I love that they bring in new beers all the time - it keeps things interesting. I love stopping in for a flight! Having the food window and free popcorn is definitely a plus. Bartender Cat is friendly but also very efficient and knowledgeable! Thursday nights are trivia and they offer a great prize for tournament winners. Bathrooms are clean and well-stocked. Friendly inner city sports bar with Cozy festive decorations, dim yet exciting lights, and a very friendly staff. It was refreshing to actually get a phone call answered when I dialed in before a Texas football to see if the bar would be televising that program. My girlfriend and I came in on a Saturday night for a few craft brews and a massive espresso martini. Since we had dinner reservations for another local restaurant we didn't get to indulge in as much of their menu as we would have liked. It was pretty sweet that they had such an extensive menu of different craft beers and a handful of other classic cocktails and frozens. I think the staff and other patrons made this place perfect for a late night sip while watching the game. I went to Queen City Exchange last Thursday for Marvel trivia. I didn't know what to expect but I've heard good things about this place, especially because it's a designated spot for my college's alum during basketball season. Trivia was a blast. It was broken up into 6 rounds with a handful of bonus questions tossed in there. We ended up 7th after the first half, but dropped to 13th by the end. Queen City Exchange, not to be confused with Queen City Radio, is a stock market inspired bar. Pretty simple inside, the place is sleek and simple. Long bar, stand up tables and a large back area for private events or sports-ball viewings. With that being said, there is definitely more of a frat-boy, vineyard vines, salmon shorts wearing vibe here, so be prepared for some major eye rolling and/or good people watching. The premise of QCE is fun, and every now and then you do get a rocking price on a beer, but overall the prices are usually not much different from other bars. The prices on beers are fixated after 9pm, so if you want to have the experience, make sure you get there earlier. Sometimes they will do a "stock market crash" where beers are all $3 and that is definitely the time to buy a couple...or four...beers for you and your friends (or just you). The GMs and owners at QCE are great people, and they try to bring in a lot of unique events, but sometimes I feel the public will flop on turn-out. Overall, QCE is a great place to grab a beer, they let outside food in so grab a lobster roll next week and sit back and relax! read more

Love this bar! We came here for the Citybeat best of Cincy after party and really enjoyed ourselves. The atmosphere is fun, and on this particular night there was live R&B music (c/o citybeat so not sure its a norm). Towards the back there is competition basketball like something youd find at Dave and Busters, which was super fun! There is plenty of seating at tables or the bar. Lots of craft drafts and cocktails. It was late so the stock market pricing wasn't in effect, but will certainly come back to take advantage of that concept! read more

Rumor has it, on occasion, the stocks crash and all beers drop to their lowest price. After a certain hour, this stops and the bar becomes a bit more standard (it would be A LOT to keep up with if this place were packed). I've been here a number of times, but stopped by this weekend as part of Pride celebrations. This place was HOPPIN'. The music was great and the vibes were good! I really loved the carefree environment and everyone in the house seemed to have a smile on their face. Maybe it was because people had been partying all day, but it felt like everyone was having a great time at Queen City Exchange. Queen City Exchange is a bit of a chameleon and I've seen it have a number of different vibes: trivia nights, chill bar, thumping club music... you name name it, I've seen it here. The concept of this place is FUN!! I went there on Saturday when they first opened and everyone was having a good time. Beer prices start at $6 and fluctuate every 10 minutes, depending on demand. There is a TV screen that lists beers and prices like a stock ticker, and includes the 10 minute countdown (in seconds). While we were there, prices ranged from $3.75 - $9.00. The market even "crashed" and all beers were $4 for a few minutes. That was exciting! I asked a bartender if the next day's prices start where they 'closed' at the night before, or start again at $6. He said they have the option to do it either way but they are currently opening the prices at $6 each day. However, without knowing what all the beers are you could end up getting a really shitty beer because it was priced low at the time. Not to mention while you are waiting for a bartender to serve you, the price of your preferred beer can be inflated by the time he/she/it/they asks you what you want. Architecturally, the layout could be better. Too many people are concentrated in front of a small bar. Then there are empty spaces around the crowd not being utilized. Disperse the crowd by having counters and bar stools along the wall or something. read more

