I needed to get some pumpkins for a pumpkin carving party and I also wanted to make applesauce to can, again this year. What better place to go than McGlasson Farms! We were able to pick our own pumpkins and I got a 1/2 bushel of apples to make my own applesauce (which is seriously too easy). The staff was super amazing and helping us know what to do, where to go, etc. Who doesn't love going to an actual farm for pumpkins and apples? That's what the fall is about! I will definitely go back to McGlasson Farm again in the future. It's also cool to ride the Anderson Ferry back to Ohio when you're done. read more

I've been here before, but never did the pick your own berries. The lady at the counter was very nice and helpful. You pay after you collect your berries. Keep in mind they only accept cash and Venmo!!! Just stop at the counter and they will give you a cardboard box. The area for picking is very large. There are even areas across the road you can walk to. I'm always curious so I asked at the counter about the types of pesticide/sprays they use. The lady said it wasn't her place, she just works there, but she knows they spray some kind of stuff, just not sure what. She said they do try to use the least toxic stuff they can get by with, but we could always try to talk to one of the owners at a later time. I just did a really good water/vinegar bath when I got them home before putting them up. I like that the place is pretty local and not overpriced. It would be a great date idea or just to go with some family. They have other pick your own options throughout the year, so be sure to check them out! read more

Updated: 09/21/25...Might be Bias and can't wait to come back, but getting engaged here made this a 5/5 spot for me! We came here a few years ago and loved it and coming back for such a big moment in our life was great. I love the orchard because it is the perfect place for a fall date! The owners were helpful to my fiancé when he was planning this entire thing! They also had awesome fresh produce for sale as well. Support small businesses! read more

This orchard was middle-of-the-road in my opinion. This is one of the closest farms that has u-pick apples near Cincinnati and that was the draw for my group. Driving there is easy and the last ten minutes of the drive are beautiful through the winding road with great foliage and views of the river. The parking is right off the road and close to the market area. The market has a lot of produce, some cider, and caramel apples- I'd been hoping to find some baked goods but there were none. There's an area of pumpkins and paths to all the different u-pick fields. For apples you buy the bag before heading out. It was $30 (cash or Venmo) for a bushel which is double what I paid for at a different orchard last year, so a little pricey. The bag also can fit and support more than it looks. You take a little trek out to the orchard and there are rows and rows of apple trees, some were labeled at the end of the row but most were not. I believe the ones labeled were the ones that were ready for picking but we only saw signs for red delicious, wine sap, and then Jonathan's were way at the top and labeled in the middle of the row. I would've appreciated a map and/or better/more labeling. Overall, it was a decent experience. read more

If you only read one line of this review, let it be this: McGlasson Farms is cash only!! Plan ahead - and make sure to have at least $20 on hand per person in your party (for produce and other market goodies) U-Pick Farms are the epitome of autumn for me ... and how cool that this NKY destination offers both apples AND pumpkins!! We visited in early September to take a look at their apple selection, and we brought our dog along for the trip. We had a lot of fun wandering through the orchard - and would highly recommend this as a fun date or family-friendly activity. The location is also great - just a bit further than CVG. As far as being cash/check only ... it's certainly inconvenient, but a visit is still totally worth it if you plan ahead! Shame on us for not double checking before driving all the way out here ... we had to hit up an ATM at a nearby UDF after realizing our blunder. One bag of U-Pick apples is $25, which seems reasonable given that you're also paying for the experience. We decided to purchase some of their homemade maple syrup as well - and my fiancé and I both agreed that it's some of the best we've ever had. We're planning to return in a few weeks to pick a pumpkin! read more

Great family farm to visit anytime of the year. During the fall be sure to check out the sunflowers, apples and cider! The service is friendly, plenty of parking and the farm decorations make great backdrops for photos. Take a walk, show the store for fresh favorites or pose around the farm for great photos. Absolutely gorgeous every where you look. read more

We bought tasty veggies and fruits. Very fresh. Scenic road makes it worth the trip from the city.

Perfect for u-pick. I have an 8 & 11 year old and they are not into all the cheesy rides and stuff at the other farms. This was straight to the point. Friendly service. Don't forget cash or check only. read more

Good apples and other produce! Went several times but missed out in the peach harvest this time.lots of different apples!

