The food is always fresh and absolutely amazing. They always have the most unique selection, including wines, cheeses, deli selections, and a make your own Ramen station. Whether you're dining in or taking out, this is an all in one stop shop. The staff members are very welcoming. My favorite is definitely the jambalaya and I always get a side of rice! read more

I'm a neighbor to Sunshine and an avid customer. They have a little bit of everything here perfect for hosting last minute or a quick snack. Everything from sweet Korean treats, frozen convenience foods, beer, wine and even a lemon or lime. Their deli food is reasonably priced and really fire for lunch! I'll always come back and support a local business downtown. read more

I have been meant to try their Korean lunch. There were three choices - Beef, pork and chicken. We ordered Korean Bulgogi (beef) and Spicy Pork. These came with generous portion of white rice. They were made to order and fresh. The service was quick. There were seating areas to eat on site which we were not aware. The portion was generous and they were delicious. A great value. I highly recommend Korean lunch menu for $8.99 each. We will be back for sure. Sunshine Fine Foods is a hidden gem! read more

The best place and nicest owner! All the best snacks, and so convenient, my absolute go to spot now

Sunshine Fine Foods is basically a small convenience store, focusing primarily on Asian packaged foods. The store changed ownership and the new name gives the impression it's a gourmet food store, which it is not. The store still has the "deli" in the back of the store, serving hot soups, salads, and sandwiches. The food quality is good, but expensive for the serving size. It's a good place when you are in a pinch and new a quick to-go lunch, but its not a daily lunch spot--not for me. read more

Sunshine Fine Foods is a Gem in the Downtown Cincinnati area. Very unique and the food is very authentic. The service was very quick and friendly. I ordered Beef Bulgogi and did not have to wait long to have a delicious meal priced very well. The music was perfect, very calming and the Deli was very clean with great and unique selections. Just perfect! My husband and my daughter are both half Korean, so I appreciate the authenticity. Keep up the amazing work!! :) read more

This place is close to where I work so I don't mind paying for convenience, however, I miss the twins - They brought character and good customer service to the deli and were fun. I've noticed their food selection has been cut in half and the new staff seems...overwhelmed. I'm thinking I'm going to have to find a new place to go. read more

Quality has gone down since the twins got fired. No passion anymore and servings are small. My turkey wrap was mostly tomatoes. The twins who used to work their made Sunshine and cared about customers. Place isn't what it used to be. This change is not the good change needed. read more

Under the new ownership. This place has tasty quality sandwiches and wide selection of Ramen noodles. Must try Jambalaya soup!

I see a lot of hype around these "twins". Here's what I have to say: there is a determined Asian boy that works often when I come in. He is truly a master of his craft and makes sweet, sweet meals for me to enjoy. This worker and the manger, an older, shorter gentleman are always smiling and joking about. It's a small little joint but it sure does pack a punch! I love this store. read more

Sunshine fine foods is a great place to stop in for a few grocery items or a lunch sandwich! The staff is always super friendly and helpful. I've been in a few times to get some wine or a few ingredients I needed for a recipe, but this past weekend was my first time getting a sandwich to go... and let me say, it won't be my last! Their special of the day was a turkey and salami combo with chips. They have all the fixings you would want to add and some special boars-head spreads. I chose to add the chipotle spread which gave my sandwich some nice heat. They also have a great selection of chicken salad and different pasta salads if you are in the mood for something lighter. For the sandwich and chips, it was about $7, which I think is a great deal! Can't wait to come back for a quick lunch during the work week or to pick up some goodies for a weekend picnic! read more

I work semi locally to sunshine fine foods so I often find myself going there for lunch. Before recently, I was treated very inconsistently on visits, specifically, two twins that were very moody and inefficient workers. I noticed that when these twins were working, my food was usually short portioned or incorrect. Since about August, I've noticed a kind hearted bald man that is always joyful and energetic. He is a joy to be around and always is concerned with the customers' well being. Sunshine Fine Foods is a quaint little place that dishes good food and better vibrations. Safe to say that SFF is on the up and up. Makes me happy to see small businesses making improvements. Cincinnati needs more of this! read more

This place is great. My go to lunch spot downtown. Daily specials are the way to go. Inexpensive and quality food.

Stopped in for the meat loaf sandwich and au gratin potato special. The food was delicious - generous portions and tasted homemade. The meatloaf was flavorful and tender. The staff was super nice and helpful. Highly recommend! read more

I tried one of their specials, a baked cod sandwich, and oh my god was it delicious. The piece of cod was sizable and it was so flaky and baked to perfection. It wasn't greasy at all. I believe it was about $7-8 for the sandwich + chips or cole slaw. The sandwich was worth 5 stars and I will definitely get it again the next time I see it. I also tried a honey turkey sandwich and that was packed with fresh turkey. Highly recommend trying their deli. The deli sandwiches are reasonably priced, but I do wish they would list the prices for the deli products or have some sort of menu (especially listing what specials are when). I'm not a fan of waiting until you pay to find out how much you're spending (or having to ask prices about multiple products). As a convenience store, Sunshine Fine Foods is very clean and has basic staples. The prices are higher than you'd pay at Kroger, but seeing as there aren't really any grocery stores downtown, the convenience makes up for it. read more

