We had our noses stuck on the store window few minutes before opening - as Billy Joel might say - we were in a sandwich state of mind. The store was running late on the bread bake (which meant ours was as fresh as I could be). I spent a good 10-15 minutes in my Yankees cap (like the color not the team) studying the cuts of meat while a guy in a Redsox hat waited on the adjacent stool for his Boston Beef '3 way'. The wait staff were making some valid points about chatGPT while shredding the turkey, but I kept my mouth shut and my nose clean. Our Square and New Deal sandwiches were impeccable (albeit objectively speaking, my New Deal was better). I'm looking for the right mix of textures, meat, no skimping on Kewpie and a bread I can take a good bite out of - and it was an all around excellent sandwich on those counts. In waiting - I refreshed knowledge of hog body parts, and no Yanks/Sox fights broke out. It's a pleasant interlude to your mid-day, don't expect express service, but the end result will be to your taste read more

Very small place but damn it's worth the wait! Loved that u could see them making the bread through the window. Staff was very friendly. We got 2 sandwiches to split the vermonster and the jive a$$ turkey. Both are phenomenal sandwiches. Such great flavors we both couldn't pick a favorite. read more

5/5 sandwich. 1/5 for speed/time efficiency I placed an order at the counter just minutes after the store opens and ended up waiting for 30+ minutes. This doesn't sit well to consider for future middaay lunch opportunities -- and it's hard to recommend anyone come here during their work day for a sandwich. If time is not a factor at all, I'd recommend Young Buck wholeheartedly! read more

The focaccia bread is incredible! I had the New Deal, and it was delicious. The freshly sliced ham, salami piccante, and mortadella were generously piled on a layer of ricotta cheese and sprinkled with red wine vinaigrette. The photo doesn't do this massive sandwich justice - two meals! read more

Peak lunch spot - simple menu with cool, creative different sandwich types. Went with the Vermonster, a cold turkey sandwich that was really good. I would not recommend the Reuben (cut wasn't thick enough), which my friends got, but I would recommend the new deal. Staff is very kind, but service could've been faster - it did take a while for the hot sandwiches to come out. Great vibes overall. read more

Met local friends for lunch at their recommendation and now understand that a sandwich truly can be life changing! The bread is so fresh and flavorful that we both had some nibbles on their own! We were glad to arrive around opening because it was busy FAST! The owners are so friendly and welcoming and were quick to give the kiddo a sticker. Hubby loved his 3-way and I my short rib pastrami! We took our goodies up the block to Washington park since it was a beautiful day and Young Buck Deli gave us the perfect picnic! We absolutely will be back! read more

Young Buck Deli - Short Rib Pastrami - Sandwiches Near Me - Cincinnati, Ohio

Young Buck Deli was delicious. I love a deli and love seeing more of them pop up in the city. I ordered the special for the day, which was a chicken parm sandwich. I had no clue the size would be so huge. It was so incredibly delicious, but it was nearly impossible to eat as a sandwich. I needed a fork and knife desperately, unless I wanted sauce all over my hands. Overall I enjoyed my experience and the service was good, but I needed to try something else when I go back. read more

I had been to Young Buck Deli several times in the past year, always enjoying their offerings but more than I'd enjoy any other really, really good sandwich. All of that changed today, when I met my Forever Sandwich. Ever had a friend tell you the story about how when they met their partner they just knew it was the person they were going to marry? Ladies and gentlemen: the Boston Threeway. A perfect so perfect it deserves to be modified by a certain seven letter word that rhymes with "fudging" 'but probably be frowned upon in this particular space. Rare thinly sliced roast beef, white American cheese, bbq sauce, kewpie mayo and fried onions all on the most perfect focaccia ever. It's Arby's if Arby's was *good*, like an interpretation of the sandwich by a started Michelin chef, and hands down the best sandwich I've had since I was in London in 2016. Everything about it was perfect, and I should have left a 30% tip. Make it up to you the next time I come in for another. Six stars. read more

Oh my God, these sandwiches are absolutely delicious. Fortunately I called my order in ahead of time so when I arrived, and the place was packed, I went right to the counter and my sandwiches were waiting for me. One thing to note is that the hot Pastrami, which was fantastic, is quite a bit more expensive than the other sandwiches. I didn't really notice, but when I got the bill it sure grabbed my attention. I would have been just as happy with the other sandwiches my party had, and saved about $10. But not complaining, just make sure you check the prices first. read more

Best Deli I've ever been to, hands down. If you're ever in Cincinnati, you NEED to go here.

