Great spot for our one night in Cincinnati. As a Greek, I always like to try the cuisine in other cities. Fillo did not disappoint. We had coffee, the chef made my boyfriend a Greek coffee which he loved. The service is really professional and the whole vibe is fresmodern Greek but still gives that home cooked feel. We had the grilled calamari squid, prasini salad, the Aegean salmon bake and moussaka. The prasini was a hit; so delicious and fresh. The lemon and honey vinaigrette with figs were such a good touch. The moussaka was incredibly comforting, delicious and flavorful. It was a big portion and came with a side salad that was a perfect balance for $30. The squid was delicious and perfectly cooked as well. The salmon was good, cast iron baked over tomatoes capers onions and olives but slightly overcooked for my liking and thought it needed something more with it for $35. It was a good amount of fish with two small fillets though. Prices were a little high and menu a lot smaller compared to some Greek places but I get they're more upscale. Overall a solid 4.5.

I never hear people talking about Phillo for dinner... and now I'm not sure why! We had been when it was more of a bakery & had lunch- it was delicious! On a whim we decided to stop by and grab dinner. And IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! The food here is phenomenal! Fresh, jam packed with flavor, and plated beautifully. The staff were friendly, the owners came out and checked on us a few times. One small flag, the service was a tad slow. It seemed there were some delays in the kitchen. The owners did apologize and continuously check in, which went a long way. We will be back, but will be mindful of potential time spent there in the future. Overall, highly recommend!

I heard this place was great and it is. Family owned and run and very authentic dishes to Greece. Service was great, on a very busy evening. Service staff really knows the menu and dishes very well. Anyhow we just had two entrees, both amazing but the lamb was superior. Great flavor, cooked perfectly.

friday night dinner could not get better. the low ambiance made it perfect for friends the server answered all our questions and gave great recommendations the food was delicious, we had the spanakopita for an app, lamb chops for meal and cake for dessert. will be back and recommend this place to everyone!

    Eager for good food!

Definitely correctly rated! The meditteranean was unique and yet familiar, fresh ingredients with zesty twists (spanikopita looking like a French pastry sitting atop a type of Greek yoghurt and honey??) The service was great, especially seeing as we were again underdressed and towing two children under three (one of which was screaming "HIYA" and waving with frantic zeal at everyone in the restaurant). The drinks were refreshing and well-made We sampled multiple appetizers- hummus (classic, good quality), spanikopita(best thing we tried), saganaki- (Opa!) All of it was great.

    Stunning bar area!

5/5 (but honestly... 10000/10) I took myself on a solo date to Fillo Modern Greek in Cincinnati, and I'm still floating from how incredible the entire experience was. From start to finish, it felt special, thoughtful, and downright delicious. My bad day turned into a fabulous and delightful evening. First off, Scott, my server, was amazing. Warm, friendly, and genuinely attentive without ever hovering. As someone dining solo, I really appreciated how comfortable and welcome he made me feel. His recommendations were spot-on, too. I started with the Persephone and Misthios cocktails, and both were absolute perfection. Perfectly balanced, beautifully presented, and honestly some of the best cocktails I've had in the city. For food, I went with the grilled octopus and the lamb chops and wow. Just... wow. The octopus was tender and smoky, seasoned so perfectly it practically melted in my mouth. But the lamb chops stole the show. Juicy, flavorful, perfectly cooked. I didn't even think twice before picking them up with my hands (the way lamb chops should be eaten, in my opinion). And the best part? The chef actually came out to thank me for enjoying them the traditional way. That little moment made my night. I finished off with the Baklava Nests to go and omg. WOW! I'm obsessed. I'm a Baklava enthusiast so these really made my day. I'm so excited to eat my leftovers tomorrow once I leave the office. These are the type of leftovers you have to enjoy at home! The ambiance tied everything together modern, vibrant, and warm, with just the right amount of buzz to make a solo dinner feel lively instead of lonely. This wasn't just a meal; it was a whole experience. I walked out of Fillo feeling full, happy, and genuinely cared for. If you're looking for a spot that nails food, drinks, service, and atmosphere, especially if you love a good solo date night, this is the place.

