    1. Parmesan-Crusted Pork Chop This plate came out looking…read moreserious. The pork chops had that golden, crunchy sear that lets you know the chef didn't cheat the pan. The crust is seasoned well, giving each bite a savory crunch before you hit the juicy center. The sauce on the bottom adds flavor but also runs a little thin, so it doesn't cling as much as you'd expect. The mashed potatoes are smooth, and those crispy fried onions on top add the right texture. Solid, comforting, and flavorful -- just needed a thicker reduction to tighten the plate. 2. Gnocchi with Braised Short Rib Sauce This dish is exactly what comfort food wants to be when it grows up. The gnocchi is soft, pillowy, and coated in a rich, slow-simmered sauce that tastes like somebody took their time building layers. You get a blend of tomato, parmesan, herbs, and that short rib flavor that carries the whole bowl. It's heavy -- in a good way -- and every bite feels like fall weather in a bowl. Definitely one of the stronger dishes. 3. Parmesan-Crusted Chicken with Green Beans & Tomato Relish The chicken is fried to that perfect "crisp but not greasy" level. The parmesan crust gives it a nutty, salty pop, while the tomato pieces add freshness to cut through the richness. The shredded parmesan on top melts just enough to tie everything together. The green beans are cooked right -- not soggy, still with a snap. The side dish (mac & cheese, most likely) is creamy with a buttery breadcrumb top that adds the right crunch. Overall, a well-balanced plate. 4. Spaghetti & Meatballs This is classic Italian comfort done the Cooper's Hawk way. The sauce is thick, tangy, and bright with tomato flavor. The meatballs are tender and seasoned well, and the touch of ricotta on top softens the acidity and makes the sauce creamy as you mix it in. The pasta is cooked right -- not mushy, not stiff, easy to twirl. Simple, hearty, and dependable. Overall Impression Cooper's Hawk came through with a table full of comfort and richness. Everything was plated well, seasoned properly, and cooked with intention. The standout dishes are the gnocchi and the parmesan-crusted chicken, but nothing on the table missed the mark.

I love the little wine tasting area when you walk in - either waiting for your dinner or coming for a tasting stand alone. The food was absolutely delicious. And yet here it is, a dine-in movie theater next to Cincinnati's busiest shopping district that isn't owned by AMC, Cinemark or the like. Just a unique theater experience where you wouldn't expect to find one. As you walk in, there's a small concession stand where you can buy popcorn and some other smaller snacks. But the real move is to order food from your seat. Once you get to the theater, you can recline and heat your seat (really!) and press a button to summon a server to take your order. I'll admit I wasn't thrilled about the menu at first glance, but after looking at other options around Kenwood mall the prices began to look a lot more reasonable. We decided to order dinner at the theater along with a huge bowl of (refillable) popcorn. We weren't able to get into the theater until about 15 minutes before showtime. I'm not sure if that's standard or something specific to the movie and theater we were there for. It was no big deal, but didn't leave a lot of time to order and get our food before the movie started. We there with a group of six and ordered 2nd out of three sets of couples. But for some reason were last to get our food, well into the beginning of the movie. Popcorn came out first during the trailers, along with a Coke Zero that my husband and I shared. When dinner eventually showed up everything was hot and delicious, but I didn't pay a lot of attention to it because the movie was already well underway. It's also a bit hard to see your food once the movie starts so keep that in mind--don't get anything too sloppy or messy. The chicken quesadilla is maybe at the limit of sloppy. Manageable but be careful. Overall, this theater has a lot of pros: Locally owned, good food, small theaters, interesting movie selection, convenience of eating while watching a movie. However, it looses a few points for me for the 15-minute restriction on entering the theater and the delay in getting food once ordered. I get the convenience factor but I personally would rather eat in the brighter light during the trailers + before the movie I'm here to see starts.

I didn't love my pizza but my friend had good chicken tenders. The popcorn was better. A different friend did unlimited refills! We pulled…read moreinto the Queen City, saw a billboard advertising that it was happening that day, and decided to check it out. What was a crazy mass of people grabbing for as many chocolate treats as possible has only gotten crazier. Our first visit saw a fighting chance. Now, talking to vendors to learn about them, and their craft is nearly impossible. The stream of people keeps pushing forward, and one gets swept away from the booths. As the event has grow, this has continued to be the case. (All pre COVID, not sure how this will be safely handled in the future.) While we have tried some amazing treats, thus introducing us to some amazing local businesses, it is hard to truly enjoy the experience. Chocolate should be savored. It is hard to do that here. The only exception is the children's play area. This is consistently a ghost town. My children have enjoyed playing the games, gettibg balloons, or whatever else has been offered. The area is kind of like a section of an elementary school carnival.

There were A LOT of different vendors and a lot of chocolaty things to see. I recommend walking through at least once so that you can decide what samples you are most interested in tasting. My only complaint is that the later it gets in the day the more congested the event is. We arrived right when it opened and that was a VERY wise decision. We were kind of crammed together with loads of other pushy people right before we left and that was not ideal. We also upgraded to tickets that included the Bella Luna lounge and wine tasting. This was a great value. Bella Luna provided small bites of (not chocolate) food like pasta and bruchetta. There were 5 wine tastings included in the price and they were very generous pours. I would attend again.
