I don't come here very often, because it's not on my regular route. I REALLY like the fact that they have a drive-thru, even though my car door window doesn't roll down. No matter. I'll just go inside. One of my favorite coffee drinks there is their blended coffee. I really like the Chocolate PB flavor (tastes JUST like a REALLY good Reese's cup). I also like their mocha flavor. They have really good quiches, spinach goat cheese is my favorite. I don't often get their bakery items, but those are tasty too. The food is good and the coffee is better! We love the muffins (blueberry especially)! They are moist and so good every time! My favorite coffee is the blended iced latte with oat milk! This is one of those small coffee places you genuinely want to love, but if you sit here to drink your coffee, it becomes harder and harder to do. The coffee is decent, despite some clear confusion about the difference between macchiato vs. cortado vs. cappuccino, etc., but the mega-disappointment is the filth. Management... take a second to sit in the chairs by the front window on a sunny morning and look around, please. Look at the filthy window sills, the dirty tables, the littered floors (especially under the tables and along the walls), and the dried-but-never-cleaned-up spills on your tile. Hello yummy locally owned coffee shop that I had been driving by all the time not realizing it was there. Its kind of on the backside of a plaza (this allows for the convenient drive up window they have) so isn't super visible from Clough Pike. Thanks to Yelp, I discovered them! I stopped by late morning for a caffeine fix and quick bite. The staff was matter of fact but not overly friendly. When I stated I had never been there before, and asked for recommendations, after some questioning they were helpful. Had I not asked about specialty drinks I never would have discovered the "Cincinnati Mocha". The menu just lists it as such with no description. WELL it is the standard chocolate with cayenne and maybe cinnamon to almost give it that skyline flavor. I AM HERE FOR IT. Sweet with a nice little kick. For food I chose one of their Quiches; spinach and goat cheese. It's not just a slice, but your own little mini pie. The crust was excellent, goat cheese flavor really came through, but middle was a little rubbery as it was reheated. I took a blueberry crumb muffin to go which was moist and flavorful. The crumb topping had the perfect crisp and the blueberries were generous. Although I did not stay, there is plenty of room for setting up shop to work, study, or catch up with friends. Stopped by because I was in the area, and one review said the Cincinnati Mocha was delicious. Turns out, they were right! A low key kind of place. And they had the pricing clear and visible in the drive thru, which I loved! Now for the coffee. It was HOT! Now, not burnt like some places can be when it's that hot. I could only take sips at first, but the flavor was smooth and strong! Idk what exact flavoring the Cinci Mocha is (my guess cayenne with mocha), but it had just enough of a bite. Also, the cup was full! Many places don't fill the cup all the way to the top, but it was full. Plus, the prices aren't bad at all. The drive thru had a few cars ahead of me, but the line went quickly. If I'm back in the area I'll definitely stop by again! At my first visit to Luckman Coffee, I was greeted immediately with an enthusiastic smile and hello - good first impression, check! The employee who took my order helped me to decipher their wide range of products; I was very interested in their "Cincinnati Mocha" at first, but decided to try a more unoriginal and generic iced mocha. I was able to enjoy the perfectly made mocha in the comfort of what seemed almost like my own living room. I also thought it was very neat to see the various art on the walls, some of which were on sale. Great way to get the community involved! I found myself walking around the coffee shop looking at all the interesting pieces for most of my time there. So I just stumbled upon this place on our way out from Mio's and I was like, whoa, why have I never heard of this place before? I miss true mom and pop shops like this and Highland Coffee down in Louisville was my favorite coffee shop before being in Cincinnati. Turns out they don't do much advertising except to the local schools, but it didn't appear to matter as the drive thru was 3 cars deep and a steady flow of people were coming in and out while we were there the the time. Clearly word of mouth promotion is working well and probably also helps keep the prices you pay lower than the competition. The shop offers a nice variety of the usual type coffees and drinks as well as breakfast sandwiches, quiches, muffins, scones, cinnamon rolls, cookies and even Sonnie Marie's muffins and chocolate cakes for gluten free people like me. Staff was super friendly and helpful in walking us through all of the options and favorites. There were 3 staffers making coffee and taking orders and we did not have to wait in any line. A nice bonus for parents was a cute play area around the corner inside with a play table and toys to keep the little ones entertained. Restrooms were clean and local artwork adorns the walls. There are cool little journals of blank pages for visitors to draw in or leave little messages of encouragement in which were really cool to look through. Prices here are great. $3.25 for a breakfast sandwich and coffees and drinks were between like $3-4 on average. Definitely cheaper than Starbucks and you're supporting a local business, which I am all for. My decaf coffee mocha frappucino was awesome! Just as good as the much pricier one from Starbucks AND they gave us another small cup of what didn't fit into the cup we ordered; bonus! The kids loved the cookies we got and my wife enjoyed her large frap! I read some reviews prior saying the floors were gross and dirty looking. It looks to me like that it's the pattern of the concrete flooring that looks rough and spattered by design, but did not appear dirty in any way to me. We used to always come here. Nearly every week. We were back in town and decided to try it again. Wow, it has completely went downhill. The iced coffee used to be made the correct way, but now they just pour hot coffee over ice. The quiche dogs used to be put on a griddle to warm up, but you could tell they were just zapped in the microwave. We waited a good 20 minutes in line, and were so disappointed that our old favorite has turned into this. I'm hoping this is just a temporary lapse and hope that things go back to normal. read more

