This is a tiny establishment that has been around more than 20 years. It's family owned and they have a huge variety. It's a town favorite with plenty of parking. My turkey Ruben will never be the same without the apple dipping sauce that is so good. The girls are great servers and so kind! It's a super casual family place.

Loved the apps! Coleslaw, onion rings were hot and crispy, and very creamy mac and cheese.

Appetizers were great and so is the service. We ordered several appetizers before our lunch. The Mac and Cheese was very thick and creamy. The onion rings were crispy, hot, and delicious! The show stealer was the coleslaw though. I am usually not a fan of restaurant coleslaw because it usually is just cabbage in watery mayo. (You know what I'm talking about!) Not this stuff. Actually has flavor! We also ordered a reuben sandwich to split. We got both sauces but personally I thought it tasted better with mustard. Some brown or spicy mustard would have been better. You'll need some kind of sauce for the sandwich though. The bread was nicely toasted. We ended with a piece of the Italian Lemon Cream Cake. I love lemon so I was looking forward to this, but I couldn't taste any lemon. It's a fine cake otherwise. Reminds me of a lighter pound cake.

Food and service are always great here! But, tonight's dessert was awesome. Look how beautiful the presentation of the whipped cream is by our server, Averi! So cool!

Place was not crowded. Service was slow. Was told there was a rush. No rush was visible. Burgers, beers, mozzarella sticks, and kids meals were not worth the price. $98 for three adults and 2 kids before tip. Ordered the black and blue special that included bacon and grilled onions on the burger and chips. Burger came out without the grilled onions. It was the classic that took a while to get corrected because the waitress didn't come back. We usually enjoy The Main Street Cafe however tonight was a strikeout.

double Swiss burger with bacon and the works!!

very tasty burgers! Nice size portions and fresh tasting food all around. Good value for quality and size of portions also. Friendly neighborhood place.... small, casual atmosphere with a nice little bar. Just happened to pass by when we were hungry, looking for a place to eat, and very pleasantly surprised! The service was great and quick. We will definitely return.

My Mr has been here three times and raves about Main Street Cafe. I've been here 10 years ago and forget what I got but remembered that I had no complaints. Time to revisit. Went for lunch and they definitely follow the 6 foot rule and social distancing with the seating. Especially at the bar where we ended up sitting. They had very limited seating and didn't want to sit at a small table. Also, they sanitize the counters, tables and all employees are wearing masks. Our bartender was super friendly and very attentive. I started off with a glass of Noble Vines Cabernet Sauvignon and my Mr got a pint of Blue Moon. For lunch I ordered the Boursin Cheeseburger ($8.00) loaded with lettuce, pickles, Mayo and onion. It comes with chips, but subbed it for shoestring fries ($2.75). My Mr ordered a Rueben sandwich (you can choose between thousand island dressing or their house dressing) packed with corned beef, Swiss cheese, and sauerkraut on Toasted Rye Bread $7.75. Chips also comes with his meal. We got our meals less than 15 minutes. Wow! My burger was juicy and cooked to perfection. The Boursin cheese was amazing. I was going to give a portion of my burger to my Mr but I ended up leaving him two bites. It was that good. The fries was hot and not greasy. I tried my Mr's sandwich and the house dressing went well with the sandwich. A hint of sweetness that complimented well with rueben. Can't go wrong with sweet/salty. Overall the experience and service was awesome. I am glad we had lunch here. Definitely want to come back and actually get a rueben sandwich for myself.

From the outside it really looks unassuming and maybe even a little sketchy. Its kind of an odd concept since it technically is a gas station convenience store. But hey, we live in Ohio where there are *drive thru beer* joints. Oh what an age we live in. I ventured inside recently while waiting for a food truck order (they often host these here). Upon entering there is the smell of pretzel, which they are apparently also famous for. I'll have to come back and be the judge of that another time when I didn't already order food. I was instantly greeted by the bartender. I chose to browse around for a bit, and he was great at answering any questions I had. One of the ltd release beers I found was also on tap, so he let me try it first! So they have pre packaged cans, bottles, and 40oz. Most of it is in coolers. They also have a ton of beer on tap that can be consumed there, or taken home in growlers (hence the store name). There is a large bar with seating and various indoor tables. For the nicer weather, there are also outdoor tables. Because the store is next to a dog park they even offer Fido's Freezzys dog ice cream. You will have to ask for it because they keep it behind the counter. I'm not sure how this has changed recently but they do fun Trivia nights among other events. Don't sleep on this unique place if you are a lover of the craft brew!

