My experience at Sebastian Bakehouse was disappointing. If you are looking for a warm, welcoming, cozy atmosphere to linger, this is not it. Pros: That there are GF offerings! Cons: Chai latte had off putting, almost unpalatable flavor. Almond coupe needed more blackberry flavor, and was expensive for something that felt like it was purchased at a grocery store. If you want enjoy your drinks and/or pastries indoors, good luck. They leave the door wide open, because "it's better for the bread." Do they have a ventilation issue? I tried to sit in their uncomfortable seating, to read and enjoy my purchase...I could not concentrate due to the aforementioned factors. Curious to try their sandwiches...they have GF focaccia. If it's warm, I can see sitting outside enjoying yummy Bakehouse goods a better experience. But currently, Sebastian Bakehouse's comfort is lacking so much that it's only grab and go for me, at this point.
Great bakery from a technical standpoint! All the viennoiserie are perfectly executed. The overall combinations of flavors available are spanning from suiting a more traditional palate to an adventurous one (even if sometimes the more exotic combinations do not work very well). Ambitious bakery, that has definitely the capability and potentiality to do better. Pricing is more on the expensive side, justified for some of the items.
Since they've added their Alveo sandwich shop into the Bakehouse, coming here for lunch has been a go-to for my friends and I recently! My favorite is the Piccante - super flavorful, fresh, and just the right amount of spice comes from the spicy coppa and chili oil to round out the sandwich. Super filling and worth the price! Service is always warm and friendly, and you always leave feeling satisfied, and maybe even end up getting a pastry to go.

This was a cute bakery I actually stopped in because it was pretty cold out and I wanted a hot coffee definitely will have to go back and try one of their pastries they had so many tasty looking options The ambience was nice cleaned organized and almost the teal color which was very enticing. The service was great fast convenience and very nice The coffee was good I did have to go back and add some more creamer and sugar but that's supposed to because I'm more on the sweet side so sometimes it is to be expected overall worth checking out if you're in the area.
Pig & Fig Croissant Danish with a cappuccino. The savory breakfast of my dreams. Every flavor in this dish balances out perfectly. The cappuccino is high quality coffee. Highly recommend!
If I was into TikTok food mukbang, this would be the GO TO PLACE! The pastries look way too good to eat. Like gorgeous. Very clean and sophisticated space. The pastries come in a shoe box style container and just yes all around. Def an elevated experience and the price reflects that so be prepared to fork out (pun intended) some cash for some yummy pastries.
Sebastian Bakehouse is an artisanal bakery specializing in craft pastries. The pastries are beautifully displayed and taste wonderful with refined ingredients. This is a premium product, so do expect to pay more, but for the quality I think it's worth it. I ordered the kouign - amann ($6), ube cruffin ($7.25), cardamom morning bun ($6), and sakura croissant ($7.50). All were delicious and my favorite was the sakura croissant. What I initially noticed with my first bite compared to filled croissants at other pastry shops is Sebastian's was filled throughout the entire croissant. So with your first bite you don't just get dough, you already taste the filling! If you want to dine in because you can't delay devouring your treats, there is a long narrow table top along the wall with bar stools to eat at. Note, there is no restroom in the restaurant, however you can use the one across the street in the community building. Also plenty of free street parking around the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful while ordering. I recommend and will return when in Cincinnati next!
OH MY GOD this place is amazing! I tried to stop by the last time I was in the area but they had sold out. Today I made it in around 11am and they still had a handful of things left! The churro minis had a delicious filling! The matcha donut and pumpkin spice choux pastry were divine! There was only one person working so the service was a little slow but she was so friendly and was doing a great job getting through the line! I look forward to stopping by again!
Such a delicious bakery in the Cincy area! Went at around 8:15 on Friday morning and luckily there was no line. We walked right in and were overwhelmed by all the good looking options. Ultimately, my friend and I settled on splitting a sweet and savory option, so we got the Dubai chocolate croissant as well as the bec croissant. Both were phenomenal - the croissant were soft and flaky and the flavor combos were perfect!
Wow!! I have been wanting to go for a while. To check this out. Saturday at 9am, decent line, but a quick process. We decided to try a few things. Chocolate and Strawberry Cruffin, Dubai Croissant, churro bites, PB&J, raspberry cheesecake Croissant and a couple others that I can't remember the names. Topped it off with a cappuccino. Pricey ($55), but well wiorth it. They are open 8am-3pm W-Sun or until they sell out. It's a takeout place, so don't expect to sit down and eat it there. Great place to get some beautiful artisan baked goods.
Sebastian Bakehouse is a pastry shop, located in Blue Ash at Summit Park. They offer a variety of artisan pastries, desserts, and a weekday lunch menu with sandwiches from their sister spot, Alveo. If you're looking to try a new pastry shop, definitely check them out! There wasn't much service that had to do with this besides them boxing up the pastries. And the shop is little inside so don't expect to eat inside either. This is more of a takeout spot. read more
Who doesn't like French butter and pastries? I'm in love with all of their creations , they lack nothing. You want savory they have it you want sweet they have it . And now theyve added sandwiches and coffee. Get parking look in the bakery window choose and pay . One visit will turn into your weekly routine. I'm glad they decided to bring their creations to blue ash. I've been way more times than I review. read more
Pastries almost too pretty to eat! These definitely come at a high price point, but it is completely justified when you think about how much artistry goes into each, not to mention the high quality ingredients that you really can taste. I definitely recommend getting there as esrly as possible to avoid a line, but their staff is quick even if you do have to wait. read more