This is a nice little market with good food. I used t get lunch here when I worked down town. The club sandwich and chili are delicious. I will say their Mac and cheese is not their strongest dish. Definitely good for a quick lunch. Sometimes they have outdoor seating. If not, you can really only get your food to go. read more

My mother has been receiving delivery from this company for years. For a number of reasons, we moved in a different direction and started shopping elsewhere in mid-July, 2020. Since that time, the proprietor has continued to charge my mother's visa credit card, racking up charges of more than $13,000 charges in two months. We have launched a fraud investigation with the bank. I have attempted to contact the proprietor to rectify the situation and, if there is a mistake or misunderstanding that would clear this up and validate these charges, to give her an opportunity to explain the situation. I have recevied nothing in response. Until we investigate fully, I cannot legally accuse her of theft, but an investigation has been launched. BEWARE. read more

The only thing better than the delicious food they make/serve, is the amazing customer service. I order lunch from their deli at least 4 times a week, and I frequently buy fresh fruit and veggies from their store. Every single time I visit I am greeted with a 'hello' and a smile, thanked for my business, and thoroughly enjoy my experience while I'm there. If you are in the Downtown Cincinnati neighborhood, do yourself a favor and stop in to experience what Downtowners have had the good fortune to enjoy for years. read more

Great little grocery store. Good selection for a small shop. Nice deli, some fruit, lots of packaged choices. Friendly folks!

This just happened. I am at work, get plans done for a project that has to get out by the 1st. WELL I go to the Sunshine, to get something for lunch. I haven't been there in quite awhile, because I get sick whenever they touch the food I order. So I said, I don't feel like walking far I will go there. So as I am waiting in line the LADY working the meat counter, coughs into her hand, and goes on to make a sandwich. let me repeat that. The soup nazi does exist and he owns the Sunshine Deli. I swear Seinfeld was inspired by this guy. He's an alright guy if you're in there on a daily basis, but for new people entering the place, beware, he can come off as a complete asshole. Come on, the regulars know exactly what I'm talking about. What to try: Mock Turtle soup on Wednesdays, and the chicken salad is delightful. read more

Great place to stop grab lunch. I work downtown and this location is convenient for me to get in and out of quickly on my break. The ladies getting the orders out are very kind and personable. The employees are quick and accurate. The food is great! I prefer to get the ham, hard boiled egg, and cheese sandwich. They also offer salads and soups, as well as a small selection of grocery items. Beer and soda, tea and water. I love the Sunshine Fine Foods deli. read more

It is a great place to stop and shop if you are out of milk or bread, but don't want to make a trip to the grocery. They have ice, which is great and handy if you are packing the cooler for a long trip or a picknick. Do realize that they are a small business at a prime location, they have rent to pay so there is a sizeable mark up on most of their products. In most cases the convenience is worth it. read more

Fairly boring deli inside a decent size corner market. Had a meatloaf sandwich which was moist and flavorful - and browsed through an assortment of other dry goods and typical snack items. I think I'd rather go across the street to Izzy's. read more

Great for a quick bite to eat...or just grabbing some milk on the way home. The deli counter ladies are very warm and friendly...and they make a mean turkey sandwich. There's about an inch tall stack of meat on these things...yeah! They also have a nice selection of things you might want to pick up instead of driving to the store: staples like paper towels, wine, and Graeter's ice cream by the pint...you know, the important things in life! read more

Stopped by Sunshine Fine Foods for lunch during work and was extremely disappointed. I tried the New England Clam Chowder and Hot Mac and Cheese (which was the special). The NE Clam Chowder was ok. Not terrible and not great. You know when saltines make the difference, its not the best you can do for lunch. The mac and cheese was grainy and not homemade. The ladies working the deli and cash counter were very nice. They do have a small amount of grocery items and Greater's pints. So I can see the appeal. If lived down town I would probably stop in there for wine and cookies. But if you're looking for lunch try any of your other restaurant options (suggestion: Gilpin's Steamed Sandwhiches). read more

I'm kind of a soup fiend. I've been here at least 3x this week to seek the kind of warmth only a bowl of soup can offer. Amazing chicken dumpling soup. I've also been told that on Wednesdays, asking for the "black bean soup trifecta" is extremely necessary. Delicious! read more

Pretty darn tasty sandwich, however I asked for a ham and Swiss and received a turkey and Swiss. Of course I simply ate it and was quite pleased, but a bit disappointed. Everyone here is genuinely helpful and happy, so it's hard to get too upset on a "meat mixup!" I'll be back for sure and expect that my experience will be just as delicious and probably a bit more accurate :-) read more

A few years ago I was working in the area of Sunshine and went there quite often for lunch. I loved it. I recently started a job that once again is in the area. On my first day I just had to go grab a sandwich to see if it was still the place I remembered. It was. It's a great place to grab soup or a sandwich.
