Findlay Market is one of the best gems in Cincinnati. Such a neat historic place to shop and hang out. Great vibes and equally great places to shop and dine. If you haven't been or if your just in town , Findlay Market is a must place to check out

Loved this market! Such a great spot in downtown Cincinnati - reminded me quite a bit of the market in Boston. Lots of different vendors for food, flowers, coffee and other goods. This is Ohio's oldest continuously operated market and somehow I didn't know it existed! Everyone working the vendor stalls was very friendly and knowledgeable and this will be a frequent stop anytime I am in Cincinnati.

A Hidden Gem in the Queen City -- Findlay Market Shines Bright If you're ever exploring Cincinnati, Ohio, and find yourself craving a place brimming with flavor, charm, and community spirit, take the trip to Findlay Market in the historic Over-the-Rhine neighborhood. It may be a diamond in the rough, but oh, how it sparkles. Findlay Market is one of those rare places that immediately gives you that feel-good buzz the moment you step inside. Though it's smaller than some of the big-city markets, its compact size is part of the charm. In fact, it reminded me of what Cleveland's West Side Market used to be--authentic, vibrant, and full of local soul. This place is alive with energy and bursting with the creativity of passionate chefs, bakers, butchers, and artisans who are making real food and goods from scratch, on-site, every single day. Let's talk vendors--because they're truly the heartbeat of the market. One of the standouts for me was Maker Baker, a delightful little bakery stand serving up golden-brown sourdoughs and pastries that are as beautiful as they are delicious. The staff here were exceptional--friendly, warm, and clearly proud of the work they do. That personal touch made all the difference. Another favorite was the Gourmand Group, where the creativity of the salads on display caught our eye instantly--fresh, colorful, and made with care. You could tell there was real culinary thought behind every bowl. As we made our way through the market, we noticed a few spots drawing big crowds--the Mexican food stand, with its sizzling aromas, and the gelato counter, where the creamy sweetness was flying out by the scoop. It's not just about food, though. Just outside the market's walls, rows of booths offer everything from local produce and potted plants to homeopathic creams, oils, and lotions. There's something here to spark the curiosity of any passerby. Beyond the stalls, we wandered a bit through the surrounding blocks and were pleased to find some cute little shops and boutiques sprinkled around the market, adding even more charm to the area. Now, let's talk about what isn't as shiny--because no place is perfect. Parking can be a challenge. Street parking is tight, especially on weekends, so we were glad we found a garage a few blocks away. It's worth the short walk for the peace of mind. And it would be unfair not to mention the reality of the neighborhood. The area around the market has its struggles, including a visible homeless population, which may make some visitors feel uneasy. We did encounter people asking for change on the benches and sidewalks. That said, a polite "no thank you" or "sorry, no change" was enough, and there were no problems. What gave me hope was seeing the community working together to revitalize the area. There's a soup kitchen nearby offering support to those in need, and several empty storefronts are slowly beginning to fill with new businesses and energy. Change is happening, and it feels like the market is helping lead the charge. So, if you're in Cincinnati and want to support local makers, eat something incredible, and explore a slice of the city's heart and history--Findlay Market is absolutely worth the visit. Come with curiosity, kindness, and a little cash to support some talented entrepreneurs. Let's celebrate what's growing here--because even in the rough, this diamond is dazzling. Take the Trip, your Next Adventure is waiting.

Cute market! One of several prime Cincinnati destinations perfect for tourists and locals. The indoor/outdoor market primarily sells food and drink with a few outdoor stalls selling housewares and apparel. Street parking is challenging at times but the nearby Findlay Parking garage offers covered parking spaces with a daily rate of $3 for the first hour. I've attached a picture of the daily rate schedule if you plan on staying past an hour.

So many new things added to Findley market since I've last visited. Yee Mamas now has their own little spot inside... of course i needed to visit my favorite Bread shop the blue oven Bakery, had the best pesto focaccia bread and also tried their homemade pretzels which are out out of this world. Also stopped at Bee Haven for my local honey splurge. And picked up some maple blueberry breakfast sausage links, which I have not tried yet. It was a beautiful day to bring the dogs and leisurely walk around looking at all the new things. All the places I stopped had friendly prompt service, which I always enjoy.

Came to check out the market and it was kind of crowded. Not busy, just a crowded space that made it hard to get around. Inside mostly smelled mostly bad unless you were right next to a food vendor with a really good strong fragrance from their food. Wasn't much to check out and wasn't impressed. Parking is atrocious here to boot. Can't say I'd have bothered if I knew what it was like. May be for some people who like to meander slowly and enjoy bad smells as long as they can find some food to buy. Clearly not for me.

