addition to the menu... I'm not sure but you could definitely tell it was cooked, arranged, and presented with care. I savored every angle of every bite. We also ordered a side of brussels because of course! Originally we were going to dessert somewhere else but went ahead and ordered the Hazelnut Vanilla Creme Brulee here. Perfect ending to the meal. This brulee was light and had the right amount of crunch. It was also larger than expected. We had no complaints with this place. Easily one of the better restaurants I've had in Cincinnati. If you're doubting visiting this place, take the dive! Other notes: They have beer and a small cocktail variety but they primarily seem focused on wine(plenty of options to choose from).

I do realize it is a chain but so far they have nailed all the prerequisites of what they need to be a successful chain in my opinion. Definitely recommended to get reservations the day before as I don't believe they take reservations the day of. Ambiance is friendly and warm and service has always been really good! The food is the big highlight though. The food here is just plain amazing. The main course of chicken to all of the side dishes they have. The spoon bread to the sweet potatoes to the mac and cheese, it's all good. It is definitely one of the big reasons we go there. Looking forward to coming back again soon! Bring a big appetite.

I ordered immediately as I was late at 9 PM for dinner. I got the three piece dark with sides of Mac and cheese which came with biscuit, and green beans. Everything tasty enough, and the fried chicken was juicy and honestly fine without the honey. The spicy honey which was in a glass ramekin, was pretty good. As oft said, "I put that sh*t on everything -- so I tried it with the Mac and cheese and it was noticeably better. All in all, pretty good experience here and will rate it 3.5/5 overall.

Here is a review reflecting that wonderful experience: A Wonderful First Impression at Cooper's Hawk Our first visit to Cooper's Hawk was such a pleasant surprise. While I initially worried it might be overpriced, the quality and portions quickly changed my mind. The nice ambiance created a warm, inviting atmosphere that made the whole meal feel special. The Standout Starters * Pretzel Bread: We started with the pretzel bread, which was incredibly fluffy and soft--truly the perfect way to begin the meal. * Chicken Wrap: I ordered the chicken wrap as an appetizer, but I was shocked by how big it was; it could have been a whole meal on its own! The chicken was seasoned beautifully, the sauce was a great addition, and the salad was fresh and crunchy. * Mahi Mahi: Even though I was already getting full, I couldn't resist the Mahi Mahi. It had a perfect crust. * The Martini: It paired wonderfully with my martini, which was as pretty as it was refreshing. A Sweet Ending * Caramel Crème Brûlée: I couldn't help myself and had to order dessert. The Caramel Crème Brûlée is an absolute must--the caramelized top and rich cream were the perfect final notes. Service Note The only small hiccup in an otherwise perfect night was that our waiter forgot my child's drink a few times, even after three reminders. However, the food and the atmosphere were so good that we are already looking forward to our next visit!

The space is open, bright and well decorated making it very inviting for brunch. You order at the counter from the menus placed along the wall then food is delivered to your table. The various brunch items all sounded very inviting so I was having trouble deciding what to order. So I got a recommendation to try the Shakshuka. Not sure how to pronounce it but when it arrived it was just the right portion and quite tasty for brunch. It's a bowl with a red pepper sauce and feta cheese and kale along with eggs sunny side up. The dish is served with pita so you can do a little bit of dipping in the tasty sauce. To accompany our food we selected the mimosa service and bloody mary pitcher. A pitcher is just perfect for sharing. And the mimosa service was delightful. The server arrived with a bottle of Prosecco and small carafes of orange, grapefruit and blood orange juices to mix yourself. The food was fresh and tasty with prompt delivery of our food to our table. Not quite a full service restaurant since you have to order at the counter but still a nice experience located downtown.
