Friendly and knowledgeable service. This was my second time in. First trip I had an apricot cardamom latte and I purchased bag that had blueberry jam and hazelnut notes. This is where the obsession began. It probably was the best coffee I've made at home. This time I picked 2 new bags. I'm excited to taste! Cute little shop, seating on porch, 1st and 2nd level inside.

Though I didn't go upstairs and see what the decor and energy was like, I did enjoy sitting at the little table at the bottom and journaling as I people watched. The avocado toast was so much more robust than I expected and very filling. The roasted tomatoes on top added a whole different flavor profile. I'll definitely try some of their other toast offerings when I want something sweet. Service was very fast and made to order. I appreciate how the baristas also answered questions and made recommendations about their roasts and beans.

This was an AWESOME coffee shop. I didn't get the chance to really sit down and talk with anyone, but it seems that they get their beans from Honduras !!! They have a beautiful outside patio you can relax in and it looks like an upstairs for more seating! They offer pastries, but their specialty is the avocado toasts!! I decided to go with their original Avocado toasts, which comes with sun-dried tomatoes, arugula, & topped with oil/spices....and wow was that delicious!! Plus it was a pretty big size so you get a lot!! Now what I really came for... the coffee! I decided to be adventurous and get one of their seasonal coffees! I picked the cherry blossom iced latte and it was yummy! It wasn't too floral or sweet... i really was the perfect latte with flavor where you can still taste the coffee!! I wish I still lived down here because this would be my favorite coffee shop! I will be back though when I come to visit again!

We were visiting family and stayed nearby, and were excited to have this coffee shop within walking distance. It's located in an old house, and the stairs are a bit challenging if you have a stroller or difficultly with that. I ordered one of their specialty lattes and enjoyed it. It wasn't overly sweet. They had some breakfast options as well and I tried the ham and cheese croissant. Most of the seating is upstairs, and there are also some tables outdoors on the porch.

Cute coffee shop in an old house. We stopped on a Saturday morning. Had a cappuccino and an iced matcha latte. Both delicious and paired with a cookie and a chocolate croissant. Service was friendly and quick. The couple of tables in the front porch were taken so we sat inside in the comfy chairs. Street parking. Kind of located a short distance away from other businesses, across from a park.

First off, there fall drinks are some of the best I have come across. So delicious, tasty, and brings all of the fall vibes. Decided to stop by and study for a bit! The vibes in the coffee shop were immaculate. The bathroom was a fun surprise and created a good laugh! The baristas were nice. 1000% will be back.

First time trying Viva! This place has been on my eye for a couple weeks and I'm so glad I went to try it. Service was welcoming and quick! This may just be the coffee shop where we become regulars!! Great vibes all around and amazing drinks. We tried a Hazelnut Cappuccino and their seasonal Iced Lemon Poppy Seed Matcha. Both were things we'd definitely get again! Try Viva if you haven't already

Went on a Saturday morning and there was a long line but absolutely worth it! Their staff was so friendly and positive despite the packed room. We got the seasonal rosemary and ube lattes and they were the perfect amount of sweetness while letting the excellent coffee quality shine through

This is a great coffee shop. The people working are friendly, the atmosphere is amazing and most importantly, the coffee is fabulous. There is plenty of seating upstairs as well.

Wow, I was supposed how good their coffee was. I stopped by during the Flying Pig Marathon and ordered a cold brewed iced coffee. It was absolutely delicious! Nice crew working and cool place to hangout. This maybe a frequent stop for me moving forward.

I heard great things and was super excited to try Viva. It is so cozy and friendly and warm. I had an amaretti latte, one I hadn't seen anywhere else and it was DEELICIOUS. There was even a gluten free lemon blueberry loaf that day! I only missed having nut milk as me and oat milk are not bffs, but sometimes we can work it out. The space upstairs is so uniquely designed and perfect for working and meeting but can get loud if a lot of people are up there at once. Either way, the sun coming in the windows was perfect and the vibe was right. I will definitely be back!

