Oh my gosh, I wanted one of everything! I limited myself to 3 items and went with a blueberry fruit bite, a palmier, and a chocolate supreme croissant. The palmier was my absolute favorite. It was so flaky, crispy, and sweet. My brother tried the peanut crumb bread and the curry croquette. He loved the croquette and thought the peanut bread was just ok. My mom had the twisted donut and enjoyed it as well. There was a long line when we arrived on a Monday around 9 am. But the line moved fast and we had so many pretty pastries to look at to keep us entertained. Being a first-timer, I didn't realize it just gets better as you go along and I missed out on a gorgeous berry tart and a delicious-looking chicken sandwich since my tray was already so full. I was super excited to find that Paris baguette is in downtown Cincinnati as it is one of my favorite Asian chains. Sad to say that we love pretty disappointed there were tons of sweet pastries, but barely any things savory unlike the other locations in other cities. I was also disappointed that did not have real Matcha. Their powder is a pre-sweetened mix. The staff were nice and tried to make a drink that a little bit less sweet by using less powder, but it was still VERY sweet. unfortunately, I had to throw it away. We ended up getting two savory croissants that were just OK, pretty dry. On a positive note Paris baguette has one of my favorite cakes so I highly recommend getting that. read more

I've heard of Paris Baguette before, as it's a chain with a lot of locations, including one in Columbus where I'm from. I've never visited until this one happened to be right next to a hotel I was staying at while in Cincy. I strolled over around 9:30am and was quite surprised at how empty it was. While it's known for being a bakery, it doubles as a coffee shop, so I assumed other people would be there to work like I was planning on doing before heading on the road back home. On the upside, all the pastry cases were fully stocked. I did however have to track someone down for a tray and tongs. For those that don't know, you don't go up to the counter to order pastries. Instead, you use the tongs to grab what you want directly from the case onto your tray. Then once you're ready to check out or order other things like a coffee, you head to checkout. I grabbed a strawberry mochi donut, a chocolate supreme croissant, and a raspberry almond croissant. I also ordered a lavender latte with oatmilk. This all came to about $25. After paying, I grabbed the wifi info and a seat and got to work. I decided to enjoy my mochi donut with my coffee while I was there and I saved the others for a snack while on the road. My coffee was great and the donut was flavorful and just the right texture. The wifi was strong and I was very comfortable and able to get fully immersed in my work while I was there. The bright natural light and calm atmosphere was nice. Throughout the rest of the day and the day after I munched on the other items and they were tasty. In a nutshell, beautiful pastries, a little expensive, but all in all a good experience. read more

You grab a tray, you grab some tongs, or maybe you get creative and grab the tongs first, then the tray. It's really choose your own adventure at this point. Then you go wild picking treats like you're a contestant in a pastry game show. I was so overwhelmed, I had to stage an intervention for myself. Only two! I picked the Salted Caramel Pretzel croissant crisp. Listen, the bottom of this thing was so light and flaky, I swear it floated into my mouth. The flavor? Perfectly sweet, perfectly salty, and absolutely deserving of a recurring role in my life. The second pastry? No idea what it was called, but it was basically a party in my mouth, crisp edges, apple filling, and a center so good I almost burst into song. Still mad I didn't grab a second one. Honestly, I needed someone to witness how good it was or maybe just to remind me to buy another. The grand finale: a salted caramel matcha. Today I tried the Butter Pecan KING cream & was definitely FULL of butter pecan cream & it was delicious! Also had the Blueberry fruit bite. I thought the fruit bite was cream filled, but it was not. It only had a little bit of cream on the top to hold blueberries on, not enough cream for me. I would definitely fill it with cream as there is too much pastry and you need that good pastry/cream/fruit ratio if you're picking up what I'm putting down. You get your own tray and tongs and pick out whatever pastries you want. We got a crab croquette, hash brown bread, pastel de nata, and blueberry and cream pastry. The savory pastries were cold and relatively mushy. The sweet ones were better, but still not a great consistency. The pastel de nata was the best of all of them. The pastry section is unique because you grab a tray and serve yourself out of the cabinets. There's fresh bread, doughnuts, classic French pastries. I chose the giant cinnamon stick doughnut and the raspberry puff pastry. When I got to the counter to pay I ordered a fruit tart (my favorite treat) from the employee who boxed it up individually in a cute box. The employee was pleasant and kind and wrapped up my items so they would make it back home to South Carolina. The cinnamon stick was more like a churro and very fried. Good taste, but not what I expected. The raspberry puff was very nice and light. The tart was FULL of berries which I really appreciate and the overall taste was very good, however the base of the tart was very thick. This place has mostly hits and few misses. I am slightly rounding up. The salmon with avocado on a croissant is delicious as well as most sweets. The coffee is excellent. The savory curry bun with veggie didn't have much curry flavor, but I did like the flakiness of the outside. On three contrary, the coffee croissant was a bit overwhelming with flavor. Also with the crab n slaw on croissant, you can't much taste any crab, but it wasn't bad. There is a procedure for ordering, which I didn't know. The hashbrown pastry - this probably would taste better warmed up, but I don't know since I was always in a rush. Generally, the service was pretty swift and the place was clean as well! I definitely would like to update my previous review. Even though things seemed a little bit out of shape earlier this year, they seem to have come around. I've been here at least once a week for the last few weeks and it has very much improved! It's clean, the staff are friendly, things seemed organized, and even though it can be a little bit slow at times, things are moving along. I understand though as sometimes it can get very busy and it's really hard to move people through when there are drinks being made, sandwiches being heated, items being boxed up, I understand it's a lot. Definitely a big improvement over earlier this year! Staff is friendly and my fiance and I are kind of just enjoying coming in every week. We are just so enjoying all the pastries they have. We really do have to limit ourselves. We've also been enjoying their coffee drinks as of late. The salted caramel cold brew with sweet foam is amazing but a little bit pricey. In January bought a croissant donut for $4.09 ( what the sign said and took a picture of ). Rang up as $5.09. The cashier could not adjust, and the "assistant manager" yelled at me that he wasn't " allowed" to make any adjustments. We came here every day of our stay in downtown Cinci. It was right across the street from our hotel, and it was so convenient and tasty. The only bad choice here was the chocolate chip cookie, which was too sweet and artificial tasting. But everything else was great! My parking garage was full and I had to park somewhere else... the walk took me past Paris Baguette, a place I didn't previously know about. Located at the corner of 4th and Race, this is very walkable from anywhere near Fountain Square. A relatively new build, the interior carries off the charm of a Parisian bakery. Plenty of table/bar seating and most of the food is on display. I picked up an egg salad sandwich, chips and a iced black tea for lunch. The sandwich came with fresh cucumber slices which was unique and tasty. I really enjoyed my quick lunch and could easily see this as a regular hangout for breakfast/lunch or coffee dates. A friend and I dropped in on a weekday evening a couple days back. Upon arriving, I was lost. But, as my friend had been a couple times, he helped me understand the concept. What a fun surprise when we walked in and found a stack of trays and tongs waiting for us to help ourselves to whatever struck our fancy from the great selection of savory and sweet pastries awaiting behind the glass display cases. It was also spot on and I'd recommend you get it wat The Tiramisu tart was ok but I wouldn't probably get it again. I'd go for the regular tiramisu I saw in the display as we went to pay next time. My husband said his strawberry croissant was good. He ate it all. Along with a bacon, egg and cheese brioche sandwich.