I been wanting to visit Findaly since I moved down to Ohio and I had finally got that chance too. It was cold so the stores on the outside and surrounding were not open I'm guessing. But the actual market itself was open. When I walked it it was a lot of meat stands and butcher shops. I was walking past a stand when this brown butter sweet potato cornbread caught my eye at one of the ladies stands. Don't quote me on the name but I think it was called Grammas something. But the cornbread did not disappoint . There was two big pieces for $6 which was a pretty good deal considering the bread cuts are big and thick. There was also a gelato shop in there a few bakeries and like stores to sho local. I had also got some banana pudding from makers bakers co. Now I'm usually skeptical with buying banana pudding from everywhere because nowadays people don't know how to make it properly BUT Makers Bakers.... ‍instead of cookies they put like cake at the bottom and it does not mess up the flavor or texture or anything it was perfect . I tried their bourbon caramel banana pudding which is what they are known for and it did not disappoint

If this was marketed as a "farmers market-esque" type of place from the locals who told me to come I would consider 4 stars. I was told to come hungry, as there is plenty of food to try. I was kind of underwhelmed by the ready to go food options. We enjoyed the fudge stand inside, great service. I wish there was more. This felt more like but what you want to eat at home type of deal. Maybe I have to come again during summer.

I heard that this had really nice vibes and some will still must dry items in Cincinnati so had to make a trip here. Definitely had a lovely vibe on a weekend afternoon. There was people playing music outside and everything was nice and bustling and just a very lively place to be. Quite a lot of vendors inside and around. Lot of people buying groceries to items for the week and I can totally see why because everything look really fresh and authentic.

I walked in through the doors of the Church and found a smallish set-up with tables stocked with wares from various farmers and food producers. Fab Ferments was my first stop where I had utterly sublime Kimchi. Their juniper caraway saurkraut was super tasty too. I spoke with one of the two business partners of the fermented food operation and it was a pleasure to speak to the fellow who made the food I was enjoying so much. His affected hippiesque speaking style was appreciated, not overwhelming and lent authenticity to the experience. I was, after all, chowing down on rotting vegetables. But rotting in a truly remarkable way. Flute music was being played by another guy at a nearby table, and it seems that music is scheduled for proper marketing ambiance. The website lists some of the products to expect, but microgreens, honey, various root vegetables, gourmet cookies, spices and herbs, apples and other stuff I'm forgetting are there for your shopping convenience. As with most farmers' markets, bring cash. Wednesdays from 4-7:30pm. Street parking and probably lot parking available, though I walked it.

We were in on a Sunday around 1. So pretty typical biz hours? They are a curated mini-market of sorts making a home for niche locally made products like honey, jam, kombucha, coffee and sauces. I get the idea - and I appreciate it, I really do. I'm actually doing an event series called Cincy Made with nearly every vendor in this shop. I am a die hard supporter of local. But the part I don't get is what makes this shop any different from anything else? And that is straight up honest feedback. I am not trying to be mean, just an observation. There are just so many places that carry these locally made products now (especially at Findlay!) I just feel like they are going to have to do something different to separate themselves if they want to stay open longterm. I cannot see myself making a special trip here because most of what they have, I can just pick up where I am already doing my local shopping.

They are dedicated to their…read morecustomers and I feel like I'm always surprised/impressed by the variety of items offered in this small space. Some of the highlights of my experiences: -Location labeling/Local spending. Most all of the produce is labeled with its origin which helps me feel better. Sometimes, you just need an avocado, and while it may not have been grown local, at least I can feel good about my money staying local. -Small (and large) quantities available. It is here you can buy a single stalk of celery. I LOVE this. Sometimes, you just need a carrot or stalk of celery for a recipe and this is the place to get it (for fifteen cents). I can seriously find almost any produce that I need here-though I haven't tried it, this also seems like a place that would order a large quantity for you if you had a need. And you can always ask if you don't find what you need and Mr. Madison will let you know either where it is or why they don't have it. -Dry goods. Easily missed, behind the counter and back wall, they have a fairly expansive stock of dry grains, nuts, the like (even vanilla beans at Christmas). The staff are happy to help you with whatever it may be-a quarter cup of quinoa or 4 pounds of oats. This makes it super easy to try new things, or again, source a recipe. -Staff/Proprietors. The staff are always super helpful and attentive. This place can get busy and crowded, and it could get easy to get frustrated as a staff person in that environment. But, it my experience, they do what they can to help everyone quickly and direct new comers of the order of the line, or spend time getting your list of 43 bulk dry goods. The only point that might annoy newcomers is that this place is a bit small, and on a Saturday morning (especially in winter) it can get crowded. (PS the line starts in the back-see the sign hanging from the ceiling.) But, here's a tip-I've never tried it, but I do certainly have a bookmark from them that advertises that you can call in your order ahead of time during the week. Some day, I imagine I might be organized enough to do this. Also, during most of the summer, they have a tent outside with the larger quantities of seasonal produce which alleviates the crowd.
