One of my family's favorite spots for breakfast and more recently lunch! I highly recommend ordering ahead online to avoid any wait. Everyone loves the Gecko sandwich. It's the perfect amount of all things tasty(and Cincy) in one. read more

So the morning started with a craving for a steak egg and cheese bagel from McDonald's for our cheat day and boy am I glad we didn't settle for that. My wife found this awesome place and we ordered carry out. The bagels were fresh soft and savory, we got our sandwiches made on the Asiago bagels. The GECCO (goetta, egg, cheese, chive, onion.) bagels were out of this world good! They were hot, fresh, and packed with great flavor. The pizza bagel was no different than eating a slice of pizza and was absolutely phenomenal. If it were possible to give more than five stars this place would get it. I'm sure they have a bunch of great options but the two we got today were 10/10 and it's going to be hard not to get them and try other things at our future visits. read more

I've been patronizing this business for over a year now and I'm boring because I get the same thing every time. But omg, the avocado bagel is just so good that I'm sure I won't give anything else a chance. Writing this review makes me want to order one now! read more

My friends and I stopped here for lunch and enjoyed the food. There was a decent choice of bagels choices but I expected more choices from a cafe that specializes in bagels. The walk to this cafe was a bit nerve racking because it's not in a very good neighborhood even during the daytime. We had an Asiago bagel, pizza bagel sandwich, and Italian bagel sandwich. Everyone liked there food but we all agreed it wouldn't be a normal visit location due to fear for our safety. read more

Bagelry has the best bagels in the city. This is my go to weekend spot for either pickup or having my breakfast delivered to remedy a hangover. One thing to note for pickup orders: use their website to create your order. It will be much cheaper than utilizing something like Uber Eats. The person behind the counter mentioned this to me and I will certainly do this for next time. About $1.50 less for a BYO breakfast sandwich. If you elect to have your food delivered, they package everything great and it all travels very well. Currently no indoor seating but they have this place very streamlined - equipped with a roped off waiting area outside, orders all pre packed and ready to go upon you walking in, and fast / efficient service if you're ordering in person. As for the bagels themselves, they're perfect. It's like you step into a portal and are suddenly in a New York City bagel shop. I tend to load up my bagel sandwich with probably too many toppings, but I never regret it. They also have a fantastic coffee selection. Awesome little spot! So glad to see they're doing well. read more

Finally, we have been blessed with a bagel shop that evenly spreads cream cheese! This is such a big deal to me... ever pull apart your bagel and one side has a pound of spread and the other is bare? Not at The Bagelry! They take their time cutting, toasting if desired and evenly spreading each and every bagel before serving you. I appreciate the extra small amount of time they put into these details. As for the Asiago bagel itself, omg, so good. Crispy outside with a fluffy inside. The high gluten really makes their bagels so easy to eat without being overly chewy. I'd have to say they nearly have it perfected. Cream cheese is light and airy, too! I'd say $4 is slightly steep for a bagel+spread but I'm willing to pay it. There's a little something for everyone; Cookies, chips, water, pop, coffee. Toddler friendly but I'd highly suggest to management to get a couple high stools for the beautiful counter space! My kiddo was all over the place in there when it would've been convenient to plop her up on a stool and enjoy a cookie while mom tends to the bagels! *update: I've heard they've added a few stools!!! read more

The bagel rye is great! I was very impressed with the changes they made regrading COVID-19 protocols. They only allow one person inside to place an order. Then, once you've placed the order, they have you wait outside where they actually have a little speaker outside their door so they can call your name when your order is ready. I actually witnessed them stop someone from coming to wait inside. I think this was really brave. Sometimes I see people breaking protocol and no one does anything about it, but at the Bagelry, they really seemed to care. Their food was also delicious!! I got the sandwich with avacado and bacon, but the bacon was going to take 15 minutes to make and we were in a rush so I opted for ham instead and man, was this sandwich good! I will definitely hit this place up again next time I'm in the city! read more

The Bagelry is absolutely one of my favorite places for a bagel sandwiches in the city. Hands-down! Every time I go they are so consistent and I love it. I typically go for the simple sandwiches like a bacon, egg and cheese with additional toppings and it is so good every single time. They are also very fast. Even if there is a line they are very efficient, but that never decreases the quality whatever you are ordering. You can also order in advance and just pick up your bagel right when you arrive. That's now my go to especially considering Covid. The staff is Also really nice and very attentive. I just love the quality of the ingredients and the super good taste. And of course, Their bagels are excellent! They will always be my go to place for them. read more

