My BFF was raving about Morningstar and we hit it up before we went to Charm at the Barn on Saturday and she was SPOT ON! Which Chocolate Mocha Skim Milk (yes, with whip cream - choices) and nice and hot. So good! We splurged on a blueberry lemon coffee type cake that was HUGE and hit the spot perfectly. We came here, after my wife saw all of the five star reviews. Upon arriving, I was immediately skeptical based strictly on appearances. And this skepticism ramped up upon seeing that all the reviews came from relatively infrequent Yelpers. But, I gave Morningstar the benefit of the doubt and tried it. Turns out, I shouldn't have. My latte was flavorless, so I essentially paid $3 for a glass of warm milk. I was/am pretty salty about it, considering how many great cafes are in the area. The only reason that I'm giving Morningmid more than one star is due to the fact that my wife said her chai latte "wasn't the worst" she's ever had. So, there's the silver lining, I guess. read more

The best white mocha I have had in years! The lady who runs it is so kind, pleasant and makes a great coffee! Better yet the value for what you get is unmatched. We ordered a medium latte and medium white mocha and our tab was under $10. Highly recommend stopping there! read more

This place has good reviews so I have to admit I was disappointed. I got a chai latte which was just okay. And I got a muffin that was just okay. It isn't anything to write home about. Service was friendly and fast, and since it is a drive thru it is convenient. But I would not go out of my way to come here again. read more

Morningstar is a neat little place for coffee. It's a drive thru only. They have a window you could order from if you aren't in a car though. It's not much to look at. The service is extremely quick. I had a regular Americano. It's about $2.50 for the medium size. The menu is kind of limited because there's not much room but it does have a good variety in spite of this. A few things they can make include macchiato and mocha. They also have soy milk available, and you can customize your coffee many ways. It might be hard to get to because of the hours. It's open in the mornings and closes early afternoons. Try to get there even if you have to be late. read more

I work right around the corner from this place and I have to say I would give Janet 10 stars if I could! My coworkers and I have really gotten to know her over the last couple years and she is such a sweet person. She will most likely remember your name after 3 or so visits! Her green tea with honey is fantastic as well as her hot white mochas and smoothies! Her husband also bakes scones for her shop which are available on most Tuesday's and they are delicious! Best Feature: Delicious coffee, convenient location, and frequent buyer card rewards! Worst Feature: Not all available coffees seem to be listed on menu. Kinda confusing. I've stopped in several times now, but so far my impression of this drive-thru coffee place is a a great one! I pulled in the first day having seen it several times as I'd passed by on the main road. I finally stopped in to try it out. If you're looking for a sit-down coffee place, this isn't going to suit you. It's drive-thru only. They have a menu on a path through the drive thru as well as the order window, which is REALLY convenient in case you're highly indecisive (like I was on my first trip). So far the few employees I've met have been incredibly nice! I've been asking for suggestions and recommendations and it always brings a big smile to my face when I get enthusiasm from the employees about their products. The first barista recommended I try a cafe mocha which was definitely a great suggestion! I'm a huge chocolate/coffee fan and this really hit the spot. Definitely ranks right up there (actually I like it more) than Starbucks, etc. and I like that they let you customize it (non-fat milk, whip cream/no whip, etc.) I spoke with another employee who informed me they've been there the past 6 years and according to their menu they also do group orders, too, which is really nice! My second trip yielded the amazing recommendation of a white mocha latte - so far it's my favorite!! Sweet and rich without being overwhelming. **Added perk! I was given the option of trying the recommended coffee and if I didn't like it, I could order something else. That is REALLY generous service as sometimes we get stuck eating/drinking something we are not enjoying. It shows real customer appreciation to offer that option, and I was really blown away by that one. Just an extra "small" thing that makes the entire experience quite fantastic! I also am a huge fan of cards that allow you to earn a free drink or perk - helps give me an incentive to return. My first trip yielded me a few bonus stamps, too, just for stopping by! The incentive is if you buy 10 drinks, you get the 11th free. I also didn't spot an expiration date, so it's great to have no pressure to have to return to spend $$ in a short amount of time. This way I can stop by at my leisure and eventually get a free drink out of it. The prices are comparable to a major coffee chain - got a medium cafe mocha (16oz) for around $3.90, I believe. Not bad! :) It's about what I'd expect and I like that they're not crazy overpriced. The only downside I've found thus far is that they have a few coffees written on a dry erase board outside the shop that are not listed on their menu. I don't know what's in them and I don't know how much they are - so I get rather confused as to whether or not they're available and what's involved w/ the drink. It'd be nice to see all available drinks on the same board since the menus include drink descriptions. But they are more than happy to explain what each drink is, so that is nice! I really like this coffee place and the staff has been super friendly and enthusiastic, so based on great drinks, positive attitude, and reward perks for returning, I'll definitely be back here! read more

Absolutely fantastic coffee and such a nice lady who runs it! I stumbled upon this place when I was driving to work. I made a wrong turn actually lol. But I used to live in Seattle so I knew that the look of this coffee house was similar to Washington coffee stands and I HAD to try it. I was totally right to trust my instinct. I always drove by this little place and it hasn't been open when i've drove by since it's only open in the early part of the day, but i've always been curious about it. So one morning i happened to be in the area and i decided to give this little drive thru a try. I had such a good experience! I'm pretty sure the lady that serviced me that morning is the owner, and she was so sweet. She made my caramel macchiato perfectly, and quickly. It was some of the best coffee i've had! Yes! Yes! Yes! This cozy little coffee place is the beautiful thing about entrepreneurship and small businesses. I absolutely adore how quaint and cute the place looks. The owner is so sweet and her chai tea is this perfectly bitter and sweet experience. You can absolutely tell that it's an original recipe - I like my chai dirty (some expresso) and she made It perfectly. I enjoyed my tea with a double chocolate muffin and It was an absolutely delicious burst of caffeinated heaven! My hubby liked his latte a lot (he also had an additional shot) - he had It with a muffin (I forget the flavor) and enjoyed his experience! Definitely worth It to walk up to the window :) read more

I have been a diehard Starbucks snob for at least 15 years. Turning my nose up at any other coffee. Earlier this week I stopped at Morningstar because there were no close Starbucks with a drive thru. I am telling you, this is by far the best coffee I've ever had! Blew Starbucks out of the water! Fantastic! I can't say enough! Plus it's a great feeling to support a local business!!