Not that the owner of this location will end up reading this or care but had my first experience with Luckman Coffee on Saturday and was disappointed in the food and service. The coffee was great, and I was served that right away, but I waited a long time for the breakfast sandwich as apparently I was forgotten (order was "to go"). After mentioning to the young lady, she'd forgotten the sandwich was left in the panini machine and it must've burned. She made another, which I left and did not open the little box to see how it looked or tasted until later. The bacon is simply put on the egg/cheese without being cooked ahead of time, so the bacon was undercooked and floppy (not sure if there's a microwave to cook the bacon to where it would not be undercooked and almost raw?). The sandwich was inedible and thrown away (waste of money). I will return to Luckman for the coffee though, but probably won't choose this particular location again. read more

After reading the reviews, I was very excited to try this coffee shop. The coffee is fine, nothing to write home about. The selection of pastries is fine. They do have a lovely play area, that when viewed from afar seems very appropriate for small children. However, this place is filthy. I mean it is very, very, very dirty. I allowed my daughter to go and play, and immediately felt the need to leave. Every single toy is disgustingly dirty. The floor of the play area looks like coffee had been spilled and never cleaned up, multiple times. The corners are absolutely disgusting and are filled with old dirt and grime. It does not appear that the floors in this place ever get mopped. The service was poor. There were three employees who were standing around when I walked in. And yet, we did not get great service. I had to go back to the counter multiple times to get very basic items and I don't think anyone ever uttered the word "thank you." Even when I threw money into the the tip jar. I really like the coffee here. The different roast are distinct so you truly have a variety to choose from when picking your brew. I usually go in on Saturday afternoon and the young man working is friendly, low key and makes a great drink. I like a the many choices of pastries they serve. I have not gotten a not great item yet! I like the quiche and they have many types to choose from every time I go in the shop. The price is very fair - you get a ton more for your dollar here than like a Starbucks. I definitely thought we were going to the other location, so when we pulled in to a newer parking lot, I was a bit confused. This store front is much more updated and welcoming, especially for a younger customer such as myself. The interior follows suit and looks more like it is from this decade instead of a few back. There are tables and couches throughout to sit and enjoy your delicious coffee with friends or while you work. The young woman who was working was very patient and nice. When we paid, she didn't mention a tip, but also didn't hand us a receipt to sign, so we asked. YOU HAVE TO ADD A TIP TO YOUR CARD BEFORE IT'S SWIPED!!!! So I bought one of the only gluten free baked goods they had and added our tip. I had an Iced Americano, and it was so good it didn't need anything. I like going here. I don't really drink coffee anymore, but when I do, this is where I go. I mean, I'm against Starbucks because it's a giant corporation, but also the coffee isn't good. Luckman's has good coffee. They also have tea and they usually have some kind of tea that I like to drink. And they aren't assholes! I really like the snacks at Luckman's, too. The muffins are delicious. Yetta also loves the muffins. Our Sunday morning dates, which are rare things, always start here. Harvey likes the muffins, too, but he'll eat anything so I don't think it means much. I caught him eating a used napkin two days ago and he seemed to be enjoying it. As if. Yetta and I have good taste, though, and we love the muffins. Great great coffee and friendly, knowledgeably staff. It's also nice that they have a drive through. My complaint was the food. I stopped in here two mornings in a row and once got a stale muffin and the next day got an egg sandwich that tasted like it was a microwaved frozen sandwich. It was very disappointing. In all I stopped in here about 6 times while I was in Cincy. Definitely go for the coffee and avoid the food. Parking in front and a drive through on the side. read more

In fairness I'm not a big coffee drinker, so I'm probably not their target here, but what I've had from Luckman has been disappointing. I've gone in twice, once for a salad, and once for a breakfast sandwich. The salad had good veggies, but microwaved chicken that tasted like it came from a Tyson packet, and the breakfast sandwich had a microwaved egg texture with thin lunch meat turkey. Everything was amazing! The customer service, the friendliness, the quickness... I got a latte (the 16oz) with two pumps of Irish cream and two pumps of amaretto and it was awesome! We got sugar cookies for the kids that we looked perfect as they were sprinkled with colored sprinkles but also tasted amazing. Just the perfect firmness on the outside with a nice gooey inside!
