Finally! I have been wanting to try The Bagelry for a while now. I first heard about them while they were at Findlay Market. I never got around to trying them, and when I wanted to they were in transition from Findlay to their brick-and-mortar. I finally decided to give them a try to end the year with a bang and I'm glad I did. Their concept is a fast causal order-and-go. They have a few bar style seating but overall most people order-to-go. The staff was very friendly. I walked in and told the guy working the cash register that it was my first time in. He immediately started explaining to me the menu on the wall and what all they had to offer. I thought this was very nice. My husband and I are breakfast sandwich people, therefore I ordered two breakfast bagel sandwiches. I love that they make the scrambled egg to go on your sandwich fresh to order. We did the build your own egg sandwich. You pick a bagel, the protein, cheese and veggies. Super simple and easy. They also run the bagel, cheese and protein through those sandwich ovens which toast the bagel and melt the cheese. They certainly have good breakfast sandwiches and I love that they are made to order. I ordered a Everything Bagel with ham, Swiss and egg. I ordered my husband an Asiago Bagel with sausage, cheddar, and egg. Both of us enjoyed our bagel and I can say we would come back again. Both sandwiches were simple but had a lot of flavor. You could tell everything was fresh. I really enjoyed a "homemade" breakfast sandwich. My only complaint is the Everything Bagel was a little salty. During the first initial bite, the salt hit me. Once I kept eating, it wasn't as strong. However I only ate half the sandwich and when I went back to eat the other half hours later, that first initial salty bite hit me again. However, I do like that they basically cover the top of their everything bagel with the everything seasoning mix. You could taste the flavors and I love the crunch of everything and the roasted notes of garlic. The Asiago Bagel was good. My husband had no complaints. He enjoyed his sausage, egg, and cheese bagel. read more

I noticed first that the Bagelry's decor is cute and chic. They had a wide selection of food options on the menu. They have a few stools where you can eat there if you chose. I went with the turkey club on an everything bagel. They asked if I wanted my bagel toasted but I declined. The bagel was pretty good and I would stop by again! read more

I saw this place on my google and it was not far from the office . I took the walk over and was greeting by the friendly workers . I got a plain bagel with sausage and cream cheese , with a side of chives and onion cream cheese to taste . Upon opening the bagel it was packaged well and The reviews were great and I was excited to try it . My sausage was so hard and it was pink on the side and on the out . It tasted awful but I continued to eat the bagel . It was ok a little hard but the chive and onion cream cheese was really good . The bagels are good - I usually order the lox. However- be prepared for a wait on Sundays (usually 20-30 minutes). To me, it's worth it!

Everyone working here was friendly and welcoming. The majority of their customers were locals ordering through delivery services but I felt no less welcome. The bagel sandwiches are delicious but messy. I was SO impressed by the communication among the team working the morning I visited. I heard team members relaying the message they were low on product and others responding to and adjusting for that. This is how a well functioning team should operate. Decided to try this place seeing as I have had bad experiences with other bagel places in cincy, it wasn't bad but wasn't great, it's definitely a place I would keep going to or try again but it lacks oomph, not sure what it is, it's like their missing something but I'm not sure what. I got the egg and cheese sandwich bagel wasn't bad but again wasn't great, someone salted the hell out of the egg which ruined it for me but other than that it was just okay. The best bagel I've ever had. We ordered the avocado breakfast sandwich with Goetta instead of bacon and an everything bagel with the jalapeño garlic cream cheese. At first I thought $7 for a single bagel sandwich was a bit much. But then I realized I've been eating the wrong bagels. The bagel for the bacon avocado egg sandwich on a nice slow quiet Saturday when I visited was toasted to perfection. You could taste the toastiness with every bite. And you know how much do most places charge for bacon and avocado these days? Think the prices here are pretty darn reasonable compared to snobby bagel non-chain places you may find elsewhere. And it may not look like much but it leaves you full. Service was quick and easy. A thing to note is that there's no seating inside or outside, so it's definitely a good place to grab and go or order delivery. The Over-The-Rhine neighborhood is not my favorite area but these guys have put up a quaint service here. Love the everything bagel! All of their bagels are vegan except the Asiago. I got the everything bagel toasted with the vegan smoky cheddar spread. I thought it paired well together. It's not often that I allow myself to gorge on carbs in the morning, but when I do, there's nothing better than a bagel sandwich. The Bagelry knows what they're doing when it comes to bagel sandwiches. I went with a build-your-own bagel and opted for an everything bagel clad with goetta, egg, and lots of fixins. One of my favorites was the jalapeno garlic cream cheese... YUM. The prices are about what you would expect for an OTR bagel shop, but definitely a bit higher than your average deli/bagel shop (at least in terms of the sandwiches, the bagels themselves are just $2). The bagel itself was the perfect texture, not too tough. The sandwich also didn't feel overly greasy, it feels like many shops will butter things up too much leaving them delicious, but artery-clogging (like, even more than normal). You can also choose from a lot of their sandwich menu (as opposed to building your own). The price scared me away a bit, but their lox bagel sounded delicious (but i couldn't justify $10 for a bagel sandwich alone), eventually I'll probably cave and order this though. I've been wanted to try this cute little bagel spot for a while. I was late in the day but I made it. There were not a lot of items to choose from because I got there do late in the afternoon. I bought 2 cinnamon raisin with plain cream cheese. The bagels were very soft on the inside and the flavor was delicious. I'll return earlier so I can try more items. read more

