Had a great lunch here. Our server was fantastic- she was attentive, friendly and very helpful. I ordered the lime cilantro chicken salad. The flavor was excellent. The atmosphere was calm and inviting. Of course the wine is always good!

"Side salad" is a handful of wilted greens

Terrible service. Terrible food. Good for wine and that's about it. 5:30 diner reservations. Sat at 5:45. Got drinks at 6:15. Ordered food 6:45. Got food 7:45. Most food was cold. "Side salad" is a handful of wilted greens. "Blackened mahi" was a partial piece of fish without seasoning. Finished 5:30 dinner at 8:00. No ambiance, no service. Just a wanna be wine and steak house.

Our food took over an hour to come out, which was disappointing. When we first walked in, the restaurant smelled strongly like BO and urine, which immediately put us off. The drinks were delicious, but waiting that long for food is just not good business. Definitely not a great experience.

We had a large group with a reservation and the staff was ready, the food was fantastic and the atmosphere was amazing. We will definitely return and I'm looking forward to checking out other locations for business dinners.

It wasn't my first time at a Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant, but it was my first visit to this location. While visiting Cincinnati, I decided to try this place for dinner. I arrived during happy hour and chose to sit at the bar. I ordered a cocktail, a cup of soup, and the shaved prime sliders. The cocktail was just okay. The crab, shrimp, and lobster bisque was served hot and was good, although I wished it had a bit more seafood. The prime sliders were the perfect portion, and I enjoyed them. Overall, it was a good experience, and the service was quick.

Christmas lunch with work party. The place was jumping at lunch time we had a reservation so smooth sailing. The waiter was friendly efficient an knowledgeable. He recommend appetizers that were best for sharing. The short rib flat bread was good but the Tuna sashimi was my favorite. For a main l ordered the gnocchi with short ribs. Nice size serving that was light and cooked perfectly. I had a couple glasses of the Cabernet and it was a nice size pour.

This was my first time going to Cooper's Hawk and I loved it! I had tried a wine at a friend's house from here that I loved and then asked my husband to take me here for dinner. I love the little wine tasting area when you walk in - either waiting for your dinner or coming for a tasting stand alone. The food was absolutely delicious. I would recommend the brussels sprouts and the gnocchi à la vodka was so good!! Favorite wines were the Barbra and Sangria Red

I believe our server's name was Stacie and she was an excellent representative for this location. if I'm wrong I do know she wears a beautiful birthstone necklace. As this was our first time, she was able to give us feedback on a few of the dishes that we asked about before making our decision. I had the pork chop lunch size. As you can see by the plate, only thing left was the silverware. My companion had zero complaints about his ahi burger and fries and my daughter's chicken tenders had good flavor as well. The flight of wine ordered was lovely as was the glass of moscato that I ordered. The overall experience was excellent and we are already planning our next visit up.

We were in the area so we stopped here for lunch. We've eaten dinner at the one in Liberty Twp so we knew the vibe was about wine. We tried the Grilled Mahi sandwich ($17.99) and the Soup & Sandwich combo ($19.99). A glass of wine was $11 and a soft drink was $4.99. $70 with tax and tip. The term "upscale" seems to have become a euphemism for "more expensive than you thought it was going to be". I rated it 3 stars for several reasons. First, the food tasted very salty, almost to the point of us sending it back but we didn't because we had been waiting almost 30 minutes and were hungry. The slow service was reason two. Reason three was the price point. Five bucks for a coke? Twenty bucks for a soup and sandwich? The food was OK but the value just wasn't there. And reason four was the noise level. It was so loud I couldn't take an incoming cell phone call. Having said all that, they didn't seem to be hurting for business on a Friday afternoon so all I can say is it seems there are a lot of people out there who really like the place. If you're one of them, I think you'll find this Coopers Hawk a great place for lunch or dinner.

I had such an amazing wine tasting with friends that I left with a wine club membership. I started with the sweet wine. The wines originate tasting space is beautiful I believe the have the longest tables for wine tasting unlike the livery location which is fairly small. After the tasting I order a prime rib sandwich it's fries and it was very yummy. Great service !

We went on a Wednesday and it was just as packed as a Saturday, so book ahead of time. Luckily, we made it in time for happy hour drinks just before 5:30. Our server, Michele, was fantastic. She was funny, accommodating, and truly made the night. The prime burger was incredible, especially with her recommendation to add fontina cheese and mushrooms. Looking forward to another reason to make it out there.

