Drink of choice: Oat cappuccino with cinnamon powder. 10/10 Pastry of choice: Twice baked chocolate almond croissant and it did not disappoint! 10/10 Love the atmosphere of this place, you have your choice to sit in one of three rooms, along with outdoor seating too. Staff were friendly, and the restaurant was spotless. Knocking off a couple of stars because their caramel latte had a very medicinal taste :( was not great. Maybe some of their other drinks could be good, but this one missed the mark. read more

Just moved to cincy so this is one of the first coffee shops I've tried here. The total was around 19$ and while I wasn't thrilled about the latte being 7.50$ (added oat milk) it was super delicious. Not to sweet, just how I like it read more

I stopped by Urbana to do some work during that unproductive stretch of time between Christmas and New Years. My cappuccino was well done, and my boyfriend enjoyed his blueberry muffin. I'm happy to report that I did in fact get work done and rly enjoyed the atmosphere of the cafe! They had multiple rooms to work in, plus outdoor seating if you visit during the warmer months. PS- if you want free parking, this place isn't far from Hard Rock Casino :) read more

Warm welcoming cafe. Had a great flat white. My friend had a pot over and a ham and cheese croissant. And my other friend had a banana bread and Americano. Very rich frosting in the banana bread. Easily accessible. We are out- of-towners and staying at the Westin down the street. Plenty of room to sit and have a nice little coffee date or come in and get some work done. Staff is pleasant. read more

Extremely friendly service and great vibe inside for remote work. Latte was delicious!

You can tell that the staff at Urbana really cares about coffee and their customers. It comes from the top down as Daniel is one of the kindest humans you could meet. The Pendleton location has a ton of workspace and also an outdoor area for you to sit and enjoy your coffee. Make sure you grab one of those pastries made in house by Moxy. Thank read more

I was considering visiting this Cafe after an appointment I had in the area, however, when I walked in, since it was my first time in this area and I was having trouble finding my way around, I asked one of the girls working for directions and she rolled her eyes and gave me a dirty look. I would love to revisit the Urbana Cafe in the future but I will not be doing so today if asking for directions is an inconvenience. For my 2 minutes in the cafe, I'd say the service and hospitality were absurd. Let's work on attitude and communication to customers? read more

I've been to the other location in Walnut Hills. This one is a little larger, more windows, modern. There was one barista...he was cranking out drinks as fast as he could! The line kept growing! I got an iced vanilla latte. Oat milk obviously. The espresso in it was too light. Sad, but the texture was perfect! It's diagonal across from Boomtown. They've moved a block down. read more

This place is cute! I love that they encourage "In person interaction." They have a sign that mentions that they don't have wifi for the sole purpose for people to have community with one another. I totally thought I had a picture of that, but unfortunately, I took the snapshot in my head : ) I went there actually looking for a particular baker that sells her items at their location. But I had heard great things about their place anyways, so it was a 2 for 2! They had a "snickers" bar (dairy free gluten free) made by Laura Healthy Delights which was mmmmm so good. And then I also had a vanilla latte that was also quite delicious. The location had several cozy sitting areas that continued to extend way to the back. They also have an outdoor patio area as well! One suggestion I would make is to have a list of the ingredients on hand for the staff to refer to when it comes to any of the baked goods. It's helpful for customers who have allergies or food sensitivities. Especially for the baked goods that aren't made in house and are provided by another vendor. Otherwise, I really enjoyed my experience there and will definitely visit again! read more

Adorable coffee shop and delicious bites to eat! We came in to catch up and work on our 2021 goals. We loved the big and spacious table space and the beautifully done cups of coffee. The staff was incredibly friendly and this space is taking COVID precautions very seriously. I saw them frequently wiping tables down and the space was already fresh and clean to begin with. If you're looking for a great local place to grab a cup of coffee I would recommend checking this space out. Looks like there are a few locations too. I'll definitely return! read more

There are just so many good coffee shops in Cincinnati: Coffee Emporium, Iris, 1215, Collective Espresso, Deeper Roots, BLOC, Muse, Carabello, Sidewinder, Rohs: how does Urbana stack up? Urbana is none of these things: Best coffee: 1215 Best building: BLOC Best meeting place: Coffee Emporium Best seating area: Iris (courtyard) Edgiest: Sidewinder Friendliest: Carabello Best people watching: Rohs Best WiFi: Muse Best mission: Deeper Roots / BLOC So why does it get five stars? Urbana encompasses pretty much the best aspects of all of these places without really sacrificing anything. Coffee: excellent. Building: tons of light, brilliant use of space. Architecturally exposed brick... NICE. Group meeting place: workable with tables downstairs. Seating: exceptional upstairs and outdoor courtyard. Edginess: (not for long) Pendleton is "up-and-coming." Friendliness: every time I have been in. People watching: from your birds-eye view on the upstairs balcony. WiFi: buttery. Mission: they deliver coffee on a VESPA: clearly doing the Lord's work, needn't say more. read more

