She didn't clarify whether I wanted coffee or matcha..she just went ahead and made it with matcha. I asked if there was coffee in it since I didn't taste or see it, and she said no, but the matcha has some caffeine. Can't believe I just found out this places existed! I was looking for coffee places near downtown and this popped out. I was a little confused when I parked around the corner since it is on the first floor of a bar and the name was very discrete. It was Saturday evening and thank god it was almost empty, there was only a couple seating outside. We were planning to take it to go, but the place was so cozy and welcoming that we decided to sit down. They even had tic tac toe. Additionally the service was great! We ordered a cappuccino and a lavender latte, both were delicious. The lavender latte in particular my favorite drink so far. I'm definitely coming back and also I look forward to trying out their matcha later. read more

dropped in for a quick coffee: Iced latte with a little bit of vanilla. I also got a Cooke and a cinnamon roll. The cookie was ok. But the cinnamon roll was very hard. I assume if it was heated up it would be much better / but I wasn't asked if I wanted it heated up so not sure if that's an option. Coffee was good. This place is the real deal--was in the area visiting with a friend and we wanted to find a local coffee shop to hang out and relax for a bit on a very hot day. This place was perfect--all types of great seating options with lounge type of chairs and regular chairs. A nice variety of treats and coffee options as well as tea all reasonably priced. Only downside is only pay parking available on the street during daytime hrs and the shop is on a very main street. The barista we had was very friendly and we loved the quality of drinks we ordered! I had a fantastic iced Americano and my friend had an amazing Chai Tea! This would be a place I would come to often if I lived in the area! read more

The coffee itself was phenomenal. However, the service was extremely below average. I waited 40 minutes for my coffee, only because their system is inefficient and ineffective. Other people who ordered the same thing off the menu were taking coffees sooner than people who had been there longer, only because there was no appropriate system (i.e. - asking for a name). I loved the atmosphere and wanted to have a better experience, but no coffee is worth waiting 40 minutes for; I will not ever return. read more

Hands down - this is the best PSL you're going to find in Cincinnati! Lola's is a super cozy coffee shop right in the heart of the Banks, and it's reputation for being one of the best coffee shops in the area is absolutely true. They have all of the classics you could want, but they also have really exciting and creative coffee drinks to try and after going there yesterday - I want to try them all! The PSL was perfectly autumnal and strong without being too sweet which is nearly impossible to find. The people working there were so helpful and honestly just a blast to chat with. This little coffee shop is the perfect homework spot. It's so quiet and quaint and the baristas here are so kind! There's a latte "happy hour" that I'm pretty sure extends for a good amount of time where you can get lattes for like $3. That's unheard of. On top of that, it's also a bar! The interior of Lola's is dark with a variety of seating options -- booths, tables, some outdoor seating. They've got a full coffee bar menu plus a few snacks/pastries as options. And like any good coffee shop, free wifi. A perfect coffee that is always worth the wait. I look forward every weekend to go to Lola's after my long runs to indulge in a "made with love" coffee or matcha. I think I've tried most of the lattes but the lovely barista today suggested a Honey Bee which was absolutely delicious and not overly sweet. I also watched them so kindly and patiently explain to another customer differences between cortados, lattes and cappuccinos. The people and the environment are what makes Lola's stand above the rest despite many great downtown options. They also carry Ché baked goods and beautiful croissants. I particularly appreciate not just the art inside but the options to support local art as well. Consider this my love letter. read more

Easy access right off the interstate (you can see the Bengals stadium from Lola's) with parking garages and street parking nearby. Upon entering, my coworker and I both went "aww" - from the cozy chic patio seating to the garage door that invites sunshine & fresh air into the coffee shop, we instantly knew Lola's was a great pick. The space is intimate, so it's better for pairs or small groups. My coworker's chai latte was beautiful (hello, latte art & fab tea saucer) and the breakfast sandwich hit the spot for a mid-morning snack. The barista was friendly and recommended the bar upstairs (Blind Pig, I believe?) for when we got hungrier later in the day. Sometimes you just need a little caffeinated kick to get the say going, and Lola's gives you that along with great taste and quality product. I discovered this lovely place thanks to my work, and I couldn't get over how great the place smelled as soon as I walked in. The air was filled with the scent of toasty roasted goodness... So I had to try some! It was a rather hot day, so I decided to try their cold brew. And I'll admit that I like my coffee the way I like my use of The Force, on the "dark side", so I had it straight black. It definitely gave me that caffeine kick I needed and in a tasty way. Possibly the best cold brew I've ever had! But Lola's isn't just about the coffee. They also have great beer and wine options as well other delicious beverages. Try some of their baked goodies too, like scones, bagels, and breakfast sammies and more. There's lots of comfy indoor seating as well as outdoor seating if you wanna kick back for a while. In addition the foam was mediocre. Service was a bit slow due to the fact that only one person was working. However, she was very friendly and talkative. The coffee shop itself was very clean and eclectic. Artwork for sale, music playing, a very nice setting. I would ordinarily give them a second chance. If you ask questions, he talks you through the options in a way that educates you but doesn't make you feel dumb. I'd learn a lot about espresso drinks if I came here consistently. Ask him for a recommendation based on what you are looking for and he will not disappoint. The setting is quiet, warm and inviting. It is the type of place that you would want to read a book, find a corner to work in, or hang out with a small group of friends. There are four quiet, comfortable booths in the back, three tables in the front and a small seating area of three soft chairs by the front window. The menu has ample variety at reasonable prices. He served my drink in a small glass, and it felt like when we ordered coffee at the espresso bars in Europe. read more
