The diner breakfast was fantastic the lemon ricotta pancakes was so great and moist. Eggs were cooked perfect and the pork belly was so yummy. Incredibly disappointing. The menu and reviews looked amazing! The food was bland (the Wedge salad and chocolate pudding were the only things with flavor), the wine pairings were flavorless and boring - and the reds they replaced them with were worse - and the service was mediocre. Absolutely not worth the price or time. The fact that no one could carry a dish without sticking their thumbs near the food was just a bonus negative. Finally tried Sacred Beast! We had heard a lot about and read great reviews-- seemed worthy of venturing to OTR to check it out. There was an FCC game that evening -- we did not realize that meant multitudes of orange clad fans vying for dinner before walking to the game. Luckily we had a reservation, so the three of us were seated quickly. We started with drinks, then ordered the lobster bisque fries with cheese curds to share, dirty French hamburger, gnocchi with a wine sauce and the fried chicken. All was tasty. Highest votes went to the fries and the Dirty French burger (would order these again!); next the chicken (some spicy crispy things came with it) and last the gnocchi. Service was casual and friendly but slow ("Is she ever going to come back?"), due to the game crowd no doubt. One drink took a good 20 minutes to arrive, but food came out without delay assisted by servers from the kitchen. Very casual. So this review might seem short, But if I didn't have much reservation in 40 minutes I would have eaten here for sure. This was on a weekend to Cincinnati down close to Over the Rhine. Delicious Cincy breakfast, especially for out-of-towners looking for something interesting. This place has got some more items specific to this area, so it's not your regular pancakes and hash browns. We are talking oatmeal sausages, deviled eggs, neckbone gravy. As the mister is a connoisseur of deviled eggs (har har), we of course picked that. I also love any kind of western breakfast plates, so I opted for the goetta breakfast, which I haven't found in any other places in the world yet but Cincy :O We also got some pancakes to round it out. The deviled egg is almost... too scrumptious for breakfast with the pork rinds! However, it is a littttttle less flavourful than we thought it'd be even with all the ingredients like mustard seeds in it. Pretty solid over all. I've been before a few times for dinner, but this was my first time for brunch and it was as perfect as usual! We were a walk in right when they opened and they were able to get us in no problem. We sat in one of their booths which is my favorite because I like to look at their open kitchen and watch them cook. Our server was great, she was very timely and didn't rush us along as we usually take our time dining. To start we had to order the deviled eggs. It is probably my favorite thing on the menu. They are so creamy and flavorful, and the pepper and mustard seeds on top add the perfect texture and spice to them. I would come here everyday just for the deviled eggs. I also was a beverage goblin with a vanilla latte and bloody mary. The latte was good, not too sweet which is to my liking. I can be very critical of a bloody mary because I like mine thicker with spices and lots of garnishes, and this did the trick. The flavor was great, not spicy but tasty, not just a plain tomato juice. The garnishes were the best part cause I can't say no to anything pickled. They gave two pickles, an olive, a pickled onion, and a celery slice. OMG the best!! Now for my meal. I got the bread pudding french toast and got the hashbrowns with kimchi ketchup as a side for a sweet and savory combo. When the french toast came out I was worried it wasn't going to be enough, but it packs a punch. It was creamy and the bread was thick but not soggy. It melted in my mouth and wasn't overly sweet. The hash browns were cubed and fried with a golden crust, and they were perfect as well. Nice and crunchy but soft on the inside. I have to say the ketchup was the winner. Big fan of whatever playlist they had playing too. We started with some apps of the pork rinds and steak tartare. The tartare was decent but the pork rinds were delicious! A nice generous serving of them as well. For entrees we got the Chili Crunch Chicken, Fried Mortadella, and the Schnitzel. All of them were great but the Chili Crunch chicken really stood out. We visited our son in Covington over Thanksgiving 2025 and had brunch here. There were 4 adults in our party and we all loved it! It's been 4 months but I still remember how good everything tasted. I got a Bloody Mary and a huge ricotta lemon waffle but we also got Shishito peppers and deviled egg appetizers. That Bloody Mary was strong in the best way! We were in town for the weekend and decided to give this place a try for brunch on a Saturday. Unfortunately, the experience got off to a slow start. When we arrived, the hostess and manager told us a table outside would be ready in just a minute. The manager went outside to clean our table, but instead of preparing that one table and seating us, she proceeded to clean and fully set up two additional tables as well. She wiped them down, rearranged chairs, cleaned the chairs, and gathered silverware and glassware for all three tables before