Such a fun spot! Queen City Exchange is a bar where the drink prices are based on customer demands. They have large TV screens behind the bar that look like stock market tickers where you can see the drinks prices fluctuate. I've never been to a bar like this, and I thought it was such a cool concept! Aside from the fun stock market action, the bar itself is really neat! They have a ton of TV for watching sporting events, free popcorn, and a great beer selection. Plus the staff was great! We came one night when it was super crowded, and the bartenders were making sure everyone got what they needed in a timely manner. If I lived in Cincinnati, this would definitely be a regular stop for me. They let you bring in outside food, so pull up a bar stool and get comfy. We don't make it out to bars very often these days with a little one at home. But when we do get out for a drink, Queen City Exchange is definitely one of our favorite spots. The design of the bar is great. A nice, long copper bar with plenty of seats and big displays that show their impressive selection of drafts and current prices. Beyond the bar there are some tables for a more relaxed experience. They have plenty of TVs which make it easy to watch any sporting events, plus a few activities like darts and an arcade style basketball hoop game. And if you need a little snack, they have complimentary popcorn popped fresh. And of course, the concept is unique and fun. Beer prices fluctuate like the stock market based on what beers are being purchased most often. Occasionally there will be a market crash and all beers will be reduced to happy hour level prices. It is a fun concept that encourages you to try many different beers in order to get the best price or "pay the price" for sticking with a popular beer. They have a DJ on the weekends and the bar is really spacious so you never feel like it's unbearably crowded. The vibe is always fun and laid back. There are tons of TVs behind the bar and the great drink prices can't be beat. They recently added some late night food which is perfect when you've been drinking and have the munchies. The FREE popcorn is super clutch, nothing better than some salty snacks while throwing back a few. QCE is an absolute MUST visit if you're in search of a good sports or going out bar when visiting Over the Rhine in Cincinnati. I know we will defiantly be back sooner rather than later! read more

Pretty cool concept to make this bar stand out- the beer fluctuates in pricing depending on its popularity that day. The price fluctuation ends around 9pm, so be sure to get there a little early to experience this. They will display the prices similar to the stock market exchange. Most beers start at $6 and then go up/down by increments of 25 cents. The bar itself is very long, which looks awesome, but I feel it lead to some service issues with only one bartender while we were there. They offer over 30 taps, so they will definitely have something for everyone! They do also offer some tables in the back of the bar if you have a larger group. Came to The Queen City Exchange after lunch at Revolution Rotisserie up the street. This place is fairly new but there was a good amount of patrons for a Saturday afternoon. The whole stock exchange concept is super cool but the prices can get a little outrageous. The idea works though because we ended up trying new beers we'd never heard of. If you're lucky to be there when the market crashes you'll be very happy. They also will give you a sample before you buy. I'm not a beer drinker so I was happy they had a full bar so I could order cocktails. The staff was very nice although at times I had to wait a while for a drink. The bar is very long and depending on the end you're on and number of bartenders there can be a wait. But there's plenty of tvs and the constantly scrolling ticker to keep you occupied. The location is interesting and there's not much else around which is a good and a bad thing. I'll definitely be heading back again! read more

QCE is a fun addition to OTR with a huge assortment of beers on draft, from local craft to domestic, there's something to please everyone. The space is pretty large, with tables, standing room at the bar and a larger area in the back for bigger groups. The space is clean and modern, and there's an old elevator shaft in the middle of the room, which is kinda awesome if you ask me. The reason I was excited about this place was because the beer prices are kind of like a stock market exchange until 9pm. That means the higher the demand, the high the price. The lower the demand, the lower the price. So, if a Madtree beer was selling through the roof, the price would go up to reflect that. I arrived to QCE after 9pm so I missed out on this excitement, but I'd gladly return to have some fun and maybe try a new beer that was priced lower due to demand. read more