Amazing place! I Would definitely recommend! Very family friendly and oriented! Great for family and kids to attend and have a day of fun!

Of course it's fall and we decided to go apple picking. We saw signs that we had to use their bag, but that was it. So we were looking around for their bags, and didn't see any. We didn't want to wait in the cashier line if we didn't have to, so I asked the lady about the bags, and she said to just get in line. I understand you're busy, but the whole process isn't very clear at all, so there's no reason to be short with people. We get to the front of the line, and they're out of bags, so they just give us a brown grocery bag. You prepay $30 to fill the bag. After paying, you walk across the street to the orchard. I should have asked for a refund immediately. The old orchard they use is not taken care of at all. The trees look like garbage and are completely overgrown. The apples, well what's left of them, are tiny, full of bug holes, and are pretty tasteless. You could fill a bag, but the apples are basically unusable. If you walk far enough in the old orchard you'll see the orchard they use for their apples, and it's beautiful. We felt everything was extremely overpriced and was quite a bit worse in quality from what you find at the grocery store. read more

My review here needs updating to say this place is still just as great as the first time I came a few years ago. Keep an eye on their social media for updates on current produce availability, special events, and changing hours with the seasons. This family loves what they do and is proud of their homegrown product! Take a nice ride along the river on a beautiful day to this adorable family farm. I usually make my pilgrimages in the fall but they have great stuff spring/summer too! It's all grown by them. First and foremost this is the best cider outside of upstate NY. Its always fresh. I've tried much of their produce including peaches, green peppers, acorn squash, apples, potatoes, and sweet potatoes. Their tomatoes are divine. Dont forget to pick out a pumpkin whether its from their already picked patch, to walking through the field for just the right one. Everyone i've ever encountered working here is friendly and welcoming. On weekends during the fall they often have live music and apple fritters. Bring cash because thats all they accept! Prices are reasonable for the high quality! read more

I love summertime and eating healthy and McGlasson sure helps me do it. They have so many tomatoes right off the vine heirloom and grape sweet tomatoes. Also peaches potatoes cucumbers eggplant and zucchini to name a few. They sell lots of homemade jellies black raspberry spicy jalapeño and many more. Make sure you visit during pumpkin season. We went to the farm mid winter for a tree tapping demo where they show you how they tap the trees to harvest maple syrup. They were serving hot apple cider at the time.l and they took pre-orders for the maple syrup when they would be ready later on. We ordered two maple syrup bottles and picked them up a month or two later. The syrup tastes great. The farm is in a great location in Hebron, KY. Convenient to get to. Being a small locally owned farm it was nice to get a locally made maple syrup. They also have events throughout the year that include fruit and vegetable picking and sales so definitely will be going back again. read more

Very cute farm with a clean produce stand. We visited to buy pumpkins, but we also picked some tomatoes and apples. The weather that day was awful, but otherwise they offered some hay rides and caramel apples & drinks, so you could make it a half-day outing with your family. I was able to pick some huge pumpkins and was happy with my visit. Important: THEY ONLY TAKE CASH, so come prepared. read more

Pumpkin patch (with pumpkins pre-picked) Sunflower field (with all kind of different sunflowers) Apple orchard Garden This just can't get better!! I got all of the things and had the most wonderful time. They even had eggplants still growing that were dying and I picked them because I just couldn't stand for them to die and go unnoticed. The staff didn't mind at all and were happy to know they were still producing! The apples were a great price, I got to pick a pumpkin off the vine (they charge by weight, so get a small pumpkin if you don't want to pay more money for it), the sunflowers were $2/stem, and I don't know what they charged for the eggplant, but the pricing was all very fair. I did notice on their website they have a CSA - love!! If you're in the area you should totally consider signing up for a CSA. I have loved my CSA experiences (with other farmers, but based off of my experience at the farm, I'm sure it would be a great experience). read more

This was my first time apple picking and I was so happy to not have to drive hours away. It costs $25 per bag for the u-pick. They had an amazing variety of trees planted and they were all producing plenty of apples. The little farmers market also had an amazing selection of produce and goodies. We left with caramel apples, apple cider, and pure maple syrup. Looking forward to making this experience a family tradition each year! read more

