So pleased to have F & Goode in the neighborhood! Stopped in while on a walk with our dog to purchase a savory handpie to share. I picked the mushroom, egg, caramelized onion and goat cheese version (there were several tempting varieties from which to choose). The owner kindly heated it through for me and cut it in half and off we went. Absolutely delicious. Can't wait to try more of the items, including the sweets, which look epic. ONE WEEK LATER -- went back to try some of the sweets, which have been calling me all week. My daughter and I shared a slice of the chocolate and caramel mousse cake and a lemon bar. The mousse had a gorgeous texture with a nice hint of salt and the chocolate all around the outer edge was wonderful. The lemon tart lived up to its name beautifully and its thick shortbread base provided a good balance to the lemon. Both were fantastic. We enjoyed our desserts in house. I ordered a few baked goods including lemon bars, a millionaire bar, cookies, and coffee cake to give to clients. I did try the lemon bar which was pretty good. Everyone else said the desserts were delicious. There is paid street parking available, but I was able to run in and out. There was only one person working, and was pretty efficient as she was baking other goods. I came late afternoon, and almost everything was gone, so it seems to be best to go early or order in advance to ensure there's inventory for what you want. There are a couple tables and chairs in the bakery, so it's fine to eat a bite and leave, but not to sit down and work. read more

Unfortunately, very disappointed. Not what we expected. Fell short of discussed design plan of nearly 200 cupcakes and charging their top rate (paid nearly 900.00) and was seriously lacking in simple common agreed-upon colors. After discussing details over multiple emails and multiple pictures of colors and design, including Amazon links to exact colors of simple toothpick toppers (toppers easily found at any party store as well), as well as a lengthy phone call and then finally, with their acknowledgement of what appeared as understanding the most important of was to get the birthday colors right (orange, hot pink and teal). I generously gave 2 stars for their timely delivery of the cupcakes They were on time and set up the nearly 200 cupcakes for my birthday kid, who said everyone was surprised and happy to have a special treat while they were on the road. Otherwise, I would give zero stars. When I brought up my disappointment, the response was put off as being my fault and I was told "maybe I should have hired a caterer instead. " All I can think is maybe they should have been honest and up front and said it was not in their wheelhouse to provide nearly 200 cupcakes. Not everyone has the capability, so bottom line - dishonest person that falsely promised what they could not deliver -- 2 stars for delivering on time and getting them set up. read more

We were suppose to be notified when our Graduation cake was delivered [ didn't happen], [it was delivered to the restaurant as asked , but not notified , had a extra 100 mile round trip to get the cake that no one got to enjoy. no grad caps on the cake, the writing was all on color greyish black, the constitution was cut into two pieces and placed on two sides of the cake. Cupcakes review: So I have been to F & Goode a couple times now. It's not great. It's a teeny place with a funny name. The girl baker is indifferent. No service with a smile or anything. Doesn't make me feel welcome. Cupcakes are not pricey compared to other places but they are also not tasty. The two times I have come they are dry. Choco frosting is good but I haven't liked the others. They are regular cupcakes - no filling & small for $2.50 a piece. I eat cupcakes almost everyday but I won't be back here for them. read more

Stefanie is SUCH a pleasure to work with - she is so sweet and she listened very well to everything that we wanted in a cake. The tasting was so fun; she made us cupcakes in the cake/frosting combos that we wanted to try and made extra so that we could take some home. We decided on a "funfetti" cake with vanilla buttercream frosting. The wedding cake itself turned out BEAUTIFULLY and more importantly was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!
