This is a great example of a custom platter made for a breast cancer fundraiser.

Do you love cookies? Well, ok. Duh. We all love cookies. This locally owned, all female-powered shop is definitely worth a visit. Aside from making amazingly delicious, 2-bite cookies in the most tantalizing colors and flavors, they're also going to greet each guest like a dear friend. Check out their website if you need a custom order of colors. I'm not that organized, so the grab and go bags are perfect for me. These ladies are great community members and have been supportive of nonprofits and extra special fundraisers. Thank you! I love taking a cheerful little bag as a thoughtful gift or a thank you. They're always appreciated. And, they're nice and small, so you don't feel so gluttonous! Pro tip: they're small, family owned. Check their hours before going to make sure you don't leave empty-handed.

We got to try a few Burst Cookies at an event, and whoa, they were delicious! The cookies were nice and buttery, the consistency of the cookie was great, and the icing was not overly sweet. These cookies could satisfy even the most discerning sweet tooth. Learning the origin of the name "Firecracker Bakery" was also a great addition to the experience. The owner and cookies should be celebrated!

Look how cheery this place looks!

I can't say enough good things about Gold Spoon! First of all, the Summit Park location is so fun…read morefor grabbing a treat and then going on a walk. The park is lively and has several playground areas for littles and a nice walking trail so we enjoyed a beautiful evening after eating our ice cream outside on the cute patio. The inside of Gold Spoon is really stylish and cute with pink and gold accents and local artwork. There is also ample seating and it was not very crowded when we went in on a Sunday evening. I was thinking ahead of time that the prices would be pretty expensive since this is a one-of-a-kind place with homemade ice cream, but the scoop size was generous, and it was comparable if not a little cheaper than other local Cincinnati scoop shops. And now for the ice cream... Everyone in my family tried a different flavor of a single scoop and we thought the homemade ice cream was so delicious! My mother-in-law is visiting Cincinnati and commented that it was the best ice cream she had tried so far. For me, I really appreciated the numerous vegan flavors as I am dairy free, which usually limits you to only a couple flavors. There was great variety from vegan cookies and cream, to lavender, to fruit flavors, and I also noticed gluten-free and no sugar added flavors on the menu. The vegan flavors are one dollar extra, which was a bummer, but worth it for how delicious this dairy free treat was! I already want to come back before the warm weather is over to try their other dairy free flavors. Everyone working there was friendly and offered samples. Service was quick despite the park being a busy place. Ice cream at Gold Spoon in Summit Park is an excellent experience that I would highly recommend to locals and visitors are like!

I went in expecting gas station snacks and walked out questioning everything I thought I knew about…read morefrozen yogurt. Rhino's Frozen Yogurt is hands-down one of the best frozen yogurt spots around, and yes... it's inside a gas station. Plot twist of the year. The frozen yogurt itself is fantastic--smooth, creamy, and packed with flavor. There are tons of options, from classic favorites to fun, unexpected flavors, and then there's the topping bar... which is borderline overwhelming in the best way possible. More than 100 toppings. Candy, cookies, fruit, sauces, crunchies--you name it. Decision fatigue is real, but worth it. What makes it even better is the sheer absurdity of the setting. One minute you're pumping gas or grabbing a drink, the next you're building a frozen yogurt masterpiece like you're in a boutique dessert shop. It's confusing. It's delightful. It's genius. If you've ever wanted top-tier frozen yogurt in the most unexpected location possible, this is your place. Come for the gas... stay for the yogurt... leave wondering why all gas stations haven't figured this out yet.

Excited to say I will be back!…read more I love frozen yogurt places because I can choose what I add to my bowl and the variety of it. Rhinos has the most options of actually good flavors and topping options I have EVER seen. I specifically loved the vanilla soft serve(very creamy), and for FroYo (cookie dough, birthday cake, cookies and cream, cake batter). The cashier guy was super nice and friendly, and they continuously were restocking the toppings since it was very busy on a Saturday night.

And I want to bring visitors and others who don't know about Sugar Shack yet! The building is freshly painted, clean, bright, and fun for photos. The hubcap ceiling was especially cool. There is a drive-through which was pretty crowded as we were there and plenty of seating in a nice turf area. I don't think of Lockland as having many places to visit, but there really is a great view here of the bridge and old Stearns factory and I'm glad that this place is bringing more people out to the area. I'm currently dairy-free so I was pleasantly surprised by all the options, including Italian ice and dole whip. I got the seasonal dole whip flavor, lime, in a waffle cone...upgrading to the homemade waffle cone was worth it! Delicious. My family got a scoop of hand dipped ice cream and a sundae, and enjoyed them. We all thought the prices were pretty reasonable, especially compared to other ice cream spots in the area. The small scoop is $3.75, so I feel it's affordable to bring my kid out for ice cream versus somewhere else where it's six dollars a scoop. The menu is extensive, the staff is friendly, and the charm is unique. This is a must try!
