On the way home from the airport, my friend was starving and irritable so I had to make an executive decision. Greek To Me is a small storefront Street Gyro restaurant. Very small and basic, to be sure. Even the toilets were small. But the South Western BBQ GYRO (with beef and lamb) was amazing. Even though there was just a tad too much barbecue sauce. And from the looks of it, her Greek salad with chicken was obviously delicious because she destroyed it! And no Greek meal would be complete without Baklava. EDIT: Actually, she prefers the word "devoured". LOL. She also chided me for not having any veggies on the sandwich. "Veggies? We don't need no stinking veggies!" (That reference is from what movie? Came back for dine in. Fantastic service - the girls working were very helpful and hospitable. Wasn't too busy on a Wednesday night. Great prices as well! Next time I think I will get two! This was a carry out order. The restaurant is clean inside. Service is friendly. The side of humus with pita was tasty but on the smaller side. We always love a good gyro and while Zorba's is a favourite of ours back when we lived in Indiana, Greek To Me is an old favourite of ours over in Kentucky. They have some very unique takes on gyros as well as other Greek cuisine but they also do the originals very well. I got what was in essence a plain gyro with just the lamb and tzatziki sause on the warm pita bread. The lamb is absolutely fantastic with lots of flavours on it and the sauce is a nice fresh flavour to go on it. The tremendous pita bread makes fro a great base finishing a delicious gyro sandwich. I understand a lot of other people like more things on their gyro like peppers and onions and whatnot and you can get that here but it's just my own preference to get it sauce and meat only. We also got a piece of Tiropita which is feta cheese and herbs wrapped in philo dough and was a delicious side. The service has always been top notch here and the restaurant has never failed to be clean. This is always a quick, inexpensive, and always delicious lunch or dinnertime destination. The gyros are packed with tender and flavorful beef and lamb. They have a large menu with a variety of specialty gyros. And the dip (spicy feta... sorry I forget the formal name) was delicious too. I love a good gyro and they did not disappoint. The food is weighed so it should be consistent with each visit. I could've used a little more tomato onion and sauce. They have some different options available here that aren't at most gyro places. Variety is nice. The service was fast and friendly. The dining room will hold a good amount of people, it didn't seem like they would have a problem with seating no matter how many in your group. They after a lot of takeout too. read more

I've driven past this little spot several times, and finally looked them up on Yelp to see if they were any good. Most reviews were positive, so I made the choice to check it out, and I'm glad I did! I was hoping to order some Falafel to keep it vegan/vegetarian for Earth Day, but upon further examination of their menu, they don't serve Falafel! So I went with their Aegean Chicken Gyro, which was packed full of traditional Greek ingredients like feta, tomato, and cucumber. The chicken was seasoned nicely, and had a great texture. The pita was probably my favorite part. It was soft without being too thick, and had a nice crust on the outside. Plus, when I went to pick up my food, I noticed them cooking these fresh on the grill. I added an extra side of tzatziki because I like a lot of sauce, but I don't think my Gyro really needed it. I also ordered the Greek Fries and the small Greek salad. The fries were cold by the time I got home, but I tossed them up in my air fryer for a few minutes and they were as good as new. They had a light, lemon pepper seasoning on them, which I honestly would have liked a little more of, to really make the flavor pop. The salad was OK - nothing about it really stuck out to me, although the dressing was nice and creamy. I did call ahead to place my order, which was a smart decision since they were busy around lunchtime. Greek To Me was arguably the best gyro I've had in the NKY area! There used to be some really great ones downtown back in the day, but COVID put an end to a lot of them, and coming from NKY it's a tough sell to go all the way downtown to try and find a good one. Greek To Me is just a small restaurant in your standard strip mall, but the staff was super friendly and pleasant and the gyros again were great. "Oma" requested gyro for her 99th birthday party. I could not be happier with Greek to Me. The party was on Sunday so I picked up the food on Saturday. There was plenty of food, it kept well overnight, it was ready on time and of course it was absolutely delicious. Andrea, the manager, was very helpful and even carried the food out to my vehicle. We thought about maybe buying gryo kits since Greek to Me is closed on Sunday, but there's no way you can beat the real thing. Make sure you order ahead of walking in. My order for two salads was a 25 min wait for a Togo. I had a village style salad (No lettuce) and a Greek salad . I also asked for the Greek dressing which was very good. Pricing was very reasonable especially in todays market. Salads were good. My only criticism would be no plastic utensils in the bag( staying in a hotel room). The wait for a salad order being too long. And the pepperocinis were all very small. My wife and I love Greek food and decided to visit here before we went to the Pub for trivia night. We took a few minutes looking over the menu before deciding. My wife got the Aegean Gyro, and we got sides of Spanakopita and Dolmathes. I read through basically every meal description and when pressed for time, picked the Thessalonian. The food all came out rather quickly, and we started with the Dolmathes. We'd recently had stuffed grape leaves for the first time and loved them. The Dolmathes were good, but not amazing. They had a briny taste like kalamata olives that I don't dislike, but was just a bit too strong. We were also surprised that they were cold. Maybe that's traditional or something, but I think they could have been tastier if hot. The only spanakopita I've had was frozen, so I was very excited for them, and they did not disappoint. Crispy, flaky, and a fantastic creamy feta and spinach filling. Delicious. We turned to our Gyros and dove right in. Because I had scanned so much of the menu, I didn't even remember what came on the Thessalonian. In addition to gyro meat, tzatziki, and veggies, it had french fries, ketchup, and mustard. The combination doesn't sound great, but the flavors didn't clash at all. That said, it was not quite as tasty as I hoped. The tzatziki was a little bland--felt like it needed more cucumber and salt--and the gyro meat was super flavorful. I tried a bite of my wife's sandwich, which had chicken, olives, cucumber, feta, lettuce, and tzatziki. The olives and feta were absolutely phenomenal. Juicy, tangy, and bursting with flavor. The chicken, unfortunately, was a bit dry and bland. Overall, the service was great, and the prices were reasonable, but the food didn't astound us. We certainly wouldn't avoid Greek to Me in the future, just not dying to come back. read more

