This place is definitely a hot spot in the area because there almost wasn't an empty seat in there. Since it was my first time at this location, staff were very helpful with recos, so I landed on crumble cake. It was incredible! One tip...get it warmed up, you'll thank me later. Parking is challenging with where this Deeper Roots location is located but it's still worth the stop. Its high ceilings and hanging art installation make for a very cool spot to work or chat. We stopped by before close (it's a plus they're open later than most coffee shops too) and the baristas were friendly and accommodating. Deeper Roots' prices are more economical than you'd expect too. Most menu items are under $5 which is hard to find at nice coffee places these days. My husband's wild Berry cold brew was unique and declines and my London fog was good, heavy on the foam but I like it that way! read more

Coffee break time! I coerced my daughter to come with me in a coffee run, mostly just to get out of the house. We choose to go to Deeper Roots in Montgomery. Nice newer coffee shop. The coffee was delicious- I had an iced vanilla latte which was the perfect amount of sweet with a not-overpowering coffee. Very refreshing. Servers were polite and efficient. We took our drinks to go, but there are seats and tables for those who want to linger. And a small case of pastries as well. We knew the area so parking wasn't a surprise - there's a garage. Looks like a new access to the garage is being made so eventually there may be a more direct walking route from there to the shop. Either way it was no big deal to walk around Kitchen Social to get our coffee. We'd definitely go again if in the area! read more

I came here for a meeting and will definitely be back! There is free parking in the adjacent parking structure next to the restaurants. There is also a public parking lot (also free) just north of Deeper Roots. The place is bright and fresh with tables and chairs both inside and out, and the menu has a nice variety of coffees and teas. Hubby went with his standard Americano while I branched out and tried a masala chai latte. I asked the barista's reco for the type of milk and went with her suggestion of whole milk. Mine was creamy, spicy, and delicious :). Hubby said his coffee was richer and less bitter than other coffee places. Great place!! read more

Finally, a much-needed coffee shop in the Montgomery area! I stopped here after breakfast at a nearby restaurant that didn't offer coffee after I saw people coming from the shop's direction. The space is open, airy, and tastefully decorated. I ordered a lavender latte with oat milk and it was tasty. Super cute spot, much bigger than the Oakley location. A little hard to access since it's on a 1-way side street but easy to get to if you're walking. Didn't try the food but there are homemade sweet and savory pastries at checkout. Lots of coffee and tea options to choose from, plus Coffees of the Day, loose hot tea and iced tea, and take home products. I chose the house Peach Black Iced Tea, which you can add sweetener to; very flavorful and not overpowered by the peach, medium brew which I like. It was pretty busy on a Friday afternoon, and almost every seat was taken but I didn't have to wait long. There's several 2- and 4-tops outside on the sidewalk, and plenty of group or single seating inside, making this a great place to work or study. Would return! read more

After having lunch at Kitchen Social, we took the long walk to the other side of the building and stopped in for a quick cup of Joe (or whatever human name has been given to hot tea). I ordered the Masala Chai Latte with soy milk. Most of my family grabbed various espresso beverages as well and reviews ranged from decent to very good. The chai latte was good, a deep flavor with a spicy bite. I do like a bit of spice to my chai, but enjoy a decent sweetness too. It wasn't sweet (though I should have asked if it came sweetened), so I'll likely ask for added sugar or syrup next time I come in. This has become one of my wife's favorite places for coffee, and I will likely return for the chai. read more

Deeper roots is a very cute coffee shop in Montgomery! It's close to parking garages which makes it very easily accessible and adds the coffee shop we all needed to the Montgomery area. I like the different seating options and lots of outlets for computer charging! There coffee is rich, and robust. The staff is very friendly. The only downside is it does get loud inside because of the nature of the floor, walls, and open space. But it is a nice atmosphere to get work done or have a meeting other than that! read more

We took our grandbabies in for a hot cocoa while we waited for a nearby toy store to open. My grandson is 5 and he walked in and announced to the barista that he "likes hot chocolate but I don't like hot so just warm chocolate!" The baristas were amused and happy to accommodate his request. Their cups (appropriately sized) came with a sweet little cat face drawn into the foam. My cappuccino was warm not hot and a little bitter. Hubby thought the same about his coffee. Overall a good experience and we would go back. read more
