I was passing through town and decided to stop at Villa Mocha and I'm so glad I did! It's a quaint little shop with absolutely delicious coffee. I ordered the apple blueberry pie and my husband got the apple doughnut... omg, both were incredible. I wish this place was local to us in Nashville because I'd be here all the time. I also had the pleasure of meeting Lydia and Hunter, who were so kind and welcoming. If we pass through again, I'll definitely be back. Villa Mocha is a true gem -- delicious treats and a warm, inviting atmosphere.

Always a delight to visit Villa Mocha! They support local makers & bakers by offering a selection of handmade items for sale + fresh baked goods. The coffee is fresh and they have a wide selection of espresso / coffee based drinks + flavors. On this visit we got their latte flight - all were tasty & different! The fresh baked pastry was the perfect snack to go alongside the flight.

This is the sugar cookie latte that I got today!

We moved over the bridge in August and had no clue where to get coffee anymore. My sister in law and I stumbled across this place. We now get it many times a week. The staff and owner are just the best! They all greet you with smiles and kindness from the moment you walk in till when you leave. We love the crème brûlée latte, but I've also tried many seasonal drinks that are just as lovely, and to top it all off the whip is homemade! There is a huge pastry case that is full of goodies that you can never go wrong with. Highly recommend if you are ever in the area! One of the best coffee shops!!

When you can't have certain things because of an allergy, you get excited and almost get to work late so you can stop and get an amazing coffee for Fat Tuesday. This Mardi Gras Latte iced with almond milk was amazing.

It was so good we went back the second day of our stay and will be back for the third! Small local business, super friendly. And!! Amazing coffee. Love that they have lavender honey and oat milk. Plus so many other options. The vibe is fabulous! Worth the drive if you're not quite close by!

My coffee nirvana, 20oz mocha ! Phenomenal!

Very excited to finally have a small business coffee shop option in Villa Hills. A thousand times better than the only option before, Ameristop. Villa Mocha is not only delicious but conveniently located in the heart of Villa Hills. You can tell the owner, Alison put her heart & soul into the store & continues to put her heart into each cup of coffee she makes. Villa Mocha has pastries from local bakeries, multiple syrup flavors, & even a kiddy area for the kids to color while parents enjoy their coffee! I found my Mocha to be more bitter than chains which tend to drown their drinks in sugar, I really enjoyed this. Villa Mocha prices out similar to Starbucks but is a local business and in my opinion much tastier. I plan to frequent this shop as it is around the corner from my home! Way to go Alison!

    Decor is pleasant.

Great coffee and atmosphere. I had an Ethiopian blend with a hint of strawberry at the end. Finished clean and had no bad aftertaste. The inside is well decorated and very welcoming. Good for kids as well. They have a chalkboard for them to write on. Friendly owner and very knowledgeable about the different coffees she carries. Did I mention the coffee is roasted in Kentucky. Kentucky Proud Products.

The coffee cake didn't stand a chance

The owner is extremely personable and really elevated our experience. The menu is finely curated with many menu options, both pastry and coffee/tea. The decor and atmosphere is LOVELY. Highly impressed by this place.

When we sat upstairs, our waitress suggested a few seasonal drinks which I really enjoyed. The food was also really tasty. I love the ambiance inside and all of the woodwork. Expect a moderately high energy vibe during peak times. Quick and friendly! The wait was 30 min, as it appeared so many others also had the idea to visit this morning. My friend chose the BYO quesadilla, which was served with sour cream and salsa. She also got a side of fruit. I opted for the BYO omelette. It comes with a bread option, so I went for one of their in-house biscuits with a side of gravy. The onions were a fine dice and well sautéed in my omelette, which was perfect! And the biscuit was just as yummy as I remembered. Good things to note: You pay at the table, with the option to do tap/Apple pay , which I greatly appreciate. Don't forget to get a couple of biscuits to take home and later enjoy with butter and honey.

This is basically bar food in an expensive looking setting. We both wanted to order their chicken wings, but were told that they only had 10 wings left. Which was puzzling since the place was relatively empty. And speaking of that, we made a reservation online thinking the place would be hopping for dinner. Not so much. I had the taco el pastor. It was good but was basically pulled pork on a corn tortilla with bbq sauce. I also ordered the Brussel sprouts which would have been really good if they weren't drowning in white sauce. I recommend asking for all sauces on the side, btw. TVs on the wall all around the dining room are tuned into blooper reels and trivia. All in all, the menu wasn't intriguing enough for us to want to go back.

Rarely does a restaurant manage to feel like a neighborhood secret while delivering a high-caliber…read moreculinary program, but Sanctuary Social has mastered that delicate balance. Tucked away in Villa Hills, it has quickly established itself as a "hidden gem" that defies traditional categorization--part sophisticated lounge, part high-end bistro, and part soulful community hub. The design of Sanctuary Social is its first masterstroke. It captures the paradox of being "upscale-casual"; you'll find plush velvet sofas and warm, modern lighting that evoke a high-end city lounge, yet the energy remains as approachable as a favorite dive bar. The addition of live music on the weekends elevates the space from a mere eatery to a destination, providing a vibrant backdrop that feels both intimate and celebratory. It is a "sanctuary" in the truest sense--a place to disappear into for a few hours. The kitchen leans into "Elevated American" with a focus on fresh, high-quality ingredients and shareable plates that encourage conversation. Small Plates & Boards: The Artisan Meat and Cheese Board is a standout, curated with a level of intentionality often reserved for dedicated charcuterie houses. For a more modern bite, the Fresh Tomato Bruschetta with whipped burrata is a bright, creamy essential. The "Handhelds": The Wagyu Brisket Sammie and Wagyu Brisket Elote Tacos showcase the kitchen's ability to take casual comfort food and apply premium techniques. The brisket is consistently tender, balanced by the acidity and creaminess of the elote corn salsa. Craft Cocktails & Mocktails: The bar program is formidable. Their seasonal cocktails (like the Blackberry 75) are balanced and inventive. For those seeking non-alcoholic options, the Blackberry Lemonade Spritz or the Jalapeño Lemonade offers a complex profile that far exceeds standard soda fare. Sanctuary Social is the kind of place that Northern Kentucky has been craving: a spot that respects the craft of food and drink without the stiffness of formal dining. It's a "destination" restaurant hidden in plain sight, offering A1 surroundings and a menu that hits its mark with precision. If you haven't made the drive yet, you are indeed missing out on one of the region's most compelling new additions.