Exceptional flavor, great deal, cooked right -- the kind of wings that make grown adults nod silently while chewing like they just heard the national anthem. You've clearly cracked the code there. Now... the rest feels like a restaurant that needs Ken back in the building doing what he does best: tightening Quality Control like a Marine inspecting bunks. The good stuff first:The ambiance is cozy. The TVs with the Olympics everywhere? Fantastic touch. It felt festive, communal, almost European... if Europeans watched curling while eating fries. Our waitress (who has served me a couple times before) is kind, attentive. Whoever is doing hiring and training deserves a raise...but today many of them seemed checked out. Now for the reality check -- delivered with affection: The dining room seating is uncomfortable. The enclosed patio high-tops are noticeably better. The regular chairs feel like they were designed by a chiropractor trying to drum up future business. The chili had good flavor but arrived just barely warm and missing onions, like it stopped just short of finishing school. The potatoes came missing bacon at first. When it did arrive, the portion was... let's call it "symbolic." About one crumpled strip -- not worth the price, even though the bacon itself was perfectly cooked and the aioli made the dish taste very good. Great ingredients, sloppy execution. Some plates are awkwardly shaped, which turns eating into a geometry problem. Our daughter -- a 23-year-old self-appointed restaurant expert -- liked the pancakes, (wanted the goetta burger but it was 86'd) and the sauce had developed that thick film that says, "I've been sitting here longer than a Senate filibuster." Again, good flavor... just tripped by execution. We also watched a neighboring table wait a long time to cash out -- long enough to turn a good experience into a frustrating exit. Julie said the girls bathroom felt like an outhouse in the Arctic on this snowy morning. Hand dryers are below the belt, so low you could dry your shoes. Take your Doan's Pills if you're over 60 and want to dry your hands. One ironic upside: those wobbly hard dining room seats do ensure fast table turnover. They also strongly discourage lingering for after-dinner drinks -- which I'm guessing was not the business strategy. Bottom line, Ken: This is a good restaurant that should be one of the best neighborhood spots in the city. The bones are strong. The staff is usually strong. The wings are elite. What's missing is your signature tightening of the details.... the last 10% that turns "good" into "people won't shut up about it." Because right now, this place feels like a Ferrari that just needs a tune-up. And everyone knows you're one of the best mechanics in town.

I don't have too much to say about the drinks as I just had water, but the food was tasty and exactly what we needed on a cold afternoon. To start out, we ordered the famous beer cheese, and crab cakes for the table. The famous beer cheese was similar to a fondue but it was prepared well and had me wishing I had more. Very tasty and perfect for sharing. The crab cakes were equally tasty and tasted fresh with a nice consistency. As a table, we ordered the mariemont salad, the Cuban, the famous burger and a bowl of chili. I don't have too much to say about the burger. It was tasty but nothing out of the ordinary. The salad was unique and was shared by 2 people at our table. The Cuban was filled well and good value. Its always nice to see a restaurant not skimp out and deliver a nice product. In my opinion, the star of the show was the chili. This was a hardy, filling and extremely tasty chili! And of course, it was exactly what I needed on a cold, cloudy day. I ended up ordering a second bowl, it was that good! I would reccomend this place for a casual meetup with friends or family. Plenty of cozy seating inside, fast and friendly service and great food!

The partnership is celebrated with a barbecue. The food itself, for this event, must be made by the Fifty West Brewing Company restaurant/ chef. It is on par with the food I have eaten there. The food was plentiful, and we ate way too much. Many of the side dishes were on the spicy side. Macaroni and cheese was creamy. The Slopy Nancy was a surprise. It was one of the vegetarian options. A mix of quinoa, chickpeas, carrots, and other vegetables, it was filling, a little spicy, a little sweet, and went well with the brisket. I wish I knew the recipe. It would be great as a Thanksgiving side dish. The brisket was tender. The desserts ( brownies and bread pudding,) were decadent. All items were made with quality ingredients. Based on what we ate, I would look forward to going to this event again. Maybe I should have started with the beer, as this was brew and Que. A wide variety of brews were available. Some where on the traditional side. Others used less common ingredients like sweet potatoes, and Buddha's Hand. It was an interesting mix. I really enjoy seeing creative beers at events like this. The sweet potato went great with the barbecue. It became very bitter when consumed with the desserts. The people who work the event were awesome. They all remained upbeat and positive the entire event. They interacted with the attendees when they could. Towards the end of the event, they were definitely able to do this more. They seemed to be enjoying the event as well. Production Works is a great space for such an event. While it was crowded, it did not feel overly so. In terms of crowdedness, it felt like going to any Brewery on a Saturday night. I think they capped the event at a good number. There was enough room for people to move around, and enjoy themselves. People were welcome to walk around the grounds. A couple of fire pits were set up outside. Later in the evening, they were particularly enjoyable. There's something about sitting outside with a wood-burning fire.
