Second time doing this tour and was happier with our first experience about 4 years ago rather than the one we did in February 2025. We bought this for our parents for their christmas gift and were suprised to see we were going on a school bus rather than the party bus that was pictured, it wasnt cleaned. If we would have been notified about this we would have changed our date where it would be available. The bus driver also went down a few wrong way roads and took some wrong turns which was concerning. the beer and food options were good at each stop. read more

One birthday many years ago, my wife thought it would be cool to take a tour of local breweries. Somehow though the power of the internet, we found Cincy Brew Bus, an experiment of sorts - which we found was just starting out. I honestly remember being told it was one of the first couple tours they did. So here we are, on a used yellow school bus with a bunch of strangers having no idea what to expect and honestly expectations were becoming cloudy, but we were up for a good time no matter what. What became crystal clear rather quickly was the owner knew a lot about the brewery history of the area, appreciated it, and was on fire for the quest for great beer. Damn if that doesn't sound like a cause I can get behind! Right after the first stop of drinks, a tour and chat with a brewer with some Q&A, we all didn't seem like strangers anymore. There was so much interaction between us all during the stop, all barriers were gone. Just a bunch of folks who had that same fire, a love of great beer. Flash forward to today, obviously the school bus got retired and Cincy Brew Bus has established themselves as the premiere brewery tour company in the greater Cincy area. We've taken several tours over the years from them during various stages of growth, and no matter what ends up being different... one thing remains constant. The fire for great beer, the transfer of it's rich history -it's effect on the area, and how it all comes together in the brewing process remains the solid focus for Mike and his team. We are still friends with many of those we've taken these tours with. If you're looking for something great to do in the area, this should be high on your list. this was an excellent tour. it made four stops, from a small-batch micro-brew to a larger restaurant that makes their own beer. I'm not sure if they always stop at the same places, but every stop we made was excellent. a couple of them served food too (which is a good idea to help soak up the beer) our guide (wish I could remember his name, but he was one of the founders) was fantastic. I didn't realize Cincinnati had such a rich beer-making culture and history and the guide did a great job talking about it one small suggestion. by the end of the tour, a lot of the people were getting pretty tipsy, were talking to each other and not listening to anything the guide said. I'd front load the history and background so the guide can relax at the end of the tour too highly recommended, whether you're a tourist or local! read more

This is a hard call. The promise is that you'll go to three breweries on the tour and you do and they all seem good. Here's the rub, you're not alone on the trip and the guide has a significant impact on what you'll be drinking. Our group of seven was pretty vocal in our distaste for IPAs - but we still ended up sampling three out of our nine total samples. Surely in a town as well known for beer as Cincinnati there were other choices. Each bar had three sample, but it was the same three samples for everyone - all selected by the guide and he didn't survey his audience to see what their tastes were - he based the selection on... well I don't know what it was based on. The bus was not as well cooled as it could have been be because they don't have an audio system for the driver /guide. So it's either hear the guide's description or have the temp under 85. But not both. So it was hot in our bus and not really what I was expecting in terms of comfort between breweries. Also, two of the the breweries are in the suburbs so there is a long drive out to them despite the presence of many breweries in the city limits. Our guide Dave was knowledgeable and helpful. He seemed to know the history of the area and of the beer in Cincinnati. I'm not sure he's to blame for the brew choices, it might be a side effect of the way the tours are conducted. In short, I thought the tour was OK, but should either be significantly more comfortable and cater more specifically to the individual tastes, or should be more local and significantly less expensive. read more

Decided to try this for my wife's 39th birthday last night and glad we did! Jared was amazing and the tour was really fun! We got to sample 9, 6oz beers in a cute glass you get to keep. They also provide Servatti pretzels if the alcohol content catches up to you or you just want a snack in between breweries. You can drink on the bus and they also have a cooler if you purchase a growler or six packs at any of the breweries along the way. We did the 7 pm tour that met at the Rock Bar in Jack Casino. From there we went to Madtree, Braxton, and Rheingeist. Our driver and guide Jared was super nice and fun to be with. We ended up getting extra beer at reach stop for free because we were splitting 2 pitchers of each beer type amongst 10 in our group. We got back to Jack at about 10:45. We had a great time and I would highly recommend this to anyone! read more