This was my first time in Cincinnati and I wasn't expecting to find authentic Greek food. Well, I was pleasantly surprised when we tried Fillo! The service was excellent and atmosphere was very relaxing and cozy. I just knew that they had bread that would change our lives and indeed I was right! It came out so warm and crunchy on the crust yet soft in the middle! It was accompanied with a nice olive oil and butter dip. We ordered the Fried Feta with hot honey, Mousaka, chicken souvlaki, horiatiki greek salad, and the beets salad. Everything was beyond our expectations. So delicious! The chef/owner came and spoke with us and to my surprise he was also Greek. He was kind enough to offer us dessert: Greek yogurt with sour cherries. Perfect amount to share. I never thought I'd experience this level of Greek cuisine in Cincinnati and I'm glad I found Fillo! Can't wait for next time.

Once again, my husband and I ordered entirely too much food for two people because everything sounded amazing. I'm glad we did because it was all so delicious. That dip trio is enough to make me want to come back again and again. The restaurant is bright and cheery inside and a great spot for a date or dinner with friends.

Amazing food. It felt like we were transported right back to Greece. If we could have ordered every starter we would have.

This weekend I was able to check out Fillo. The modern interior was great and gave it a clean look. We started off with the saganaki, fried feta, and pita. Everything tasted fresh and you could tell the high quality of the ingredients. I got the lamb chops which were cooked perfectly and had great flavor. The only thing I would say is its a bit pricey for the portions.

I LOVE this place. Any time I'm in Cincinnati, I'm there. I'm not a fan of lamb in general but THIS LAMB IS TO DIE FOR. Amazing seasoning, generous portions, and the ambiance is wonderful. The location is also great and near everything. Would recommend for anyone looking for an authentic Mediterranean experience. Service is also worth noting! Friendly staff! Lots of regulars come here and it's nice to see a mix of locals and new faces.

I cannot wait to go back! From the moment you walk in you feel warm and welcome and ready to eat. We sat at the bar and loved the bartender. He did a great job recommending dishes and chatting and then focusing in to get his drinks made. We started with some cocktails and the fried feta and trio of spreads. The feta is amazing! You must get it. The spreads were delicious with the house made pita. I had the branzino and my husband had the lamb chops, both were phenomenal. We ended with dessert, a special Greek cake, which I highly recommend. Overall, the atmosphere was great, the food phenomenal, and the service was excellent. Highly recommend!

Fillo is a must visit if your in the mood for authentic Greek. The menu is small but not lacking in any way. There are choices for everyone. Try an appetizer. We had the roasted beets and baked feta phyllo with honey. Amazing ! We also had the shrimp with couscous and musaka. The service was impeccable (Scott) and we even had a visit from the owner which was wonderful. We it, we will be back.

On a less busy night, they offered a free toast for my birthday. I've been for other celebratory dinners here on busier nights where that hasn't happened, so it was a lovely surprise! Ambiance: 4/5 A little busy and can get loud on the weekends with table chatter, cutlery clinks, and the brick walls echoing noise around. Tables are also close together, so you can definitely hear the conversation next to you. The decor is pleasant and the lighting is soft and romantic enough that it is still a perfect date night spot! There are also a couple larger crescent booths for larger parties.

We are in town visiting and we went there for a nice meat meal after several days of dairy on the road. There were 6 of us at the table with 2 children. If I lived in town I would not be going back. They had 1 waitress working the entire place. She was kind enough but all she did was make excuses. We sat down at 6:15 and we did not get our hummus appetizer, which apparently they ran out of soon after, until 7:15. When we arrived there was only 2 tables occupied so it was not bustling. I am not sure how or why it took so long to prepare Hummus but given the ingredients I could have scratch cooked our entire meals in a fraction of that time. Again, when we arrived there were 2 other tables of 2 and maybe 1-2 small orders picked up during out time there. During our visit they had several more groups come in, some served before us, some getting the constant refrain, "we are out of this." It seems like there was 1 chef in the kitchen preparing all the food on their own. It is also highly problematic that they had 2 small children sitting there for an hour with not even a little bread or anything. We had to push the waitress to get the hot dogs out so they would calm down. As for the food, most of it was OK. The ribeye was properly cooked. The braised short rib was tender with a little wine flavor. The kids hot dogs were hot dogs. The chicken schwarma was flavorful. The Israeli salad was what you would expect. The green beans were overcooked, unseasoned and tasted like nothing. The worst and most impressive thing was how they got the mashed potatoes to taste like they came from a powder out of a box. I don't often leave something completely uneaten but they were inedible. How you can serve a $50 steak with such artificial swill is beyond me. I get it, they are the only option. Fail!