I am so happy this place is still open during this pandemic. You walk in and it smells so delicious. Their menu reminds of my trip to Greece and the food. The inside isn't much but the food is wonderful I got the original gyro and it is stuffed with meat tomatoes and onions. The pita bread was soft and prepared perfectly. I must admit, this place really surprised me! That may not sound all that gratifying, but in all honestly I did not expect their classic gyro to pack such a punch of flavor. The temperature of the meat was perfect, and plenty of it while I'm thinking of it with not a whole lot of filler (my code for tomatoes). It may not appear like there is a lot to consume, but for a large framed man like myself I did not feel hungry when I was finished. Feeling a bit tempted, I also picked up a baklava which was good and hit the sweet spot that I so needed in my early afternoon errand running. Drawback? Not loving the pricing. Seriously, a little over $10 for 1 gyro and 1 baklava. In NYC I could see it, but not in Northern Kentucky. I will return, but will be more selective in what I purchase and will ditch the sweets. read more

I love gyros, and Greek to Me does them right! I grew up on the west side of Cincinnati where Sebastians was king. When moving to NKY, it took me years to find the right gyros. I found them. Besides the great gyros, I love the fries, greak salad, and the baklava. After starting a family, I introduced my boys to the gyro here. Greek to Me has become a special night for me and my boys each week where they get dad time (wife loves the greek salad). The gyros are always hot, full of flavor with fresh tomatoes and onions. We are always in on the evenings, so we are always welcomed by the friendly young ladies behind the counter. Even when they seem to be getting buried with orders, they are always so friendly and there's always a smile. Greek to Me is a fantastic stop for any gyro lover! BUT.. they always run out of Gyro meat on Tuesdays (every week), tonight almost an hour before closing. Hard to run a bogo night and not have enough meat! read more

Arrived about 1:30 PM; restaurant small but busy. Greek salad comes in two sizes, small and large. Though not remarkably big the large is enough for one person and comes with your choice of meat served on a round metal plate. Made with iceberg lettuce, tomato, cucumbers, kalamata olives, house made dressing, pita bread and a very scant amount of feta cheese. Overall Greek to Me is only ok. For a good place I will drive out of my way, but would NOT make a special effort to return here. I like my toppings more generous and NOT served on a metal plate. We had a great takeout meal from Greek to Me recently! The staff was very nice and the food was prepared quickly despite them being busy. They were doing a great job socially distancing and taking care of customers. The gyros were super yummy but we would have liked a little more of the toppings like lettuce and onions. The fries were good too, but we thought they would have had some feta on them like other Greek fries we'd had. All of that said, the food was delicious and we can't wait to go back to try more gyros and hopefully get a cannoli! I wanted to love this salad, but was hugely disappointed when I got home. The tomatoes are not ripe. They're actually super hard and inedible. The iceberg lettuce is the lowest quality you could get has no flavor. The gyro meat is flavorful, pita bread is good, so if I were to come back, I would only try a pita sandwich. 5 stars for the Big George gyro! This gyro has more than 3 times the amount of meat of their classic gyro! The gyro has mixed lamb and beef meat sliced thin served in a pita with fresh tomato and onion! The amazing gyro is topped with a double side of their tasty tzatziki sauce and I also add feta cheese to it! See the picture of the Big George to see how big those cubes of feta are! The gyro is so huge that it's definitely hard to eat without making a mess! If you want a smaller gyro the classic gyro is also excellent!
