Stopped by on a saturday around noon. Plenty of pastries still available. Friendly service. Very small seating area. Lots of paid parking nearby. The cinnamon roll is good, can definitely taste the bit of orange citrus. it's topped with cream cheese which is t my favorite, so i would not order it again. It was also a bit like cake. The chocolate pomegranate caramel shortbread was good, tart. A bit messy. The salted chocolate chip cookie was really good, crispy and chewy, probably taste amazing warmed. The clear winner. The brown bear latte with oat milk was warm, cozy, and delicious. Would order again but there was some graininess at the bottom.

This place is fantastic. The staff is friendly and warm, they know the products and can answer any questions you have. It's a tight space so it's best to be mindful of the space and courteous of others. Otherwise, it's a cute little place on a cute street making DELICIOUS pastries. The cinnamon roll had a tangy cream cheese icing with orange zest. It may be the most balanced pastry I've eaten this year. The handpie got devoured by my kids before I could get a bite but I could just hear the flakiness of the crust. The butterscotch latte was as good as it sounds and they have decaf espresso! Just go. You know you can trust me about a pastry

I basically went on a solo coffee shop hopping morning and found this place in Cincinnati. I ordered the fig and feta cheese croissant and it was sooo delicious. The flavors were perfect and it was served slightly warm, which made it even better. The workers were really friendly and the place had a cozy feel inside.

This little bakery is excellent! We were so thrilled with our experience here - I highly recommend stopping here when walking OTR. We had a chocolate croissant, an apple cider cold brew, an a mocha latte. The apple cider cold brew was interesting, unlike anything I'd had before. I'm not sure I would order it again, but I enjoyed trying it. The latte was made perfectly and the croissant was to die for. It was nearly impossible for us to decide on pastries - everything looked incredible. And top notch service! It doesn't get any better. Be prepared to wait in a line, but it moves quick!

I went to the bakery around 9:30 am on a Saturday and still had all the pastries to choose from. I enjoyed everything I had but my personal favorites were the savory croissants. I beat the rush and the workers were very nice, describing all the options for my matcha latte and asking if I wanted any pastries warmed up. There are only 4-5 small tables and a counter in store and it was busy with the line of people. I've tried to come before during the afternoon and they were sold out. So get there early!

Currently am visiting with my boyfriend from the Bay Area! Saw that one of the reviews was also from the Bay and that they claimed this place to be amazing, so we had to try. They were RIGHT. We had an assortment of savory goods and the salted chocolate chip cookies. We also got the brown bear lattes, iced and hot and both were delicious! The croissants were nice and flaky on the outside, but nice and fluffy on the inside. Everything was super yummy, literally happiness in every bite. As other reviews have said, there's ample street parking. Also definitely get here closer to opening if you want to snag some sweet treats. We arrived around 11:30am and the only sweet treats were the cookies and a plain croissant. The vibe of the store is very chill and calming. Service was great too, everybody greets you kindly and are happy to help. Definitely will have to come back when we visit Ohio again!

Been waiting for them to bring back their twice-baked almond croissant, and it was definitely worth the wait. The croissant itself was so flaky, crispy, and sweet outside. The filling is a bit drier and crumbly, but it had the perfect amount. It was all you could ask for in a classic almond croissant, just twice-baked ;)

Inside the bakery is small and the later you go in the day the less stuff is available. I have tried a lot here before and this was a pretty good day. The chocolate croissant was standard and the beet focaccia bread was better than I expected. The savory options here are often unique. While the sweet stuff is mixed. My favorite is still the orange zest cinnamon roll. I think you have to come here with an open mind, because sometimes I think the flavors are weird but I usually like it! Service is usually nice too. One time I was ordering with my girlfriend and the man behind the counter got frustrated with us like rolling his eyes asking if this was together or separate. I guess he thought we were dumb young girls ordering at the same time but nope, i'm paying for it all so you can relax. That made me originally hesitant to come back but every time since has been nice.

Delicious pastries, fabulous lattes and the kindest staff... what more could you ask for in a little bakery? We arrived at 9:30 on Saturday morning. We waited in line for 20-30 minutes before ordering. The staff were extremely helpful with recommendations and explanations. We tried the cinnamon roll, everything bagel croissant, and a blueberry poppyseed cornbread(?) pastry. The pastries were all so good and we would get all of them again. The brown bear latte was sooo good. Even getting there around 30 minutes after opening, 3-4 items were sold out. If you have your heart set on something specific make sure you get there right when they open. There is some seating inside available and some outside as well. Will definitely be back.

The line wraps around the building for a reason - it's that good. This quaint coffee shop moves the line through quickly which was great, I think most people have been before so they already know what they want to order. Somehow, we missed ordering our drink before getting food - so don't get ahead of yourself once you see the food. We had two seasonal options (it was Easter weekend) and both were fun with carrots in/on them. I'm exciting to go back and try their non-seasonal offerings on the next visit, I'm confident they are excellent, too.

Brown Bear Bakery in OTR is serving up some of the most delicious and creative pastries around! You can truly taste the love and care they put into every bite. The inside is a bit small but they also have seating outside. There's no parking lot so beware of having to street park/pay for parking. With a lineup that's constantly changing and always selling fast, be sure to get there early before they're all gone.

Came for the cinnamon roll and it did not disappoint! It was soft, the icing perfectly sweet and had a hint of orange. The twice baked almond croissant was a tad too crisp for my liking but the almond filling was delicious. Service was fast, staff kind and the location was quaintly cute and inviting. Can't wait to go back (I'm from Columbus) and try more things. Next time I'm for sure ordering coffee as the options seemed great.

This is one of my favorite new cafés that I just discovered. My dad took me here while I was visiting. We had to wait in line for a little bit, but it was definitely worth the wait and you wanna make sure you get here before they sell out of things. I'm usually more of a sweet breakfast person rather than savory, but their savory croissants were surprisingly good. The flavors they choose are really unique and the quality of all their pastries is top-tier.

The inside of the shop is interesting, with knickknacks and things to look at in every corner- kids would love it for this reason! I immediately noticed that there were no prices on the menu... there were cups displayed on the counter with small/medium/large pricing but it wasn't clear what these cups were for- it looked like shakes. It was very off-putting for me to not know the prices of what I'm ordering, especially with more specialty items like cookie dough or coffee/ice cream creations where I can't predict a standard price. Second, there was only one dairy-free option... a cookies and cream ice cream. While it was tasty, it was my only option and that never feels great to order something because you have to. It also didn't have a description or any info available so I was left wondering what made it nondairy... almond? Coconut? Oil? Of course at a creamy whip type place I'm not going to expect the entire menu to accommodate me, but it's nice when there are at least a couple other options- especially with coffee, it would be easy to have a nondairy milk available or a sorbet/dole whip since they already carry many flavors. I tried a tiny bite of my husband's edible cookie dough and it was delicious! Seemed really sweet though- he could barely finish his side by side because it was so sugary--a good problem to have :)) I think I would go back if I had friends with me or happened to be in the area for Blink or the pool or something, but otherwise I would probably choose somewhere else where I have more options s and I know what I'm going to spend.
