    Lamb/Beef shawarma combo with chicken

FIRE!!! This is in the hood but all the great spots are in the hood. I will definitely be coming back to this spot for sure.

    Chicken Shawarma Combo with rice.

The service was great! The Chicken shawarma combo was the lunch I ordered today. The sandwich came on a freshly cooked pita bread. The chicken was well seasoned and the garlic potatoes were the highlight of the meal for me! I highly recommend Al Madina Grill!!!

Al Medina Grill has amazing food with AMAZING flavors. I order for lunch and trust me it was enough food for two meals. My Chicken Shawrma Combo was amazing, filling of flavors and very fresh. I will definitely be ordering food again!

    Falafel Sandwich

I got the falafel wrap and sesame cookies with date stuffing. I'll give 5 stars for the quality and taste of the food. Wrap's bread was home made and grilled to perfection. The falafel and the sauces were on-point. There isn't any other place in the area that makes better falafel. The sesame cookies were so good too! They weren't too sweet and a good treat. There isn't really any seating in there so it's a pick up place. Parking: There is a paid parking lot next to the restaurant.

If you've been to UC, you know this gem of a place. Al-madeena hits the spot. Fair warning: this is essentially a takeout establishment. There are seats to have your food, but it's not a dining experience in any way. I came in with friends and got the Falafel sandwich. My friends got Chicken shawarma. Being essentially fast food, the wrap was ready immediately. None of us were shy and got it spicy. And oh my God - so good! They didn't skimp on the falafels or tahini. It was a good wrap. My friend asked for garlic sauce and they just gave us some. For $8, this was a good meal! For drinks, they do have most soda and juice options up for purchase. I also spotted packaged cookies and baklavas in case anyone wanted to buy them. Parking is limited to on street parking and I've never not found parking there. The folks working there are cordial and nice. No problems ever with service.

    Lamb Shank (Friday Only)

Quick take out food with phenomenal Friday Lamb Shank. Pros: Quick, quality, great price, friendly staff, lamb shank Friday's. Cons: None Got a quick dinner last night and on Friday they have off menu Lamb Shank. It was huge, juicy, and wonderfully flavored at 16$. Staff is always friendly and explain any questions about the food. GF got the sandwich combo and all the combos come with lots of sides. Amazing spot on campus that I highly recommend any day of the week.

The food is incredible! We ordered a variety to-go and the quality, taste and portions were more than we imagined. Chicken shawarma, tabbouleh, grape leaves, red cabbage and baba gannouji with fresh pita.

One of the best, if not THE best, restaurants in Cincinnati. The food is unbelievably delicious; you can't go wrong ordering anything on their menu. My personal favorites are the chicken shwarma sandwich and the vegetarian platter. The baba ganoush is out of this world as well. My only recommendation would be, if you go at the end of the day and notice the meat is at the bottom of the pan, order a vegetarian dish because sometimes the meat gets dried out. But the vegetarian dishes are excellent so it's a win either way!

    Fun zero proof beverages

The best chicken sandwich in Cincinnati and perhaps the world is at this unassuming restaurant-chicken shawarma with everything on it (including spicy sauce). This sandwich comes in beautiful, freshly- made pita bread with perfectly- seasoned chicken, and ample lettuce, tomato, and onion. It is both delicious enough that I want to finish the whole thing and big enough that I can't. I'm sure the rest of the menu is great too- I just can't get past how good this sandwich is! I also love that there is a cooler full of interesting zero proof drinks in the back, so you can get something besides the usual soft drink to enjoy with the best sandwich eva. Service is efficient and friendly and you can take out or eat at the counter in the back.

Service: 4.7/5 Very friendly! They course out your plates for you which I always love. They were able to accommodate my pescatarian diet (I.e., meats on the side to give to others at the table). On a less busy night, they offered a free toast for my birthday. I've been for other celebratory dinners here on busier nights where that hasn't happened, so it was a lovely surprise! Ambiance: 4/5 A little busy and can get loud on the weekends with table chatter, cutlery clinks, and the brick walls echoing noise around. Tables are also close together, so you can definitely hear the conversation next to you. The decor is pleasant and the lighting is soft and romantic enough that it is still a perfect date night spot! There are also a couple larger crescent booths for larger parties.

We ended up ordering: Appetizers: Baba ghannouge M'hammara Taverna falafel Dinner: Shawarma chicken Kebab mixed grill Drinks: Chateau kefraya, Les Bretches Almaza Pilsner My favorite from the appetizers is the eggplant and falafel! Super fresh and the bread that came with it was so good. Even the dipping sauce was amazing. My Shawarma chicken was super delish. You have to put the garlic butter on the rice! It gives it great flavor. My Mr enjoyed his meal as well. We definitely had to get a to go box because there was so much food. But we will look forward the next day to eat it. We are in town visiting and we went there for a nice meat meal after several days of dairy on the road. There were 6 of us at the table with 2 children. If I lived in town I would not be going back. They had 1 waitress working the entire place. She was kind enough but all she did was make excuses. We sat down at 6:15 and we did not get our hummus appetizer, which apparently they ran out of soon after, until 7:15. When we arrived there was only 2 tables occupied so it was not bustling. I am not sure how or why it took so long to prepare Hummus but given the ingredients I could have scratch cooked our entire meals in a fraction of that time. Again, when we arrived there were 2 other tables of 2 and maybe 1-2 small orders picked up during out time there. During our visit they had several more groups come in, some served before us, some getting the constant refrain, "we are out of this." It seems like there was 1 chef in the kitchen preparing all the food on their own. It is also highly problematic that they had 2 small children sitting there for an hour with not even a little bread or anything. We had to push the waitress to get the hot dogs out so they would calm down. As for the food, most of it was OK. The ribeye was properly cooked. The braised short rib was tender with a little wine flavor. The kids hot dogs were hot dogs. The chicken schwarma was flavorful. The Israeli salad was what you would expect. The green beans were overcooked, unseasoned and tasted like nothing. The worst and most impressive thing was how they got the mashed potatoes to taste like they came from a powder out of a box. I don't often leave something completely uneaten but they were inedible. How you can serve a $50 steak with such artificial swill is beyond me. I get it, they are the only option. Fail!
