Yo!!! I have never had lamb chops like these!!! You guys have to try these out. They are tender and grilled to perfection with crispness on the edges. I also wished they gave you 1 or 2 more since you're paying close to $30. I also tried the lamb shank and the fish (pompano). Both were out of this world!!! I also tried the mantoo. I believe they were dumplings that were filled with meat and lentils. These were really feeling. I thought these were ok. The only con about this was the wait for the food. I was skeptical at first because of lack of cars upon arrival and never before hearing about this place. I was looking for something different and feeling adventurous. No disappointments in service, as they immediately and warmly greeted me. I had some questions about a few menu items and the owner was quick to answer and offer suggestions. I decided on Chicken Korma and falafel. The owner said I would really enjoy the falafel and informed me it is traditional Jordanian style. It was so good! The Chicken Korma surprised me at how fresh and flavorful it was....I even brought some home for a later meal! Portions were perfect and a great value. And the chicken was the most tender chicken breast. I wish I had taken pictures but I dropped the ball this time around. For dessert, I chose baklava. Very traditional with pistachios and tasty! A lady from the back sent out a comped bowl of their rice pudding, which was super smooth, lightly sweetened, with pistachio dusting across the top. I loved it as well! If you're searching for a unique beverage, please try their mango lasse...not too sweet, very creamy, and a good sized portion. I highly recommend giving this place a try! I was a huge fan of the chicken myself, but some of my coworkers really enjoyed the vegetarian options (falafel, hummus, cucumber salad). The Qabli Pilov was probably the best shanks I have ever had. The chicken kabob was also good. I loved the rice with raisins which is I believe like a national dish. The falafels were also very well done. The only thing I would've like was some Afghani naan or similar bread with some yogurt sauce included with the meal. I ordered takeout from here twice, and then organized a group to dine in. Wow -- the take-out food was amazing! The lamb tikka kabob was tender, and crusted with an amazing spice which I think was sumac. The qabila pilov came with a huge lamb shank -- this flavorful slab of meat attached to the bone, that made me think of a Ren Fair turkey leg. The second take-out I got the mentoo appetizer, and was blown away -- a very complex explosion of flavors -- the yogurt, a spice I can't identify, the herbs, the dal cooked al dente, a sweet hint of raisin, the ground meat -- it was that illusive surprise of a new flavor I had never tasted before, and amazed me so much, I gobbled it up quickly and ordered it again at the next opportunity!! Which happened when I scheduled my monthly dine-out group there for last night. I thought we would have 12 people attend, but I told the restaurant owner I was worried a few "surprise" people would show up. The owner went out of her way to have tables in for 16 people set up for us!! And we ended up with 15, so their generous spirit was much appreciated. The owner was the only person greeting the tables, and she did so with patience, cheerful hospitality, and a good explanation of the dishes, and was quick to respond to any request. The whole experience had the feel of eating at a neighbor's home. Yes, a few "expected amenities" weren't present -- for example, there were no water glasses set out to supplement the ordered drinks. But the welcoming atmosphere and amazing food more than made up for the lapses from the conventional. We had a few hard-to-please members who thought the rice was too plan -- but the majority of our diners were amazed at the huge portions and amazing flavors! Our group of five had a number of appetizers and one of the family meals (4 for $75 which included 6 kabobs, rice, and a vegetarian option (we chose eggplant), and a cucumber tomato salad so we could all share and try many things. Everything was delicious and service was fast. If you like a bit more flavor/spice, get some mint chutney. Everything we ordered was excellent quality. Service was a bit slow but i think it was because of a staff shortage. We ordered a hummus appetizer along with a side of bread (forget the name of the menu item). it was delicious! for my entree I got the chicken kabob & my boyfriend got the cauliflower vegetarian dish. we both loved our meals! the portions were huge and the food was very fresh and cooked perfectly. for dessert I ordered the firnl, which was great as well. we had a great experience and would come again! read more

The host Alina gave us such a warm welcome, I knew we were at the right place for lunch We had the Kabuli Pilov and Chicken Kabobs, both were perfectly seasoned, cooked to perfection. The lamb was break-of-the-bone tender, and the boneless chicken was just out of this world. My daughter usually never enjoys chicken outside of home, but she finished the whole platter and made me order another one to take to the hotel for dinner. We enjoyed some amazing Cardamom tea post lunch, and a delectable bowl of Firni. From the beautiful music in the background, to Alina's gracious hosting and the scrumptious meal, I would rate this place 10 stars out of 5. Went here for lunch and had the Chicken Kebab and Eggplant. The chicken was very good, not dry and the rice with raisins and carrots was a real treat - my wife loved it. The eggplant was freshly made, a very nice choice. There is no wine available so the drink choice is limited to soda and water. The signage outside is not great - I knew where it was due to GPS. Absolutely delicious food. They have all the standard Mediterranean falafel, hummus, kebab wraps etc, but please try the things you've never heard of. This is not risky behavior. The rewards are great. Obviously fresh and homemade bread, dumplings, meats and delicate flavors. Look where Afghanistan is on the map. Somewhere between the Mediterranean and India. Went here with my boyfriend to try afghan food for the first time. And boy, were we impressed!! It was clean and updated. The customer service was amazing! The owners were so nice, friendly, and informative. You can tell they are passionate about their food. It was fresh and SO flavorful! We got the Mantoo, bread, Chicken Kabob, and Kofta Challow. All was amazing! The chicken was so tender and delicious. And the sauce of the challow, I literally want it on everything. I ordered a side of it to go to put on leftovers. A hidden gem! The chicken kabob is outstanding and sooo juicy. I love the Afghan salad as well. Very flavorful and refreshing. Not a large restaurant but can probably hold 50. Nice simple ambiance.
