Stopped by The Bagelry in OTR for a Saturday morning breakfast and now I get why this place stays busy. I ordered the NYC Lox on an everything bagel and it was chef's kiss. Honestly felt like I was back in New York. Everything was fresh, balanced, and just done right. I also grabbed an iced cold brew and it was exactly what I needed to start the morning. No ambiance, It's definitely more of a grab-and-go kind of spot, but they do have a standing bar if you want to stay and eat without heading back to your car. Nice option if you've got a few minutes. The staff were hustling the whole time, keeping up with both in-person and online orders, which was impressive to watch. Parking is pretty manageable with paid street parking and nearby public lots. If you're in OTR and want a solid breakfast bagel, this place is worth the stop. read more

The bagels were quite good! I had two. The Asiago and an everything bagel both toasted. The everything had turkey and lettuce. After seeing the pictures on here and google I was hoping for a bit more filling. They both tasted great so not too big of a letdown. The jalapeño cream cheese was a winner for me. They also were fully staffed which kept the line moving. There is no place to sit. They have a stand and dine counter that goes along the windows. Overall a decent place for breakfast bagels. I stopped in here to grab a quick lunch while I was downtown. I have been to the Oakley location once and I looovvveee their bagels, so I knew that lunch was going to be the Bagelry today. I got two lox bagels for myself and a friend which was a good price for what I expected. The order was quick and the employees were very friendly. The sandwich itself is delicious! The bagel is nice and toasted but not too hard and falling apart. The salmon is very fresh and perfectly cold to go with the yummy onion, tomato, and capers. The cream cheese is creamy (haha) and not overpowering because I always feel like the lox are the most important part of the bagel. It was super yummy, didn't fall apart and a really great and easy go-to for lunch. read more

My sister and I stopped in here on Monday before our drive back to Indy. It was so nice to have a warm breakfast after shoveling the snow away from my car and packing everything up from the Airbnb above. The inside is small, with no inside seating options. They have drip coffee, bottled drinks, etc, but no lattes or anything like that. The staff were friendly, the food was made quickly, and it was hot and delicious. The only thing I wish is that each side of the bagel still had a cream cheese smear on it, but otherwise an excellent bagel sandwich. I got a breakfast bagel and my sister got a lunch bagel and she loved hers as well. It was also cool to see that they use Tinker Coffee beans from Indy for their coffee! read more

If you're looking for a great bagel, this is a good spot. It's very crowded on the weekend but they've got a full staff that is churning out bagels really quickly so you don't have to wait too long. Even if you had to wait a little longer, it's probably worth it. Tried an egg sandwich, classic bagel with cream cheese, and a lox bagel. All met expectations and were delicious. More expensive than a chain for sandwiches, it infinitely better. It's small and a bit cramped, so recommend you take your food to go. read more

One of my favorite spots to grab a bagel in the morning after a night out. They always have lots of staff members working. I will say if you go at a busy time and don't order ahead it can be a little of a wait but not too bad. My bagel breakfast sandwich always hits and I can tell the bagels are made fresh daily. read more

Came Sunday morning around 10am and I thought it would be packed so I ordered ahead but maybe people were still sleeping and this place gets busier towards 11? I was a little sad I ordered ahead because even though my order was correct, it definitely doesn't hit the same as ordering it fresh in line. I enjoyed the wide variety of bagel sandwich options and that you can design your own egg or regular bagel sandwich. I do think the bagel is a little on the hard side and not as squishy as I had hoped but still cool the bagels are made fresh. read more

This is a great place. It was really busy. People coming & going the whole time we were waiting on our bagels. When you walk in you go to the left to order. Then wait on the right side or for picking up to go orders. I got the BLT no mayonnaise on an Asiago Bagel & added the onion & chive cream cheese. The bacon was cooked perfectly & I loved the flavor of the cream cheese. My husband got the sausage egg & cheese on an everything bagel. He really enjoyed his too. We will definitely go back sometime when in town. They had Really Great prices too. I will note there isn't a restroom. Just a heads up. read more

This is my go to place for pre-work breakfast. I love the avocado toast on a Rosemary bagel! Don't order this ahead, it's much better if you just walk in and grab it. Honestly though? Everything is great here, and the service is fast, efficient, and friendly. Go crazy on the carbs and then walk them off while checking out the other amazing restaurants in the area! read more

Very yummy bagel option! I got a basic egg and cheese bagel sandwich on an asiago bagel. The bagel was crispy and chewy at the time time. A little thin, though. The sandwich was toasted to perfection and satisfying overall. Service was pretty quick even though they were busy. It's a very small place with no outdoor seating so I had to wait outside in the sun with my doggy while my order was prepared and eat it on the go. But would be a good place for takeout! read more

Fun Indy bagel shop in OTR....bagels are delicious with great crust and chewy inside. I tired a local favorite Goetta for the first time, not sure what to expect. It was an interesting meat grain mixture with nice flavor and texture . The fact that they source their coffee from tinker in Indianapolis is a plus. Being that it is in OTR parking isn't the easiest but that's to be expected. Will be back. read more

Great little bagel shop: it is now go to when we come from out of town and from North Carolina to go to Bengals football games another event in Cincinnati. Nice people great atmosphere they get it right wonderful selection of bagels sandwiches and offerings. We stopped going to another well-known bagel shop at Findlay market that has disappointed multiple times over the last four months and this is our new go to. They're up-and-coming and will probably be a new staple in our plans whenever we are in Cincinnati we highly recommend them. read more

