This time we went to their Mt. Lookout location & they did not disappoint! I didn't even know there was a second location! Cheers to that. This location is much smaller and in a more congested area (less parking). I came early and during the week so there was no wait at all at first. However once the lunch crowd started showing up, the only server did seem a bit overwhelmed and got behind. My food was good but the seasonal salad had WAY TOO MUCH BITE from over use of vinigar and pickling... this was likely a one off event but if not, the inclusions and dressing could use a little less bite. read more

11/24/25 My husband and I stopped in here after I had a procedure and we were both craving something wholesome and satisfying. After checking out reviews on Yelp and Google and having a local recommend it, we knew we had to try it. And wow, it did not disappoint. I ordered the Philly omelette and my husband got the Frogs Eyes, plus a side of stuffed pancakes we absolutely did not need but definitely wanted. Everything was incredibly delicious and so filling. The flavors were spot on and the portions were perfect for exactly the kind of comfort meal we were searching for. Our waitress , Raegan, made the experience even better. She was attentive, friendly, and on top of everything. Service was quick, the vibe was retro and unique, and the food hit every mark. A solid 10 out of 10. HangOverEasy is a small, local Ohio chain of brunch diners, founded in Columbus and currently operating in a half-dozen locations. They feature a full bar and a menu full of hearty breakfast and lunch items. Their latest location happens to be down the road from my house, so my family and I stopped in recently for breakfast. I started with the "Fire in the Hole" bloody with vodka, Bloody Mary mix, a Flamin' Hot Cheeto rim, banana peppers, and celery. This was pretty spicy, so definitely order one if that is how you like it. They also offer several other Bloody Marys, along with several mimosa options. My wife couldn't pick between the mimosas and was happy to find a flight option, which allowed her to sample three of them. For breakfast, I really enjoyed the chicken & waffles. The chicken is battered with buttermilk and hot sauce and is served with spicy maple glaze on top of a full buttermilk waffle. I would absolutely order this again. The serving size was huge, which was also to be said for the other dishes that my family had, like the omelets, frog eyes (fresh-baked biscuits smothered with local sausage gravy), and a huge double stack of buttermilk pancakes. We were visiting a friend who lives in the neighborhood. She brought us here on our last morning in town. The food was great and I only wish we had a chance to try more of the menu. Everything we ordered was truly delicious. The servings were plentiful. The flavors were fantastic. We are dreaming of our next trip to Cincinnati and this place will be on our list of stops. I got the corned beef hash with eggs. The hash was some of the best I have had ever. So Meaty!! My friends each ordered one of the specials. It was a breakfast sandwich made with pancakes, eggs and bacon and was SO massive that they probably should have split one. We did have a short wait for a table, and our server was efficient, but a little gruff, but it was a Saturday morning at the new breakfast joint in this area. This place is a great new restaurant for the area. It has a full bar and great seating inside and an adorable outside covered patio! We went around 1030 and it wasn't too crowded but I think a lot of people don't know it's open. By 1130 it was hopping with a waiter and every table taken. Make sure to ask for Chris to be your server. He's great and comes with a lot of fun energy'. I got eg Angry Egg with a side of Avocado smash. I had been looking to try this for sometime. I was disappointed. The shop when you walk is nice. It has a cozy feeling, with great service and friendly people. I just was not a fan of the food. My pancakes were undercooked, and there was still uncooked batter as I cut into them. The pancakes were overly sweet and I struggled to make it through. This experience was so disappointing/strange that I felt compelled to leave a review We were surrounded by five dirty tables for our entire meal, despite the restaurant being nearly empty with only one other table occupied. Our server was not personable or attentive. The bartender brought my coffee, the cook brought out our food, and our server spent most of the time standing around. It was literally dead inside. She never checked on us to see how our meal was, never asked if we needed anything, and simply dropped the check on the table. As people who have worked in the service industry for many years, we found the level of service honestly shocking. This is the first time in my life I've tipped less than 20%, and I didn't make that decision lightly. If anyone deserves recognition at this establishment, it's the cooks!!! they were the only ones who seemed to be doing the work! read more

I rarely leave reviews, but this was easily the worst dining experience I have ever had. We were seated for over an hour before any food came out. Everyone at our table received their meals at different times, and we were finished eating before one friend even received hers. When her food finally arrived, it was brought out in a to-go box even though she had not eaten yet, which felt like a suggestion to take it and leave. We had to change our orders three separate times because our server kept coming back to tell us items were unavailable. They were out of pancake batter, French toast, biscuits, ranch, chicken for chicken and waffles, chorizo, and Brussels sprouts. I originally ordered my meal without toast so I could substitute a pancake. When they were out of pancakes, I switched to a biscuit with jam. About 20 minutes before our food arrived, I was told they were also out of biscuits. I assumed the original toast would come with my meal since it was included, but it never did. While we and all the other tables did receive a 15% discount, and multiple apologies, there was never an explanation for why so much food was unavailable or why everything was taking so long. The situation was so bad that the table next to us actually gave us a side of their hash browns because we had been waiting for so long without food. Other tables around us were experiencing the same issue. One table had been there since noon and did not receive their food until 3:00 PM. Another had been there since 11:00 AM and didn't eat until 2:30 PM. We put our names in at 1:55 PM with only three people in our party, and our last person didn't receive her food until 3:45 PM. At that point, she only received a side of goetta and hash browns after being told they were out of biscuits and gravy. Our server was not the problem at all. This was clearly a serious management issue. While it was a holiday, the restaurant should have been prepared for the crowd. If they do not accept reservations and know they are busy, customers should be informed before being seated that half the menu is unavailable and that food will take over an hour. We should have been given the chance to decide whether we wanted to stay. Unfortunately, I would not return based on this experience read more

Parking is out of the question. Service was friendly and prompt. The food however was somewhat disappointing. I ordered the cheese omelet. The cheese was not even melted inside the omelet. The toast needed more butter and for the price, I think they should have included potatoes. I was still hungry after breakfast. For the money, go to First Watch. You can park with ease, and you will be stuffed when you leave. read more

I want to start with we've tried this location at least 3xs since they opened. The food is really good and what brings me back, but the service has considerably lacked every single time. There's food waiting to be picked up while staff are filling sugar containers, washing windows, I had to ask 3 times for cream for my coffee that I ended up getting from the bar, as well as water refills. When we asked for another milk for my son the server was curt and short saying she shouldn't give us a refill (we would have happily paid for it but printing a new ticket was too much I guess? The receipt was given before the meal was half over). We felt like a major inconvenience to her. Be prepared for this location to be very small. On the weekends they try to shove 3 people in at the 2 person tables. I loved HOE when I was at Ohio State and we have gone to the Clifton location quite a few times. I keep hoping this locations service will get better and today was a major turn off. read more

As with all good things one is always reluctant when assigning five stars to an eating establishment - I hate the idea that every time I show up in the future it's going to be hard to find a seat. In this case it's no different. Interesting menu choices, great friendly service and delicious food. It fulfills its main purpose of breakfast and brunch amazingly well and as far as I'm concerned that means a lot given that I'll eat breakfast at any hour of the day. Any day. Aspires to serve a more upscale version of diner food. On some levels, it succeeds. The food is well prepared and the portions are good. Unfortunately, the kitchen has a very heavy hand with salt. The biscuit is worth skipping as it is more like a soft, very salty muffin than a real biscuit. And the service is less than warm and welcoming. Tip for male server: saying "everything's is great, right?" is not an approach that welcomes feedback. And delivering the check while everyone is in the middle of their meal says I'm tired of serving you even if you said "take your time." read more
