My husband and I just visited here for the first time three weeks ago and have already returned twice. It is the best value for a sit down restaurant we have found in the area recently. The service is really good. Seated promptly, waters come out promptly, minor order modifications handled easily. We have really enjoyed the variety of food. My husband loves the salads and the bowls and pizzas are also good. Probably the favorite entree we have had is the fish and chips. We find the drinks particularly reasonably priced and the cocktails are good. We really like the blueberry one. The space is sunny and open. I'm not necessarily a brunch person and I in know this place is pretty popular for that but they actually have their dinner items available which was nice. I ordered the miso salmon and it was really good - everything was seasoned so well that I enjoyed the cauliflower (which I usually hate). Really nice flavor, salmon cooked perfectly. Went to kitchen social a couple weeks ago for lunch. Business was booming which was good to see. We sat at the bar. Service was kind of strange. Food came pretty fast but the mixed up our order. They brought the ceasar salad out instead of the salad we actually ordered. When we told them, they brought out the correct salad. But then they charged us for both salads. Carrot hummus was bomb. Made a reservation late afternoon for the same day. Definitely recommend a reservation, particularly on a weekend. The place was very busy and even with the reservation we had a wait. We have been trying to go to Kitchen Social for a while. Not knowing the hours, we've always shown up too early in the week for lunch. They are only open after 3:00 on Mondays - Wednesdays. We were meeting a friend for lunch. Due to rescheduling a couple times, we ended up meeting on a Thursday. We took the opportunity to check out Kitchen Social. On Thursdays (and Fridays/Saturdays) they open at 11:00. We all arrived separately, but nearly together a bit before 11:00. Even though it was chilly, we decided to wait outside until the doors opened. Someone came to the door and welcomed us in early, which was very much appreciated. Our server was fantastic. We asked for recommendations and we followed them to a tee! Her help was appreciated because the menu has a lot of options. Two of us ordered the MEDITERRANEAN SALMON - Sixty South salmon, shaved vegetables, dukkah, feta, herb tahini, traditional hummus, lemon vinaigrette. It was delicious and it was a lot of food. The hummus was an interesting addition to the meal. It was great. Mark had the BLACKENED CHICKEN Sandwich - Avocado puree, chipotle crema, heirloom tomato, multi-grain toast with a side salad. He very much enjoyed his sandwich. We were a bit full, but opted to share a dessert. The Banana Caramel Cake w/ cinnamon cream and cinnamon crunch was fantastic and perfect to share. I'll admit I could eat the whole dessert, but I'm glad we shared. I'm so happy we finally made it to Kitchen Social. Oh.. we were the first customers at 11:00. By the time we left every table was full. We didn't expect to need reservations given we were there when the doors opened, but I recommend making reservations nonetheless. We went to dinner later at night so we were able to get seated right away but the place still was packed. Our waitress was nice and we got our drinks and food very quickly. The sangria I got was super sweet but overall good. My husband got a Buffalo Trace old fashioned and enjoyed it. I also tried the blackberry cooler and it just tasted like vodka so I would not recommend that. Now onto the food. We started with the cheddar and scallions biscuits and the butter made these biscuits but they were also super moist and delicious. For dinner I got the fish and chips and the breading and the fish were fabulous. I enjoyed my meal throughly but my mom didn't really care for her Shrimp tempura bowl, the rice was cold that came with it but she did like the corn. We met for an early dinner at 5pm so got seated right away but it wasn't long after people were waiting. We had to start with the biscuits we had heard so much about and they didn't disappoint! Since we were a table of 4, we also got the whipped ricotta app, which was very good as well but if only ordering one, definitely stick with the biscuits! We got four entrees and everyone really enjoyed what they ordered. My Thai Chicken Bowl was pretty darn spicy, so if you don't like spice maybe order something else. Our server did a great job. First the good, the ambiance of this place is great. Nice well lit safe feeling area, consolidated parking garages mean you are reasonably close to any of the restaurants in this area without having to walk too far The middle ground was the food. It was good but not great for the prices. It is in an upscale area so prices being a bit proud is to be expected. If we stopped here I would have left a 4 or possibly 5 star review. The big problem was the service.... Our server was arrogant and just plain bad at his job. Add to this when I finally gave up on him and went to the bar for a refill of iced tea the person at the bar wasn't much better. They answered the phone promptly and assisted with making our reservation and sent a confirmation text. The restaurant itself was very light and airy a mix of upscale casual. There is also an open kitchen concept and you can see food preparation from most seating areas. We started off with the biscuits, which were heavenly, we should've gotten two orders.
