    Turkey club

Came here for lunch and we enjoyed the sandwiches! I loved the chopped cheese and my son liked the turkey club. It wasn't very busy, but the food took a little longer than expected to come out. Ingredients were fresh and it was good. We liked the outdoor seating in the back. We plan to come back and try more sandwiches and a coffee next time.

LOVE Daylily, what a special little bodega! The local market is missing out on bodegas, a quick place to run in and grab a quality sandwich, farm fresh veggies, and a warm latte. Daylily serves up the most delicious chopped cheese I've ever had. It can easily be split into two meals or shared, especially if you add a side of potato salad. The deli has a selection of meats and cheeses as well as sandwiches made to order. The fridge and shelves are always well stocked with local fruits, veggies, meat, and cheeses from local businesses. You can even grab a gorgeous bouquet from Eve Floral Co on the way out! Street parking is free, there's a covered patio in the back right off the bike trail. However, the bar facing the street is cozy and a fun spot to people watch while sipping on a coffee.

Really enjoyed my two visits to Daylily. Both times, I had the egg salad on rye. They are generous sandwiches and hit the spot! Mostly, I love the concept of Daylily. I wish my neighborhood had a bodega like this where you can stop by for a sandwich and some groceries/sundries you might need for home.

Quaint little spot in an older neighbor. Appears to be mostly a local spot with beer and wine. Coffee and a deli. Prices were decent. Just needed something cold. Has a few outdoor seats. Service was good.

Three words: Chopped. Cheese. Sandwich. I've not yet had the pleasure of experiencing a true NY bodega/deli ... but after a visit to Daylily in Columbia Tusculum, I can totally appreciate the vibe. I'm already a fan of Deeper Roots Coffee, so it wasn't a hard decision to start with one of their "Honey Bear" lattes. It ~was~ a challenge to decide which sandwich I wanted ... so I asked the cashier for a recommendation, and her first question was whether or not I ate meat! I so appreciate the plant-based inclusivity. She said the Chopped Cheese is a customer favorite, and after absolutely devouring one of these delicious sandwiches, I can see why. It's got all of the memorable flavors of a cheeseburger (ground meat and American cheese) but then it's topped with banana peppers, veggies, and a special sauce, and served on a hoagie roll. Seriously ... don't miss out on this incredible sandwich. Daylily does have a few booths inside - but on a nice day, their patio is where it's at. I can absolutely see myself stopping by this summer for a working lunch outdoors - especially since they have free WiFi!

I'm already looking forward to my next visit here! I was extremely impressed by the local miniature store inside the cafe. It has a tiny grocery store feel with local produce and goods, including a wall of international wine selections. They even have an aesthetic rest stop vibe with easy-to-grab conveniences such as menstrual pads, toothpaste, soap bars, drain cleaner, and Day-quill. To-go i got a tub of whole milk maple yogurt and a black-and-white gluten free fresh cookie that tasted similar to Busken's tea cookies. To drink, I got a chai latte with oat milk (they offer two plant based milks, oat and macadamia) with a shot of espresso. I shared with my mom the grilled cheese and charred veggie sandwiches, both with gluten free bread. The menu has vegetarian options clearly labeled. The gluten free bread does share a toaster with regular bread, however. We enjoyed our meal in the "backyard," which is beautiful and airy with picnic benches and you could enjoy the weather mixed with lots of bird songs. This was located close to the gender neutral bathrooms at the back of the cafe. The staff were all very friendly and all hard at work making food and restocking the mini store. All customers got their orders fairly quickly, with a great attitude from the staff - especially for it being a Monday. Thank you Daylily!

Stopped by Daylilly to check it out and really enjoyed it. It's the kind of place every neighborhood would need. I've heard great things about the breakfast but it was lunch time when we went. Service was friendly and food arrived quickly. We ordered the chicken salad sandwich on rye and the mushroom soup. The sandwich was dope with the bread perfectly toasted. Came with tomatoes, lettuce, and thinly sliced red onion. The soup was pretty good, more like a vegetable stew. Needed a bit of salt. The vibes are great. Love the store side with cool dry goods.

I couldn't wait to try Daylily when I heard about it, and it did not disappoint! While the food is great, what I love about this little bodega is the small grocery store/market in the back. You can find fresh grown produce like mushrooms, tomatoes, lettuce and peppers, as well as different types of non-dairy milks, snacks and drinks. Need a couple ingredients for dinner? Pop on over and grab what you need. They also have a coffee bar, partnering with Deeper Roots to make that happen. I had a cortado with orange of some sort and it was very tasty. They also have some unique drinks - I enjoyed the cola tasting hydration tonic, a "good for you" version of a coke full of healthy ingredients. Once the weather is nicer, their outdoor patio will be perfect for coming and relaxing with friends. It's huge and spacious with plants and heaters for when it's chilly. I highly recommend coming to grab a sandwich for lunch while exploring everything else they have to offer.

Small and quirky. Will return , and not my first time here. It's cute for breakfast and lunch . The coffees are great and the sandwiches are just as good.

Daylily is such a fun place if you want breakfast, lunch, a coffee, or need to grab a few things you forgot at the grocery store. The girl who took our order was super helpful as it was our first time there-- she recommended I upgrade the Maple Leaf signature drink into a latte, and it was so delicious! Pictured here is the Egg on a Roll with goetta, but we also got the Burrito of Champions and it was the best breakfast burrito we've ever had (so good we forgot to take a photo). I love the seating area in the back because it's a very unique place, super cute random items & wine selection, along with alot of groceries you might need! Definitely will be back! One of my favorite parts was that you could purchase Tony's chocolate bars at the counter.

Cute little cafe / quick shop across from the Carnegie Center of Columbia Tusculum, which I only mention because we sat at the bar at the store front looking across the street at that fine structure. We stopped at Daylily looking for a quick lunch and we found it. I had a tasty grilled cheese sandwich - the bread and cheese were delicious! Daughter had a turkey and Swiss sandwich pressed in the panini press (custom order that was nicely accommodated on this Monday afternoon). A bag of kettle chips and a couple of drinks from the fridge section and we were set. It was exactly what we wanted. We easily found parking in the street and there was no line to order, no problem finding a seat. After writing this I read some of the other reviews. My assessment: try not to get hung up on preconceived notions based on who owns this joint. Stop in because you want a quick bite in a clean, friendly place with a good cook at the grill. We did and it was great!

I need to take a second to give this place the review they deserve. This is my second time trying daylily and I LOVE IT! - I haven't tried the other items on the menu yet, but they all sound delicious and I must come back for more. I got their Cubano and oooof, it was so good. I love how crispy the bread was, and so tasty. I will say, though, that the bottom of the sandwich was soggy. 90% of the bread was crispy, warm and delicious but the bottom was soggy, so maybe something to keep in mind. The staff is very friendly and generous, and they get orders out fast! It's a cute concept since it's a bodega style, and today was a beautiful, sunny day so we got to eat in their backyard, which was lovely! I can't wait to come back and try more items on the menu. So delicious!!
