    Greek salad
    Marc M.

Everything was fresh and super delicious! All the sauces are house made, the owner travels back to Jordan frequently to learn new techniques to bring back to his clientele here, and it shows in the good quality and care given in its preparation. If you haven't tried this place, you've done yourself a disservice. The portion size was enormous, in a big eater and I had easily half the meal remaining for tomorrow. Really a gem in the area. Try it today!

My wife and I love Mediterranean food and enjoy trying the different places about town. Lentils is paradox for me to review because all the reviews on Yelp and Google were very strong so I was anticipating top notch food. It turned out to just be meh. I ordered chicken shawarma and my wife ordered the gyro platter. My chicken was very dry and lacked flavor, which saddened me because I normally love this dish. The Greek salads were just ok. I can't square in my head how the food I ate was the same as all of the 5 ratings I've seen. Maybe this was a one off day.

The food is average, not great. The hummus order comes with a huge container of hummus but only 1 lonely pita. This is certainly lower than the industry standard. Also please see pictures of how the chicken shawarma platter is advertised vs what I received. I called and they didn't seem to care.

Pretty average. Really. I ordered with the UberEATS app and didn't dine in here. I can't say much about the service or place really. Just the food aspect. The food arrived within the expected time, smelled great, and it turned out okay. I ordered a Vegetarian platter and a Baklava. The Vegetarian platter had Falafel, babaganoush, hummus and dolmades (the grape leaves appetizer). Everything was just about average, nothing super. The pita bread wasn't fresh (was probably a store bought one). Baklava was alright too. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad. But there are better options in the same area.

I'm going to be really honest... I don't get the five-star reviews. Like the food isn't bad by any means, but me and my friend were not impressed. She is a vegetarian and a huge fan of Middle Eastern food. Whenever I say a huge fan of Middle Eastern food I mean like she's from the Middle East she compares everything to what she would eat living in the Middle East and she was excited because this place is actually owned by Jordanians. The bag of takeout we got smelled incredible, there was a rich spicy aroma, and we were very excited to dig in. What we found was okay at best, the hummus and grape leaves were both mild and flavor and seemed like what you would get from any deli cold case in the city. The falafel was pretty greasy and over fried, though it did have a decent amount of spice to it the flavor was overrun by the oil. The baba good news was probably the stand out of the vegetarian plate, with a very strong garlic flavor and taste of roasted eggplant permeating throughout. My beef kefta and rice was also okay. The rice was flecked with specks of seasoning that I thought would make it taste great, unfortunately it really wasn't. It was outdente, it was... Bland and flavorless really. The beef was extremely well seasoned and kind of a little overcooked, but overall decent enough. Would we go back? I guess, like if I had to have

    Gyro Sandwich

I have been here several times before, whereas the service has always just been so so, the food was generally good. On this occasion the food was just average and the portion sizes in relation to prices seems much lessor. I ordered the gyro sandwich that came out with just a few thin strips of meat (see photo). I inquired about the portion size to see whether or not this was normal and they brought me out some more meat. Only to find out they actually charged me extra for the side of meat. All our meals were just ok. Not sure why I tipped at all, but I always try to support. In regards to general customer service, it's truly lacking. They are not exactly overly rude, but one of the employees simple never smiles and does not generally go out of his way to provide customer service. Just nothing special at all. You just do not see welcomed to come there. Again I always try to support smaller businesses, but I feel this will be the last time I will visit this place.

Online order for carry out was completed on time and was nice and hot still once we got it home. We enjoyed a spicy gyro, gyro platter, lentil soup, falafel, and Greek fries. The gyro platter came with pita, rice, and salad. The falafel came with some pita. Everything we ate was delicious! The falafel were particularly nice (not dried out at all).

    Awesome mural inside the restaurant!

We are regular Door Dashers of Lentils for dinner and love their chicken shawarma and gyro platters. So good with the Greek salad, falafels and hummus on the side. Delish! Tonight I happened to stop in to pick food up and saw they have an incredible new mural in the space. We can always expect great food, great service and great environment. Thanks Lentils!

