Spotted in for brunch on a Saturday. It was packed and we had to wait for a table. This is always a good sign to me. We ordered the poutine to start. The gravy wasn't your traditional gravy and it was bit salty. We got the burger and the hangover bowl. The bowl was very flavorful and fresh! I loved that it had chorizo and a spicy crema. The pico tasted homemade and super fresh. I would come back again for brunch here! The staff was nice and working hard on a Saturday afternoon!

We went for brunch and it was so good. There wasn't a wait at the time, we got seated right away. The food and the vibes were great. The waffle had just the right amount of fluff and deliciousness. 10/10

The Hangover - A ceramic plate contains two sunny-side-up eggs with runny yolks, seasoned ground beef, and a side of chopped tomato and cilantro salsa. Two green plantains are placed on top of the beef. The plate is on a wooden table, with a person in a maroon long-sleeve shirt and a watch visible in the background, holding a phone or camera.

Came here for brunch on a random Friday and was pretty underwhelmed. I think it's the same owner as Yuca (which I absolutely love) and so I was sorta surprised. It's a cute space, kind of the same layout as Yuca too. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and we got a table for 2 right away. We got the Hangover Bowl and the Crab Benny. Neither were bad necessarily, but at the same time neither were particularly exciting or remarkable. The portions also felt somewhat small for the prices. Overall it was just fine, but I will likely pick a different spot next time for brunch.

Cedar has been on my list for a long time. Finally made it in on a early Friday. The space is cute, modern and clean. We had the chimi chimi appetizer, grilled cheese with filet mignon and the chicken/waffles. All of the food was good. I feel torn like I would not say blown away. I liked it and I think the chicken and waffles were the best of the 3 dishes. There have several variations of bloody mary. Service was great.

This isn't your typical brunch spot. It's a small menu with some pretty unique flavor pairings, but it was absolutely delicious! I had never seen crab on a breakfast menu before, or orange creamsicle French toast. I went basic though and got the avocado toast, which was excellent. Seating is pretty limited- we had to wait 10 minutes before a table was open, but that is understandable given the size of the restaurant and the fact that it was a Saturday afternoon. I would recommend stopping here if you're looking for a quaint spot in downtown Covington!

BIG EASY OMELET

My wife and I stopped in for Sunday brunch, and it was packed in a good way. There was about a 30 min wait, but we could leave our number and got a text when our table was ready, which we really appreciated. The ambiance was very cozy and we really enjoyed how lively the place was. For our meal we ordered 3 items: The Poutine, the Big Easy Omelette, and the Filet & Eggs. Everything was very flavorful. The Poutine had a lot of flavor but was slightly too salty for our preferences but still enjoyable. The Big Easy Omelette had a nice unique Cajun kick which Iv never had with an omelette. The Filet and Eggs was also a good choice and the steak was prepared well. Overall a solid experience and a place worth returning to for brunch.

Delicious food, quick service and a quiet place to enjoy breakfast, these are all things Cedar offers. I had a classic Bloody Mary that was delicious, we all shared the poutine and I got the hangover bowl for my main. I have to say the hangover bowl so so good and was definitely the best part!

Firebird sandwich and fries

What a cute spot! Met a friend for brunch and the drinks, food, and service were wonderful. Highly recommended the travelers cold brew with the coconut rum. We split the firebird sandwich and the hangover bowl. The sandwich was the star. Great blend of sweet and spicy and a perfect crunch from the homemade pickles. The fries are hand cut and top notch. I plan to come back and try more items!

The hangover - A bowl features three fried eggs with runny yolks, garnished with chopped herbs. Accompanying the eggs are sliced avocado, diced potatoes, seasoned ground meat, and a small serving of salsa. In the background, there is a small dish with lime wedges and a plate with additional food. The setting appears to be a casual dining environment, likely a restaurant serving breakfast or brunch.

We discovered this place several this establishment a few years ago when visiting for a ballgame. No we are not Reds fans. The food is phenomenal, the service matches.

What a fun spot for brunch!! We all loved what we got! They have unique items on the menu but there's something for everyone! I loved how fun the environment was, friendly the staff was, and how clean it was! They also got our meals to us so quick! I ordered the cedar-mosa and the cedar burger and loved them! The burger has goetta muxed in with the meat and was delicious! My friend had an espresso martini and the chicken and waffles! Beware - the chicken and waffles does have a kick to it so if you're not into spice I'd recommend avoiding! Overall, loved our first time here and can't wait to come back t to try more!!

Random find. And now it's must go-to when visiting. Staff is amazing, super helpful and nice! We came for brunch and split two entrees. The steak and eggs and the crab Benedict. Steak cooked perfectly, eggs as well. Just a great fresh meal. The crab Benedict was amazing. Actual chunks of crab not slivers like other places. The blueberry lemonade (with Tito's) was awesome and very very drinkable. Mimosa with the raspberry purée on bottom was a great spin. And the vibe in this place is just awesome. Everyone was friendly, tons of regulars. This place is just a must.

I don't love the cocktail bars with aloof service that seem to think ignoring you is excellent customer service. The happy hour slaps - the prices are actually really good and it goes until 7pm. My bestie is obsessed with their low price on La Marca. I have tried several of their daiquiris and cocktails and haven't found a loser yet. They don't have food but that just means they are pet-friendly. There is plenty of food in the area (for pete's sake, OTR Kroger is across the street). I love when the weather allows for the big windows to be open. The patio is great people watching. There is also several parking options nearby. The meters on Court St, a pay lot on the next block, or if you spend at least $15 at Kroger, you can get three hours of free parking. And that's the perfect amount to spend on snacks! Be aware it will be FAST. Look at the order ahead of time if you're a picky eater/drinker. They run your appointment like clockwork, and you'll be in-and-out, gulping down cocktails, through the entire experience. Your two drinks are included (this year, anyway), and I'd honestly be surprised if you managed to have time for a third. Time zips by fast. That being said, because they do it this way, you essentially have constant service, there's "events" that happen at the end of your reservation time, (I don't want to spoil it, but cover your drink!), and then they kick you out. Service was friendly, though, and I saw the server make time to take group photos for all of the tables (including ours) with someone at the table's camera. (No bullshit "group photo" upsells here) It's kinda loud, though, and I wouldn't recommend this as a chill meet-up-and-socialize spot. (If you wanna talk, they have an addendum, Christmas-themed laid-back bar next door.) It's more of a "get blasted in the face by Christmas for an hour and then leave" experience. It's pretty loud, and talking can be a bit difficult over the music and constant interruptions (more drinks? Photos? Cute Christmas video montage?) But this works in its favor as it feels the most Christmas, over-the-top, and seasonal out of all the holiday bars I've ever been to. It also keeps it from feeling too crowded as reservations are required, so you for-sure have a seat and you don't have to stand forever in line to wait for drinks. I'd probably guesstimate that bar staff is making all of their seasonal drinks, constantly, and servers just pick one up to deliver. With the capacity in here, it would make sense. No idea what the bar is like the rest of the year; this is just a review for the Miracle pop-up which, again, is probably the best I've been to in the Midwest. Cincinnati, you're spoiled down here. (Sidenote, I was absolutely taken aback by their TV presentation on the wall. It's hard to describe, but it isn't just a projector showing a giant rectangle. It's specifically slotted into the holes in-between holiday decorations. Staff told me that had to hire special technicians to get it to show up that way and that's seriously a level of detail I am so amazed by.)