So you can get a deal or end up overpaying. It can actually be a bit stressful though! You have to pay a lot of attention to the prices. You don't want to end up paying $7 for a beer when it was just $4. The market crashes every now and then, which means the prices all go down. It only lasts 2 minutes so there's a bit of a mad rush to the bar and it can be tough to get a drink if it's crowded. There's free popcorn and you can bring in food. Plus TVs for your sports viewing needs. Good for YPs and after work drinks. They also have an investors club where you have a punchcard each month with different drinks. Get all drinks punched each month for t-shirt, tank top, or other swag. Have some drinks but pay attention to the price! read more

Queen City Exchange has a plethora of amazing craft (and regular) beers on tap, with fluctuating prices to help nudge you to try some new brews. To start off, the space is amazing. How often do you get to see an old elevator shaft in the middle of the bar next to an amazing, hand-painted, Cincinnati-unique mural? The guys who opened this spot clearly love their city, and clearly love preserving its history. The copper bar top and exposed brick really help keep the history alive in the renovated space. Now, onto the beer. Basically, the more people buy, for example, Rhinegeist Cougar, the more expensive it gets (up to $9), and vice versa. So, some of the more unique beers might be on the cheaper end, cheap as in $3.50! This is great for those people who are wanting to try some new beers, and heck they'll even let you take a sample before you bite the bullet. Queen City Exchange basically has a Happy Hour til 9pm every night, so you really have no excuse not to come check this space out. My dude and I parked in the parking garage near The Eagle, and it was literally a 5-7 minute walk there. Nice bar. Unique concept. We attended an event here and were pleased to finally get to this bar and to see what all the fuss was about. Ha. The bartender was nice and quick with our drinks. The beer list, which includes, craft drafts and bottles/cans is diverse and has something for everyone. The wine list is smaller but still possessed some gems and I was pleased with the red I ordered. There are TVs everywhere so this is a great spot to watch a game or unwind after work. I enjoyed the antique elevator shaft that was used for the trivia host's table and PA system. It would of course be great if there was an attached patio for the warmer months, but QCE is stuck between other buildings with no chance of a patio (rooftop???) anytime soon. This spot is a bit off the beaten path, but it's worth a detour. Interesting concept with the stock market pricing. I was there from 5-9 on Friday and only saw the market crash once, which was a little disappointing, but the bartenders say they don't control it. Obviously, lots of beers on tap, a small cocktail menu and wine as well. There's free popcorn and the space is very industrial cool. The Reptile Tank. Cincinnati really needed another sports bar. Who cares if there are 600 or so already? This one has the ambiance of a Reptile Tank. What more could you ask for? With bare brick walls and multiple flat screen TVs, when it gets loud, it gets LOUD! Enjoy the noise while the bartenders might eventually get around to serve you. While you were waiting the beer prices just "fluctuated" and not in your favor. That is the only thing that makes this bar original. They have devised an original way to screw you over on alcohol sales, even more! In fact, this Daffin Development group has "bought up" most of the buildings on Court st. and they have put residents and business owners on month-to-month notice, so that the Daffin group can kick them out whenever they feel like it. So, to be perfectly clear, what some over-privileged rich dudes call "development" ~ everybody else (downtown residents, and business owners included) call "ordinary people getting screwed over by the rich (again)!" So, if you like drinking over-priced beer, in a very boring, typical, "Reptile Tank" Sports bar, then this place is for you. read more

Stopped in last night to check out the space. Beautiful building, very clean, and friendly bartenders. As a craft beer enthusiast I appreciate seeing mostly local taps. Their on demand pricing is only from 4pm-9pm so I'll have to go back to check that out. Lots of televisions as well. I could see myself being there for Opening Day next year. My only complaint was when the bartender started openly complaining about staying open late. I completely understand if business is slow and you want to close early, but there's better ways to state that than just complaining to the people who are helping fuel your paycheck. read more
