Kabobske on Short Vine in Clifton is a gem. I tried the $12.99 three course meal and it was honestly incredible, fast, fresh, and very filling. I had the chicken shawarma with rice and salad, plus soup, and everything tasted incredible. The owner was friendly and really knew the menu, he walked me through options, made a couple recommendations, and I trusted his picks. He nailed it. My favorite things about this place are the options; particularly the sauces, dressings, condiments...even the toppings. Secondly the fries are pretty good, they were still crisp after the drive home. Also, portion sizes are well worth the money. I still couldn't finish my pita after my son had taken out some of the meat for himself. Not the best Mediterranean food I've had, but everything works and invites a good experience! Good food, great service, and reasonably priced. This is only the second time I've ever been to a Kabobske and very much will go again. The staff was accommodating, patient (I had a large order), and took their time to make my food the right way. I had a steak bowl, my wife had a steak wrap, and my kid had the steak melt. All were fantastic options and had great flavor! I was a huge fan of the pita chips and hummus. The french fries were not that impressive and will certainly try a different side next time. I recommend the place if you're looking for healthier eating options that will still fill you up. Bring some quarters because it is street parking. Long story short, I will be back to Kabobske. I have been craving falafel, but didn't really know of a place to get any, then this popped up. Talk about incredible timing lol. They not only have falafel, but they have a wide menu of different proteins and toppings. You can even get loaded fries! There's something here for everyone. But besides that, the service was great. Yes! Yelp! Yes! What a great lil place! I went on an event for yelp to try and not I'm glad I did. This spot is in the heart of Clifton. The gentleman who helped me was very polite (like yes ma'am no ma'am polite) he explained everything to me as I'm new to the mediterranean food world! The Tzatziki sauce was really really good and the mama ghanoush had a kick I liked! Let me tell you do not go there without trying the baklava OMG! So good so sweet and nutty and gooey! This is a Mediterranean Chipotle. Not the most authentic, but seriously delicious!!!!! COVID: Masks required. Indoor dining available. Regular plates & bowls used but disposable utensils. I ordered a (white bread) wrap. I tried their Kabobske Sauce which was just hummus + carrots. I did chicken & gyro for my meat... it was all awesome!!!! Huge and filling sandwich. My husband got a bowl (he's gluten free) and loved their meat with the spicy tzatziki sauce. He was starving when we got there and left absolute stuffed! The portions are incredibly generous for the price! We both got grape leaves as a side and they're perfect! They reminded me of grape leaves my grandma use to make. Everything was super yummy and the staff was incredibly helpful (letting us sample and give recommendations). We will absolutely be back!!! read more

Well... simply put, the lunch I just picked up from Kabobskes on Short Vine was delicious. I called in my order and they were super understanding with all my questions, because I tend to ask more than the average person. My wife says I talk too much but this is how you get details on what they offer from the listed menu but also suggestions from the person who answered the phone on what they think is very good to them and what is popular. We used to have an eatery by my work called Rombes, like forever ago, that was torn down to erect a CityBBQ. It's not like I don't like BBQ but I do enjoy some decent Greek food. Nothing better than some gyro meat, lettuce, banana peppers and some tzatziki(sp?) sauce... Mmmm... So as you already are aware, I got the gyro wrap, a side of bread w/hummus with a good amount of evoo, a small Greek salad and they all were fantastic. New Mediterranean restaurant in Corryville is a great new addition to the area! Mediterranean flavors, knowledgeable and friendly owner, variety of choices, hearty portions and affordable prices. The gyro wrap was enormous, but different type of gyro meat than I've had in the past - which was the same with the shawarma. It wasn't bad, just not what I'm used to getting at Sebastians or Baba's. The hummus was delicious and extremely garlicky. The fries were a little soggy which is likely due to the transportation time it took to get home and eat them, but also lacked seasoning and were overall "meh". The baklava was more chewy and less crisp than we're used to, but still a flavorful sweet treat. Overall a solid 3 stars (based on previous Mediterranean experiences and also with the knowledge that Sebastians is within walking distance to me and baba shawarma is a 5 minute drive away!) I do think residents of Corryville and UC college students will be pleased with this new addition! read more

I really enjoyed my meal at Kabobske! I had a salad with lamb, baba ghanoush, feta, and a bunch of veggies. I like that I get to pick what I want on my salad. I think I made the perfect combo, imo. The hummus and pita was good. The hummus was a little sweet which was surprising, but I enjoyed it. The falafel was very good, but I didn't enjoy the dipping sauce. Instead, I dipped it in my hummus. Can an especially good coupon net you, just barely, that extra Yelp star??? Yes! Kabobske is the worst place to go seeking to impress anyone with your knowledge of Middle Eastern food, any aspect of it, other than how to franchise it with an assembly line kind of like a Chipotle, which every one does these days. Then cover for lack of business since your franchise is me'h compared to authentic places all over Clifton/Corryville, and literally on the other end of Short Vine being especially noteworthy ($25 Dinner Sampler Platter). This all said, they offer a monster gyro two-for-one coupon in Bearcat Cash, which is available in a newstand box practically across the street from them. So eight dollars buys you the equivalent of 'something different' from your standard chipotle, and putting these two factors together it's worthwhile, once in a while. read more

Disclaimer: I am not familiar/hardly ever eat Mediterranean food and this was my first taste of it in years. Take my words with a grain of salt from here on as someone who isn't an expert on Mediterranean fare. I've never been a fan to be honest. The reason I stumbled upon Kabobske was through a Yelp partnership. I didn't have any real expectations for the food but I was pleasantly surprised. For someone who's last bite of gyro and pita was probably in my preteen years, Kabobske's was exceptionally satisfying. I got a wrap that also came with two sides and some baklava (also something I just recently learned about) and for a quick and cheap, hearty portion, I was super pleased. Kabobske's is now my go-to for fast and easy Mediterranean food (and not just by default lol). Thanks to them, I may actually start craving Mediterranean food and expand my horizons for other similar options. If you're looking to get your feet wet with all the Mediterranean has to offer near you, hopefully I've convinced you with my inexperienced palate that Kabobske's is right for you. read more

The place is open during the COVID times and taking measures to safely serve people, which is great. The owner is great too, he took time to explain everything. The prices are pretty reasonable for bowl and wraps. The only reason I could not give it a higher rating is its food. It is decent but not the best. Meat and hummas were not fresh, neither the tahini. They tasted bit on the sour side, which is not how it should be if it's fresh. I wish I had loved it enough to go back. read more
