We got the food featured on the show, the Dirty French burger and the Chili Crunch Chicken Nuggets. We also split fries which were ok. Service was average. Delicious Cincy breakfast, especially for out-of-towners looking for something interesting. This place has got some more items specific to this area, so it's not your regular pancakes and hash browns. We are talking oatmeal sausages, deviled eggs, neckbone gravy. As the mister is a connoisseur of deviled eggs (har har), we of course picked that. I also love any kind of western breakfast plates, so I opted for the goetta breakfast, which I haven't found in any other places in the world yet but Cincy :O We also got some pancakes to round it out. The deviled egg is almost... too scrumptious for breakfast with the pork rinds! However, it is a littttttle less flavourful than we thought it'd be even with all the ingredients like mustard seeds in it. Pretty solid over all. The goetta breakfast is a must try because it's so interesting -- but it definitely brings back to mind when folks had to be more resourceful. The whole plate was delicious though! I've been before a few times for dinner, but this was my first time for brunch and it was as perfect as usual! We were a walk in right when they opened and they were able to get us in no problem. We sat in one of their booths which is my favorite because I like to look at their open kitchen and watch them cook. Our server was great, she was very timely and didn't rush us along as we usually take our time dining. To start we had to order the deviled eggs. It is probably my favorite thing on the menu. They are so creamy and flavorful, and the pepper and mustard seeds on top add the perfect texture and spice to them. I would come here everyday just for the deviled eggs. I also was a beverage goblin with a vanilla latte and bloody mary. The latte was good, not too sweet which is to my liking. I can be very critical of a bloody mary because I like mine thicker with spices and lots of garnishes, and this did the trick. The flavor was great, not spicy but tasty, not just a plain tomato juice. The garnishes were the best part cause I can't say no to anything pickled. They gave two pickles, an olive, a pickled onion, and a celery slice. OMG the best!! Now for my meal. I got the bread pudding french toast and got the hashbrowns with kimchi ketchup as a side for a sweet and savory combo. When the french toast came out I was worried it wasn't going to be enough, but it packs a punch. It was creamy and the bread was thick but not soggy. It melted in my mouth and wasn't overly sweet. The hash browns were cubed and fried with a golden crust, and they were perfect as well. Nice and crunchy but soft on the inside. I have to say the ketchup was the winner. Big fan of whatever playlist they had playing too. We started with some apps of the pork rinds and steak tartare. The tartare was decent but the pork rinds were delicious! A nice generous serving of them as well. For entrees we got the Chili Crunch Chicken, Fried Mortadella, and the Schnitzel. All of them were great but the Chili Crunch chicken really stood out. We visited our son in Covington over Thanksgiving 2025 and had brunch here. There were 4 adults in our party and we all loved it! It's been 4 months but I still remember how good everything tasted. I got a Bloody Mary and a huge ricotta lemon waffle but we also got Shishito peppers and deviled egg appetizers. That Bloody Mary was strong in the best way! I joined my mother here for a recent brunch and both of us were... Satisfied I suppose. The combination of dishes we ended up with were fine, but nothing on its own really stood out as amazing other than the matzo ball chicken soup. The belly buster breakfast had one of the worst pieces of belly I've ever had, nothing but chewy fat. Pancakes were good, not great. During our fun 24 stay in Cincinnati we dined at Sacred Beast for brunch. It was really easy to make online reservations for 6 in advance. Here's the crazy thing, walking to breakfast we noticed not much is open in OTR on Sundays before 10 am. We arrived a few minutes early and there was already a line waiting at the entrance. We were able to get in quickly and were seated immediately. They had several large booths that sat 6 people, it was a cosy table and had an intimate feel. Our server arrived quickly and took our drink orders. We mostly ordered coffee, but I had a Mocktail - cranberry, lime, OJ and seltzer water, it was amazing. The crazy thing about their menu is that it's available all the time. Most of our group ordered breakfast, with the diner breakfast being the most popular choice. Everyone raves about the lemon ricotta pancake and soft scrambled eggs. I went outside the box and ordered the Dirty French burger, which was recommended. It's a single burger with Gruyère cheese, Caramelized onions and mornay sauce. It was incredibly decadent. I didn't love the gravy poivre sauce but loved all the cheesy goodness. I probably wouldn't order it again but I'm glad I tried it. Just a bit heavy for me. We also ordered the deviled eggs app, could really taste the mustard seeds but the pork rinds were only on a few, or that's how it tasted. We selected the hasbrowns and kimchi ketchup as a side. This was a unique dish, the hash browns were in rectangles and deep fried. The kimchi ketchup tasted like horseradish sauce, and found no kimchi flavors. I would recommend the hash browns. Where to even start? On Sunday 09/28/25 I made a reservation for Saturday 10/04/25 @ 7pm. We are regulars at OTR restaurants and have visited most of them in that "cluster" but had not tried Sacred Beast. We live in SE Indiana and it takes us about 35 min to drive in and we know we have to find parking in OTR so we give ourselves plenty of time. Well we arrived ahead of schedule because the drive in and parking were a breeze so we are there about 20 min early. The hostesses told us our table wasn't ready and it would probably be ready hopefully by 7. They told us we could have a seat and then pointed to 2 chairs that were separated by a coat rack or we could sit at the bar. We chose the bar. We were greeted immediately but then completely ignored for the next almost 15 minutes. Finally got our drinks and our table was ready. We were seated at a two top table (which was great) right next to the patio door. My back is now right where everyone going in and out to the patio has to pass by. This is not relaxing or enjoyable. We made reservations, waited all week, arrived on time and waited patiently to find out that Sacred Beast wasn't going to give us the same level of attention that we had given them. Since my last review, I have been back to Sacred Beast three times for dinner. The experience has been elevated and I now feel confident recommending to others. I find the price point for the quantity and quality of food to be very good. In particular, the chicken schnitzel is an awesome value. A GIANT helping of schnitzel with a great arugula salad for $20. Awesome. My kids also like it here. My picky one gets the lemon ricotta pancakes and fries. The other is happy ordering adult food. We typically split a few things - schnitzel, meatball, etc. I have not experienced service issues since my first visit. If anything this is one of the most attentive restaurants in OTR. read more

