Imagine driving to Cincinnati ahead of the incoming snowstorm, ready for a fun coffee shop, because my sister is basically a coffee shop snob. We go across town (at least 20 minutes), hopes high and taste buds ready, only to land at this spot and find the energy a little more "BLAH" than "CAFFEEINE PARTY." I'm all about giving new to me places a chance, so I let them know I was from out of town, expecting an enthusiastic welcome or at least a menu breakdown. Instead, I got about as much excitement as a decaf espresso shot. I was this close to skipping the order altogether, but my inner self said keep going. The baristas making the drinks were great, and the space itself is roomy enough for laptop warriors or a catch-up with pals. The drinks, though, didn't have me doing cartwheels, but hey, maybe it was just an off day for my taste buds. I can't begin to remember the name of my drink Would I go back? Probably not. Will our Cincinnati crew give it another shot? Also unlikely. But hey, if you're nearby and feeling adventurous, maybe you'll catch them on a day when the energy is as strong as their coffee. I had a hug in a mug latte which was a combination of white and chocolate mocha and I added toasted marshmallow. My new found favorite and it's on the west side!!! I have been frequenting this place for quite some time now. I tried their Caramel Macchiato, so satisfying and other specialty coffee concoctions! Warm and inviting. Excellent coffee. A variety of part and sandwich choices. Easily accessible. From what I understand it was started by two girls from McCauley who are very gracious in serving you. A low key crowd where you can come in and out for a quick visit or sit for hours with your iPad or computer and enjoy the atmosphere. read more

I really like the vibe in this place. They seem to do Stewart business and move quickly. Very friendly staff and they just make you feel welcome. The vibe is the main attraction. Plenty of tables to work from and they also have a small shaded outdoor area. The coffee is pretty good. I can't say it's the best, but it won't disappoint. The muffins, croissants and other sweets are delicious and many are from local shops in the area. I will be making regular stops here in the future. Happened upon this place when the line at dunkin at ridiculous. It's a GEM. Coffee is what it should be- coffee. The Carmel macchiato was not just a cup of sugar. The Americano was smooth and nutty. Croissant was flaky airy and buttery. Ooey gooey dessert brought me one step closer to diabetes with every bite. We were in this area for an apt. It's 45min from home. A super quaint coffee house. Met a friend here (she is a regular) and they all knew her. The staff was very friendly. I got an iced caramel latte and it was so smoothe and good. I also got a ham and cheese croissant and the croissant was so fluffy, flaky and delicious!! Before we left I got a to go iced coffee - a valentines special with vanilla and honey flavors. AMAZING. The atmosphere is quiet but bustling - in a good way. I will definitely be back! The only thing I wish is that they had larger sizes of coffee (small and tall). I'm a XXL/Venti kind of girl. Lavender Lemonade & Ice Chai Tea w/ Almond Milk. Chocolate Chip Cookie. I love supporting small businesses. However, this one is off my list. I stopped by for a tea between appointments with hopes of resting in the cool air and enjoying a book. The staff seemed aloof and kept thanking me & practically greeted me with enough goodbyes that it felt uncomfortable to stay. I ordered & waited to pay in the same spot while one helped the other make a simple lemonade. They said goodbye again, I repeated that I was planning to sit for while and use up time. It got a point where I just ignored them and went to the seating area as soon as I had my drinks. I'm new here, maybe it was an off day for the team. It's fine. The problem was that the drinks were absolutely terrible. Lavender Lemonade was powder and a teabag for $3.. it somehow tasted like iced mango. The ice chai I ordered was a watered down spiced almond milk. Sadly, I took three sips of each, got up, sat these on the counter and left. Overpriced. Small cups. Untrained aloof staff. Terrible product. Worse service. Kindness is cool but I'd rather have staff that knew what they were doing, took my order, let me pay, then made my drinks. No sense of service here. If you come here, get the chocolate chip cookie and black coffee and leave. Ambiance would be nice if the staff were welcoming and present. Seating is broken up but the parking is a plus. Love the idea of it more than the taste. read more

Cute and trendy new coffee shop in White Oak. They have several signature drinks: The Cincinnati Tradition (cafe mocha ft. cayenne pepper) and Hudy's Delight (white chocolate & hazelnut). I got the former and the frittata (crustless quiche); I was happy to see that the frittata was gluten free! Unfortunately they don't have a full kitchen, so any food items are basic and just warmed up, again not a big deal for a small shop. The drinks were OK - the Cincinnati Tradition didn't capitalize on the cayenne (couldn't taste it over the overt sweetness). I really like some of the drink ideas and the coffee shop itself is bright, well decorated and has plentiful seating. I think it needs a little work in menu execution, but I am very happy to visit. Cute little space. It's one of those coffee houses in a house so there are little twists and turns. The outdoor area looked nice though too chilly to sit out there when we went. I'd already had plenty of coffee for the day so I opted for tea and they carry my favorite brand. Prices were reasonable, service was nice. Nothing to make it stand out dramatically but pleasant. I will say that the address puts it on Cheviot but it's right on the corner so you actually need to turn at the street before any GPS tells you you've arrived. read more