Stands up to the hype! If not the world's greatest, it's in the top ten! It's the ingredients, culinary creativity, and the staff that make it so! read more

I had Young Buck for the first time yesterday after having several friends tell me it is the "BEST" sandwich spot in Cincinnati. As a sandwich lover, I had to pull the trigger and am so beyond happy I did. I made a custom sandwich (big tomato - I'm vegetarian) and added lettuce, mayo, mustard, onions, and pickles. This is typically similar to what I normally get on sandwiches, by the way. When I tell you this sandwich was SO GOOD, I'm not kidding. The bread was out of this world good, the toppings were delicious and fresh, and it was just a phenomenal sandwich through and through. Today, I am dreaming of this sandwich if I'm being honest. I cannot recommend Young Buck enough to all sandwich enthusiasts (and not) because it's just absolutely fantastic all around. Thank you, Young Buck, for an amazing first experience! read more

Awesome experience from start to finish. Someone on the slicer saying "Hey! Wanna try our ham?" and handing out a sample as people walk in? I am a girl who grew up around some amazing delis, so this brought me back. This is my Disneyland. Great music playing, lovely friendly service (staff was very patient as I had a small kerfuffle with my payment method), and a DYNAMITE sandwich. I enjoyed the 'New Deal,' mortadella, ham, gabagool, lettuce, pickled onion, ricotta, vinaigrette aioli on a gorgeous focaccia bread. Filling, satisfying, and worth every penny. The high-quality and thinly sliced meat with the slightly sweet, rich and creamy ricotta was heightened by a nice acidity from the vinaigrette and pickled onion. A lovely, high-quality sandwich experience you cannot miss out on. read more

What a great place! I'd read and heard about this place, and I've driven by many times. But today I stopped in for lunch and I know I'll be back. Caitlyn, one of the owners, took my order. Sooo many choices, I could've throw a dart and it would've worked out. But I went with the Vermonster. It was delicious and I took half home. The space is bright and open with lots of windows. A comfortable space to dine, and the view of the baking biscuits and focaccia left we wanting more. read more

My partner and I needed a quick lunch before heading to the airport, and we were so glad we chose Young Buck! We got the New Deal and Jive @$$ Turkey- both were incredibly flavorful and packed with meat, and the focaccia here is insane! The sandwiches were also way bigger than I thought, so I ended up with leftovers for a second meal later. There was no wait at all when we arrived (late Saturday morning). The lady at the counter was nice, and we got our orders within 10 min. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area! read more

Wow, the sandwich was thick, dense and so flavorful. My partner and I were a bit nervous about the size to cost ratio. They stack up on the meat! In my opinion, it's quite expensive for what it is, but I will say they don't lack quality. The fresh ingredients are fantastic. The bread got soggy quickly so it became difficult to eat. There's something refreshing about a deli that keeps things simple but does them really well, and that's exactly the vibe at Young Buck Deli. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome -- friendly, attentive, and clearly proud of what they're serving. One detail that really stood out is that they make their focaccia in house, and you can taste the difference. It's fresh, soft, and has that perfect balance of crisp on the outside and airy on the inside, which takes their sandwiches to another level. You can tell there's real care behind the food and the experience here. Between the great service and the quality ingredients, Young Buck Deli feels like the kind of spot you'll want to come back to again and again. Definitely a standout deli worth checking out. read more

This was my first trip to Young BuckDeli. The vibe in this place is fantastic for any 90s kid. Awesome old school rap matched the energy of a busy kitchen. While we waited for our sandwiches it was fun to see the prep kitchen behind the glass where people were making their homemade bread and other tasty things. In the front of house you can the fresh slicing of deli meats and sandwich prep. On to the food - we ordered the Friday special chicken parm and the new deal sandwiches along with a pint of potato salad. The focaccia bread is phenomenal and stands up to these hearty sandwiches and you can taste the homemade care that goes into every bite. I absolutely loved the potato salad. I'm a huge fan of mustard forward potato salad and the tanginess and rich flavors hit the mark for me. This place is the perfect example of a locally owned, fresh ingredient restaurant. Highly recommended! read more

YO!!!!! My smart and beautiful fiance (venmo: @kylepbeatty for wedding gifts) surprised me for lunch and brought home Young Buck Deli. It was unreal. We tried two sandwiches. They were both quite different but equally delicious. The Boston Beef was impressive. Loved the bbq sauce on it, slightly sweet but tangy. The fried onions added a great crunch. But really the beef is the absolute highlight. I love rare roast beef on a sandwich. This was done perfectly pink. It had amazing chew and texture. Would absolutely order again. The Jive A$$ Turkey slapped. I love turkey sandwiches but nowhere else has this flavorful turkey. The fig jam and goat cheese play off each other so you get a salty and sweet mix. Both sandwiches were on their house made focaccia. The bread was light and doughy but also crispy on top. The flecks of salt give the sandwich some savoriness. I'll try any and all sandwiches on their menu. The size of the sandwiches are big and make it worth the price. read more

I'm assuming the whole "closest thing to a NYC deli vibe" in the city is what's giving this place 5 stars because I don't get it. My gf and I each got a sandwich (New Deal & Jive A$$ Turkey) and she got a bag of chips and a teeny tiny baby diet coke bottle and tried a side of pimento cheese. The pimento cheese was more like a cheese ball than typical pimento cheese in a sense that it was not easily spreadable but hard and needed to sit out at room temperature for an hour or two for it to soften up a little but still not the same. 2 deli sandwiches, 1 chips, 1 drink, 1 side of pimento cheese was $60 after tip. Absolutely, not worth it to me. Allez on Main has a turkey pesto sandwich that is light years better tasting and less money than what we had here so I can't say I'll be back to YB anytime soon. Sandwiches are good sized but that's the only positive for me. read more