Since they've added their Alveo sandwich shop into the Bakehouse, coming here for lunch has been a go-to for my friends and I recently! Wow!! I was stunned by how amazing the food was here. I am a huge fan of freshly made breads and that Tacchina sandwich blew me away!! I love the sesame dessert too although the jelly was a bit much for me. The ambiance is great and I love I can park close in this weather!! Highly recommend!!! read more
So happy Sebastian Bakehouse is (almost) open in Blue Ash! Great location in summit park (almost at the corner, next to sugar and spice) with plenty of free and easy parking and the whole park around to get some steps in/let the kids play afterwards. They aren't open yet, but had a huge selection of pastries to choose from. The line was pretty long but moved relatively fast--the hardest part when it gets to you is choosing which beautiful creations to get and how many! read more

I absolutely adore French pastries. I've even flown to France twice for a long weekend just to indulge in kouign-amman, croissants, crêpes, and macarons! So when I found out about Sebastián Bakehouse, I knew I had to visit. I'm so glad I picked up a few pastries: the cardamom morning bun, sakura croissant, ube cruffin, and kouign-amann (my all time favorite). My husband especially loved the flaky croissant, filled generously and baked beautifully. The ube cruffin was also a lovely treat (a fan of ube since 2 years old). While the morning roll didn't quite live up to my expectations as it was a bit dry, it was still enjoyable. The kouign-amann, though, was a bit of a letdown as it wasn't as crispy as it should be. They also sell coffee and have tables to sit down. Still, I'm happy to have found a spot that brings a little taste of Bretagne and Paris in the Midwest! read more

All of the reviews are true, I won't bother repeating how delicious my 3 items were. My big issue is when I ordered each item, the nice young lady placed everything on the counter. I don't care how clean it is, I would prefer that my items be placed directly in the box or bag. Hopefully when I return, I will be able to request this with no issue. Can't wait to grab another pastry once it warms up and head over to my favorite park. read more

The Bakehouse is still only open as a pop-up-style operation on the weekends for the time being, but I could not wait to try their pastries! I tried both the vanilla cruffin & pumpkin spice cruffin (croissant + muffin = heaven). They were $7.25 each. Both of the wonderfully flaky pastries were dusted with sugar & filled with perfectly flavored creme. I will absolutely be back to try more things - including the coffee when they have it! read more

This the second Saturday that I've come here for their pop-up bakery goods. They were opening at 10AM, and I stood in line about 9:45. When I left the line was longer. The same friendly workers were there (same as last Sat.). The assortment of goods was wonderful! Today I bought a morning bun, a few butter croissants, olive oil/rosemary/sea salt sourdough foccacia, a mushroom quiche, and a hazelnut muffin. The croissants, focaccia, and quiche are repeat orders from last week. They are so good that I had to get more!! Their croissant dough is SO flaky and light. They use this dough for their quiche as well. I will definitely be back! read more

Beautiful and delicious! I was in Cincinnati for a visit with local friends. Intent on indulging over the holidays we stopped at Sebastian Bakehouse after eating an Amareno Bun at another location. I managed to resist buying everything. Standouts for me were the Hazelnut Paris Brest, the praline and flavor and the textures were perfect. the Kouign amann, an exemplar of its kind, the gingerbread new york roll, surprisingly good flavor. My friend said she loved the BEC croissant, proclaiming it the best balanced breakfast pastry with excellent smokey bacon flavor. I loved the flavors in the Mango Passionfruit Coconut Crube, but the there was a bit too much crube to fillings. That said, if it were offered to me I would scarf it without hesitation. read more

