I hosted 10 people for dinner here, and know that I had placed my friends in good hands. We were seated at a long table in one of the semi-private rooms. The white tablecloth, and mood lighting made for a sophisticated atmosphere. Our server was very thoughtful and on top of his game. We ordered hummus (my fav app, creamy!), baba ghanoush (garlicky), rolled spinach pies and a fatoush salad (had huge chunks of cucumber and tomatoes, dressing was OK). Pita bread was warm and spongy (in a good way/ im used to the thinner pita). My partner got the chicken/mushroom curry (first time seeing a curry on a Mediterranean restaurant menu-was so good and creamy!! Definitely big enough to share with 2-3 ppl) I got the beef (single stick with BIG pieces of ribeye) kebab plate (medium rare w/ rice and grated salad)-cooked perfectly, so flavorful & tender. I've never had white rice like this - really good, moist and simply flavored (?buttery ?olive oil? & salt). They have a House Specialties section with dishes I would like to come back and try: okra stews, baked eggplant, cabbage rolls. Great first time visit. Its location was a little tricky to find (at least the way Google maps took us). Probably easier to locate during daylight. read more

I was in Cincinnati on business, and I always like to try Mediterranean food in different cities. Artemis was great! Tucked away in a little village near Blue Ash, it is quaint and welcoming. I started with the Baba, which was thick and nicely smoky; with a severe gluten allergy, I could not try the pita, but they served it with cucumber slices and carrots, which provided a nice balance and crunch. The chicken kebabs were my main -- flavorful and caramel oozed nicely. They were served with plain rice and I subbed out the shredded salad for a side of the shepherd's salad l, and I was glad I did! I added feta to the shepherd salad, too, and it was just delicious! The service and staff were extremely friendly and helpful with my gluten allergy; I would definitely come back here again, and recommend it if you're in the area. read more

I can't praise this place enough! My wife and I came in 45 minutes before close on a Saturday night. We are skeptical when it comes to dining out, but our skepticism was washed away almost instantly upon entering the establishment. The hostess created us promptly, and immediately cleaned and reset a table. We were sat in less than 5 minutes. We ordered the falafel appetizer that rivals some of the best we had in Istanbul. We had the mixed grill, the chicken was very flavorful and succulent, the lamb was among the best I've had since I was in Crete. Finally I am a connoisseur of baklava... this is among the top 5 I've ever had... warm, flakey, and not overly sweet. Aside from the food the owners are sweet, hardworking, hands on owner/ operators. We made reservations but probably not necessary for lunch time. My husband had the stuffed cabbage rolls which tasted to me like lasagna, delicious. I got the curry chicken with mushrooms and jasmine rice. Large enough for two. Not cheap but reasonably priced. Great ambiance. Linen tablecloths and nice glassware add to the experience. The prices are moderate and the portion size large. We ordered a combo appetizer- pick four and menu states it serves two- however it would easily serve four! Each appetizer we had was amazing in flavor. For dinner I ordered the stuffed cabbage rolls - which were again excellent. They have a nice selection of wines, including a few from Turkey. The service was good and our waitress explained the menu items very well. Definitely recommend giving it a try if you enjoy Mediterranean cuisine. read more

I came to Artemis Mediterranean restaurant last Sunday after a funeral. The food here was so good. Not sure if it was because I was hungry or just really liked everything I ate. We started off with appetizers. Whew if that's also what you see on the real menu besides the catered I would be full already. The appetizers were plenty to fill me up fast. From the hummus, baba ghanoush to the salads. I was full before we got the main meal. I liked that food so much I would also recommend it to my family of vegetarians since they would like it as well. It's the same food they typically eat as well. The main entree of the lamb and chicken kebab were so good I couldn't finish them as well! Never take me to a Mediterranean restaurant, I always fill up on the appetizers before you even get to the main meal or dessert. I tend to only eat between 25-50% of the main entrees and desserts. Otherwise, everything was great from the service to the restaurant atmosphere. I would definitely come back when I am in Cincinnati again! read more

Received an immediate warm welcome upon arrival. We were asked if we preferred a table or booth and were seated immediately. Our waiter come out very quickly with water and menus. He did not rush us to order and was very pleasant. He was attentive and tried to get my granddaughter to smile and interact. Sometimes this sort of behavior can be a little much, but he seemed very genuine so it was not annoying. Ambience and décor along with white table cloths displayed a high-end feel/vibe. The menu offered a wide variety of choices. Mostly your typical Mediterranean offerings. For our apps we had hummus and pita as well stuffed grape leaves. Both were very good. My daughter ordered chicken kabob with rice and salad which she enjoyed. I ordered the Lamb Sautee which was served in a chef sauce. Very flavorful and decent portion size. Granddaughter ordered chicken tenders and mac n cheese. The mac n cheese was actually good especially for something off the children's menu. They have plenty of seating, a bar and a large party room. You can make reservations online. We went on a Thursday at 6:30 and they were not busy, but not dead either. Perhaps they can be busy on a weekend so I advise booking a reservation. Amazing restaurant! Artemis is one of my favorite Mediterranean spots in the area. Despite there being a decent number of options for this style cuisine I keep coming back to Artemis because they consistently make great food and have great service. Most recently, we had a family dinner. We ordered the appetizer for 4 to share and our own entrees. The meat is grilled perfectly and is incredibly flavorful and tender. Visited here on a very busy Saturday night. We had to wait some time so we're seated at the bar area before our table was ready, we sat in the side room which was rather cold when he first sat down. Two large parties of about 15 people each arrived and it soon warmed up . My only feedback is the side room is not really suitable for large parties, the decibel level was through the roof and at some points our party of 4 literally had to shout at each other !. The food and service though couldn't be faulted, everything tasted great. We had pastries to start, very yummy flaky pastry filled with cheese or spinach, followed with the mixed kebabs, lamb, chicken and beef were all outstanding . We shared the Greek salad with feta and finished with the amazing chocolate pudding. Well priced and good service , will be back again, hopefully seated in the main room though. read more