Had a nice patio lunch here with co workers. I got the Asian sesame chicken salad which was a generous portion. It had so many great components to it although it seemed to be missing the edamame. I have been craving this salad ever since and was even considering trying to duplicate it at home. I also got a mojito which was refreshing. Our server was nice and kept waters filled. There is an upper and lower lot to accommodate parking at busy times.

phenomenal food as always. have never had a bad thing from their menu. the service was great and we were seated in a more quiet part of the restaurant this time which was very nice.

Ask the Community - Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant

Are you still taking reservations on Open Table? They show that you have nothing available - EVER!

I make reservations for CH all the time on Open Table. Are you possibly trying to place last minute or are there 6 or more in your party? I have noticed reservations fill up a lot faster than they used to pre-pandemic.

Do you have food options for those who cannot eat dairy?

I am a patron. Yes. There are many food options for those who cannot eat dairy. The food at Coopers Hawk is excellent. Too bad you can't eat dairy.

Where can I make a reservation for Coopers Hawk?

Hello Nancy, Thank you for contacting Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurants. You may use OpenTable…

I am getting a reservation at 5:15 on a Friday to take advantage of their happy hour. Any wine recommendations for someone that rarely drinks wine (I normally drink craft beer)?

Try a flight. You get to try 4. White is better for a new wine person!

I honestly remember being told it was one of the first couple tours they did. So here we are, on a used yellow school bus with a bunch of strangers having no idea what to expect and honestly expectations were becoming cloudy, but we were up for a good time no matter what. What became crystal clear rather quickly was the owner knew a lot about the brewery history of the area, appreciated it, and was on fire for the quest for great beer. Damn if that doesn't sound like a cause I can get behind! Right after the first stop of drinks, a tour and chat with a brewer with some Q&A, we all didn't seem like strangers anymore. There was so much interaction between us all during the stop, all barriers were gone. Just a bunch of folks who had that same fire, a love of great beer. Flash forward to today, obviously the school bus got retired and Cincy Brew Bus has established themselves as the premiere brewery tour company in the greater Cincy area. We've taken several tours over the years from them during various stages of growth, and no matter what ends up being different... one thing remains constant. The fire for great beer, the transfer of it's rich history -it's effect on the area, and how it all comes together in the brewing process remains the solid focus for Mike and his team. We are still friends with many of those we've taken these tours with. If you're looking for something great to do in the area, this should be high on your list. Honestly, you're missing out if you don't.

I would've liked there to be more cider options included as I'm gluten intolerant that is the only reason it isn't 5 stars. We did get to try one called swizzle at Rheingeist that was delicious. Ordering tickets and choosing our seats online was quick and easy. The theater itself was very small - about 30 seats. The recliners were comfy and even were heated, if you wanted. It's a smaller establishment, with a nice vibe. The concession stand was right as you walk in, and looked more like a candy store and then through another set of doors, they had a nicely stocked bar and lots of seating and tables in a very nice lounge area. The whole place, including the restrooms was clean and well taken care of. It is quite a drive for us, but I will definitely keep an eye open for special events like the one we went to. My husband on the other hand was the recipient of a number of things that he did not order - those were promptly taken away when he summoned staff and told them of the issue - and he never received the popcorn that he did order. 4) The chicken sandwich was fine - nothing special, but I have no complaints about it. I didn't care for the fries, I prefer shoestring fries and these were too chunky for me. 5) I learned that I don't like eating in the dark. I prefer to be able to see what I'm eating.

I also LOVE the setup here. You pay first, get your food second, and everything just seems to run smoothly. No unnecessary waiting around trying to figure out what's going on. My wife and I usually rotate between the pancakes, the hash, the Northstar Burger, or the potato hash. Honestly, you really can't go wrong with any of them. The food is always fresh, portions are good, and everything comes out looking like somebody actually cared about what they put on the plate. We probably go once or twice a week, especially for brunch. At this point, Northstar is basically family. And if you're like us and pretty picky about where you eat, this is definitely one that gets the stamp of approval. Great food, good atmosphere, and consistently solid service. One more thing: I believe they play jazz after 6 PM Monday through Friday, which is always a nice little bonus. Overall, definitely recommend if you're looking for good food with a nice ambiance. Northstar has a permanent spot in our rotation!
