Abby girl sweets is a Cincinnati cupcake and coffee establishment that I noticed a handful of when on a weekend getaway from Louisville with my family. It kinda caught my oldest daughter attention because her best friend name is Abby and people legit call her "Abby girl". We was checking out the popular tourist/functional jungle jim grocery store when we seen this particular location so we decided we had to stop in. They had a store walk oil stand or you can walk back outside and use a private entrance to dine in. We decided to dine in. Upon walking in its relatively small and cozy. A few tables and a nice fireplace area. They had restrooms that was closed off that said "staff only use jungle Jim's". To me that's kinda garbage. If someone is a paying customer why inconvenience them and make them walk outside and through a grocery store to use a different one. Just bad service on that end if you ask me. Anyways, we all decided we wanted a treat and a drink. I personally got a chocolate cupcake and a specialty drink they called a Abby girl mocha. The cupcake was smallish and was devoured long before i got my drink. It was solid. Nothing spectacular. For a place that looks like they pride themselves on specializing cupcake I expected more. My drink was really good though. So props on that. It was basically a. Hot chocolate with some different spices. Between the rest of my family they got different flavor cupcakes from carrot cake to sugar baby. We all agreed. They was just ok. One of my younger daughters didn't like there's at all but for the most part we all thought it was solid. The drinks were mainly hot chocolates with the exception of my oldest daughter who also got a Abby girl mocha except she got hers frozen where mine was hot. All of us enjoyed our drinks. Service was a tad bit slow and the worker seemed like she rather not be there. Not very kind or warm. Pricing was a tad bit on high side. But not outrageous. You would hope for larger cupcakes but we all know that's not how dessert shops always work. Overall, solid place that I would recommended the speciality drinks over the cupcakes. They could use a refresher on service and hospitality if I'm being completely honest.

Abby Girl has great coffee and good service. Hubby and I stop to grab a couple of coffees every time we shop at Jungle Jim's. We haven't tried their baked goods due to sugar/health issues, but we certainly enjoy their coffee! Be aware that there are two entrances. The outside entrance leads into a dining area where you can be seated. It does not have access into JJ's. The inside entrance (inside the doors of Jungle Jim's) does not allow you access to the dining area.

Delectable cupcakes!! Abby girl, you really have five star cupcakes here!! Very creative with flavors that which satisfies the most finicky eater!! I absolutely enjoyed the Key-lime Cheesecake! The cheesecake was perfect and the key lime icing so tangy which balanced so nicely. I managed to surreptitiously taste the other cupcakes before anyone entered the kitchen! They were all so moist, with a delicate whipped frosting and have the perfect balance of sweetness! All are so wonderfully decorated! If I could sum it up in one word it would be.....pleasurable! Abby Girl Sweets is indubitably suitable for that next big event!!!

Red velvet and shortbread cupcakes

Today was the 10 year anniversary of Abby Girl SWeeTs! I was lucky to come in today, as they were giving a free cupcake to each customer. I'm just moving into the Cincinnati area, and the area I am going to move to needs to have a few requirements, a Chick-Fil-A, a great butcher shop, a place to get good pizza, a hometown coffeEshop, and a place to satisfy my sweet tooth. Abby Girl Sweets is now my go to sweet shop and coffee house!! I had two cupcakes, a shortbread and a red velvet. Red velvet is my favorite go to cake. And the red velvet cake was delicious. They put the perfect amount of cheese cream icing on a perfectly moist cupcake. The shortbread cupcake, well, let me just say, I loved this cupcake. It's got almond flavor in it, like wedding cake does, except this cupcake was better than any wedding cake I've ever eaten. I plan on coming back and trying every flavor. The coffee was excellent also. No bitter taste. I got decaf, since it was alMost 8pm, and they make it fresh, not sittiNg in a pot for hours. Tomorrow I'm coming back to get a mocha, and more cupcakes. Maybe I better find a good gym to, because I'll be eating a lot of cupcakes!! The owner's and their kids were here too. What a sweet family. The kids were very friendly. I'm glad I I'll be supporting a hometown local business operated by such a greaa family.