I have been to McGlasson farms twice to Date. They are friendly and their produce is top-notch. The first time I was just exploring and checking out what they had to offer. It ranges from fresh vegetables and fruits to jams and honeys and a few other goodies. The second time I went back for upick blackberries. Oh my goodness it was so much fun. As I was walking along the rows of Blackberry bushes, I overheard a father talking with his four-year-old daughter about picking the blackberries and then turning them into cobbler served with ice cream. She was so excited about the blackberries she was finding and he was so excited about what they would turn into for dessert that evening. Funny that I was thinking along the lines of that father. I picked the best blackberries ever that turned into a blackberry cobbler my family raved over. The farms are located on the Ohio River which makes it Even more special. Mcglaason offers upick which ranges from strawberries, blueberries, blackberries to apples and pumpkins. EnJoy the mcglasson farms experience of being immersed in nature and then enjoying the Bounty later around the table with family and friends! Oh and I have to add that the price is phenomenally cheap compared to what you would pay for the berries In The Local grocery store. read more

Four stars because of the prices! $4 caramel apples, no nuts. (And soggy ) This place is nice, still somewhat country. There is a lot of variety in produce, jellies, jams and apple or pumpkin butter! Can't wait to try! I'm a local, so I can see they are headed in the direction of Kinman Farms - very popular so why not capitalize. The issue here is, there are a ton of local business to support that appreciate their customers and keep cost reasonable. I really enjoyed it here, brought my kids and grandma too, but honestly idk if I'd come back. I got the goodies and spent over $120. read more

My fiance and I have been here 2 years in a row in october for pumpkin picking. They have plenty of parking and no end of crops to pick from. Everyone here is super kind and being pet friendly is a huge plus for us. They also serve hot apple cider at their market near the front that can't be passed up. They have out door seating for anyone who just wants to sit and enjoy the view of the sunflowers too. Highly recommend read more

The staff was not friendly. We paid to pick apples to bake with but the selection was not good. Instead of just letting us grab the apples from the front that were cheaper than the ones we originally paid to pick, we were told tough luck. Do not recommend this place. read more

As the fall approaches we decided to change up our pumpkin and apple picking this season. we chose McGlasson gor several reasons. one was the location and parking. you don't have to walk far to get to the Apple or the pumpkins. we also loved the pricing. everything was fairly priced and the lovely attendants at checkout were helpful making sure we had everything and made the process seamless. There is no entry feee which was a bonus as we have a large family and they provided pumpkins carts for toting them around the farm. they also had a lovely sunflower field where you can cut them or just take photos with them. The apples were fresh and the pumpkins were aplenty. We will definitely be returning and recommending to all our friends and family! read more

On an idyllic stretch of scenic Route 8 along the Ohio River sits McGlasson Farms fresh fruit and vegetable stand. I've enjoyed this place since my grandmother would take me there as a child. On the weekends during the summers, this place can be packed with shoppers picking out unblemished zucchini, watermelons, tomatoes, green beans, corn, and potatoes. In the fall, you can grab bags of freshly plucked apples that are cheaper and taste better than those imported to your local chain grocery store. My favorite thing about McGlasson's is that the folks selling the goods are also the people that grew them. They give great pointers like which tomatoes make the best salsa and which apples should go into your apple pie. Around Halloween, their pumpkin selection is enormous, and don't be surprised if you see a couple that look like they need to be in Guinness Book of World Records. If you're getting there from the West Side, take the Anderson Ferry for a scenic country drive. read more

This is our go-to place for picking our pumpkin and getting some delicious apples. We start by driving out Route 8, enjoying the scenic views along the river. If you arrive early, it's usually not very crowded, and you can grab an apple fritter(which don't last long). Just to set expectations, there aren't a lot of activities for kids outside of picking pumpkins, but that's the main draw for me. There's enough to do between picking a pumpkin, taking pictures on the hay bails, and drinking some cider to keep a family occupied without having to spend copious amounts of money. They have pre-picked pumpkins near the road, but you should definitely grab a wagon and head back to the field to pick your own. Also, they are cash only. read more

