    Chicken Shawarma
    Donielle W.

I have been meaning to come here for years after trying them several times at Taste of Cincinnati. I finally managed to make it in on Valentine's Day this year. It was a last minute plan with my husband so we didn't have reservations. I was so appreciative that they were able to get us in anyways, though with a reservation we would have had a better table. The atmosphere was very charming. I loved the music and was surprised to find they had a belly dancer as well, performing near tables for tips. It enhanced the experience for sure. As for the food, OMG it was good! My husband had the chicken shawarma, and I had the chicken tawook. They were both amazing! Even the rice was good. We ordered hummus, and it was superb. The bread that was served with it was unlike any bread I've ever tried. It tasted like a mixture of pita bread and a roll, which was a super interesting combo. It's pretty expensive, but so worth it. The only thing I don't like is the parking situation. There is no parking lot. We found plenty of parking on a side street just a short walk away so overall no big deal. I highly recommend this place.

Again, this place continues to be excellent and we love it! Our service was great and attentive and the food is always amazing. Lamb shanks, labneh, grape leaves. It was all so good! If you want a group table or 6 or more people, it's good to call ahead. Prices have really gone up. That's normal these days and I understand. But probably not good for everybody considering wages don't always go up with them. Hopefully Andy's can continue to do well in this environment of increased costs. We get it! Food is still just so wonderful and we continue to return but probably only a couple times a year. But we know when we come we're going to spend a lot of money. Staff here is always been very friendly and treated us like family. We've had a couple of birthdays here and we tell them ahead of time and they always make sure we have a good space. Looking forward to coming back!

Solid Mediterranean restaurant. Had the chicken skewers with rice. Chicken was well seasoned and perfectly cooked. Very filling portion. Hummus was delicious and the bread was fresh and warm. Very soft and perfect compliment to hummus. Service was great. Very satisfying meal after hours on the road.

Just one word to sum up our dining experience- delicious! We will definitely return. We couldn't have been more pleased with our experience and yummy meal. From the amazing belly dancer to the excellent server we couldn't have been in better hands. The food was delicious. I just moved here and found it via yelp. Tom's been in this area his entire life and heard about it and not been. We will definitely return due to our experience and that we want to try so many other menu items. I couldn't stop eating because it was delicious and freshly prepared. Look forward to our next experience!

We came here with friends who dine regularly. It was an incredibly slow evening so we got a lovely quiet meal in the back room . Love the food & ambiance. Our dinner was great & I thoroughly enjoyed the Babaganoush with a phenomenal pitas! Everything from Tabouleh to grape leaves, Hummus and Falafel was beautifully prepared and so satisfying. The baklava was a fantastic close to a wonderful meal--not to be missed, so save room!

I don't ever have to return. I absolutely love Greek food. This place has such mixed reviews that I thought I would give it a try. Between the service and food quality, my hunt for great Greek/Mediterranean food will continue. Oh, not to mention it is well over-priced for the offerings. I'd probably equate this place with Alladin's. Not a fan.

five stars! While visiting Cincinnati this past weekend, a group of four of us were able to get a reservation at Andy's no problem. I did not see a lot designated for their restaurant, but there was ample street parking available. The staff seemed to be following all covid precautions, wearing face masks, and keeping patrons at 6 feet distance. I love Mediterranean cuisine for the many veggie options and Andy's was no exception! We started out sharing some falafel and pita which was delicious. I ordered 2 starters for a meal- the lentil soup and baba ghanoush, both servings were large and I was able to take home at least half and have for leftovers the next day! Everyone left full and satisfied. Our waitress was attentive and checked on us a few times to make sure everything was to our liking. I would definitely recommend Andy's and would go back on another visit!

    Hair growing on grape leaves

Sad to report that my dolmas/grape leaves arrived with HAIR growing on them, a la a science experiment growing in the back of the fridge. When I spoke to the restaurant, the man laughed it off and said next time you call I'll give you a discount.

What an amazing experience! I'm not sure why I never heard of this place before. I was looking for Mediterranean options and I ran into Andy's, so I looked at some of the reviews/pictures and decided to give it a try. We got there a bit early so it was not busy at all. We were greeted right away by who I think is one of the owners because he was also the waiter and everything else. He was very welcoming and friendly. I ordered the Mythos beer and my mum had the Lebanese coffee. I loved that in their beer menu they have Mediterranean options that are not so popular here. The beer was great and the coffee was extraordinary, strong but tasty. I read that entrees were quiet large so we ordered the Shish Tawook (which I never heard of before), a side of grape leafs and a side of fries. They also brought bread to the table. Everything was above average. The chicken and the rice were super tender and flavorful. As far as the grape leafs, they were the best I had in cincinnati. The place itself is very catchy and cozy. I will for sure go back, you won't regret giving it a chance.