A great breakfast place in OTR. The space itself is pretty small, there is a small bar to stand at with a few stools. They have a decent bagel selection and lots of offerings as far as spreads, proteins, etc. I paid $6 for my sandwich, I think that's definitely pretty steep. But overall, a solid spot and I'd definitely go back. read more

Amazing bagels!!! I just ordered a dozen bagels delivered through door dash with bacon/scallion cream cheese... OMG! Best bagel I've ever had outside if NYC. They toast up crunchy (a lot of bagels won't take a toast very well, they don't get crunchy) on the outside and fluffy and light in the inside. You must try them, you'll never go to Brueggers again! The Bagelry is a simple pleasure, taking the deliciousness of bagels and adding their own unique flair. There are a lot of variety and customizations. For example, I've gotten a deli bagel one time and a pizza asiago bagel another (yum!). If you are craving a bagel or looking for a quick meal for work, I would recommend. Everything is better fresh; so why not Bagels? We tried breakfast sandwiches and a pizza bagel. All are done right. The crunch and chew with super soft interior of fresh made makes all the difference in the world. House made flavored cream cheese is certainly worth checking out as well. Garlic and chive cream cheese was a perfect complement to my egg and bacon on an everything bagel. Pizza sause with garlic butter and motz on a sun dried tomato basil bagel knocked it out of the park. I highly recommend giving them a try for all your bagel craving needs. read more

I ordered a NYC lox sandwich on a salted bagel. The flavors were well balanced between the lox, cream cheese, capers, tomato and onion. The salted bagel was the best part with a crunchy salt exterior (just enough but not too much salt) and a soft interior. The coffee was very good, too. read more

I visited Cincinnati last weekend and we made a stop at the bagelry and the bagel sandwiches were so yummy . I probably waited like 15-20 min for my order which I didn't like very much but the food that I got made it worth the wait. Even when there is one or two people in there, I can count on getting my sandwich in less than 5 minutes. It's so convenient especially when you're on lunch break. Cute little shop in an area of OTR that I hope continues to grow. I've had their bagels at Rooted, and had heard rave reviews about their lox bagel, which is one of my favorite foods of all time (+ haven't found a place in Cincinnati that can do a lox bagel correctly yet). After finally making it to the brick & mortar location, I opted to try a few other things on my first visit. I got an egg sandwich + wheat bagel to eat right away, and a rosemary bagel with the vegan cheddar cheese spread for later. The egg sandwich was phenomenal. The bagel was great (very obviously boiled! yay!) + the perfect mix of crunchy and chewy. Lots of egg, and wrapped perfectly so that I could eat it on the go. The rosemary bagel was also delicious - I liked it better than the wheat bagel. I was so excited they had 3 vegan cream cheese flavors when I visited - such a rarity for Cincy! - but the cheddar cashew cream cheese was just okay. I probably did it wrong by pairing it with the rosemary bagel, but it did nothing for me, and wasn't as good as other cashew cheese I've tried. Bummer. Definitely coming back for the lox bagel when I'm back in Cincy next. What a great addition to OTR! read more

It's just ok. The bagel game in Cincinnati is not the best, so I was pretty bummed that this place wasn't that good. First off, they messed up my easy order which is always frustrating. On the flip side, it's affordable and easy to order online and pickup. The bagel and cream cheese is pretty good, but the goetta was not good at all. Great bagel shop. We got 2 everything bagels, one with original cream cheese and one with jalapeno garlic cream cheese. Both cream cheeses were amazing and the jalapeno one had a nice kick! This is the 2nd best bagel I've had in Cincinnati (the best bagels by far come from a locally owned business out in Eastgate.) I got an everything bagel with cream cheese. It was DELICIOUS and very fresh, tasting as though it had just been made that morning. It was also overpriced though... then again for the area it's in I guess they can afford to charge more, and I'm sure their rent is extravagant. They put way too much cream cheese on my bagel. It was so slathered on there that when I bit into the bagel the two halves separated. But since I was paying $2 to have cream cheese added, at least I was getting my money's worth! In conclusion, it was really great but I would not make a special trip to come here. read more