One word - charming. I loved absolutely everything about White Oak Coffee House. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by the smell of freshly baked pastries and freshly brewed coffee. I ordered a holiday gingerbread latte and a fresh blueberry scone. They even give you a punch card that will make your 10th coffee free! I found a seat in the adorable house and my latte was even hand delivered to me! Every detail was taken into consideration from the pictures on the walls to the type of seating. It felt like I was cozying up in my own home with a deliciously comforting cup of coffee. The blueberry scone actually MELTED in my mouth. I stayed at the location for about 3-4 hours co-working with my colleague. I got there around 8am and there was only one other patron in the shop. By the time we were leaving around noon the shop was packed and lively! I will definitely be coming again to churn out some school work on the weekend and for once I am excited to do so! read more

White Oak Coffee House is adorable. I would definitely come back here to camp out and get some work done. When I first pulled up, I noticed that there was a ton of space for parking. The building is a repurposed house, and felt just as home-y on the inside. The staff was quick to greet me when I walked in the door. I ordered a cold brew coffee and found a table. There's tons of natural lighting inside, which was great (just know that you may have to rotate chairs to keep the sun out of your eyes). The space, including restrooms, were kept clean. I even saw staff walk through the shop multiple times to collect plates/trash. You can tell that they keep their best foot forward. I'll definitely come back the next time I'm in the area! read more

The friendliest, cutest coffee house! This place is literally in an old house and it's so tastefully decorated with plenty of cozy spots to enjoy their beverages and/or house made pastries. They also have a little gift shop with unique local art & themed gifts, which is cool! It's also kept very tidy - the baristas kept the tables bussed and cleaned promptly after each party/guest. I love this- it shows they take pride in presentation/aesthetic. Both times I've been the staff has been extremely helpful and friendly. That goes a long way, too! They also have quite a buzzing to-go business. Apparently they offer order-ahead coffee from an app. If I lived in this part of town I would definitely use that! Visited multiple times to make sure my first experience wasn't just a fluke, but I was a little disappointed in White Oak Coffee House. The staff were incredibly friendly and the coffee shop is really cute and cozy. However it is too small, and the specialty lattes were way too sweet on both occasions. If you want a coffee to-go then I recommend this over any chain/non-locally owned coffee shop. However if you're looking to get some studying/work done, odds are you won't find anywhere to sit or it'll be too loud since the space is so small. And if you're going to get any type of specialty latte, ask for half the amount of syrup too read more

In the past the coffee and staff have been great. We went in the other day and the staff was extra grouchy, which I understand-everyone had a bad day. We ordered coffee and shortly after drinking two sips (both myself and the person I brought with me) we felt dizzy and sick all day. I was excited to hear about another coffee house opening on the west side of town, and this one did not disappoint! I had a cup of dark roast coffee that only dreams are made of! Sometimes dark roasts can be overdone with a lingering bitter and burnt taste. This dark roast was rich, smooth and flavorful in all the right ways. I also had a homemade fruit/granola square which was absolutely delicious, but priced too high for the serving size. But they are new, so hopefully they will rethink the price or increase the serving size because it's the perfect touch of sweetness to go with their coffee. The atmosphere is warm, clean and welcoming in a house with easy parking in the back. It is definitely worth the stop, and gives Starbucks a run for their money. The con's: First off, I always try to be kind and courteous, especially to the overworked and underpaid workers in the food and beverage industry. Unfortunately , the individual who received my drink order was pretty unfriendly. They just seemed annoyed with my being there. There wasn't a line of people waiting behind me, so the place didn't seem slammed at the time. That said, I chalked it up to the employee having a bad day, which we are all entitled to. However, as I was awaiting my drink order at the end of the counter, the barista kept looking over at me, and then finally said, "uh, we'll bring out your drink order", which I inferred as "go sit the f*** down". Perhaps that process was well known among the regulars, but it was my first time visiting the place. My honey/cinnamon latte was delivered to my table about 10 minutes later. The drink had virtually no flavor, which i thought was strange. Again, maybe this overall experience was unique to the day/time I visited. But I'm not in a rush to return to this place.