What an awesome experience. Definitely something fun to do on a Saturday afternoon. We did the Cincy Original Tour and stopped at Rivertown, Braxton, Rhinegeist, and Tafts. Braxton was my favorite. The 'Toaster' is a medium amber ale and pairs well with Holtman's Cinnamon Toast Crunch! Yum! You get 3 samples at each place, but if they aren't super busy, you can go up to the bar and try additional beers, just ask to try and they don't charge! Make sure you eat before you go!!! read more

I went on a brew tour and it was awesome! We met at the Rock Bar at the Jack Casino. There were about 15 of us on the tour. We got pretzel necklaces and hopped aboard the bus! We went to four breweries and spent about an hour at each. The cost of the tour included beer tastings at all sites. We also ordered additional beers if we found one we really enjoyed. The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the breweries. He occasionally quizzed us and gave out beer cozies as a price. The tour included the history of beers in the Cincinnati area, which I found fascinating! We then visited three different breweries in the area. Our guide interacted with the crowd, and taught us some interesting trivia too. My husband and I had previously done the wine tour and really enjoyed that. My only suggestion would be that patrons choose what they get to sample. Our guide took our feedback for sure, but it would have been nice to have the choices. read more

For the price, I don't think this was worth it. I was with a group of 10 people, celebrating my friend's birthday. We got picked up at the casino and went to 3 breweries in 3 hours: 50 West Production Works, Blank Slate, and Listermann. I have nothing against the breweries, they were great, as usual. I had been to all but Listermann so I knew what to expect at the breweries. My biggest complaint was that while our tour guide seemed very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions, he really only gave us a tour of 50 West. We didn't get tours in Blank Slate or Listermann. Also he didn't really have many fun stories or anything to make it exciting...It was just a textbook explanation of how beer was made. Yes, he was super knowledgeable, but I was still kind of bored. Loved the beers, but I could have saved a lot of money and just gotten an Uber from brewery to brewery if there weren't going to be any tours. read more

A great way to get around the city experience some great craft brews. We visited MadTree, Braxton, and Rhinegeist. Our friendly tour guide, Brian, gave us enough info to satisfy our curiosity without being overly professorial. He took our personal beer tastes into consideration when selecting beers to sample and got us in to see the brewing operations in a couple of the tour stops. For our private tour, we were able to get dropped off at Mecklenburg Gardens as a final stop before going to an FC Cincinnati game. I would totally recommend this as an option for a private tour of Cinci's wonderful craft brew scene! read more

We had a blast! We rented the entire bus, about 13 people. We visited Mt. Carmel, Braxton, Moerlein and Mad Tree. Our guide, Jeff, was great. He very knowledgeable about each brewery and also inserted Cincinnati history and brewing facts in along the way. His passion for beer was obvious. He also kept us moving along, which after a few drinks was like herding cats. We were able to have flights at 2 of the 4 stops (Mt. Carmel and Moerlein), full pints at the other two. The Brew Bus also provided giant pretzels and water for us. Can't wait to book the Wine Wagon and maybe even the bourbon tour coming next year. The only downside, I wish you could see out of the windows of the bus (they are covered in marketing / logos). Would have been nice to see where we were. read more

My mom LOVES donuts so I treated her to the donut trail bus tour for her birthday. Our tour guide Jason was delightful. He knew all kinds of donut trivia which made the trip very interesting. He was super with helping my 82 year old mom on and off the bus. All of shops provided a unique experience and delicious donuts. I highly recommend checking this out if you love donuts. read more

I truly wish I could give more than 5 stars to this fabulous company... It is AWESOME! We booked with Cincy Brew Bus for a surprise 60th birthday for my in-laws and it was the BEST time! First off, they were super fast with all communication booking and leading up to the event. They were able to accommodate picking us up at our home (for a reasonable fee) which worked out perfectly for the surprise. Jeff was our driver/tour guide and he was a blast! Super knowledgeable, personable, funny...we couldn't have asked for a better guy to take care of us all day! He picked some great beers for us to sample at each location...We all really enjoyed the pitcher system vs your typical pours/flights/samples. We did a 4 Brewery tour and hit Woodburn, Bad Tom Smith, Fifty West, and Nine Giant. All were fabulous. Jeff kept things running smoothly and perfectly on time -- felt like we spent just the right amount of time at each location, we weren't rushed and we didn't get bored. This tour is decent but way too slow. 6 1/2 hours at 4 breweries is way too long. And not necessarily the tours fault, but the clientele is ridiculous. Hillbilly, loud, obnoxious. We did the Eastside tour which was interesting but could have been accomplished in a couple less hours. Also didn't get any tours. read more
