Bagelry has the best bagels in the city. This is my go to weekend spot for either pickup or having my breakfast delivered to remedy a hangover. One thing to note for pickup orders: use their website to create your order. It will be much cheaper than utilizing something like Uber Eats. The person behind the counter mentioned this to me and I will certainly do this for next time. About $1.50 less for a BYO breakfast sandwich. If you elect to have your food delivered, they package everything great and it all travels very well. Currently no indoor seating but they have this place very streamlined - equipped with a roped off waiting area outside, orders all pre packed and ready to go upon you walking in, and fast / efficient service if you're ordering in person. As for the bagels themselves, they're perfect. It's like you step into a portal and are suddenly in a New York City bagel shop. I tend to load up my bagel sandwich with probably too many toppings, but I never regret it. They also have a fantastic coffee selection. Awesome little spot! Finally, we have been blessed with a bagel shop that evenly spreads cream cheese! This is such a big deal to me... ever pull apart your bagel and one side has a pound of spread and the other is bare? Not at The Bagelry! They take their time cutting, toasting if desired and evenly spreading each and every bagel before serving you. I appreciate the extra small amount of time they put into these details. As for the Asiago bagel itself, omg, so good. Crispy outside with a fluffy inside. The high gluten really makes their bagels so easy to eat without being overly chewy. I'd have to say they nearly have it perfected. Cream cheese is light and airy, too! I'd say $4 is slightly steep for a bagel+spread but I'm willing to pay it. There's a little something for everyone; Cookies, chips, water, pop, coffee. Toddler friendly but I'd highly suggest to management to get a couple high stools for the beautiful counter space! The bagel rye is great! I was very impressed with the changes they made regrading COVID-19 protocols. They only allow one person inside to place an order. Then, once you've placed the order, they have you wait outside where they actually have a little speaker outside their door so they can call your name when your order is ready. I actually witnessed them stop someone from coming to wait inside. I think this was really brave. Sometimes I see people breaking protocol and no one does anything about it, but at the Bagelry, they really seemed to care. Their food was also delicious!! I got the sandwich with avacado and bacon, but the bacon was going to take 15 minutes to make and we were in a rush so I opted for ham instead and man, was this sandwich good! The Bagelry is absolutely one of my favorite places for a bagel sandwiches in the city. Hands-down! Every time I go they are so consistent and I love it. I typically go for the simple sandwiches like a bacon, egg and cheese with additional toppings and it is so good every single time. They are also very fast. Even if there is a line they are very efficient, but that never decreases the quality whatever you are ordering. You can also order in advance and just pick up your bagel right when you arrive. So good! The bagel was toasted perfectly and just enough spread (they're not stingy)! Every bite was perfect. The veggie spread was super flavorful, not your basic spread. It's a cute little space... a few bar stools at a counter looking out onto the street. The staff is super friendly! Greeted me when I walked in, let me check out the menu , quick service, and sent me on my way. My only wish... I wish they had an egg bagel. Other than that, I'm a happy gal! I love their build your own bagel sandwich option which allows you to pick your cheese, protein, and bagel with additional add ons like avocado. I had one of their avocado special bagels and substituted the bacon for their turkey - which is amazing! It had a little bit of siracha on it as well which was a great addition! I stopped in here on my way to work, and I was happily surprised to see the many different bagel options and everyone working hard and chipper! I'm so excited for OTR to get a bagel shop! The Bagelry soft opened today at their first brick & mortar location which is at 14th & Walnut in OTR. The grand opening is Friday October 5th and then they'll be open 7 days a week. I'd had their bagels a few times at Findlay Market and Second Sunday, so I was excited to check it out. I ordered the bacon, egg & cheddar bagel sandwich on a pumpkin spice bagel (cause basic is life). Overall it was great. The eggs were fluffy and the bacon was crisp. The only change I'd suggest to the bagel sandwich itself is to add a bit of cream cheese. They also have local coffee available from Urbana Cafe! The ordering and pick up experience was pretty smooth and very fast. I was in and out in 5 minutes, and they have a standing bar around the windows if you want to stay and eat. They have a huge variety of bagels that varies