After reading reviews I wanted to check this. Place out. I have been on a bagel kick so had to try the best. Based on the reviews this place was on the list! The place was small, nice, fast service. There were quite a few people there so it must be pretty tasty. I had a plain bagel with jalapeño garlic cream cheese. It was very good, but the bagel was pretty hard. The cream cheese was tasty, more garlic than jalapeño. But it was good .I'll for sure give this place another try. read more

The Bagelry reminds me of a little spot in NYC where I could get a good bagel and schmear! I forgot to take a pic of my bagel, that's how good it was. I ordered an Asiago bagel with veggie spread. So good! The bagel was toasted perfectly and just enough spread (they're not stingy)! Every bite was perfect. The veggie spread was super flavorful, not your basic spread. It's a cute little space... a few bar stools at a counter looking out onto the street. The staff is super friendly! Greeted me when I walked in, let me check out the menu , quick service, and sent me on my way. My only wish... I wish they had an egg bagel. Other than that, I'm a happy gal! I definitely will be back- probably tomorrow before we head out! read more

Delicious! My fiancee got the lox bagel and I got the byob and it was super tasty. Definitely our new go-to when we are in town.

I'm a sucker for a good bagel sandwich and the Bagelry in OTR definitely hits the spot! Their bagels are made fresh every day and their everything bagel (my go to bagel) doesn't disappoint. I love their build your own bagel sandwich option which allows you to pick your cheese, protein, and bagel with additional add ons like avocado. I had one of their avocado special bagels and substituted the bacon for their turkey - which is amazing! It had a little bit of siracha on it as well which was a great addition! Definitely a place to hit up if you're needing a hangover cure, quick and inexpensive brunch, or just because you NEED a bagel sandwich. read more

What a fun and an awesome place! Cincinnati, in my mind can never have too many bagel shops! I love the simplicity of the menu at the Bagelry, and the freshness and quality of the bagels and all the ingredients used! I stopped in here on my way to work, and I was happily surprised to see the many different bagel options and everyone working hard and chipper! The menu was easy to read and the pricing was super fair! I had a bagel egg sandwich with pepper jack cheese and bacon on an Asiago bagel. This was sooooo good, and hot and fresh and just all the things I wanted it to be. Returning to the bagelry is a must, and I can't wait to try something different every-time I go! read more

I'm so excited for OTR to get a bagel shop! The Bagelry soft opened today at their first brick & mortar location which is at 14th & Walnut in OTR. The grand opening is Friday October 5th and then they'll be open 7 days a week. I'd had their bagels a few times at Findlay Market and Second Sunday, so I was excited to check it out. I ordered the bacon, egg & cheddar bagel sandwich on a pumpkin spice bagel (cause basic is life). Overall it was great. The eggs were fluffy and the bacon was crisp. The only change I'd suggest to the bagel sandwich itself is to add a bit of cream cheese. They also have local coffee available from Urbana Cafe! The ordering and pick up experience was pretty smooth and very fast. I was in and out in 5 minutes, and they have a standing bar around the windows if you want to stay and eat. I definitely encourage you to come by and check it out. read more

I've been waiting for a good local bagel shop to come to Cincinnati - and we finally got one! The Bagelry is a perfect addition to OTR. They have a huge variety of bagels that varies often, but always expect the classics. You can tell the bagels are homemade and authentic - opposed to the rubbery grocery store or Einstein's bagel. They offer a wide variety of both breakfast and lunch sandwiches (yes there's a pizza bagel) and have a variety of homemade cream cheese flavors (as well as vegan options). I've tried an everything bagel toasted with cream cheese and it was great. I've also tried a bacon egg and cheese on poppy seed and it was great as well. Looking forward to trying some of the lunch sandwiches. Excited to have The Bagelry in the neighborhood! read more

I love me a good cream cheese lox bagel and the Bagelry has it!! I love that it's right around the corner from holtmans- so I can grab a sweet treat for the hubs + kids and a salty treat for me! Their menu seems pretty extensive, although I'd have a hard time ordering anything else, considering cream cheese and lox bagel is in my top five "sandwiches" (kind of cheating, I know). Hubs complained about the price point, but I think under $10 for that order is the going rate anywhere! Will for sure be coming back and will do my best to try something new next time! read more

Let me preface by saying...I'm from the New York City area, so my opinion is the correct one haha. Long story short, this shop is amazing! They have clearly perfected their craft after years on the road and now have this great bricks and mortar location! The bagels are made correctly (tall, round, coated in both sides with the right amount of salt). I got the breakfast sandwich which was toasted nicely and very flavorful. Simple menu with lots of good stuff! Having just opened the spaces, there's still a few things needed in the interior (better AC, stronger line control/signage, stools to sit on, etc) but I assume they're on it! Given that they're the same price point as the chains shops in town but MUCH BETTER quality, there's no reason to go anywhere else. Give them a try! read more
