One of my favorite spots for on-the-go food that will satisfy every time. The owners are amazing and it seems like every time I've been everything is made fresh right on the spot. You might have to wait 10 minutes but totally worth it. I always go for the spicy gyro and the falafel with tzatziki. Also...baklava. You get a huge portion for $5 compared to some places charging up to $9(!!) for a small piece. It's also great that the space is open late, especially for events. Have been going to this place for years now! A great place for lunch or a late night meal in mainstrasse. You HAVE to get a chicken shawarma and ask for it spicy, it's filled to the brim and delicious. The biggest thing brining me back is their fries are so seasoned and crispy (if you dine in) The guys working are always super nice and can answer questions about the menu. This is a fun little spot! It's super small inside but they make everything fresh. The gyros are great. Sorta like you would expect. The pizza puff is amazing like a giant pizza roll. The babaganush isn't as sweet or garlicky as I like. And we ordered a kids gyro and didn't know there was cheese on it. I would have asked for no cheese. But they are very nice. read more

Mozzarella sticks are mediocre, fries look like regular fries, gyro fries are nothing special just sumac and melted feta. Gyro it's self was so oily. I just didn't feel like this is above a three star restaurant. It was just average to me. It didn't measure up to my favorite five star Gyro dive in Clifton. I ordered a gyro platter that came with rice and side salad. My friend ordered chicken Shawarma wrap platter with fries and a side salad. Having sampled a bit of everything, I felt it was mediocre. The fries were greasy inside but crispy on the outside. The saffron rice was just edible and the salad was delicious. I feel the gyro meat should be the star of the show but just didn't cut it for me. On the way out, I bought a slice of Baklava to go and it was fantastic!!! If I could go lower, I would. Cold falafel straight from Restaurant Depot. Baba Ganoush was literally just pureed canned smoked eggplant, no seasonings whatsoever. Hummus? Truly horrible and lacking any sort of flavor. My fatoush featured slides black olives a la Chi-Chi's circa 1985. Finally, the baklava.. I spat it out as did my partner. We missed our original brunch plans, and wanted something small and quick to hold us over until after a noon wedding dress alterations appointment. Even though their gyros aren't small, it was quick and the perfect option. I appreciated that they were open before noon on a Sunday. Although it was lunch hours, their $7.99 lunch meal special, is only offered Monday through Thursday. Not a big deal, my gyro was still under $8. The location just opened a couple of months ago, in downtown Covington Mainstrasse area. It was already five stars when it popped up in my "hot and new" options on Yelp. I'm a huge fan of gyros, and this place did not disappoint. My friends took me to this place after skipping breakfast, so I was ready to stuff my face. I ordered the gyro platter with salad and rice. Everything was delicious and perfectly filling. I could have had leftovers, but I'm a proud member of the clean plate club. My friends ordered the vegetarian platters, which had such a wonderful variety of foods (falafel, hummus, stuffed grape leaves, baba ganoush - I probably butchered the spelling). Even though there is limited seating inside, it was perfect for a rainy Saturday because not many people were venturing out. The owner seemed super excited to serve us as well. Checked this place out after hearing of multiple friends tried it and recommend to me. Overall we were impressed with the food atmosphere and the service. I like that they consider themselves "comfort food" which usually isn't what I would normally think of Mediterranean food but they actually do seem to make the items a bit more rich. For instance, I got the falafel sandwich and it seemed like it had a little oil on the outside and was toasted kind of like a Panini sandwich which added a nice flavor and texture. I was also interested in getting a side salad but all the sides were quite expensive for my taste so that's the only downside I found at this restaurant.