often, but always expect the classics. You can tell the bagels are homemade and authentic - opposed to the rubbery grocery store or Einstein's bagel. They offer a wide variety of both breakfast and lunch sandwiches (yes there's a pizza bagel) and have a variety of homemade cream cheese flavors (as well as vegan options). I've tried an everything bagel toasted with cream cheese and it was great. I've also tried a bacon egg and cheese on poppy seed and it was great as well. I love me a good cream cheese lox bagel and the Bagelry has it!! I love that it's right around the corner from holtmans- so I can grab a sweet treat for the hubs + kids and a salty treat for me! Their menu seems pretty extensive, although I'd have a hard time ordering anything else, considering cream cheese and lox bagel is in my top five "sandwiches" (kind of cheating, I know). Hubs complained about the price point, but I think under $10 for that order is the going rate anywhere! Will for sure be coming back and will do my best to try something new next time! read more

Let me preface by saying...I'm from the New York City area, so my opinion is the correct one haha. Long story short, this shop is amazing! They have clearly perfected their craft after years on the road and now have this great bricks and mortar location! The bagels are made correctly (tall, round, coated in both sides with the right amount of salt). I got the breakfast sandwich which was toasted nicely and very flavorful. Simple menu with lots of good stuff! Having just opened the spaces, there's still a few things needed in the interior (better AC, stronger line control/signage, stools to sit on, etc) but I assume they're on it! Given that they're the same price point as the chains shops in town but MUCH BETTER quality, there's no reason to go anywhere else. Give them a try! read more

Finally! I have been wanting to try The Bagelry for a while now. I first heard about them while they were at Findlay Market. I never got around to trying them, and when I wanted to they were in transition from Findlay to their brick-and-mortar. I finally decided to give them a try to end the year with a bang and I'm glad I did. Their concept is a fast causal order-and-go. They have a few bar style seating but overall most people order-to-go. The staff was very friendly. I walked in and told the guy working the cash register that it was my first time in. He immediately started explaining to me the menu on the wall and what all they had to offer. I thought this was very nice. My husband and I are breakfast sandwich people, therefore I ordered two breakfast bagel sandwiches. I love that they make the scrambled egg to go on your sandwich fresh to order. We did the build your own egg sandwich. You pick a bagel, the protein, cheese and veggies. Super simple and easy. They also run the bagel, cheese and protein through those sandwich ovens which toast the bagel and melt the cheese. They certainly have good breakfast sandwiches and I love that they are made to order. I ordered a Everything Bagel with ham, Swiss and egg. I ordered my husband an Asiago Bagel with sausage, cheddar, and egg. Both of us enjoyed our bagel and I can say we would come back again. Both sandwiches were simple but had a lot of flavor. You could tell everything was fresh. I really enjoyed a "homemade" breakfast sandwich. My only complaint is the Everything Bagel was a little salty. During the first initial bite, the salt hit me. Once I kept eating, it wasn't as strong. However I only ate half the sandwich and when I went back to eat the other half hours later, that first initial salty bite hit me again. However, I do like that they basically cover the top of their everything bagel with the everything seasoning mix. You could taste the flavors and I love the crunch of everything and the roasted notes of garlic. The Asiago Bagel was good. My husband had no complaints. I saw this place on my google and it was not far from the office . I took the walk over and was greeting by the friendly workers . I got a plain bagel with sausage and cream cheese , with a side of chives and onion cream cheese to taste . Upon opening the bagel it was packaged well and The reviews were great and I was excited to try it . My sausage was so hard and it was pink on the side and on the out . It tasted awful but I continued to eat the bagel . It was ok a little hard but the chive and onion cream cheese was really good . The bagel sandwiches are delicious but messy. I was SO impressed by the communication among the team working the morning I visited. Decided to try this place seeing as I have had bad experiences with other bagel places in cincy, it wasn't bad but wasn't great, it's definitely a place I would keep going to or try again but it lacks oomph, not sure what it is, it's like their missing something but I'm not sure what. I got the egg and cheese sandwich bagel wasn't bad but again wasn't great, someone salted the hell out of the egg which ruined it for me but other than that it was just okay.
