We were staying near the airport and were in search of good coffee and preferred supporting a small, local business. Yelp led us to Villa Mocha and we are so thrilled. I am currently sipping on an enormous iced latte (no flavors for me) and it is perfection. Extremely smooth espresso and good balance of the oat milk I ordered. The inside is bright and cheery with small goods from local vendors. There are tables and chairs but no comfy couches/cushy chairs, if that matters to you for your coffee hangout experience. There are bagels, scones, and a few other pastries to accompany their expansive drink menu. Yes, they seem to specialize in their really unique flavor combos for lattes, but they also have the coffee basics and teas. The digital menu board scrolled through the menu a bit too fast for us to see, so we had to ask the lovely owner for advice. She has the specialty drink menu printed but I wish there were either an online menu to view via QR code or full printed menu at the shop. Luckily, she was extremely patient and helpful. Everyone who popped into the shop was greeted so warmly, many clearly regulars. I think this speaks volumes about the quality of both a product AND the people who serve you. We would gladly come back when in the area. read more

I ordered the apple blueberry pie and my husband got the apple doughnut... omg, both were incredible. I wish this place was local to us in Nashville because I'd be here all the time. Maybe stop paying your employees in weed? Got a simple coffee and the potato bacon 'hand pie' - "do you want that heated up?" Yes please. After waiting for 10 minutes for them to 'heat it up' hit the road to get to work - opened the bag to discover a gross cold 'hand pie'. Yes yes it's difficult to place a food item into a microwave and then press a button or buttons labeled with big words on them such as 'start' or the number '1' but perhaps some training is in order. Better to go to a 7-11 and that way you can manage the delivery of coffee and food yourself. read more

We moved over the bridge in August and had no clue where to get coffee anymore. My sister in law and I stumbled across this place. We now get it many times a week. The staff and owner are just the best! They all greet you with smiles and kindness from the moment you walk in till when you leave. We love the crème brûlée latte, but I've also tried many seasonal drinks that are just as lovely, and to top it all off the whip is homemade! Villa Mocha is not only delicious but conveniently located in the heart of Villa Hills. You can tell the owner, Alison put her heart & soul into the store & continues to put her heart into each cup of coffee she makes. Villa Mocha has pastries from local bakeries, multiple syrup flavors, & even a kiddy area for the kids to color while parents enjoy their coffee! I found my Mocha to be more bitter than chains which tend to drown their drinks in sugar, I really enjoyed this. I am so excited that there is a coffee shop back in Villa Hills now. It is something that has been lacking and my hope was a small, independent coffee house would open someday and that day is now. We went this morning after the owner posted on Facebook that they are open. Great coffee, pastries from a local bakery who apparently has been very kind and helpful to the owner of VillaMocha (which I love to hear) and a kids corner so us moms and dads can get some coffee and sit for a moment while the kids have a space to play. I'm visiting family in Northern Kentucky and have visited Villa Mocha three times now. The owners are simply wonderful and the coffee is fantastic! I live in an urban area with lots of gourmet coffee shops and this place honestly has them beat. Between the amazing customer service and how much love and care the owners pour into everything they serve here, it's well worth visiting. If I lived here I would be a regular!! I usually order a vanilla latte, but the owners recommended their specialty, the Opera Cream latte (inspired by the locally famous candy) and it was delicious! I also tried an assortment of their fresh pastries (new assortment delivered daily) and the owners put so much thought and care into where they source things from locally.