Trying this spot for the first time. We got carry out after filling up on Kroger gas. Since I always enjoy trying out Mediterranean spots for Gyros & Shwarmas, I saw the new sign while filling up next door. My son & I walked in to check out the menus (displayed on over head tvs). Place was nice & clean. The customer service was excellent & welcoming. While waiting for our order, one of the gentlemen kindly gave us a sample of lentil soup & fried pita squares. He did the same for another couple that just ordered carry out after us. The lentil soup was delicious & flavorful. I will definitely order a cup or bowl next time I go. We got home, 5 minutes away where wife & daughter were waiting. Dish 1 was my son's plain cheesesteak (meat & cheese only... picky kid). It was OK. My son commented it was like eating a re-heated sandwich. Dish 2 was a chicken shwarma. I didn't expect the pickles on there, but my daughter liked it. I assume it was cooked with curry based on what my wife said. Overall not bad, but not a 5 compared to other chicken shwarmas I have had (see my other reviews). Dish 3 gyro wrap. Sliced right for my liking. Almost the same as an Arby's gyro, which isn't bad. Enough proportions of meat to vegetable to size of pita. Dish 4 chicken wings. My wife said she liked them the best of what we had ordered. Deep fried & breaded chicken wings. My already ate 3 before I could get a picture of them. Side order of large fries. They were ok. Compared to other Mediterranean restaurants fries, my expectations are higher. Overall, we will go again, maybe the whole family to dine in. An overall 4.5 because the people seemed great, food was pretty good, price is good & not overpriced (so there is value for what you get). But not a 5 when compared to the place(s) I give a 5 or wish I could give a 6 to.

Their service makes you quickly feel right at home, and that continues throughout the meal. There were five of us, so we ordered several dishes to share. The hummus was fresh, the falafel was crispy on the outside and tasty, the lamb was tender, and the lahmacun ('Turkish pizza' for those that haven't tried this) was outstanding. The Lahmacun reminded me of my visit to a Turkish restaurant in Kazakhstan many years ago -- it was that good. My adult kids also had the salmon and a chicken sauté and loved both... I almost lost a finger getting a nibble. The drinks and desserts were also spot on. It's a very relaxed atmosphere and has seating to accommodate larger groups, so bring your friends and family and share. One recommendation for the Cafe -- we wish the lighting were a bit dimmer. Seemed a little bright in the main dining area. Other than that, thanks for a great night.

We are in town visiting and we went there for a nice meat meal after several days of dairy on the road. There were 6 of us at the table with 2 children. If I lived in town I would not be going back. They had 1 waitress working the entire place. She was kind enough but all she did was make excuses. We sat down at 6:15 and we did not get our hummus appetizer, which apparently they ran out of soon after, until 7:15. When we arrived there was only 2 tables occupied so it was not bustling. I am not sure how or why it took so long to prepare Hummus but given the ingredients I could have scratch cooked our entire meals in a fraction of that time. Again, when we arrived there were 2 other tables of 2 and maybe 1-2 small orders picked up during out time there. During our visit they had several more groups come in, some served before us, some getting the constant refrain, "we are out of this." It seems like there was 1 chef in the kitchen preparing all the food on their own. It is also highly problematic that they had 2 small children sitting there for an hour with not even a little bread or anything. We had to push the waitress to get the hot dogs out so they would calm down. As for the food, most of it was OK. The ribeye was properly cooked. The braised short rib was tender with a little wine flavor. The kids hot dogs were hot dogs. The chicken schwarma was flavorful. The Israeli salad was what you would expect. The green beans were overcooked, unseasoned and tasted like nothing. The worst and most impressive thing was how they got the mashed potatoes to taste like they came from a powder out of a box. I don't often leave something completely uneaten but they were inedible. How you can serve a $50 steak with such artificial swill is beyond me. I get it, they are the only option. Fail!