seating us. What was described as "just a minute" ended up being closer to 6-7 minutes while we stood waiting. Once seated, my boyfriend ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes along with other breakfast items. He found the pancakes to be very runny and undercooked in texture. When he mentioned it, he was told that's simply how they prepare them because of the ricotta. He asked if he could substitute French toast instead. At the same time, he informed the server that he had also found a hair in his eggs. The restaurant agreed to remake the meal with French toast, which we appreciated. However, the manager then came to the table specifically to let us know there would be an upcharge for the French toast. The charge itself wasn't the issue...it was the timing. After finding a hair in the food and having to wait for a replacement meal, being notified about an upcharge felt tone-deaf. I also ordered a pineapple mimosa. It arrived with very little juice and mostly champagne (no complaints), but I politely asked for a little extra pineapple juice on the side. To my surprise, I later discovered that I had been charged an additional $4 for the small amount of juice. Between the hair in the food, the replacement meal with an upcharge, and the charge for a little extra juice for my mimosa, the overall experience left us disappointed. While our waitress was nice, the customer service decisions throughout the meal (not by her) made us feel nickel-and-dimed rather than valued. Unfortunately, this isn't a place we'd be likely to return to. read more

During our fun 24 stay in Cincinnati we dined at Sacred Beast for brunch. It was really easy to make online reservations for 6 in advance. Here's the crazy thing, walking to breakfast we noticed not much is open in OTR on Sundays before 10 am. We arrived a few minutes early and there was already a line waiting at the entrance. We were able to get in quickly and were seated immediately. They had several large booths that sat 6 people, it was a cosy table and had an intimate feel. Our server arrived quickly and took our drink orders. We mostly ordered coffee, but I had a Mocktail - cranberry, lime, OJ and seltzer water, it was amazing. The crazy thing about their menu is that it's available all the time. Most of our group ordered breakfast, with the diner breakfast being the most popular choice. Everyone raves about the lemon ricotta pancake and soft scrambled eggs. I went outside the box and ordered the Dirty French burger, which was recommended. It's a single burger with Gruyère cheese, Caramelized onions and mornay sauce. It was incredibly decadent. I didn't love the gravy poivre sauce but loved all the cheesy goodness. I probably wouldn't order it again but I'm glad I tried it. Just a bit heavy for me. We also ordered the deviled eggs app, could really taste the mustard seeds but the pork rinds were only on a few, or that's how it tasted. We selected the hasbrowns and kimchi ketchup as a side. This was a unique dish, the hash browns were in rectangles and deep fried. The kimchi ketchup tasted like horseradish sauce, and found no kimchi flavors. I would recommend the hash browns. Since my last review, I have been back to Sacred Beast three times for dinner. The experience has been elevated and I now feel confident recommending to others. I find the price point for the quantity and quality of food to be very good. In particular, the chicken schnitzel is an awesome value. A GIANT helping of schnitzel with a great arugula salad for $20. Awesome. My kids also like it here. My picky one gets the lemon ricotta pancakes and fries. The other is happy ordering adult food. We typically split a few things - schnitzel, meatball, etc. I have not experienced service issues since my first visit. If anything this is one of the most attentive restaurants in OTR. read more

I've eaten here three times and each time was a gastronomical delight. First time I had the goetta breakfast. Huge goetta along with the best hash browns in the city! Second time I had the corned beef hash. Another very tasty meal! Third time I had Beets and Blue Cheese with salmon. It was fabulous. Where to even start? On Sunday 09/28/25 I made a reservation for Saturday 10/04/25 @ 7pm. We are regulars at OTR restaurants and have visited most of them in that "cluster" but had not tried Sacred Beast. We live in SE Indiana and it takes us about 35 min to drive in and we know we have to find parking in OTR so we give ourselves plenty of time. Well we arrived ahead of schedule because the drive in and parking were a breeze so we are there about 20 min early. The hostesses told us our table wasn't ready and it would probably be ready hopefully by 7. They told us we could have a seat and then pointed to 2 chairs that were separated by a coat rack or we could sit at the bar. We chose the bar. We were greeted immediately but then completely ignored for the next almost 15 minutes. Finally got our drinks and our table was ready. We were seated at a two top table (which was great) right next to the patio door. My back is now right where everyone going in and out to the patio has to pass by. This is not relaxing or enjoyable. We made reservations, waited all week, arrived on time and waited patiently to find out that Sacred Beast wasn't going to give us the same level of attention that we had given them.