London Fog with house blueberry pie syrup and White Chocolate Mocha

I tried this new-to-me coffee shop as part of the cincy battles month and I'll definitely be back! It is in the cutest strip of shops in O'Bryanville and the inside is clean and well decorated. There is plenty of seating upstairs (with outlets!) and my baby and I both loved the high-contrast playful black and white hand painted mural on the walls upstairs! The whole shop is in a house so the little details like wooden staircase and original fireplace are really quaint. I got a London Fog and asked to try their house blueberry pie syrup, which they indulged me... it was delicious! My mom got the white chocolate mocha and also enjoyed it. She also asked for a customization in making it half sweet and she said it turned out perfect. I really want to try their toasts, which I hear great things about, but it was late in the day so they were sold out! A great sign. I only wish parking was easier, but walking from our spot on the street wasn't bad in such a cute shopping district. We'll be back!

Second floor seating. There's another room beyond this room.

Delicious avocado/sundried tomato toast. Great rose latte. Efficient, friendly service, spotless seating area and restroom and fast WiFi. I was visiting the area and needed a place to get a small breakfast and hang out for an hour. Viva was perfect. There was plenty of open metered street parking right in front. The street is really wide so the drive and parking was totally stress-free for an out-of-towner.

    Latte and beans for home.

Since we were one of the first 1000 attendees that day we received a swag bag that had some coupons and goodies including some stickers and fair trade lip balm. Cool! The coffee selection was diverse and very good. We had never heard of a few of the coffee vendors so it was great trying their coffee and meeting the friendly faces of the owners. There were a few non-coffee business and it was fun tasting their products too. I highly recommend getting a bottle or four of this stuff called beer syrup http://www.thebeersyrupcompany.com/ It will be great on so many things you eat. The latte art throwdown was a cool way for baristas to show off their amazing talent of pouring milk into creative designs. There was a small tv that showed the close up work but most people farther back would not benefit from this. (next year a projector would be great) Like many first festivals in the city, there were some hiccups along the way, but I hope that the producers review the event and correct anything for next year. I could easily see this branching out to include a stronger tea and food/dessert presence. So the negatives: crowded... the Music Hal ballroom is a great place but at most events I've attended here (Crafty Supermarket, Holiday Market), it always seems to clog up in the aisles and people that bring strollers do not help the situation. This event will probably move to the convention center and this will definitely alleviate most of the crowding. Lack of garbage cans. During this event, one samples numerous small cup samples of coffee or tea and then one had to hunt for a can to place the cup. Oh well... So, I hope this event becomes a yearly thing and look forward to attending.

This year's Cincinnati Coffee Festival was hosted at the Duke convention center downtown. Its…read moregrand ballroom turned out to be the perfect sized venue for the festival as it grows year over year. The quality of vendors was top notch. Of course, you will see plenty of light roasts, natural Ethiopians, single origins, etc. But even if you're not obsessed with coffee, there's something for everyone here. A variety of vendors represented related spaces besides coffee as well. For example, tea, chocolate bars, baked goods, drinking chocolate, handmade ceramic goods, etc. A few of my coffee favorites were Tinker Coffee, Yield Coffee Roasters, and Utopian Coffee. But even if Kalita Waves and Chemexes are not your thing, there were blends and darker roasts too. Savorista offered a specialty coffee quality decaf coffee. I haven't seen that before, and it feels like they're onto something. It's kind of analogous to the current bar trend of low-proof / no-proof cocktails. There were interesting options on the coffee alternatives side as well. Saku Tea creates turmeric, matcha, beet, etc mixes that you prepare like matcha with a bowl and whisk. Cup of Coa produces high quality cocoa-based drinks that are hot, cold, or frozen. From "bigger" companies, both Rishi and Natalie's brought new and experimental products. Rishi Tea offered a mushroom "tea" mix. Natalie's Juice sampled cold pressed juice cocktails as good as their orange juice. I also enjoyed the demo section where a couple of baristas from Rohs in Clifton were making and teaching people about (traditional) macchiatos... optionally with glitter on top. The event is well organized, vendors are great, and the ticket price ($15) is very reasonable. I will definitely come back next year.