A friend of mine had to have one of these milkshakes while we were in the area, shit told me they were incredible. I had absolutely no reason to believe that they would be just what shit said they were. The idea sounded really weird, how do you make up cupcake milkshakes? Would that just be a chunky weird consistency mass? And no actually it's pretty much deliciousness. It basically taste like you're eating a cupcake that has been encased in a milkshake. The whole thing is creamy, sweet, intelligent, and yet soft and cakey all at the same time. It is completely ridiculous, and a definite treat

We found this place through a google search trying to find a dessert treat place in Cincinnati because we were craving desserts. I was floored when I finally got to try their cupcakes, shake, and their Italian ice. I am a dessert sweet loving person and man this place hit the spot. Every penny that was used to buy my treats here was completely worth it. Didn't waste any time eating the cupcakes and the rest of the goodies. I was so thrilled with how everything tasted. This place even tasted way better than Gigi cupcakes here in Columbus and that says something. I can see why this place won best in Cincinnati for as many years as it has. My boyfriend loved his desserts too. He loved how flavorful the cheesecake and the shake tasted. He says the cheesecake was more flavorful than the Cheesecake Factory cheesecakes he's tried. He has a very sensitive taste bud pallet. We were just so impressed by this place and the people and the just desserts. We definitely will come back the next time we come through Cincinnati.

I like it that the drinks are not super sweet, which suits my Asian taste. I ordered the pumpkin spice latte and was very touched to have the people walk the drinks right up to you. Talk about customer service! It was peaceful when I got there on a Sunday afternoon.

These cupcakes were fabulous! I used to have a cupcake business in Arizona so I'm a very critical judge... these were moist & flavorful and the frosting was just the right amount of sweet. I had the classic vanilla and could really taste the vanilla! The rest of my family had lemon, classic chocolate and chocolate raspberry...all were big hits. I'll definitely be buying these again!

Stopped at Jungle Jims and saw this place. I got four cupcakes! They were delicious. Moist and soft cupcake and perfect icing. This icing was the perfect sweetness. Alot of times icing can be overly sweet but this was just right!

The picture only gives you a brief idea of how great these were !

This place was really cute and a super random find! The service was just as sweet as the cup cakes . And the girls playing against a local college team devoured them. Good prices for these sweet treats as well!

Ask the Community - Abby Girl Sweets

Do their red velvet cupcakes come w/traditional red velvet frosting, or cream cheese frosting?

It’s a whipped mild cream cheese icing. It’s not a full cream cheese icing. It’s very popular cupcake.

Do they have gluten free options?

Not that I saw, other than the milkshakes

The staff have always been lovely, but honestly, it's the sweets and brunch that keep me coming back! They always have seasonal treats and cakes rotating throughout the year, so there's usually something different to try each time. Their cookies are almost too pretty to eat because they're individually piped by hand, which is seriously impressive. They are definitely on the sweeter side, so don't expect a subtle sugar cookie, but they're perfect when you're in the mood to treat yourself. My personal recommendation is the small button cookies. They're so cute, creamy, and pair really well with their teas, especially since the tea helps balance out the sweetness. The sugar cookies have more of a firm, stiff texture, so I personally prefer the button cookies. Their brunch is delicious too, although the wait can be a little longer at times. If you want the full tea-room experience, I highly recommend making a reservation since that's usually where you'll get the multi-tiered tray filled with an assortment of sweets and savory mini sandwiches. It's definitely more of an experience than just grabbing a quick bite. The cafe itself is adorable and has cute decorations throughout, with a separate back area dedicated to takeout sweets. It makes the whole place feel like a little dessert wonderland, especially when they have their seasonal decorations up. Overall, this is definitely somewhere I'd recommend trying at least once. Whether you're coming for brunch, afternoon tea, seasonal sweets, or just looking for a cute spot to catch up with the girls, there's always something fun to eat--and something new to discover on your next visit!

Today, we exercised a bit more self control. My hubby and I visit weekly. We get 2 slices, different flavors. We plan to try them all. There are so many flavors!! The cheesecake is divine!! Haven't had a flavor we have not loved. A couple I HIGHLY recommend are the blueberry crumble and the lemon supreme. While the space itself isn't large, they had an impressive selection of cookies, cakes, and cheesecakes for a Wednesday afternoon--plenty to tempt you the moment you walk in. I went straight for the bourbon caramel swirl cheesecake, and that's when things got even better. The girl behind the counter casually mentioned they use Weller's bourbon . Even better? She proudly said she gets to eat whichever flavor she wants. I joked that sounded like a great perk--she laughed and revealed she's actually the daughter of the owners. Loved that little personal touch. My wife is more of a traditionalist and chose the original cheesecake with caramel swirl. She said it was incredibly creamy and very good. Mine was just as creamy, with a noticeable punch of bourbon flavor balanced perfectly by the caramel, and finished with a crispy, satisfying crust. Bottom line: definitely good, definitely delicious. This is the kind of place that makes you plan your next visit before you've even finished your slice. I would absolutely return for another piece (or two) Unfortunately, I ate my cheesecake but I snap a photo. I couldn't wait! lol!