Everything we bought was great! We only spent $21 for apples, apple cider and apple danishes. Everything tasted wonderful. My apples were crisp and fresh. The winestrap apple was my choice. I asked about the four different apples they were selling because I didn't want to get a cooking apple. They still pumpkins, peppers, potatoes, cider, carmel apples, baked goods and other things. The pumpkin doughnuts were gone. The apple fritters are great. I have a feeling they purchase these elsewhere because when I asked about the pumpkin doughnuts, they said, they wished they had gotten more. They have family members all over that farm. I feel like they have a shoplifting problem because they were watching people like hawks. read more

McGlasson Farms is the quintessential roadside family-owned farm. I needed pumpkins to carve and was told of McGlasson farms through Yelp messageboards and friends of mine alike. My boyfriend and I decided to drive the 25+ minutes to the farm on a very sunny and seasonally warm Saturday in October. It was exactly what we wanted to see, and more. Not only is the trip to the farm great (very scenic drive along route 8 in KY) but the farm has everything! We got carving pumpkins, apple cider, a caramel apple, a bushel of apples, and took a nice stroll through the pumpkin patch before we left. Though busy, it wasn't chaotic, and the staff is so friendly. I plan on coming back to the farm for my local produce needs, especially when the weather permits a beautiful drive along the Ohio. read more

Apple picking was really fun and affordable. Just $25 for a huge bag; will probably never make the long drive to Georgetown again.

My husband and I stumbled upon this place a few years ago in search of local fresh apples for fall, and omg we hit the jackpot! The store front is small, but their product is top notch! They have a mixture of fresh fruits and vegetables, and during the fall they have pumpkins to pick from! They have the best apple cider (made right there on the farm, you can peek your head into the back barn and see their cider operation), and caramel apples. The caramel is fresh, and the apples they use are the best I've ever had. They were so crisp but also juicy we asked which one of their many kinds of apples they used and they are the winesap apples. You have to try one, you'll be hooked. They are great to eat right away, or they also cook well. It's not fall without a winesap apple crisp. We go and buy them in a huge bushel now every year. They also have a small Amish food stand across the way that has spreads and jellies. You must sample the peanut butter spread, it's so good! Other than the store front, field of pumpkins, and a few places to sit, you won't find much else there. I wouldn't say you could entertain yourself or your family there for an entire day, but it's definitely a 2 hour must-do trip. We make sure to go at least once a year! read more

I've been going to McGlasson Farms since I was a kid. Every year, my mom would take us on the Anderson Ferry across the river and we would enjoy the scenic drive along the Ohio to McGlasson's. I've carried on this tradition with my friends, and we are heading to McGlasson's this weekend for our yearly trip! At McGlasson's, you can grab a wagon and head into the pumpkin patch to pick yourself a pumpkin, or you can peruse the bushles of apples and other produce as well as jams, butters, honey, apple cider, etcetera available for purchase. There are often bands playing at McGlasson's on the weekends during the fall as well. McGlassons definitely has a special place in my heart and I will continue to visit as often as I can. I encourage you to do the same =) read more

Amen to zero commercialization! If you are looking for a nice place to pick out a pumpkin this is the spot. I have been coming here every fall for the past 7 years. They have produce, flowers, gourds, cider and a few other things for sale. This place has more of a roadside produce vibe than a highly produced Halloween farm. Both great in their own right, but this place is just a little gem. They weigh your pumpkins. Oh and cash only! read more

We visited the farm last weekend and had a very enjoyable time. When we got home and I cut apples up to make crisp I was sorely disappointed! While I was there I asked if I could have a sample of one of their apples and the lady said they would not give any samples. They highly recommended these apples for baking and when I cut into everyone of them they were like foam and tasteless! I cooked them up since they raved about what great apples they were for baking and they turned to mush! Additionally the 1.50 pumpkin doughnut I purchased there was found in Kroger and they were six for 299. Next year I will head to Reed Valley Orchards because they give samples of everyone of their apples and you pick them yourselves. It's a bit longer drive but definitely worth it. read more

Love this place for fresh fruit and vegetables in season- the staff is fantastic and very kind and knowledgeable!

This is just a good old fashioned produce farm. We have been going here for over 20 years. They have a nice variety of produce- vegetables and fruit they grow onsite. From peaches to apples, pumpkins, green beans, tomatoes. If you check out their website, it will show the growing season and availability.