We got the rosemary bagel and everything bagel. They were some of the best bagels I have ever had. The rosemary bagel was a unique choice and did not disappoint. The Bagelry was one of the first local businesses when I moved to Cincy a few years back, and it has consistently been one of my favorite spots to grab breakfast. If you're looking to get a large order of bagels for a weekend morning, or even just a couple of breakfast sandwiches, I definitely recommend ordering ahead the night before. You can do so on their website, and then just bop in and pick up your order at your set time. Of course - you can't always plan when you're going to be hankering for a bagel. I've found that they're extremely busy on Saturday's and Sunday's, so if you're stopping by spontaneously, be prepared to wait. Don't worry though, it's definitely worth it. There's also a big parking lot nearby. I believe it's around $8 to leave your car, but if you're coming for bagels with a buddy, I would recommend having someone drive around the block while the other places the order. My favorite of their bagel offerings is definitely the Rosemary. I've never had such a flavorful bagel from the likes of Einstein's or Chompie's ... and the Rosemary paired with the Strawberry cream cheese is a match made in sweet and salty heaven. read more

I wasn't looking for bagels, but this shop looked appealing enough that I stopped in and got a half dozen to go. It was into the afternoon, so they had run out of some things, but they are smart enough to at least make sure to have plenty of plain bagels, so I got those and a couple of experiments, including a pumpkin one. The surface of these bagels was nicely boiled. The interior didn't quite have the depth of sour flavor I'd hoped for and surprisingly I wasn't as full after one bagel as I thought I'd be and ended up eating them in pairs. The non-plain flavors I got were fairly subtle in their differentiation from the default. If they had whole wheat or rye or anything really different, they were out of stock on it. Anyway, solid bagels, didn't totally blow me away but would go back. read more

Great bagel spot! We were in town for a wedding and grabbed breakfast bagels the morning of here. They don't have seating so this is a grab and go joint. There are very few truly good bagel shops in Cincinnati, which makes sense for Southern Ohio, but in my opinion, The Bagelry is the best. Whenever I'm in the mood for a nice, chill Sunday or Saturday, I get their loxs bagel. My fiancé has tasted every other bagel on the menu and enjoys them all thoroughly. The Bagelry is one of our go-to places in Cincinnati. Even with its popularity and the frequent crowds, the staff manages to turn out a great product efficiently. Despite how busy it can get, they consistently deliver high-quality bagels, making it a standout spot in the city. I would suggest ordering online with enough time if you're in a rush, but I do generally appreciate the walk over to get a bagel, waiting on my phone or maybe doing the crossword. So to each their own. read more

So the morning started with a craving for a steak egg and cheese bagel from McDonald's for our cheat day and boy am I glad we didn't settle for that. My wife found this awesome place and we ordered carry out. The bagels were fresh soft and savory, we got our sandwiches made on the Asiago bagels. The GECCO (goetta, egg, cheese, chive, onion.) bagels were out of this world good! They were hot, fresh, and packed with great flavor. The pizza bagel was no different than eating a slice of pizza and was absolutely phenomenal. If it were possible to give more than five stars this place would get it. I'm sure they have a bunch of great options but the two we got today were 10/10 and it's going to be hard not to get them and try other things at our future visits. read more

New staff, one or two of the original people are there.M The new staff have NO customer service skills. Consistently, always have an attitude when you go to the cash register they look at you like they hate you. They have no training in Customer Service greeting, smiling thanking you for your business. None whatsoever and if they were trained, they're not using the skills when no one's watching them. Slowly the prices went up and up and up, which is true of everywhere , but at one point their prices for their tiny baked goods were insane . It appears maybe they lowered some , but you can't walk out of there without spending a lot of money. Also, they changed the tuna recipe which was their classic number one signature tuna. They're now using a cheaper fish or tasting brand. It's more liquidy and it's a completely different taste. Fishy It's not good. I might as well make it at home I can use albacore instead of their cheap tuna. Their pastries are *tiny and overpriced. They have raised prices ok but they drastically cut the portions they give you . It's half the amount of food that Marks is is known for . Marxx is known for its overstuffed Bagels - no more but they are charging more for much less food. If you're going to charge a lot, at least give the same amount of portions that people who have been loyal customers are used to. Also, they bought bigger containers, but they put less in them. It's so obvious when you buy loose tuna or loose cream cheese it's in a different bigger container with less food in it. Overall, I feel the place is completely gone down downhill! the things that were known for like the tuna the over stuffed sandwiches being able to feel like you got a good meal with a nice portion. All of that is gone. They're inconsistent with the portion sizes they give you and sometimes it's just not even enough. I had ordered containers of cream cheese with salmon in it and tuna and I had company over and what normally lasted did not because there's so much less food in the containers. Unfortunately, the tuna does not taste good anymore and he's probably buying something other than albacore to save money. People notice what you're doing they see that everything is being cut, and that the taste is changing the bagels are much smaller but are higher in carbohydrates . I go to Skip's now as well, and Skip's has much bigger softer. Bagels and their food is actually improved and I still like the salmon cream cheese and a lot of of the food at Mark's and allow myself to go there, but I don't go there as often.

I soon discovered there is always a line, not necessarily bc it's good- but because you order yourself via tablet at a station and people are generally slow & not very efficient at that task so ordering just takes a long time bc of customers- anyhow- I ordered a sesame bagel with turkey veggie cream cheese, lettuce & tomato and a can of Coke Zero. My total for a bagel & drink wad $21. I will not be doing that again. Was it edible, yes. Was it worth $20, absolutely not. The bagel was bread. It was NOT a bagel. It was bland and boring. It was not toasted. The turkey was thin and barely there. The veggie cream cheese was nothing. I mean it was mildly taste-able but goopy and not savory at all the produce was blah (I mean- we are in a freakin farmers market and you can't offer quality products- c'mon man) - I only ate one half bc I didn't want to waste the calories on something so not enjoyable. I did waste my money though, so you don't have to.