The mocha is better than the London Fog! I was also able to sit outside in their patio which was really nice. I had it to myself other than a squirrel that kept scampering around. They still seem to be more expensive than most places (my Mocha in a mug was over $6) but enjoyable nonetheless. read more

Urbana Cafe began as a mobile blue Vespa Apé at Findlay Market but has since expanded to two brick-and-mortar locations. The owner/founder had converted this truck into a mobile espresso cafe in 2013, showing up at farmers markets and festivals around the city to serve coffee, espresso drinks, pastries, etc. Our visit took us to the Pendleton location, which opened in December 2015. It's located in the heart of the Broadway Square next to Nation Kitchen + Bar. It claims a bit of an Italian flare and offers a cute, rustic modern interior with an urban coffee shop vibe. Seating seemed a bit limited inside. The staff were quite helpful, offering info on the various pastries available and answering my husband's questions about the different varieties of coffee available. They even offered him a sample of one he was curious about, which sealed his decision. I inquired about which pastries were made in house, and I ended up trying the lemon bread. It was moist with poppy seeds and a flavorful, crunchy crust. My husband made a much better decision by ordering the pear tart. This was reminiscent of an authentic French pastry - which is a really good thing considering we were told it was dropped off by a French baker that morning! The crust on this tart was incredible - flaky, buttery - and the overall taste was light and satisfying. Regardless of the pastry quality, we were there for the coffee, and I absolutely loved my caramel latte. It was so smooth with a light sweetness and no bitterness. My husband ended up with the Smooth Nitro, a cold brew coffee with almond milk. He loved it. It was creamy and had good, strong coffee flavor without the usual bitterness Verdict: We loved their coffee. It is so smooth and not bitter. And that pear tart...just as good as something you could pick up on the streets of Paris. read more

This is one of my favorite coffee spots on earth. Five star atmosphere, five star service, five star coffee. I usually get the iced vanilla latte which isn't my regular coffee order but I really enjoy it here. TLDR: pretty spacious, modern cafe with high quality ingredients Urbana cafe has a lot more space than it looks. They've got a few tables on the main floor + a bar upstairs + outdoor seating so between those three options, you should be able to find a spot no problem. I really enjoy this coffee shop. It's small and feels very intimate. The coffee is excellent quality and they make a very good cortado as well as a tasty iced chai. I will come back anytime I'm in the area and in need of a cafeeine boost or sweet treat. read more

If you are looking for a cozy place, where they know your name and serve what I believe is the best coffee in the area, then Urbana is for you. Urbana has 3 different locations: Pendleton, Walnut Hills and Findlay Market. Pendleton is their iconic store. At Findlay Market they have both a vespa with expresso options and an industrial grinder close to the indoor area. They have plenty of options for coffee brewed from different grains mostly sourced from South America. They also have amazing pastries and banana bread made in house available on their Pendleton and Walnut Hills locations. This is the one coffee shop I know in the area where the owners and employees really care for you, they know their customers' names, their story and go above and beyond to make this your favorite coffee shop. read more

Urbana is a nice place to meet up with a friend and grab some coffee. My favorite drink is their iced caramel latte, as featured in the picture I attached. I was feeling adventurous one day so I decided to try a matcha covered croissant. While I was impressed with the unique variety of pastries at Urbana, I was not a fan of the matcha covered croissant. Side note for dog lovers: This place is dog friendly!! They even sell dog cookies which my super picky dog actually ate!! It's also good to note that they have outdoor seating which they share with the restaurant right next door. It's a cool place to sit if the weather is nice. Overall the indoor space is nicely decorated, open and airy. My only complaint is it's a little limited on working space so I would come here more as a place to meet a friend rather than to do school work. read more

