Incredible. Stopped by about an hour before close and they still had a decent amount of sweets left. I got the chocolate chip cookie bomb, 2 brookies, and the pecan chocolate chip cookie. We stopped at Sugar after having dinner in Over The Rhine. The walk up window was wonderful. You can grab a sweet treat and continue to stroll. You could see perfectly what they offered through the window and service was quick. We got there right as they unlocked the door and the employee working was very nice and welcoming! We had Sugar provide the desserts for our office Holiday Party and the praise was overwhelming. The cookies, brownies, and sammies were HUGE hits and people were fighting to take them home to their families. We'll be sure to have them at every gathering going forward. I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place! I first discovered their delicious goods when I tried their food truck at Cincy Soul. Their pound cake was just dense enough while still having butter caked at the bottom the way I like it. However I didn't try their cookies, maybe because I was too full I don't know. Anyway fast forward, it's a quarantine and all throughout my social feed I just keep seeing these incredible creations by Sugar. Nutella stuffed cookies, s'more's cookies, brookies and the list goes on. As soon as they opened their menu for ordering I was in and I'm not disappointed though my waistline may be. The treats are worth all the calories involved! I recently subscribed to the Sugar Junkie Box which is a monthly subscription that allows you to try exclusive treats and snacks. I can't wait to receive the next one but the first was absolutely incredible with a nice variety of offerings for the price of $60. Highly recommend the chocolate chip cookie as one of the best I've ever tasted and the oatmeal cookie sandwich. Accidentally found this place last night while in OTR. I'm almost sorry I found it. These cookies are absolutely scrumptious. A close second to my favorite cookie place in town. I love that they have so many flavors available. They also had two brownie flavors available. Looking through the glass, my mouth was almost watering. I asked the sweet young lady to tell me her favorite cookie and she giggled and basically said they are all so good she doesn't have a favorite. After eating the cookies, I absolutely believe her. The red velvet was omg good & the chocolate chip was definitely a hitter. I could taste the freshness and the real ingredients used (like real butter etc). This place is so good it really is a sin. We try to limit ourselves to one visit a month . We always take out of town family and friends and now they are hooked. I've also shipped cookies to friends. Everything is good. Our favorites are the strawberry lemonade cake and oatmeal cream pie sandwich. They have some fun flavor combinations I haven't seen. Something for every sweet tooth. One of the best bakeries in the city. Since Covid they only have a walk up window, but easy to see what they have for the day. I loved the consistency of their cookies that they had up for sale. The large middle portion was soft and chewy, while the outside made up a harder, crunchier ring. Walking through OTR I found this spot and my while looking though the windows I could t resist. I almost walked away because I didn't have a mask and they are mask required, but she opened the windows and handed me a mask which I thought was great service. I follow them on Instagram and see all the the pictures of cookies and cakes that are posted. they are open for walk up service on the weekend and finally stopped by and ordered the chocolate chip and sugar cookies. the cookies were bigger than than expected and the price was great for what you get. Delicious! Such a wide variety of treats! Cookies, brownies, cupcakes, cakes, jars, etc. They are like the Taco Bell of sweet stuff-using the same 20 ingredients to give your heart all the happiness it can handle. We tried a myriad of treats and each one was excellent. The strawberry lemonade cupcake is full of flavor and fluffy. The cake is light and an excellent strawberry flavor. The lemon buttercream is very delicate and not sickly sweet. I don't know how they did it, but the fruity pebble cookie has a vanilla buttercream on top that legit takes like milk. I liked this cookie, but a little goes a long way-it is super sweet. The Reese Cup Brownie is crazy decadent. Ganache, peanut butter buttercream, and a full Reese Cup top my new best friend. My personal favorite was the Nutella filled Chocolate Chip cookie. They even give you microwave instructions to reach optimum ooey gooey consistency. This was a must have. So many wonderful items. I docked them a star not for the products-those are superb-but for their rather confusing website. I want you to try their stuff, so here are some tips to make your online experience positive: Right now, they are open Fridays and Saturdays noon-9pm. If you want to be sure to get specific items, you can place orders for pickup or delivery starting at noon the Wednesday before. Or, you can gamble and show up at the shop and peek through the window to see what they have. Whether or not you want it delivered or available for pickup, you will place your online order under the "dessert delivered" tab. There is an option to pickup. To decide what you want: 1. Go to shop 2. Ignore the dessert delivered option at first, and instead go through all of the products. Write down your favorites...no seriously, write them down. Once you go into the online ordering, there is no drop down menu, you will have to write in what you want. 3. I highly recommend using a laptop or PC to look at the website and order. I did this on my phone and it was...aggravating. 4. BE AWARE: The online portal gives you an option to choose your pickup time, including ASAP. ASAP doesn't give you any further details or updates. Currently, they are only open Fridays and Saturdays, 12-9pm. The website lists deliveries starting at 2pm. THIS ALSO APPLIES TO ORDER PICK UP. So, even though they open at noon, if you are picking something up, wait until 2pm or later. I discovered this the hard way. Which was, again, aggravating. While I wish the site was more user friendly, please don't let that keep you from getting some tasty treats! Also worth mentioning: 14th Street, as well as several areas of OTR, is under a great deal of construction. If you have a getaway driver available and are super quick about it, you can pause and pick up. Thanks to a Yelp event I was able to try one of Sugar's cinnamon rolls for free and it was so good!! While I was there I also purchased cupcakes and cookies and I cannot quit raving about how good the icing is. My family divided up all the sweets so everyone could try a little of everything. So today was gorgeous and perfect to participate in the Elite Perk with Sugar. I purchased a chocolate chip cookie and strawberry lemonade cupcake. The cinnamon roll was part of the perk. I starting eating the cooking in the car. A perfect chocolate chip, softer inside but crispy outside. I hate when the chips are too much for the cookie dough, I like to taste the dough too. The Recees Chocolate chip was sold out, I imagine it to be even better. The cinnamon roll was too die for. Beautiful cinnamon in the rolls, the icing taste like it has cream cheese in it to me.