TL;dr - Really good food, really pretentious service. We stopped by on a Saturday, around noon, for lunch. Our first time in Cincinnati, we didn't know what to expect and happened to be in the Findlay Market area. The Yelp reviews were strong, so we thought we'd try our luck. The wait was over an hour, so we opted to try another place, but made reservations here for the next morning. When we arrived the next morning, for a 10:30 reservation, there was just a weird vibe. The hostess greeted us coldly, acting like she was bothered that we had a reservation. She led us to a table without saying much else. When our server came, the awkwardness continued. We asked for recommendations and she seemed inconvenienced and indifferent. In fairness, the food was great. The diner's breakfast had some perfectly cooked eggs that were creamy and fluffy with fresh chives, the pork belly had an awesome char and a hint of sweetness, and the pancakes were great. The hasbrowns stole the show and reminded me of Sunday Roast potatoes in the UK. The food saved our experience. These guys have a good thing going, and they clearly know it, but a little humility wouldn't hurt them. read more

Second time I had the corned beef hash. Another very tasty meal! Third time I had Beets and Blue Cheese with salmon. It was fabulous. We also shared a fantastic dessert - cake with strawberries and whipped cream. So good! The place is comfortable and staff has always been super kind and accommodating. Don't be so modest Sacred Beast...you are much more than a Diner. If this is just a diner, I guess a lion is just a cat? Sacred Beats is out of the box menu featuring elevated takes on classics. Who doesn't love an all day breakfast menu? From fois gras and steak tartare to omelets and matzah ball soup, this menu has something for just about anything you're in the mood for. The deviled eggs(chilis, pork rinds, pickled mustard seeds) are not to be missed. The lemon ricotta pancakes are melt in your mouth good. And how can you go wrong with maple glazed pork belly? But surprisingly, the best thing I had was the cheesy eggs. I've been making eggs for over 30 years, yet I have never come close to achieving eggs this good. Scrambled, soft, fluffy, perfectly seasoned. It was perfect even before the cheese came into play. The cheese takes it to a whole other stratosphere! After a decade-plus of being let down by OTR restaurant hype (think the big early trio of Senate, Bakersfield, and the Eagle), our expectations are no longer very high when we enter the neighborhood for dining. When we first visited last year, though, Sacred Beast was, for us, the first OTR restaurant to blast past that now-lower threshold. The name, which seems to fit into the urban-bro aesthetic of the Vine Street restaurant row, wasn't very promising, but the menu, with its high-end-diner and higher-end-app-and-entree mix, was at least fascinating. It was a very simple dish that immediately served notice that Sacred Beast was something special: just a shaved veggie salad, but it was artfully assembled and amplified the flavors and textures of a variety of fresh vegetables you don't see every day. Almost every menu item we've had after that (three visits so far) has offered up either wonderful surprises or was simply delicious, if not both. Sacred Beast has easily surpassed our expectations. On that first night, we also had the deviled eggs. Who gets excited about those? But Holy Baby Bejeebus, these are just about the best, and most beautiful (check the photos various diners have posted), deviled eggs you've ever had. They've got chilis and pork-rind bits and are sprinkled with mustard seeds and look like they're painstakingly assembled by a pastry chef. ("This ain't no picnic," so to speak, but deviled eggs from a marvelous alternate world.) I also had the smoked salmon "lox" sandwich, which wasn't exactly the most exciting concept ever but, again, all the ingredients were very fresh, and they clicked. That night, the wife had the chili crunch chicken, which looked like a high-end version of some kind mall-food-court Chinese item--frankly, it seemed kinda ridiculous--but it ended up having huge but balanced flavors and was really good. Next time, we had the salmon tataki, and I had an apparent mainstay from the menu's entree section, the chicken schnitzel. The tataki included kimchi, which I thought might overwhelm the salmon, but they actually worked great together. And the schnitzel was topped with what amounted to a big arugula salad, which I though might ruin the crispiness of the fried chicken. But it didn't. Both dishes were excellent. On a third visit, we started with beef tartare. This, of course, wasn't the classic version with capers, etc., but instead had manchego cheese. Perhaps the first surprise that wasn't a home run, because this was a bit bland even if all of the products were top-shelf and the dish was fresh-tasting and texturally pleasing. But a cod beurre blanc really showcased the kitchen's fine-dining chops--a simple dish beautifully composed and executed. And at only $22, a good value by 2023 standards. So yeah, Sacred Beast calls itself a "diner." The wife did order the omelette (piquillo peppers and goat cheese) plate this last time. The restaurant hit that nail on the head, too. But for me, Sacred Beast's real value lies in mixing and matching items from the non-diner parts of the menu. Although slick and urbane like many other OTR restaurants, Sacred Beast is owned and operated by a family, and they seem to apply quite a bit more personalized care and imagination to what's going on here than you see elsewhere. (No "restaurant group" painting by the numbers here.) Service has been great for the most part, the cocktails are good and fairly priced, and the music program is certainly better than those of most restaurants. All pluses. All in all, one of the more satisfying restaurants in town. read more