I've been hearing great things about Urbana Cafe. Finally checked it out and no complaints here! Particularly, if I was a college student again, I'd spend tons of time here. It's quiet and fresh. The two levels have just enough room for a small crowd. The outside patio is adorable. My fiancé and I stopped in real quick with our toddler. Note to everyone, this is not a child friendly place. We didn't intend on dining in, so it was perfectly fine that the cafe wasn't full of highchairs. At the counter was a very sweet, soft spoken lady who kindly welcomed us first timers. We learned a new lesson that the known Starbucks Macchiato is indeed not a traditional macchiato. What you think is a Mach is actually a latte. I went with the traditional Mach and my fiancé went with a Caramel Latte. Home runs on both. I love the charm of this building, inside and out. The pop tarts look delicious, maybe even my excuse to go again. I also love the stamped to go coffee cups, very nice detail! read more

SO SO CUTE! I can't believe I had never heard of this place until my friend recommended it to me?! Fits right into the OTR atmosphere with open windows and minimalistic vibe. Yelper Kimberly J described Urbana best -- "small and feels very intimate" Might I just add, their logo is an adorable blue truck that they even put on all their cups. Coffee - AMAZING! I ordered the latte, but everything looked yummy. Just the right amount of sweet and made to perfection! I also got the chocolate chip orange scone...they have a wide selection of pastries making this a hard (but delicious) decision. Customer service alone made it 5/5 for me. Our barista was delightful and helped me while I (spent way too long) trying to decide what to order. Overall, loved my experience at Urbana. So quaint and fresh. Will be back! read more

If you're reading this in 2020 and you want to know where you can actually go nowadays, rest easy because Urbana Cafe is open! Make sure you have a mask. And they aren't accepting personal cups. The best drinks here are #1 flat white, and #2 cortado. You also can't go wrong with an americano or iced coffee. (You really can't go wrong with any of the drinks but if you haven't tried the flat white you're doing yourself a disservice). Pre-covid, I loved coming in here to read. There is no wifi which is weirdly part of this cafe's charm. There's also an outdoor patio area, so you're sure to see a lot of cute dogs. If you're in East Walnut Hills, stop by this gem. read more

Finally I got to try Urbana. I have heard of them and finally I noticed I missed a Yelp event here so I knew I had to try them after that. I came in on a Thursday morning with both of my daughters. The atmosphere was chill and laid back. It had typically coffee shop vibe with people chatting and on laptops. I realized after entering this is probably more for adults but my girls did very well (3 yr-old and a 5 mon-old.). Megan who was working this day was super sweet and accommodating. However, my only complaint is they allow dogs in the establishment. I get it but I'm not a dog lover and this was a slight turn off for me. I'm not a big fan of establishments that allow people to bring their dogs in, especially when it's a food establishment. Not everyone is clean, especially when it comes to animals. I came in to try their Orange Chocolate Chip Scones. While I was there I also grabbed a coffee drink and breakfast sandwich. The scones were a little on the dry/crunchy side. I love anything chocolate chip so I was happy with the flavor. The texture was just dry and a little to crumbly. The glaze was also suppose to be orange, however I could not taste any orange flavor. However, The breakfast sandwich was actually good in flavor. It was also the perfect size. It was a mini breakfast sandwich. It was the perfect size for my 3-yr old daughter. It consisted of a homemade cheddar and chive biscuit, white cheddar, pesto, egg, and a sausage patty. It was delicious. The pesto added a different flavor but it was a nice addition. I liked this! I ordered my daughter's without the pesto. The drink I had was their current seasonal drink which is Orange Spiced Flat White. It was interesting, and ultimately I did not like it. It wasn't as bad when I put sugar in it. It's whatever a flat is and a pinch of orange juice added. However, it had a weird tang. I'm assuming it was the OJ. Idk, it wasn't my favorite and I wouldn't order it again. I also ordered a brownie/cookie mix aka brookie to go for my husband. Needless, to say it was not good. It tasted like almond flour was used and it gave it an odd taste. Although, I did hear they try to reduce the amount of sugar they use and do healthier desserts. This was a no for me dog (in my Randy from American Idol voice). However if your someone who explores with different flours, this may be for you. Overall, Urbana had great customer service and a good breakfast sandwich. However, I wasn't completely impressed with the coffee and pastries. read more

My go to coffee shop in Cincinnati. Amazing staff and atmosphere, and the coffee beans are delicious! We don't buy any other beans now. Also, the almond croissant is life changing. Super cute, clean coffee shop. Nice places to sit indoor and outdoor and friendly baristas. The only reason they don't get a 5 star is because they did not have WiFi.