Amazing pasties! We tried the blueberry lemon donut, Churro bites, cheesy bacon croissant, Pig and Fig, and almond croissant. We'll definitely be visiting again! Recommend getting there fairly early in the day for the best selection, as they sometimes sell out before close. The staff is friendly and suggests keeping your box for a future discount. read more

A wonderful treat to indulge in every once in awhile. The croissants are so flaky, aesthetically beautiful and have great fillings. I have enjoyed many treats (sweet and savory) and appreciate when they honor AAPI history through their ingredients. I'm excited for their new location, and sad it is further from me. read more

I love finding new bakeries, recently opened up at Summit Park. They have a variety of pastries and cookies to pick from, they all look delicious and it was hard to make a decision. They offer coffee as well, which pairs perfectly with a croissant. I highly recommend the cardamom morning bun, perfect balance of sweetness. The staff was very friendly in helping select the perfect pastries. It offers more of a takeout experience. If you're planning on eating there, you can take it to the park and enjoy. read more

Back here again!!! Been stalking them and saw that they are launching their cakes on weekends menu now! Been waiting for those cakes to come on their weekend menu as I can't polish a whole cake on my own. So slices are what I need! Woke up real early for it about I guess I'm still late.. the line this weekend is crazy! Was sad that I didn't manage to make the cut for their Mont Blanc Tart ): Thank God I still can get L'Opera and the new Isaphan. Got a couple of other pastries as well like pistachio croissant! Still think my favorite is the L'Opera cake. Hoping to see more of those French cakes in their weekend menu! read more
Okay, let's go! Since moving to Cincinnati from San Diego, CA (literally a week ago) - I was researching places for legit pastries.. specifically croissants. And I found it! I checked out their website and Instagram and knew that I had to stop by this weekend. I knew the pastries would go fast but didn't realize THAT fast. My husband and I showed up about a little over two hours after they opened and literally 90% already sold out. Damn! Luckily there were still turtle cheesecake croissant danishes so I ordered two and three white chocolate cranberry cookie. Turtle cheesecake croissant danish... Super good. Incredibly flakey and not overly sweet which is great. It still has a nice savory element to it. Went well with our homemade espresso and tea. Honestly.. I need to do better and should preorder or come super early. Highly recommend coming here. It's a little pricey but worth it because the quality is spot on. Lastly.. the packaging is super cute! read more
Cute shop with pretty pastry. People are queuing for their pastry and they are open on weekend till sold out! Ube cream- Personal favorite as it had the most filling. I like how the condensed milk oozes out of the ube cream and it's not too sweet Coconut sago and mango passion jam- could only taste the strong passion fruit Uji matcha& salted cream- just a faint matcha taste, nothing too special Truffle mushroom &white cheddar quiche- THE BEST for now! The crispy exterior with soft gooey cheesy interior and big mushroom chunks in every bite!! It's cool how they stick a QR code on the box so you can easily access the instructions to reheat their pastry for the best experience. The donuts is best eaten in the same day and can be a messy treat! The sugar falling everywhere and filing oozing out with every bite~ read more

I highly recommend starting your day with a few treats from Sebastian Bakehouse! The owners were incredibly nice and their setup was perfect and convenient. I will start by saying the peanut butter and jelly donuts weren't my favorite but I think that's because it was a higher quality peanut butter and jelly than what I'm used to, ha! The macarons were devoured first, then the chocolate chunk cookie. Both were amazing. My absolute favorite thing was the cornflake toffee cookie - I would have eaten 10 of them. The churro bites were also delightful and my husband and son may have fought over them! read more

Made the trip to Sebastian's's Bakehouse. Had followed as they had increased their presence in the Cincinnati area, but this was the first time to be able to try out the products. Was very impressed, a very sleek, modern approach to a product display. All of the pastries looked lovely and inviting. I purchased a variety ( couldn't decide on just one or two). The preferred way to eat their pastries is slightly warmed so the butter is melted and the flakiness is its best. Even knowing that I had to have morning bun as soon as I left the shop. I resisted the mango eclair until I reached home - but did not share !! The flavor nuances are interesting and as the motto says "there is no fun in being boring". Will absolutely be back read more
