Goodness gracious, what a gem! I was dragged here by majority vote (democracy at its finest, or tyranny of the majority), anyways I'm glad I lost that argument. Service? Phenomenal. Food? Out of this world. The omelets were solid, but the real MVPs were the Greek appetizers. I couldn't pronounce half of them, and I definitely can't remember their names... but trust me: JUST ORDER AN APPETIZER AND THANK ME LATER. The atmosphere? Odd, old, and beautiful--like your favorite eccentric uncle's living room but with way better food. It had character, and I loved it. Our server Dori was AMAZING--like the Beyoncé of waitstaff. Had always wanted to try this place after reading about it in the Enquirer. Decided to make the drive from West Chester on a day off from work. People are friendly and the service is prompt. Clearly this place has a lot of regular customers. We came for the gyros. Unfortunately, my wife and I ordered the Gyro wrap. It was actually in a wrap not a pita. Never contemplated the gyro would not be served on a pita. My daughter got the classic gyro on a pita. I was envious. Obviously my mistake, but again surprised a Greek restaurant would serve a gyro on anything but Pita. Fries were fine. Nothing special about the Greek fries, simply was a steak fry with some seasoning on top. read more

I've been here years ago and was in the area so I decided to stop in for lunch. I had a gyro which was good and the pita bread was crunchy. Not in a bad way but more than I am used to. The tzatziki sauce was good and the fries were good. The fries were on the larger side. Service was awesome and the decor is the typical Greek restaurant. I saw an article on the wall about their chili so I ordered a cheese coney to try it. I have to say the chili is good. I may have to do a 4 way next time. read more

Like it's namesake Island in the Aegean, Santorini Family Restaurant is painted with vibrant blue and bright white walls. We came for late lunch and it was an excellent decision. While we didn't coordinate it, we both followed a basic Greek, or at least Americanized Greek approach. My wife had a classic gyro omelet and I had a classic gyro. Both were served quickly and tasted delicious. The omelet came with toast and I ordered pickled beets as a side for my gyro. Toast is toast. The beets were reminiscent of family picnics when I was in my single digits. The food was great, the service was great, and the value was unreal. AND. We had dessert. Something we don't usually do at lunch. Baklava and pineapple upside-down cake. Yum. Bottom line, if you find yourself in Cheviot, Santorini Family Restaurant is a no brainer. read more

Santorini is one of my favorite spots to get breakfast in the area. Combining greek dishes with breakfast classics is a brilliant idea. I HIGHLY recommend the gyro omelet. I'm also a big fan of their hotcakes, which is saying something because I usually don't like pancakes. They are fluffy perfection. One thing I'm not personally a fan of are the home fries: they usually come under salted and aren't shredded like I would prefer. My boyfriend enjoys them though, so it might just be me! The staff is always super friendly, even during a rush. If you like greek food and diner vibes, this is the spot for you! Haven't had the privilege of trying their non-breakfast food, but I'm sure it's just as good. read more

Excited to try Santorini for lunch before an appointment. Ordered a hamburger and my friend ordered tuna melt which she received quickly. My hamburger was served to me just as my friend finished her lunch. Ridiculous. Took it to go and had to eat it in the car on the way to the appt. Could not believe they charged me ($10.95!) for this poor service. Sometimes an apology is not enough. Will never eat there again. BTW hamburger nothing special. read more

I love this place!! If I am ever considering fast food, I go here instead. The food is fresh and good, the prices are reasonable and I try something new nearly each time I visit. Chicken gyros, Greek pizza, and veggie omelet are some of my faves so far. But the coney and chocolate chip pancakes are nothing to sneeze at! This is a small, family establishment, so don't expect lightning-fast interactions. Like most of our families, some members are quicker than others. Have you ever tried to venture out to a new restaurant, something only frequented by people from the area? In a different city you simply can't eat at the chain restaurants. But there is a hesitation sometimes, at least for me. I'm from the Caribbean (Trinidad) and sometimes I never know if it's the right fit. Santorini Family Restaurant greeted me like I was a regular patron the moment the woman at the register made eye contact with me. And at the same time she was attending to two customers waiting to pay. I was off to a great start. Santorini hit a home run (even though I prefer soccer) from the get go! My omelette, which was loaded and tasty, was on par with the service and attentiveness they provided. And it wasn't just me. I sat at their diner bar and an older gentleman next to me in his cool yellow measuring tape patterned suspenders also received the royal attention. There's more.... I had just checked out of a very nice Hilton and thought breakfast was included. They said: "For the rate you got we cannot give you a complimentary breakfast." Although I was disappointed at the time, the 25 minute drive to find Santorini Family Restaurant was certainly worth it. The apple juice was higher quality than average; the whipped topping tasted homemade, and the menu offers traditional and unique options. I enjoyed the gyro omelette and my husband enjoyed this giant sandwich (pictured) who's name I can't remember. The blueberries in the pancakes tasted like they'd just been picked. The restaurant was really family-friendly. I asked for some crackers to entertain my toddler until her food was ready, and the staff offered me coloring books and crayons along with our crackers. Santorini, Santorini, Santorini: How is it that I just recently discovered you? And to think that if my father had not mistaken you for an Italian restaurant, I would have likely missed you altogether. So I called my dad to ask him where he wanted to celebrate our belated birthday dinner, and as I was silently thinking "Not Bob Evans, please," he mentioned two places in Cheviot. One was an Italian joint called Santorini. I thought it sounded Greek, but I did not say anything because I was not about to try the other option. I looked Santorini up on Yelp and confirmed it was Greek. When we pulled up and saw the blue and white, I thought he would figure it out, but the gods were with me that day. Even after we were seated and looking at the menu, my dad still did not have a clue. And unbelievably, the daily special was spaghetti and meatballs, so I let him keep on believing it was Italian until late in the meal. When I finally told him, he did not believe me until the server confirmed it. He thought the meatballs were "a little spicy," but he enjoyed them nonetheless. Santorini serves the best hummus and pita I have ever had. I have had hummus and pita in restaurants in NYC that are rumored to be the best, but they do not come close to Santorini. The fact that the pita is served warm makes a tremendous difference. They also serve a solid gyro, although I prefer to taste the cucumber in tzatziki sauce. Desserts are all over the place. My lemon meringue pie was very good, but my dad's cobbler had been made with canned pie filling. No thanks! Our server was incredibly friendly, but she was a bit too slow at times. I am looking forward to returning to Santorini in the near future. read more
