I was very disappointed in the taste of the cookies and especially the cupcakes. The yellow cake tasted stale, and the frosting was on level with Betty Crocker or Pillsbury frosting. The cookies were acceptable, but nothing like the ones I remember from the previous owners. Busken smile cookies taste much better. We won't be back. read more

Can't believe I've been missing out on this place! 5 stars for their fully stocked cookie counter! This location is very easily missed, it's located in the 5 Mile Center in a long strip closer to Petco. I've been in this center for various reasons and have never actually seen this boutique bakery. I've been missing out because they stock a cookie counter daily with the cutest little sugar cookies decorated to perfection. Cookies range from .50-$5 a piece. Everyone is different but picture the size of a traditional sugar cookie... you can get that for $1 here! This is a very large shop with a large kitchen in the back where they're working on cookies, cupcakes and cakes. I have a feeling their cupcakes are quite popular here so I'll have to come back! I have been on the hunt for good cupcakes in Cincinnati ever since I lived in NY for 3 months. Finally I found THIS!! The gold at the end of Cincinnati's sparse bakery rainbow. And I guess I can't have had a cupcake at every bakery in Cincinnati...but the way my teeth sunk into these cupcakes left about 5% hope of finding anything better. It was like a Sprinkles flashback - perfect balance of thick, ice cream textured icing piled on top of moist yet non-crumbly cake. My personal preference when it comes to the cupcake. Balance. And I guess that varies for every person, depending on whether or not your sweet tooth can handle the amount of buttercream icing that my buds clobber after. I had placed an order with this bakery for some custom cookies for the orthodontic office I work for to be made as a gift for our referring doctors. They exceeded expectations the cookies are not only absolutely adorable but delicious as well. A coworker gave a portion of a cranberry bar from inspired Kind and I was smitten! Then, she told me it is from her sister's bakery. Next time I passed by, I stopped and got the cranberry bar plus a blondie that another customer talked me into. Both were delicious and kept for several days (I cut each into several portions in an exercise of willpower). I didn't try the cookies, but later a fried suggested so go back. Last Friday of preordered 18 cookies and prepaid 33.00 to pick up today September 4th for my Delta Airlines retirement party. I showed up at 230pm to pick up the cookies and they were closed!!! I never got a phone call to say your cookies need to be picked up before 2. I'm so disappointed!! I hope I get my money back. I called the bakery and left a message hoping someone calls me back! She called the next morning and I expressed my disappointment and frustration. I didn't get my money back because she didn't like that I left this review. A business owner needs to understand that the customer is always right regardless what one thinks. I still think picking up the phone and giving a customer a quick reminder to pick up before 2. Especially since the website hours says differently. The owner was so unprofessional when I went in for my refund. She said I'm not giving you a refund because you trashed me on yelp! We ordered a cake for my sister's baby shower. We asked for a nautical themed cake with sail boats and anchors. We got a cake with what sort of looked like sail boats (more like ships from Christopher Columbus), crabs and A HUGE LOBSTER ON TOP. Not at all what we requested. The cake tasted awful and fell apart as I tried to cut and serve it. None of the guests ate it and I threw away 1/2 of it. $100 cake?! Really?! Very disappointed with their service and quality of product for such an expensive, boutique tripe bakery. Had I known I would have gone to Kroger. Big hit at bridal shower! EVERYONE at the shower raved about the cookies and cupcakes. They were beautiful and tasty. The chocolate cupcakes were very dense and moist and the icing had a slight taste of salt which balanced the sweetness. I even had to increase the order the day before delivery and it was no problem. Hateful and unwilling to help. Every time I come in there is another reason why they don't want to take my money- "we are already making three cakes that day" (how are you open selling just three cakes a day?!) or "we just decide what we want to put on the platter" or "I don't know, maybe that's what 3 dozen looks like?!" When we all have Kroger and Servatti to pick from and you're still charging your prices I should be treated professionally, please! I ordered my wedding cupcakes and cake from here in 2014 and had a great experience; however, when I ordered my daughter's birthday cupcakes I felt the young girl who took my order was very short and rude, like I was bothering her for ordering. When I called to make sure everything would be ready to follow up, an older woman who answered was also rude. The same young girl rang up my order at pickup and again, just not very good customer service. They were out of mini cupcake boxes, so some didn't make the short car ride home... overall I just don't think it was very good customer service and the inside needs some work. Recently discovered this bakery. I like supporting local businesses and looove sweets, so I decided to stop in. The entire experience was underwhelming. The ambiance and service left much to be desired. The store itself looked dirty and outdated. I was (sort of) greeted by a woman that was less than welcoming. It almost felt like I was annoying her by being there. The bakery cases were practically empty (it was in the middle of their business hours). They had one half full case with some decorated sugar cookies, one case with about 6 lemon squares/cranberry bars and one case with 3 cupcakes. The chilly customer service and near empty cases led me to ask if they are a new store. I was shocked to learn they've been there for 10 years. I asked if they primarily do special orders...another no. I went ahead and tried a vanilla cupcake and a decorated shortbread type cookie. The cupcake was mediocre, but I really liked the decorated cookie. With all the other bakeries in town, I'm not sure I'll be visiting this one again. read more

We had decided, last minute, to do something nice for my sons bowling team. It was their first year and they were doing amazing. We contacted Inspiring Kinds in hopes that they would help us. They truly went above and beyond to ensure that we would have these treats for the team the day of their tournament. We gave them very little notice, just barely 24 hours. They worked all night to make sure we had them. Everyone loved them and there were ao many people that made comments on how good they looked and turned out. This bakery made our Mom's birthday party this past Saturday fabulous! We custom ordered a 12" cake, cupcakes, cookies and a tray of desserts. We had special requests because it was My Mom's 90th bday and they came through with everything we asked for and more! Our guests were so impressed with the taste as well as the presentation! We were so pleased with the quality of everything we had from them. I was a cookie and cupcake lover before, but the cake was so unbelievable - the icing just melts in your mouth! The pecan tarts and lemon points tasted homemade and really added a nice touch to the table. Happy to have a go-to in Anderson! EXTREMELY RUDE! I had a simple question about one of their cakes. They responded curtly that it is a seasonal item, then hung up on me (I believe it was the owner). I appreciate that they're busy and all - but geez, if you don't want those kind of phone calls simply make your website more informational!
