We went to Lola's Coffee + Bar yesterday morning around 10:30ish. They had some food and different drink options. There were a few people in line ahead of us but the wait wasn't too long. They didn't take our names, though, so you had to remember what you ordered and hope you didn't steal someone else's drink lol The ambiance and service were good. I wasn't able to see if there was a restroom but there might have been one further back in the shop. There was indoor and outdoor seating. They had a syrup list and a list of specialty drinks. There were multiple drinks that I thought sounded good. I opted for an iced French Toast latte with white mocha, maple syrup, french vanilla, and cinnamon. It tasted like leftover Cinnamon Toast Crunch milk with a hint of coffee. The coffee wasn't strong, and the flavor was definitely there, yet it wasn't as strong as it could have been either? It was good but not great. You can add more flavor pumps though, so I would do that the next time I went. read more

This is a quaint little coffee shop. It turns out the coffee is a bit too foo-foo for me. I did not like it. The plain bagel was good, but expensive. There is a small pay for parking lot next door. Their pay for order credit card machine asks for a tip. I do not put tips on my expenses. The staff sees no credit tip, gets upset, then makes the order. I always do a cash tip - I guess I'm stupid. Requiring me to pay an additional tip for substandard performance is an insult. I do, but $3.50 for a bagel and $8.00 for a cup of coffee with steamed milk should be enough. Of course I gave another$1.00 tip. The staff appears to not be very knowledgeable of the area. - I asked how to get to the bridge to Covington, which is a few blocks from the shop, and apparently has a secret entrance that you need to say the secret word , and since I don't know the name of the bridge (the secret word) - she couldn't help. read more

On a weekend this might be pandemonium. But on a weekday (when I went) - the garage door was open to the street, and the coffee line was short so i moseyed on in. It's a warm confusing place - is it a bar trying to be a coffee spot on vice-versa. No matter, the barista was friendly. This coffee shop was a short walk from our hotel so I ventured out for an early latte. On a Tuesday morning around 9, there was one person working and quite a line. Stopped in to start my day with a cuppa Jo before venturing out in town. Ordered a scone and a cafe mocha. Saw pastries advertised and asked what they recommend, they said everything. So I went with the scone. It was warmed up and bagged for my to-go order. As I waited at the pick-up area for my mocha, I realized they serve beer in here also! Pretty neat place had cozy seating areas within. Very farmhouse feel. Located close to the baseball stadium and the hotel we were staying. Scone was bland and mocha seemed watered down. But I am from out of town and perhaps comparing to what I am used to may be unfair as to compare with other coffee spots within the local area. Wow, Lola's is AMAZING!! We tried several coffee spots in Cincy and this one was the best by far. We got iced coffee, iced matchas, gluten free banana bread, and a breakfast bagel. All of it was fabulous. The barista was friendly, and the decor in this cute little place was so cozy and fun! We ended up getting stickers and a t-shirt too because we just loved this spot so much. The building is brick with a garage door entrance and there is indoor as well as outdoor seating. Another thing that stood out to me was that the other customers were friendly too! Cool little coffee shop within walking distance of the AC Marriott. Not a huge place to sit inside but a few tables and comfy chairs. I ordered a hot coffee with coconut milk, hazelnut and Carmel. It was the perfect temperature - not a burn-your-insides temperature coffee and tasted great! They also had beer, pastries and it looked like some food, but I didn't look too closely as we ordered to go in the morning and continued on our walk downtown. Service was quick and friendly. I rated 4-stars just because I enjoy coffee shops that you can lounge in, but there's not a huge space for that here. read more

My boyfriend and I had the plan to grab some coffee to begin our day yesterday. Rather than stop into Starbucks which we get all the time, we wanted to try somewhere local, being from out of town. The ambiance is hipster and trendy. It's super cute inside. The line was long and moved a bit slowly, but we had time. When we got to the counter, we were greeted by two workers. They seemed to have their hands full but they were friendly and moving at a fast pace. I ended up ordering the seasonal Desert Rose (cayenne, rose, dark chocolate) as a hot latte with oat milk. I absolutely loved it! That kick of spice went perfectly with the dark chocolate and rose flavors. I also got an Almond Nutella Croissant, which was flaky and yummy! Surprisingly, it wasn't super sweet. I think it had some cream cheese mixed with the Nutella inside to cut the sweetness of the Nutella down. I really liked this coffee shop (plus bar!) in downtown Cincy! It has a cool, relaxing vibe and has friendly staff to help get what you need. I stopped by one morning before an event I was attending started. Because this was one of the places that was open early on a weekend, I was able to grab a coffee drink and a few pastries to enjoy that morning (and as snack later during the day). I ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese bagel and a blueberry hibiscus iced tea and posted up at a booth to do work. The sandwich was good and the tea was well steeped before icing. The service was quick, too. The place has wifi and power strips at each booth! The only thing to be mindful of is that it's a little dark inside and the lights are dimmed to give it a hipster vibe. I'm happy to see that Lola's made it out of the pandemic! I used to frequent this location when I work downtown, but had not been in almost 2 years. Today I had a chance to stop in and boy do I remember why I miss this place. The service is always great and the menu is ever-changing.
