I LOVE the sticky bun with pecans here. The caramel they use in it is super good. I always pray they'll still have some available whenever I go visit lolol

I enjoy brown bear bakery and looked forward to trying their sister shop two seven two. The have coffee and lattes avaliable. I opted for just pastries this visit. There is street parking out front and a few tables and chairs inside to dine in. I took my pastries to go. I enjoyed the earl grey bun, cardamom bun and savory scone. I loved the savory scone as this often isn't an option at bakeries, it was a corn cheddar and jalapeño and I hope they keep this as a regular menu item!

Espresso lemonade - A layered coffee drink with a dark upper layer and a light lower layer, served in a clear plastic cup with a lid and straw. The drink is placed on a wooden table inside a cafe, with a blurred background showing windows and natural light.

Such a cute little gem in the heart of Clifton. I arrived a little too late to try the pastries, which is unfortunate because they have a partnership with Brown Bear arguably one of the best pastry places in the city. Tried the espresso lemonade which was unexpected, but definitely good enough to give it a go in the future.

Vegan pastries - The image shows a blue ceramic plate with two vegan pastries placed on a wooden table. One pastry is square-shaped with a flaky crust, topped with pumpkin seeds and filled with a fruit or nut mixture. The other is a round, sticky bun with a caramelized, glossy top. In the background, part of a person's arm and some keys are visible, indicating a casual dining setting.

Wow! My fiancée and I are vegan foodie travelers and have been from East to West Coast looking for the best vegan pastries-- little did we know they were right here in our own backyard. Incredible! The flavors were unique and excellent but the texture? Out of this world! The service and vibes were great and the staff puts their soul into everything they do, and it shows. Try their maple oatmilk cortado too! You won't be disappointed.

I've tried this place out a few times now. The first time during their opening month. Tip: get there a few minutes before they open to get first dibs on the options. The place is very compact with two tables and a line of 3-4 people fitting in the door, with a longer line waiting outside. Tbh I feel like they should scratch the tables and let more customers in line fit, it wouldn't be the first time a pastry place had to do so. More recently, they take your drink order and ask you to pick up beverages outside from the window. When they first started they would post to Instagram what was on the menu for the day/weekend. Last I went, it was more of a mystery until you walked in and got to see the case. With the crazy line formed behind me, my anxious self is not a fan of this change. But as someone more than open to experimenting, I end up always finding something to try. Their flavors are complex, combining teas, spices, cheeses, and creams, the list goes on. Their vegan efforts are of another world and indistinguishable from their all-ingredient companions. There are always more basic options than a vegan rhubarb cultured cream cheese and pistachio, such as a pain au chocolate, a blueberry muffin, or a chocolate chip cookie. Tried their green and pink drink-a matcha something, everyone raved about but not my cup of tea. It's pricey with most pastries close to $6, a treat nonetheless. I enjoy the ever-changing menu to keep things fresh and customers returning but I'm a real sucker for something a little simpler executed extremely well. I'm sure I'll return, yet again, but be pickier because of the price. Regardless, extreme kudos to their craft.

Bakery Case - A bakery counter features a glass display case containing various baked goods including croissants, danishes, and pastries. Small signs with labels are placed above the items. Behind the counter, two staff members are visible, one wearing a dark shirt and the other in a blue shirt, with shelves and equipment in the background.

As a huge fan of brown bear bakery in OTR, we were excited to come check out Two Seven Two. It's a compact space with limited seating, but adds to the coziness with the smell of freshly baked pastries. Love the addition of the large glass window panes that look directly into their bakery. The familiar sight of an assortment of pastries welcomes you on your left when you walk in. Little handwritten signs naming each pastry. Prices aren't listed, but they typically range from $5-7. The selection changes depending on which ingredients are available/in season, so there's always something new to try! The employees were patient and helpful in helping us make a decision, since everything looked so good. The two pastries we got were amazingly laminated, flaky, and delicious. I can tell the quality is held to the same high standard as their flagship store. Already off to a great start, will be back!

Inside of twice-baked pecan + oat croissant-- filled and topped with to-die-for filling that makes it almost like biting into a pecan pie

It was fun to wake up Saturday morning to explore Clifton and stop into Two Seven Two!! My favorite item by far was the Twice-baked Pecan + Oat Croissant. I'm not a huge Pecan person, but found it DELICIOUS!!! I find that the bakery is easy enough to meet someone and hangout in-- assuming you do snag one of the three tables! Since the selection felt so limited (not sure if it was a time-of-day-or-always thing) I probably would go to/ try some of the other amazing bakeries in DT Cincy before coming back again.

Counter area featuring a glass display case filled with assorted baked pastries, with a menu board on the left side. Behind the counter, wooden shelves hold cups, cans, books, and decorative items. The setting appears to be a bakery or cafe, with a person partially visible on the right side and a reflection of a person in the display case.

From the makers of brown bear bakery comes Two Seven Two, new to the Gaslight District of Clifton. I have yet to go to Brown Bear but have heard great things, so I had to check Two Seven Two out! The shop is VERY tiny, tucked away near Skyline. There are only 3 tables for seating so plan on getting your coffee and pastries to go unless you get lucky and someone leaves when you arrive! The pastries are very unique flavors which is something that always draws me to a place. I grabbed: Raspberry Five Spice Croissant Raspberry Bostock Sourdough Focaccia with tomatoes and cheese Coriander & Lemon Poppy Bun My favorite was definitely the focaccia. It is a bit like pizza when you heat it up! The raspberry jam in the croissant was amazing but for me the five spice flavor was a bit too overwhelming.

It smells delicious and to have sweet and savory options is amazing!!! Had a pastry party with coworkers! Oh yeah get the CCC cookie!!

Two kimchi grilled cheese pastries, a raspberry chocolate dessert, and a chocolate pastry - A white cardboard box lined with black-and-white checkered paper holds four pastries. Two savory pastries are topped with green herbs and black sesame seeds, while the other two are sweet: one with powdered sugar, a chocolate center, and almond slices, and the other with a chocolate filling and a small red decoration. The pastries are arranged in a 2x2 grid, with a person's hand visible holding the box.

My roommate picked up some pastries from Two Seven Two last Sunday and let me tell you, these are some of the best pastries I've had in a long time! The kimchi grilled cheese pastry was the perfect savory bite, while the raspberry and chocolate pastries were perfect for dessert. I will definitely be going back to check out the bakery in person and try more of the delicious pastries!

Two.Seven.Two is the new Clifton Gaslight bakery from Blair the founder of Brown Bear Bakery in Over The Rhine. This bakery is focusing on small batch local produce baked goods. There was a line on a rainy Saturday morning but always worth the wait. Picked up a few items savory & sweet and incredibly delicious! Congratulations Two.Seven.Two on the new bakery.

A cardboard box containing five baked pastries, including croissants and Danish pastries, is positioned on a red upholstered car seat. The pastries vary in shape and toppings, with some dusted with powdered sugar and others topped with sliced fruit and almonds. The box has a checkered paper liner, and sunlight illuminates the scene, highlighting the textures of the pastries.

Quaint little bakery with the most unique baked goods! It's a small space so you're more likely to get to go but so worth it. Will be back!
