While I will rate the bakery items, 5/5 for the deliciousness and appearance, would rate the Brown Bear Latte and Blueberry Cherry Iced Matcha drinks 3 to 4 out of 5 as they were just lacking flavor to suit my tastes. Going on a Sunday was definitely a choice, cause there was a line, but it moved pretty fast. I got one of the seasonals, the cherry vanilla latte, and it was pretty good. Definitely espresso/coffee heavy which I love at times. The blueberry cornbread cake is very corn forward and dense and averagely sweet. What a gem! I stopped into this cute coffee shop as it has rave reviews and it certainly lived up to the hype! I tried the Brown Bear latte with almond milk which was sooo delicious along with the everything bagel croissant with chive cream cheese. My God on today it was absolutely amazing! It was flaky on the outside and soft on the inside just how I like it. The staff was super sweet and gave great recommendations. Literally can't wait to get back and try more of the pastries! The place overall is fairly small but there's a few tables to dine in. There is metered street parking downtown and they get really busy on the weekends and sell out very quickly so I would recommend trying them during the week when it's more calm. read more

I went to the bakery around 9:30 am on a Saturday and still had all the pastries to choose from. I enjoyed everything I had but my personal favorites were the savory croissants. Currently am visiting with my boyfriend from the Bay Area! Saw that one of the reviews was also from the Bay and that they claimed this place to be amazing, so we had to try. They were RIGHT. We had an assortment of savory goods and the salted chocolate chip cookies. We also got the brown bear lattes, iced and hot and both were delicious! The croissants were nice and flaky on the outside, but nice and fluffy on the inside. Everything was super yummy, literally happiness in every bite. As other reviews have said, there's ample street parking. Also definitely get here closer to opening if you want to snag some sweet treats. We arrived around 11:30am and the only sweet treats were the cookies and a plain croissant. The vibe of the store is very chill and calming. We waited in line for 20-30 minutes before ordering. The staff were extremely helpful with recommendations and explanations. We tried the cinnamon roll, everything bagel croissant, and a blueberry poppyseed cornbread(?) pastry. The pastries were all so good and we would get all of them again. The brown bear latte was sooo good. Even getting there around 30 minutes after opening, 3-4 items were sold out. The line wraps around the building for a reason - it's that good. This quaint coffee shop moves the line through quickly which was great, I think most people have been before so they already know what they want to order. Somehow, we missed ordering our drink before getting food - so don't get ahead of yourself once you see the food. We had two seasonal options (it was Easter weekend) and both were fun with carrots in/on them. The chocolate croissant was standard and the beet focaccia bread was better than I expected. The savory options here are often unique. While the sweet stuff is mixed. My favorite is still the orange zest cinnamon roll. I think you have to come here with an open mind, because sometimes I think the flavors are weird but I usually like it! Service is usually nice too. One time I was ordering with my girlfriend and the man behind the counter got frustrated with us like rolling his eyes asking if this was together or separate. Stopped by around 10am on the day after July 4th and sadly, most of the savories pastries were already sold out! But that's my fault since I know many of the reviews have stated that. I ordered the seasonal orange blossom latte which was fantastic, flavorful, and not-too-sweet. I also ordered the miso butter cookie, the salty choco chip cookie (SO GOOD), a pain au chocolat, the focaccia, and the breakfast sandwich. Overall, the coffee drinks and laminated pastry dough was fantastic. I took off a star because I honestly was not wowed by the breakfast sandwich. I do love a souffle egg, but it wasn't super tender or moist and I really think I would've enjoyed a sauce on the sandwich. There may have been a dijoinnaise on there, but not nearly enough sauce for me to taste. I also wish they had some breads for sale since I know they sell bread a their sister bakery. I do want to come back earlier next time to try their savory pastries and I would love to try their sister bakery Two Seven Two as well. read more

The line in the mornings can get pretty gnarly (like, out the door & around the block gnarly), especially on the weekends, since they make everything fresh and can run out of favorite items quickly. This most recent visit, I got the everything bagel croissant on a friend's recommendation. Sooooo good!!!! I will be getting this again at future visits. Their menu is so fresh and has seasonal additions, making each visit different and memorable. LOVE!
