During these cold days, my boyfriend and I have been visiting a TON of coffee shops. We came to Birdie's and it was super lively! There were lots of people studying, catching up, reading, and enjoying their drink. I think the place is decorated beautifully, especially with all the hanging plants. The drinks were yummy and the seating was pretty comfy. The only thing is, this is NOT a quiet coffee shop. Especially on busy days. I enjoyed the chatter but I would not come here to do work. I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but the smell alone makes you want to order one. I opted for a jasmine green tea with honey and lavender syrup, and it was light, floral, and really smooth. I also tried the coffee cake, which was a solid choice and paired nicely with my tea. The staff was friendly and efficient despite the rush, which I always appreciate. Cute coffee spot with tons of drink options, including seasonal specials. I got a dirty chai latte and it was delicious. I met a friend here during the week, and we happened to get lucky that someone was leaving just as we walked in, seating was hard to come by. A lot of people were working from the shop, so most of the tables were taken and the space is pretty tight. Quick heads up: definitely don't bring a stroller if you're coming with little ones; there's not much room to maneuver. Birdie's is a cute spot in Norwood. I've used it a few times to meet with members of my organization and it's got everything you'd want in a coffeehouse. Free secure wi-fi - with the login details on wall signs - I hate having to ask; I feel like such a mooch. A variety of tables with comfy seating and a mix of high and low-top table. And the most clutch - there are outlets everywhere. I like a spot that clearly implies that you can hang out as long as you'd like. I went to another Norwood coffeehouse that gave you a slip of paper with a set number of hours of wi-fi based on how much you spent and it was a turn-off. My latte was delicious and included art in the foam as is the norm these days. I haven't tried the eats yet but they looked tempting. Glad we found our way to Birdies! Excellent friendly and efficient staff, delicious pastries. Pretty quick service. Had an iced vanilla latte, hot cocoa, almond cookie and pistachio croissant, taken to-go. Big space for sitting inside with cute decor and a neat little kids corner too. Saw many customers reading or working in their laptops, plus sitting at several tables outside. It's a little coffee oasis in a neighborhood with a very small parking lot. Very friendly staff and good WiFi. Plenty of seating options but it was crowded. Love the design an there's a small kids play area. I had the dirty birdie drink and enjoyed it. Yet another Birdies review! I can't say enough about this place and yet again it was a great experience. It is always so convenient for me being only a few blocks away. This time I went a little out of the box and got a matcha latte, which is not something I get often. It was really good, a very pretty green color. It wasn't chalky like they can sometimes be, and was very refreshing and tasty, not too grassy as they can also be haha! The service is always very nice and fast, they are super with the speed no matter how busy it is. I will probably go here next week being me, and maybe I will try something new again! read more

I love this quaint and cozy local coffee shop! I had never been here before, but always drove past it and wondered what it was like inside. I loved the decor and the vibes of the place. The staff were super friendly even while they were so busy making coffee and preparing pastries and bagels. They were very welcoming, and I appreciate that from them! I will say that this place does get very busy. In fact, there were lots of people waiting for seats. However, on a warmer day, they do have outdoor seating on the patio, so that would probably help with some congestion. The place is on the darker side, but I like that. There is a parking lot behind the shop, but it also fills up as there are only 8-10 parking spots, but there is PLENTY of street parking around. I recommend giving this place a visit, even if it's just stopping in and getting coffee and a bagel to go! I'm looking forward to visiting again when the weather is warm! read more

I visited Birdie's Coffee during a visit to Cincinnati. I searched for a place within walking distance of my air bnb. The walk thru the neighborhood was lovely due to the lush foliage and variety of architectural style in the homes. Upon entering, I felt like the outdoors came in with me. Such a beautiful environment with comfortable furniture that invites you to sit a spell. The staff gave a friendly greeting and offered plenty of time for me to make my selection. Was looking for a place to sit and work and sip some coffee. Glad I found this place in this quiet neighborhood. Limited parking but great spot if you live nearby. Good service, barista is quick. Birdies is a fun coffee shop with a good atmosphere. However, I was very dissapointed by my drink and service today. I ordered a strawberry vanilla cold brew. When I recieved it it tasted like strawberry and water in a cup of ice. I was not upset intially and just asked for a cup of plain cold brew to add to the drink and explained the situation. The person I asked got me the cup of cold brew, however, the worker next to her said "if you order strawberry vanilla it's not going to taste like coffee". This really bothered me as I ordered a cold brew which in my opinion should always taste like coffee, but regardless shouldn't taste like water. Her tone was just unacceptable. Love the space, though it was pretty crowded we did luck out and find a table and three chairs. Drip coffee was self-serve, and pretty good - I enjoyed two cups. Pastries were not bad. It was very loud and chaotic when we arrived, but as we enjoyed our coffees and pastries a lot of the crowd left and it was much quieter and pleasant. First-time visit, came for the Cincy Coffee Battle. Arrived early in the morning, there was quite a long wait to order and wait for the food. The ambience was very cute and surprisingly spacious. This place is so cute! The furniture and decor is elevated and stylish. Folks were focused working on laptops in the space and I could definitely see myself coming back here to work. The drinks came out fast and were delicious- I ordered a London Fog which was good- the sweetness level was lovely. My mom got one of the drink specials- a white chocolate horchata drink- but she said she didn't get much horchata flavor besides cinnamon, but she still liked it. The coffee is delicious, the flavors that they have offer a wide range of taste and their food is yummy. All of the workers have been nothing but kind, welcoming, and friendly. And makes me happy for the workers. However, it's no longer the cute cozy coffee shop hidden in Norwood that it once was. It's busy. It gets loud. And it gets crowded. The smell of coffee welcomed me in to this charming corner coffee shop as I walked through the doors. The barista was friendly and informative on all of the options for food and drinks that they had from local vendors. I chose to get the Candy Cane Forest coffee drink from the holiday menu to try something different. I liked that it was well balanced with the white mocha and peppermint, but not too sweet even though there was whip cream and little candy and sprinkles on top. I love how this is an inviting coffee shop where you can grab a cup of coffee to go or sit and work on your laptop for hours. Such a bad experience that I had to write this review while sitting in here. Visiting the area from Chicago and saw a cute little coffee shop not too far from my hotel and decided to try it. I noticed on their menu they had chocolate chip scones so that was a plus for me to run over and try. I Uber over and it's a cute little location I walk in and stand in line. I get to the front of the line and the young girl didn't greet me. So I paused to see if she would say hello but didn't. I ended up speaking and told her I wanted a vanilla latte, I asked about the chocolate chip scones and she said they didn't have any but did recommend a chocolate chip muffin (gave add'l star for recommending something else). I ordered just the coffee and waited for my order to be ready. Called my name and once again, no "thank you" no "have a nice day" just passed me my drink. I ended up saying Thank you and NO you're welcome was said back to me. I didn't feel welcome here and the service here is piss poor. Sadly, I'll never come back. This type of customer service will NEVER fly in a big city. Do better BIRDIE Latte was decent but I've had better. read more

Cute new coffee shop alert!! Very, very cozy vibe inside of this new local coffee shop. Came here on a Friday morning and most of the seats were full! Got a cold brew and a pumpkin spice latte. These were both fantastic! So much so that we bought a bag of their coffee beans to take home. We got a Nutella scone which wasn't super great, which is the only reason for 4 stars, though I think they source their pastries from elsewhere.