The hummus was the perfect consistency and very flavorful. The beef tenderloin was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. The Kibbeh was amazing, filled with ground lamb which was absolutely delicious. Haven't been here for a few years and it didn't disappoint, will definitely not wait a few years until I come back !

We got the jumbo sampler. It was great but we were too full to order an entree!

The food was great, but a little overpriced. The vegetarian meals shouldn't be the same/comparable price as the meat dishes.

Their service makes you quickly feel right at home, and that continues throughout the meal. There were five of us, so we ordered several dishes to share. The hummus was fresh, the falafel was crispy on the outside and tasty, the lamb was tender, and the lahmacun ('Turkish pizza' for those that haven't tried this) was outstanding. The Lahmacun reminded me of my visit to a Turkish restaurant in Kazakhstan many years ago -- it was that good. My adult kids also had the salmon and a chicken sauté and loved both... I almost lost a finger getting a nibble. The drinks and desserts were also spot on. It's a very relaxed atmosphere and has seating to accommodate larger groups, so bring your friends and family and share. One recommendation for the Cafe -- we wish the lighting were a bit dimmer. Made it out here last night before seeing Pericles at Cincinnati Shakespeare Company. We ordered a couple waters, which we didn't realize would be bottled, and some dawali to start. The wait was very short, maybe ten minutes. These were definitely the best stuffed grape leaves I've had, with a sweet and tangy sauce. Nice light appetizer. For our entrees, she chose the falafel platter, and I went for the Arayes, which is a dish we've made a couple times at home recently and has become a favorite. These plates arrived only a minute or two after we finished the grape leaves, so perfect timing. I must say, everything looked incredible. We both took a bite of falafel, then the arayes, then the salad. Everything was very undersalted. Usually, I think of this as a huge strike against a restaurant, but once we added salt to everything, the flavors popped. It wasn't that the food was bland or unseasoned, it was just undersalted, which didn't help the flavors stand out. This is the main reason I did 4 stars instead of 5. The entrees were $18, and came with a big bed of rice and salad, but I felt the protein for each platter was a bit sparse: 5 falafel for the plate, and 5 arayes, which had a very thin patty of meat in each. Both were topped with a delicious cilantro-tahini (I think) sauce, that i would have liked a bit more of, for the sides and the arayes which were on the bottom. The water bottles were $1.50 each, so I'd probably bring our own next time, but that's not a big deal. Overall, most of my issues are small and nitpick except for the salt, so if that was nailed next time, I think this place would be a home run.

Sweet Home, Chicago!…read more Moving out of Chicago was never in the cards for me. Many years ago, when I needed to relocate for work, I knew absolutely nothing about Cincinnati. I grew to like Cincy very quickly. Not so much for the food (pizza and strange stuff they called "chili") but I all around felt like I was at home. I was also surprised that I never really found myself all that homesick either. I mean, I could always call my friends and family.....but there was one thing...... I can't call a Hot Dog or a Pizza! Now if I want good Pizza, I make it myself (Sorry, Cincy. Your Pizza game sucks.). But if I want to get a couple of good Chicago Style Hot Dogs, or other "Beef Joint" menu items, Chicago Gyros and Dogs brings a little home to me here in Cincy. Focusing on the dogs and fries, they've got it down. Whenever I get that urge, I drive the 25 - 30 minutes South to get those Vienna Beef hot dogs, trimmed perfectly with all the right condiments. I've had the Italian Beef once before and I'd have to give that another run. It wasn't my favorite, but maybe worth a second try. I do feel like I'm at a real Chicago "Beef Joint", back home. With the exception of one thing, but I completely understand it - Not a whole lot of Chicago Sports Team representation. I know you're in Cincy, but come on..... it's Chicago Gyros and Dogs! Would I go back? Yeah I would. As often as possible. In fact, I'm glad it's as far away as it is, otherwise I'd be there too much. I grew up at my Grandfathers diner/donut shop that was located on the Wrigley Field grounds, right in front of the stadium. So, with that, Vienna Beef dogs, Polish and beef were all we knew. Any reputable "Beef Joint" had that unmistakable yellow Vienna Beef sign in the window. Growing up in Chicago, your favorite pizza place or beef joint were the ones closest to your house. There are literally hundreds of each in all of Chicagoland. Maybe thousands. They all might have their own slight nuance or "thing", but the thing they all have in common is that they're delicious. Way to bring it to Cincy!
